Guest Reviews
- Tony (5/5): Value price but a reflection of the condition of accommodation. - Convenient location on site parking. Property in general has a slightly run down feel and look. Room was ok but could do with an overall refresh. A lick of paint in the rooms and communal areas badly needed.
- Thake (8/5): Lovely place to visit with ideal comfortable accommodation. - Great choice of breakfast. Staff were very helpful & went out of their way to accommodate our specific needs. Location was superb with 5 min walk to river & 10 min walk to town centre .
- David (8/5): Excellently located, convenient and good for a short stay. - Proximity to the centre + good car park. Breakfast a touch basic. Steep, narrow stairs to room

- Tracey (8/5): Great location centre of town free parking - Friendly staff great location N/a
- Jeremy (7/5): The Pub was nice a friendly and the food was good - Friendly and the breakfast was good The shower did not work I. Room 4 as there is a water pressure problem in the room the shower was either to hot or to cold as the regulator was defective
- Howard (8/5): Good. Just what I wanted -
- Colin (6/5): Reasonable stopping off place if walking the Thames path. - The staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor was a bit tired and needed some refurbishment.
- Mark (10/5): Excellent value - Very good value. The room was very clean and well fitted out the staff were very friendly. Well situated. It could do with a touch of paint here and there
- John (4/5): - Location Breakfast was poor quality and on second morning unable to enter restaurant/ bar as locked and nobody about so pre paid for breakfast that wasn't available refund?
- Fleming (10/5): - Great Breakfast very enjoyable
- Cheney (9/5): - Great location, very friendly team and the member of staff on Sunday morning was a star
- JOHN (7/5): Very welcoming. - Good breakfast and helpful staff who found us a safe place for our bicycles.
- Nathan (8/5): Overall a pleasant stay and glad to have onsite parking in Marlow. Excellent choice of beers in the pub too. - Good central location with parking onsite. Good value room rate. Open mic night in the pub was unexpected but at least I had some earplugs. Steps into the bathroom also a challenge.
- Lance (10/5): Super - Comfortable, friendly staff, generous breakfast, good location close to centre, very good value for money All good.
- Droscher (3/5): - The bedroom was well appointed and comfortable but difficult to access up a narrow staircase. The staff did help with our cases. The pub is tired and although the man cooking the breakfast was friendly we did not enjoy the breakfast. Very greasy cooked breakfast No fruit or yogurt just cereals.
- Vivienne (5/5): Disappointing accommodation for the price paid but great location - The breakfast was very basic.
Drinks were served yourself.
3 cereals of choice
Cooked breakfast was available: we had toast/bacon sandwich.
Both satisfactory
The bar/pub was friendly and welcoming
The best thing about the pub/hotel was its location.
Very close to Marlow Town Centre/High Street.
Walkable in about 8 minutes The stairs were extremely steep to the room.
The carpet was threadbare in places.
Whilst the room was quite spacious it was quite ‘tired’.
The bathroom was very 90’s…and could do with a good deep clean.
The electric shower did not work properly
One minute cold: next boiling hot.
Shower ceiling was mouldy.
- marcella (9/5): - Location Parking limited
- John (7/5): Good value for money - Really nice cooked breakfast and cereal options.
- Jesper (8/5): -
- Abi (7/5): - The location was good.
Unfortunately we got a call and had to leave so we didnt end up staying but we used the room to get ready for a party. We were looking forward to breakfast. We couldn't get any hot water from the shower.
The TV signal was poor.
- Deborah (6/5): - All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I wasn't expecting it to be a pub, and check in was at the bar.
Breakfast was very limited, although cooked well.
- NARRINDER (9/5): - Staff friendly and welcoming.
- Laura (8/5): - Lovely breakfast cooked to order Difficult to park as hotel car park spaces largely taken up with non-patrons.
- Joose77 (6/5): Great Location and friendly staff - Staff were very wrecoming and friendly.
Excellent location Room Decor very tired. Some damp on the walls, It is an old property that needs some remedial work and updating

- ALLAN (10/5): Marlow Lovely Stay - Spacious bedroom and large toilet, shower room. All clean and immaculate. Situated in a quiet area of Marlow so good sleep, no outside noise. I stayed in Room No.3 and I was very happy with it. Usually you get a room and a tidgy bathroom well this was big. Comfy bed with tea making facilities. If I'm every in Marlow again I will stay here. Right near the railway station too. Absolute top notch Full English breakfast that kept me going the whole day. Nothing to report.
- Nick (7/5): - Location. Friendly bar staff Cleanliness
- Gina (4/5): Very disappointing. - Very convenient location and car park. Our room was around £152 and for this we got a very shabby double room that badly needed redecorating. Large damp patch on the wall which was peeling. The window was directly on the street so would have benefited from frosted glass. Instead we had a black out blind that we had to keep down all the time. No shower gel - just some hand soap. Electric shower with little pressure. Very poor value for money.
- Alan (7/5): quiet and clean nice people - very clean comfortable small room with en suite good shower plumbing etc
quiet and nice people /staff small room bit squashed even for two difficult stairs up and down to room overlooks road and car park

- Michael (7/5): -
- Emma (10/5): -
- Neil (3/5): -
- Rosie (5/5): Basic room above a pub in a good area. - Simple room above a pub. Quiet area. Relatively inexpensive for where it was. The rooms are in need of renovation, very basic, haven't been shown much love for a while. My lights didn't work, mould on the ceiling in bathroom.
- Terri (3/5): We were only overnight so it didn’t matter too much - Location is good. Five minute walk into town. Scruffy pub. Expensive. Threadbare carpets tho our room was clean and thoughtfully provided - fan as it was very hot. No garden. Seating was in the car park
- Lily (9/5): Lovely place to stay. Conveniently near town and has parking which is big bonus. Staff were lovely! - Near town.
The parking facility.
And accommodating staff. It can get noisy at night but that’s to be expected especially at weekend. There were people smoking cannabis on the street below as the smell travel up to the room.
- Mark (10/5): Brilliant - Amazing stay and fantastic staff
- Wilbert (7/5): -
- Darren (8/5): Really good full English breakfast.👍 -
- Jane (6/5): - No breakfast offered just after 9 ! Truly shocked
- Doug (8/5): -
- Brett (10/5): - Perfect set up All good
- Donna (10/5): Great location, would definitely recommend - Lovely friendly breakfast staff, happy to do whatever you needed
- Michelle (10/5): - Staff lovely and great location. Lovely locals pub
- LEE (5/5): OK for an Night - Room with clean with a comfy bed. Nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Parking The building was tired and unloved. Wifi wouldn't connect.
- Len (6/5): Marlow is worth visiting - Location and parking Staff very helpful Bathroom no heating as radiator not functional. Staff supplied electrical heater. Cold room. Needs redecoration. Small room.
- Jane (5/5): - Location No breakfast after 9 so missed it
- fiona (8/5): -
- Laura (9/5): -
- Jenny (8/5): - Location and staff
- John (8/5): A great pub, nice rooms and great hosts - would definitely stay again. - A good little pub near the centre of Marlow Wasn’t keen on some steep stairs to our room.
- Andrea (3/5): Good location but would not stay at this dirty pub again! - The location was good, walking distance to Marlow’s high street The room was dirty, the carpet had big stains and the room desperately needed decorating. The water pipes were really noisy, banging if the toilet was flushed.
The entrance was dirty with a strong smell of weed.
- Jo (5/5): Great location but not ideal in terms of practical set up - Location No front door with locking/opening key
- Philippa (3/5): -
- Simon (7/5): Great location for Marlow town centre - I didn't have breakfast but it looked good The room was very small
- Marlon (3/5): - Location. Close to the station and High Street. That was really lovely and convenient. Hygiene. The room was really bad. Wallpaper came of the walls. It was damp, the walls were moist. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom.
They told us they were going to close the room to renovate it. A good thing because like this you can't receive guests.
- Andrew (10/5): Superb value - Excellent value staff very nice and helpful hotel free parking and only 500 yard from Main Street would certainly stay again
- Jonathan (9/5): - Nice staff, clean room and great value
- Gary (9/5): Excellent base to visit the Marlow area - Friendly ‘local’ Pub. Room tucked away was clean and warm. Used as a base to get ready for a local party, we arrived early afternoon and ate at the pub and then showered changed in the room before going out. Up in the morning to an excellent breakfast before leaving. Had circumstances been different I would have stayed a further night and explored Marlow. Nothing
- Gary (8/5): Great location - great value for money - Great location, good breakfast and free parking Room could do with re-decorating
- Romana (10/5): -
- Kira (10/5): Really good pub stay. - Good room for a one night stay. Clean, tidy. Amazing breakfast and such lovely staff!!
- KAREN (8/5): Good local in great location for all of Marliw - Great location. Has free parking
Accommodation was in a building attached to the pub
Only a small number of rooms but clean, cosy and comfortable
Breakfast was good and tea/coffee/water and complimentary biscuits in the room
Staff were friendly and helpful
Pub was friendly and seemed like a good “local”
Would recommend The stairs to our room were quite narrow and steep
You do have to go outside between the rooms and the pub for food. It is a semi covered walkway
- Martin (9/5): -
- Roger (8/5): -
- Clare (5/5): Good location, could do with an upgrade. - The breakfast was good quality and generous serving. The location was close to the High Street. Dirty carpet. Very noisy music as right above a pub.
- LeicesterFox (8/5): The Prince of Wales suited our needs regarding accomodation and location. - Full English Breakfast large. Cereals, toast and hot drinks and juices good. Difficulty finding a parking space.
- Faye (10/5): Fantastic option for visiting Marlow - Great location, clean and comfortable, friendly staff, great atmosphere, great breakfast. Nothing.
- Julian (8/5): Would definitely go again if in the area - Excellent room adjacent to the pub. Very close to the town centre and river. Friendly staff. Value for money. All good thanks Nothing.
- HB (8/5): Great value for money - Ideal location, friendly staff, clean bedroom.comfy beds Pub seats stained, bar needs a bit of a spruce up
- Christine (8/5): Cosy and clean with a hearty breakfast - It was central to where we needed to be
- Piet (5/5): -
