Tatiana (2/5): - Simply horrendous! Just because the description says private bathroom don't expect it as it's just a private toilet. The fire alarm is faulty and loudly beeping - flashing lights and says call an engineer, but the owner couldn't be bothered. It was so bad that we had to book another place even though we arrived quite late. We had to threaten Expedia with the legal action to get our money back as they kept saying that the owner is refusing to refund so tough. Never again. AVOID!
Verified traveler (6/5): Dissapointed - On first coming in the place looked quiet and fine could see it needed some updating which wasnt an issue that is what it is especially in this economy. We were greeted by a lovely lady at the door and a dog barking away in the staff area. On first glance the room looked fine clean bedding hoovered basics in there ect which for the price of the room we expectd, basics there even if it was tiny but on firther inspection it wasnt that clean the private toilet area looked like it had been given a quick wipe over there were hairs stuck all over, the sink tap needed to be on full blast otherwise the water wouldve gone all over the floor and flooded the toilet and a bit of dust in the room its self. Then looking at the shared shower that wasnt clean it looked as if it had been recently used the glass was dirty and the base of the shower was covered in some orange stuff and the sink was broken so we couldnt use those amenities. The matresses were well over used and not very comfortable. There was a plug socket that needed to be plugged into another plug socket in order to use it which is rather concerning. Family members stayed across from our room theirs was the same the shared toilet wasnt clean, there was even poop in the toilet bowl. They also tried to report that there was a leak coming through their ceiling from the above room but the staff there were disinterested in that fact. I wish i wouldve had time to take photos of the place. its not a place I'll be booking again.
Elizabeth (4/5): Not good. - Not very welcoming, given key, told where room was, we wanted to book breakfast as advertised to be told they weren’t doing breakfast. The single bed was so uncomfortable I had to place towels down to try and cover the springs and bumps. No shower, Will not be using again.
A2910USdrewd (2/5): staff lie.. pee stain pillows.. seeing in the dark, just avoid please - well, well, well, where to begin... firstly on arrival we was met by a rude young lady barefoot.. she seemed more bother that we had disturbed her... then later on when we returned to check in, (as we arrived early and was just leaving bags to go PB) when given keys no information about having to book in for breakfast in the morning. however we was told by another customer that he was informed the kitchen wasn't open as oven was broke. nothing too bad so far.. however a hotel in which no drinks are allowed up stairs, the bar was also closed as the staff member who works it was ill. not great when you have 3 kids with you (one autistic). both communal toilets had no lights in so kids didn't want to go bathroom alone, the shower room looked like a construction site. a few pillows had yellow stains.. looked like urine stains tbh with you.. then after we complained through booking.com about all this. she lied saying we was rude because we didn't have a on suite.. we booked knowing it was communal bathrooms. we believe this is just a generic response as she would have to refund us some pennies.. I'm not one for leaving a bad review but this place has proper took the biscuit... please, please avoid.. spend that extra bit of money for a place that has all the commodities
M5528WCmattp (2/5): Avoid at all cost, Definitely need free cancellation with this hotel. - All I'll say is.....If you're after the Ryanair of hotels you've come to the right place. Don't break down on the motorway for goodness sake because these guys will not give a damn even though we have a disabled daughter with autism and adhd and suffers with epilepsy. An employee who we spoke to is basically THE COMPUTER SAYS NOOOOO woman off Little Britain and has more customer care a brick wall We don't know what the hotel is like because we didn't even get in the hotel because they refused to open the door and let us in as we were too late for checking in and nobody to help although I'm sure if somebody was to be causing trouble in the property I'm sure they'd be up and ready to kick them out.....Anyway avoid at all costs they are the pits and very unhelpful.
David (4/5): - When staying at a budget bed and breakfast you expect a reasonable amount of cleanliness and quality of bedding. Unfortunately this expectation was not met on this occasion. The bedding looked like it had seen better days down to the incredibly lumpy pillow. It was clear a table had been just cleaned with a wet cloth rather than polish given the streaks on it. The shower looked fine at initial inspection but even that could have done with a better clean. The outside of the property should have told us what to expect with long weeds coming out of the paved area. First impressions normally count for a lot and ours were disappointing. Probably would not stop here again.
Ben (4/5): - First impressions were not the best from the mould on the blinds on the ground floor room, the door latch on our room was nearly broken slight force would have allowed anybody to walk in. The toilet on the landing was clean but the light did not work meaning going to the toilet in the night was difficult, as our room did not include the toilet inside. The street outside was very busy lots of shouting and car traffic, unfortunately we could not close the window with how high it was situated, the musty smell was not nice either. The staff were not inviting with little to next no enthusiasm or inviting personality seems to be run by young people. There were used cutlery underneath the bed along with old McDonald’s toys from happy meals. If I was on a stag do I would stay here for one night maximum providing I was not need cleanliness and hygiene. This is why I have reviewed this stay so low. Positive was the location is close to the tower and amusements.

GAIL (6/5): - Very convenient for The Tower, beach and Winter Gardens. The area is a bit run down but this is Blackpool in all its shabby glory. Paid extra for breakfast and it was excellent. We arrived at 11.30am and the room was ready and we were able to check in straight away, much appreciated. Small, Clean double room, comfy bed, good Wi-Fi
Q1510ARamandaa (2/5): Not as advertised!!! Shocking! - Well… where do I start! Firstly the room is relatively standard which you would expect for the price that’s a definite! We paid for a private toilet because both of us unfortunately suffer from IBS, understandably for privacy and comfort this suited us better. Yay private toilet we was happy, that was until we actually went to use the toilet and it wouldn’t flush!!! We went downstairs to let them know the toilet wasn’t working and we was told “ I’ll tell my mum” although telling her mum didn’t really do anything because nobody came to look at the toilet. This however led us to put on our big girl pants and just go to the shared toilet and guess what! They both didn’t work either, being on a floor full of men too, which you can imagine was absolutely disgusting and smelt really bad. Lets continue to the bathroom the cold water tap didn’t work and unless we both had mysterious shave there was loads of little dark hairs where someone had clearly shaved and it hadn’t been clean. Pipes on show was absolute beautiful aswell as the shared shower being absolutely shocking!!! Next let’s go to the sea view it advertised.. their thoughts on a sea view is the back of the hotel it was which was disgusting. I’ll give them one thing the bed was pretty comfy but to be woken up by their dogs barking and a child being shouted at ( the cleaners child) was not the way we wanted to be woken up this morning. Oh and I got bitten too! The pictures on trip advisor definitely need updating because it looks nothing like them! This is not ‘ value for money’ and if I’m quite honest I wouldn’t even allow a dog to stay there. On a positive note… a night out in Blackpool is fun!!!

Had to cut our stay short due to the uncleanliness and the stench , no apology no nothing. The place is like the pits. The sink was filthy , the toilet was dirty and not flushed , dirt everywhere. Bedding was dirty , I’ve come away with a rash all over my body, please please don’t waste your money staying here.

Duppy010 (2/5): Makes Faulty Towers Look Like a 5 Star - There's wasn't much to like. We had no idea when booking that there was no private shower only a communal one. The private toilet we had was filthy, the toilet seat wasn't attached and the previous guest had left us stains as a gift in it and urine over the seat. There were stains on the wall that looked like blood. Breakfast was a let down as we found a long black hair in our food, rather than replace the food entirely (I am an qualified chef) which is basic food hygiene etiquette they simply removed the hair and placed the food back on a new cold plate and gave it back to us like it was new. I had sliced into the food before hand so I could tell it was the same when it came back. The TV remote wouldn't connect to the TV and the 'Sea View' was a lovely view of the back of other run down hotels. Also the cups hadn't been cleaned so we refrained from using the brew making facilities. Over all Faulty Towers would have been better.
M2625DXtom (10/5): What do people want for £45? - Have to laugh at some peoples reviews on here, if you want a top notch hotel go and pay top notch prices. We payed an extra £5 for a bigger room, larger bed, large smart TV with freeview, lovely clean walk in shower with hot water, no noise had a great sleep. We hadn't booked breakfast by mistake but within 20mins we had 4 full large English breakfasts with coffee,tea or orange juice and as much toast and cereal you could eat. On the day of departing we were allowed to put our bags in a locked room to save us carrying them all around Blackpool. Lovely friendly owner we will be back between Christmas and new year.

marychain1 (10/5): Impressed - Four of us stayed here on a Friday night before a Half Man Half Biscuit gig. We were pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive it was on booking. On checking in, we were given a key to a dorm style room. There was a nice six bulb light fitting illuminating a pleasant 3-bunk room, although there was only one working bulb, so it cast some unsettling shadows. There was a live plug socket dangling directly above the kettle. Like literally right above it. The wifi was functional. The password ended in 2016, which coincidentally, was the last time our room was cleaned. The one toilet was on the floor above but there was no sink to wash hands afterwards. There were no towels for the shower. The whole place smelled faintly of urine. The mattresses were extremely thin. There was someone snoring that sounded like a dragon using a buzz saw. 10/10 Would stay again..
Pete1959Lee (2/5): Just Dont - We arrived late Friday afternoon. We were met by a young female who gave us the keysnd to our 'luxury' room. The room was freezing and smelt of damp. The blinds had traces of dampness on the slats. The duvet cover was discoloured, and in need of an update and again felt damp. We could feel every spring in the mattress. I went into the toilet to freshen up only to find there was no running hot water, not a problem I thought to myself, boil the kettle, which I did, only to find the sink had no plug, again not a problem, using my blue Peter skills, moulded myself a makeshift plug from toilet paper. The shower was disgusting, covered in body fats and grime. We are remembering that this is the hotels 'LUXURY ROOM' I am a Hygiene Manager and my honest opinion is this place should be closed. It is not to a standard for paying customers to stay. If you have looked at this place, and are considering it,......... JUST DON'T........ LOOK ELSEWHERE

The beds were not clean stunk really bad foisty and also blood on the sheets very disappointed even spoke to them but wasn't bothered ended up walking out and going else where definitely wouldn't recommend

We arrived to a dirty room that didnt smell to great, found out in morning that the kettle had been used as a toilet when we came to use as could smell urine while it boiled and then discovered 1 of the beds had blood stained sheets. I woundt let an animal stay there, please aviod and the rooms were not cheap either!

Sheets dirty, mattress paper thin and could feel every spring, mouldy curtains, door doesn’t close on a communal toilet. Never had breakfast there so cannot comment on that. It’s awful filthy dirty, wallpaper hanging off the wall, dirty sheets a kettle full of urine!!!! Never ever have a seen a place like this I’m surprised it hasn’t been closed down as a health hazard

For the price we paid, the location was perfect and the hotel was at a far better standard then properties in the vacinity. The room was fairly spacious with a decent sized shower room. Drink was extremely cheap too. Overall fab stay and would definitely stay again.

Roger (2/5): 3* are you having a laugh. - Listed as 3* but I can only dread to think what a 1* would be. This is very basic living. Double room a joke, about 8 foot by 6 foot. No drawers. No wardrobe. No chair just one small stool. Described as part en-suite. What a joke as all it has is a wash basin. It is not en-suite. Parking is misleading as Hotels.com described it as 'self parking £6:50'. In UK that sounds like you can park on site but they'll charge £6:50. Rubbish. It has no parking. The nearest car parks are all £14 but demand appeared to be several times capacity. We spent 90 minutes looking for a space and parked nearly 1 mile away so access is dreadful. Checkout is also early at 10am and breakfast is only available in a tight 30 minute window. Not very accommodating for what was hoped to be a relaxing weekend. Probably the listing was at fault as this might be typical of the area.
Beki (10/5): Perfect - Great B&B. Would definitely stay again. Very welcoming when we first arrived. Room was very clean and modern. Bar was extremely well stocked with everything you could wish for. Their cocktails were fabulous (the first time I've ever had a sparkler in my drink!). Really friendly owners. Great location - right in the middle of everything, with tram stops nearby. Breakfast was fresh and well cooked.

George (10/5): Spot On! - Brilliant, The owner was very very helpful and he hotel its self was perfect very clean and in perfect location. New Pillows needed but perfect everywhere else.
