We were on the fourth floor, we are both in our 70s with various health issues. If I had known there was not a lift I would not have booked the hotel.

I would defnitely return here. - The restaurant is in such a beautiful location, with a terrace overlooking the river and Wat Arum. We didn't try the food there so cannot comment on it, just had some coffee sitting on the terrace. The rooftop bar also has spectacular views in both directions, over the river to Wat Arum and on the other side to Wat Po and the memorial towers. The night view is unbelievable as everything is lit up. the staff in all the venues was very solicitous and kind, although the service is a little slow. Everything you need is in the room although it is small. Little to complain about. No elevator. Room small in size but fully equipped for what I needed. The hotel is somewhat inaccessible. The taxi driver had trouble finding it when she brought us and the street is often blocked by laundry trucks requiring you to get out with your luggage and walk down the street to the entrance. On the way back, we had preordered a taxi through booking.com and it never showed up, possibly because that taxi driver also couldn't figure out where the hotel was despite our trying to contact him. I suggest you let hotel staff order a taxi for you as they may know people or companies who know where the hotel is.

L'albergo è stato ristrutturato con intelligenza da un antico edificio con risultati esteticamente veramente interessanti e piacevoli. Anche se il personale è sempre immediatamente disponibile per trasportare le valige, la mancanza di ascensore in caso di camera al 4° piano , non è proprio piacevole in tutte le situazioni e momenti della giornata.

Colazione eccezionale con una vista su Wat Arun meravigliosa. La zona è molto turistica e la strada dove si trova l'albergo è assai sporca e pieno di rumore.

- Sandra (7/5): Ok pour 1 ou 2 nuits pour visiter la vieille ville. - Son emplacement près de la vieille ville, la vue sur Wat Arun et sa proximité près des temples principaux (Wat Po, palais royal)… et egalement du Rajadamnern Stadium (grab nécessaire). Pas d’ascenseur… mais le personnel est serviable et s’occupe des bagages. Entrée de l’établissement via une impasse avec des entrepots/centre de dispatches. Dommage ca gache une peu la premiere impression. Chambre ok mais wc et douche très étroit… on se sent un peu suffoquer… Cependant, c’est décoré avec soin et gout. C’est joli donc ca passe. Déjeuner pas inclus.

Personnel très gentil . Le restaurant a une vue magnifique mais la nourriture n est malheureusement pas à la hauteur et même pas très bonne en comparaison de ce qu on peut trouver ailleurs, voire dans la rue.
- Steve (6/5): The area is better to visit than to stay in. You pay a premium to be there, but it’s just not worth it. Stay someplace t - The room was comfortable. The breakfast that was included with the room was terrific. I was able to sit outside and enjoy the view and listen to the monks. That was after I asked waiters to turn off the music that they had playing. But breakfast was plentiful and delicious. There is no Elevator. Someone carried my bag up, but there was no one to carry it down and it was very heavy. The stairs are a little like a spiral staircase they wind around, which is not great when you’re carrying heavy luggage. The hotel is located down a narrow, short alleyway. Every morning trucks deliver all kinds of supplies to businesses using that area right outside the front door of the hotel as a drop off point for their supplies. It doesn’t feel clean. I had a standard room for over $200 a night that had a view of a roof and a window to another building. That was all I could see. I thought I was going to have a view. I didn’t at all. Well, the location is right across from the grand Palace and that is convenient, also consider it’s jampacked with tourists. It’s like getting a hotel room in the middle of Times Square.

The panoramic view over the Praya and Wat Arun and the sunset view. The entrance on a side street that cars can’t access to, the small common areas, no lounge area. The rooftop is packed of external guests not giving priority to hotel guests to seat.

- Alexander (10/5): Five Star! - Our stay was fantastic and the location of the hotel of great - close to the major sites of Bangkok so only a short distance to go! The room and hotel overall were constantly clean and tidy which made our stay extremely pleasant. Even the small details such as candle oil burners to make the room smell nice and clean aromatic towels made the world of difference. We were provided with welcome drinks, a complimentary bottle of bubbly for the room, and a complimentary drinks token to use in the rooftop bar which was also a very nice touch. The breakfast was great and overlooked the river towards Wat Arun which was always lovely - the staff were also great at providing us with a really nice breakfast box for our early departing excursions. The hotel was great value for money and I would definitely stay here again!

- James (6/5): Great location.poor value - Great location and view Hidden charges on face values,10% service charge and 7% VAT. Just state the full price like everywhere else. Charged for still water in rooms. First time I have ever been charged for that in Thailand. It wasn’t even in a sealed cap bottle.
- Annie (9/5): Great views - The location must be one of the best in Bangkok for views and accessing the main sites. The river view room was well worth it for a spectacular day and night view of Wat Arun and all of the river traffic. It's a 5 min walk to the ferry over to Wat Arun. At the same ferry stop it's possible to hire a long boat for a canal cruise - well worth it. Wat Pho temple is just behind the hotel and the Grand Palace entrance a 12-15 min walk. The flower market is a 10 minute walk. Breakfast Menu - (not buffet) offered a good choice of cooked Western and Asian options. The roof top bar is a must - for the sunset views (best to book). The website and booking.com site said private bathroom, but it's not and I didn't like the configuration. There is a separate shower and a toilet which share a single sliding door, so when one is shut the other is open - also the inside of the door is reflective and there's a bit of a gap, so if you are in the toilet cubicle and your partner decides to have a shower you can see their reflection and vice-versa. The sink sits in a bar (like a breakfast bar) in the bedroom in front of the toilet and shower, so you are brushing your teeth, and doing all the personal bathroom necessities in the bedroom in full view of your partner. As others have mentioned there is no lift, but staff will carry your luggage upstairs. The stair case is dark with black stairs, so visibility isn't great. We had an evening meal in the restaurant. It was fine, but the service was abysmally slow - at least 25 minutes for our drinks order to come and a much longer wait for our food (ordered at the same time as the drinks). One of us had to go up to the counter at the back of the restaurant to ask for our plates to be cleared and to order a dessert as the two staff on duty were more interested in talking to each other and didn't tour the floor to see how everyone was doing. There are plenty of other good restaurants a couple of alleyways along, also with river views - and the service was much better. Otherwise the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Signs for the hotel at the beginning of the small street would be helpful. The roof top bar had loud pumping music late at night making it hard to sleep. No elevator should be advertised.
