The anguish of having weak WIFI signal at the hotel room & the under average room conditions was compensated by proximity to supermarkets, shopping malls, food courts & open air markets.

- julian (4/5): Basic - This hotel is fine for a couple of nights stay. Very basic and worn out, could do with a complete refurb if im honest. Cheap and thats about it. Its very close to the Thai Consulate as it is within a 10 minutes walk away, which was the purpose of my visit.

Kota Bharu as nothing of an attraction to anyone unless do a visa run (Thai Consulate just 10 minute walk) or on your way to Perhentian Islands. Hotel is tired and out of date with poor maintenance, poor furnishings and poor facilities. Bonus near to the one and only bar in KB and close to China town. Internet may as well be none, I was using Pizza huts free WiFi, thank you Pizza hut.
