- danielgh (8/5): Great hotel - with a little touch, it would have been outstanding - The hotel itself is gigantic - everything is made at superlative. Interesting handcrafted, meticulous art displayed in the main hall. The room was spacious and well conceived, with designated spaces well defined - it even had a walk-in closet. The designer paid a keen attention to the combination of colours and decorations - all nicely matching in symbiose. The bathroom was very generous in space and sparkling clean perhaps because of the marble like materials used. The breakfast was generous and well conceived even for an expat. I think the armchair provided for the working desk is a no match - it is too shallow for the purpose. A revolving armchair would have been better. The shower/toilet door (sliding from one to another) was badly corroded at its bottom part and requires replacement. I think the restaurant at first floor closes much earlier then the printed schedule, all without a warning. I would have expected from a hotel of this caliber to be able to call taxis promptly on a dedicated line. Instead, the concierge used personal phones and DiDi app to arrange for taxi - that looked flimsy.

- Hitomi (8/5): 快適 - 施設が綺麗で快適に過ごせました。 こちらのせいですが、金庫のパスワードを忘れてしまい、開錠をフロントに依頼したのですが、滞在中に対応いただけなかったです。（金庫内に何もいれていなかったため問題はありませんでしたが）

- Dirk (4/5): Schlechte Lage, schlechter Zustand - Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit grossem Dopoelbett und Hafenblick gebucht. Bekommen habe ich 2 Einzelbetten und kein Blick, höchstens auf die Fassade des Hochhauses gegenüber. Weder Genius- noch Marriott Bonus Vorteile wurden gewährt. Der Herr beim Checkin sprach fast kein Englisch. Mühsame Verständigung mit meinem wenigen Chinesisch. Im Hotel keinerlei Ausschilderung, Fahrstühle in der letzten Ecke versteckt. Zimmer kalt und keine Möglichkeit, die Klimatisierung zur Heizfunktion zu bewegen. Es kam nur kalte Luft. Hotel ist schon älter, was man Ausstattung und Zustand ansieht. Frühstück typischer Sheraton Durchschnitt, aber etwas schlechter als andere Sheraton in China. Lage des Hotels im Niemandsland. Es gibt Nichts, was man zu Fuss erreichen könnte.

- Muhammad (8/5): Great value hotel for family stay, with friendlier staff and brighter rooms it could get much better - I liked the grand entrance, the comfortable rooms. Was close to Jilong Road Metro station which was good to use to go in and out of the city. I did not like the room was super dark, even with all the lights on. Did not like the concierge attitude , as he was not helpful at all. He simply wanted to finish the conversation with out providing me a solution. Which is a shame, because you would consider your own hotel staff to be as friendly and helpful as your family in a foreign land. But I found people on the roads were more friendly than the hotel concierge during the day shift. The Spa service was really below standard for such as establishment. There are no shops close to the property to purchase fruits , etc.

- Melanie (9/5): Superb - We loved our stay, the staff were so helpful even helping us tell taxi drivers where to go for our early morning flight which took a lot of stress out of it, because there's a language barrier. Our room was so stunning, and absolutely huge. It's totally my fauly for not looking up the location properly, as it was 40 min taxi from The Bund etc, but it was really easy to get to the airport via taxi which is what we needed for our overnight layover in Shanghai. Overall, it was wonderful! Nothing, everything and everyone was great!

- Anne (4/5): Very old style, with substandard service. - The pool, spa, steam room and sauna. The size of the room was good too. The staff were very arrogant especially those at the front desk and at breakfast room. I have stayed at various different hotels of varying grades in China. This hotel has the worst service by far. They made the customers feel as though they do not have money to pay. They even charged me double the room charges for deposit. Their breakfast was nothing to write home about.

- Oskar (10/5): Sheraton Waigaoqiao - one of the best hotels I have been to, - great service - competent English speaking staff - clean, well-kept rooms, - wonderful bathroom, - good location, close to metro line 10 - 44 minutes from the SHA center - great breakfast - dinner is available in the lobby and in the room - sauna, swimming pool, and SPA, great infrastructure. I recommend it to everyone - I will come back here too

- Pei (8/5): Very good - The room was spacious and clean. The interior design is neat and up to the standard for Marriott. The location is right next to the subway station where you can commute to the airport and high speed railway station quickly. The breakfast has many choices in the buffet. The cleaning staff are energetic, courteous, and proactive. The AC was broken and when I requested it to be repaired, the staff came in delay to the point the room temperature hiked up to 30 celsius degree when outside temperature was around 10. I eventually requested to change to a different room and they reluctantly agreed.

- Susan (4/5): - The concierge staff was not very helpful. My colleague's luggage was lost and we could not get helpful advice on where to shop for replacement clothes. The Bay Leaf Café food was dreadful.
- ILIA (10/5): Good choice for business stay - Solid choice if you are in the area on business. Clean, comfrtable and the breakfast is good. Probably less optimal if you are in Shanghai for sightseeing - it is quite far from the city center.
- Kimberly (4/5): Customer Service at it’s worst - We booked this hotel on the pretense of a shuttle being provided for a Disney Trip we have been planning. We found out once we arrived that there was not shuttle and the airport service they offer costs more than hailing a taxi yourself. The hotel is almost an hour away from anything in the city or Disney so it was not feasible for us to stay there without these amenities as the time and money was more than we planned for. The hotel staff had no solutions to the problem and acted like they really didn’t care. She said no we don’t offer those things. We stayed only one night because it was so late by the time we arrived. I said we would only be staying one night if our reservation and the lady at the desk said ok you will not be refunded. Customer service was not at its best here and yes I understand what Hotels.com says about cancellation and refunds but I expected a lot more from a Sheraton hotel. I would not recommend this hotel if you’re hoping to enjoy the city of Shanghai or Disneyland.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice room - I was impressed with good services by the Hotel GM, Alex by taking care of my luggages to the room when I checked in after midnight with no doorman available. The room is great, nice size and comfortable.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - When we just checked in on the first day found an apple charger on the desk. After we went out to eat and came back it was gone. The cleaning staff snuck in and took it, when we are not in the room but we still had the card key in the room (shows occupied). The staff tried to take it for her own gain, this is a serious security problem I really hope no one else loose anything in the room. So we called up the manager told them the situation, they apologized sincerely and gave us fruit basket as gratitude. I have to say this is hotel is relatively new, but the build quality is not very good. The public bathroom even missing locks at the toilets. Far away from city center, but for business is good.
- Jaime (10/5): Nice stay at sherathon shanghai - this sheraton hotel has it all service and excelent quality installations, its a good location near subway station line 6 just be careful with fake taxi drivers at airport or train station since this hotel is kind of far from downtown

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel itself is pretty nice. They helped me call a taxi but the taxi driver just let other people in and drove away right in front of me, which is weird. Other than that it's a nice stay.

- Kristi (10/5): A very nice hotel to stay in Shanghai. - The room was very nice and luxurious, few restaurants indoors and helpful staff. English speaking staff was helping with taxi drivers who generally in Shanghai does not understand English.
- Dariusz (8/5): Spacious rooms and facilities - Plenty of room, quiet and comfortable hotel despite the industrious surroundings. Staff was ok, but the food was disappointing. Unless conducting a business in the free trade zone, it is not a convenient location for visitig Shanghai and sightseeing.
- Jeff (10/5): Great hotel for business - Everyone was very helpful even though we didn't speak mandarin. The food at the Japanese restaurant was really good and the breakfast buffet was satisfactory. The room was fantastic and comfortable and I really have nothing but nice things to say. They even helped us print out items for directions and recommended great places to eat.
- Wai (10/5): - Strictly for stay. Neighborhood is business/industrial area only about 1/2 hour from downtown Shanghai.
- tom (10/5): Great hotel in OK area - Very nice hotel with some very fine (read: expensive) furnishings in the lobby and common areas to admire.
- PK (10/5): Great weekend getaway - We spent time here during mid-Autumn festival and had a wonderful time. We were upgraded to a suite based on our spg membership. The executive suite was being renovated so we were welcome to use their lobby bar. The happy hour was a full dinner buffet. The area was abandoned but we were there for only one night. Overall great hotel with helpful staff and stellar rooms.
