- Susanne (7/5): Gut - Historischer Altbau

- Mark (8/5): Enjoyable stay in a nice market towm - We liked the location very central in the town. The breakfast was good with a decent coffee. The staff at the old post office were pleasant and helpful. The value for money was very goo The stairs to the room were quite steep and the water pressure could be a bit stronger
- Gail (8/5): -
- Nicky (7/5): - It was clean , staff were friendly and the breakfast was good The bathroom needs updating, and it's across the hallway
- Charlotta (8/5): Nice room and helpful staff - Breakfast was standard, cereals and English breakfast. Not much to sing about, standard fare but it was ok.
The room was really nice and a bit quirky in a British way and very cosy, under the eaves. Everythi g worked ok but for the cold tap in the bathroom. I think if you are not familiar with how British hotel rooms can be you might think it a bit scruffy but I was pleased. It was clean, got tea and milk and a working kettle and tv. Bathroom could do with an upgrade, now very basic w a shower curtain and taps that were a bit erratic in using. It was quiet, you would not think you were in the middle of a city. A bit of noise from the music in the pub but that went quiet in time for bed. Staff was nice and helpful with the suitcases. This hotel is not suitable for someone with trouble walking stairs. There were several of them in order to get to my room. Ok for me but not I think for someone with bad knees. I can absolutely think of staying there again next time I visit Shrewsbury. The cold water tap in the bathroom stopped working but I told the guy in the pub and they would see to it. Staff was very helpful!

- Charis (9/5): Perfect location and value for money - Perfect location and great value for money Breakfast was average but that reflects in the price
- Duncan (10/5): A friendly and central pub, 10 minute walk from the station. Compatible bed, good private shower and loo, great breakfas - Clean and friendly Nothing

- Glenn (8/5): - Great Staff and location Thought breakfast was a little disappointing
- Les (8/5): - Great area, lots going on. Pretty central to everything . Had all we needed, room was compact but clean and the breakfast was excellent Needed a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries.
- Peter (7/5): - Staff went out of his way to help get our bags to our room (lots of stairs and we are elderly) Shower was a bit ordinary
- Michelle (8/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): enjoyable stay - great location.. perfect no coat / towel hook in room
- jane (9/5): - Stayed here several times and always enjoy it. OPO is very central and has lots of things going on. The bar is great, and serves reasonably priced tasty food. Drinks are also reasonably priced. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and there is an excellent breakfast included in the room rate (full English, toast, yoghurt, cereals) the rooms have fresh towels and tea/coffee facilities. Some of the room furnishings could do with a bit of TLC, but would not put us off from staying again. Overall had a fab time at the Loopfest. Will be back next year 🙂
- Steven (8/5): Nice stay - Central location, staff very friendly, good breakfast, bed comfy. Great value No parking nearby when we tried to find the hotel. You are best parking at St Julians Friars and walking up.
- Grainne (8/5): The over 60s review - Staff were very helpful and friendly.plus, the food was very good. The one very small drawback was the stairs however, we in the end viewed them as part of our exercise routine.
- Karen (10/5): Cost effective - Staff were helpful and friendly. Check in was smooth and quick. Definitely worth the cost. Room was comfortable and clean. Water pressure in shower and basin was very bad. Lots of doors to go through to getti your room.

- Laure (10/5): - The location : it felt as if we were in a very old village with fantastic architecture and very friendly locals N/A
- Lisa (6/5): - Nice breakfast You get a key to your bathroom, but the handles on the doors are very hard to impossible to open especially late at night or needing to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. The door handles need to be updated, it was a constant source of frustration. On leaving we asked to leave our luggage in a safe place which was fine, there was a door to an outside room (which anyone could have got to). We were told it would be locked but it wasn't. Lucky things did not go missing
- Neil (8/5): A very comfortable, attractive hotel with a few drawbacks, but excellent value. - The location was superb, right in the centre of Shrewsbury, within easy reach of the many restaurants there. The selection of beers, both real ales and keg beers, was excellent. The breakfast was very well cooked and tasty All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. In the room, there were no lights above any of the mirrors, making shaving a little difficult. Having an external, though private bathroom was a little inconvenient, but we knew the situation when I booked. In the shower stall was very compact and there was nowhere to put toiletries, other than on the floor.
- Shaun (10/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): Comfortable and pleasant room - Good location and nice room Some of the decor was unfinished (loft hatch in room 6)
No hot water when I arrived at around 5 in the afternoon.
- Karen (10/5): - 2nd visit. Location perfect. Got to have the breakfast this time and really nice. So was the Sunday Roast. All the staff are really good and work non stop. Karaoke was really fun. Nothing to not like
- David (10/5): Lovely stay thank you all see you soon again - Loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again. The only downfall was the stairs but wouldn’t put me off staying there again. The staff and Richie the owner was all so welcoming and helpful and breakfast delicious and you could choose off the breakfast menu. Rooms lovely and clean . Nothing worth mentioning
- Lynn (8/5): Comfortable and characterful place in a good location. Freshly cooked and tasty breakfast. - Good location in the middle of the old town. Friendly staff and good breakfast. The water pressure in the sink was very poor. No on-site parking.
- Ken (10/5): - The location was excellant right in the town.
It was definately value for money. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellant. We will definately be going back again.
- sheila (7/5): Very good value - Excellent location staff very good but difficult to access rooms because of stairs but this did not detract from stay Stairs as both in 70s but would return as excellent value for money breakfast very good quality and towels and bed linen very high standard
- charlotte (8/5): Thank you it was great - Breakfast was wonderful Too many stairs to the room
- Karen (10/5): - Great location. Room really quiet seeing as it is town cente and they have karaoke on. Nothing
- sharon (8/5): Good. Value for money & friendly staff - Everything. Value for money. And friendly staff. Nothing was too much for them. We liked it all. Thankyou
- Luc (9/5): - Vriendelijk personeel, de centrale ligging. Geen kast of plaats voor toiletgerief op badkamer, kleine douche.
- Arthur (10/5): Thumbs up for the Old Post office. - Nice clean rooms, lovely breakfast, polite and friendly staff, centrally located. N/A
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Nicola (8/5): Short - Great location friendly staff nice breakfast Taps ran verrrrryyyy slowly
- howard (8/5): Really enjoyed - The location is ideal for the main town. The place retains the ambience of being old yet updated. The breakfast menu was varied and plenty of it. The karaoke on sunday night was abysmal. Not the fault of the staff, i admit, but auditions should happen before performance.
The wi-fi in the room was a bit flaky. Book reading is essential.
- Jane (8/5): If you require any kind of quiet stay don’t stay here on weekends the taps in the bathroom also need fixing - Good location comfortable room good breakfast I was delighted to be upgraded to a double room however having been told this was a live music pub I was not prepared for the bass making my room tremble from 9pm to 11.15pm although if I stood on the floor with socks on I had a very good foot massage,
- Munib (7/5): -
- Harmer (10/5): A cozy Shrewbury hide away. - The staff were always happy to help and you wee welcomed like friends. The food was delicious and the bed was really comfortable. The room was clean and cozy. The location had everything that Shrewsbury had to offer on the door step.
My daughter spilt her tea on the bedding and they brought up fresh and told us not to worry. GREAT hostess that cooks a delicious breakfast. Only staying one night.
- JOHN VICTOR (10/5): It was just a pleasant couple of days with the post office as a base. - Once again the post office and the staff, couldn`t have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent as was the Sunday dinner. the location is just a walk away from everywhere. The room was lovely and warm, it could have done with a chair(s) though. It was just a great place to stay and the staff were all very good.
- Sandy (10/5): Walking holiday in Shropshire - Brilliant place, great breakfast, and lovely food in their restaurant in the evenings The owner was so lovely and nothing was too. Much trouble. I was even given a room upgrade on arrival lovely surprise. Loved the old Black and White Building so pretty. Very quiet in the evenings as the accommodation is situated behind the main building which is a pub and restaurant. Definitely one to return to. Nothing to dislike

- Geoffrey (10/5): Absolutely amazing property with great character and amazing staff. - What an absolutely amazing place dating back to the 16th century. The building is full of character and has amazing & welcoming staff.
Breakfast was very clean & tasty too.
Don’t expect a brand new, level floor accommodation, this place is old and is just full of 16th century architecture. Nothing it was perfect
