Guest Reviews
- manning (10/5): -
- Marchand (10/5): - Everything, the fairytale walks was cute and the zipline was fun
- Graeber (10/5): -
- Darryn (7/5): -
- Babka (7/5): -
- John (7/5): - The beds were pretty comfortable. The breakfast was only fair. The omelettes were dry and there was no orange juice, which is usually found for breakfast at most other hotels or resorts .
- michael (10/5): nice place - 1st floor n/a
- chris eicher (8/5): -
- Austin (10/5): -
- Janet (10/5): It was good! - We were there for a wedding so only slept there and left.
- Louis (9/5): -
- Adam (10/5): - Great experience
- Donald (8/5): - I really loved this place the first time we stayed here! The last two times were a let down. Mattresses/beds in our room were smaller than standard beds and very uncomfortable for two people (especially for my 6 foot tall partner).
The breakfast staff are not friendly, cold and rude. No smiles, no “good morning”, just treated as an inconvenience. Breakfast ends too early (9:30 even on weekends), and check in staff does not make sure to tell hotel guests of this, causing people to miss breakfast.
- SCOTT (6/5): Second floor is not handicap accessible - All in all I would give it a 6 on a 10 point scale. The lack of an elevator and the tall and scary staircase leading to the second floor was challenging to climb, and should have be mentioned prominently in the Hotel's description.
- Randall (8/5): - The property is nice and clean (maybe a bit out dated). The grounds around are nice. The only complaint i would have is some peopl came in after midnight, drunk and loud. Not really the hotels fault.
- Kim (10/5): - Well maintained, showers were awesome, they needed to bag the grass
- Jack (7/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not worth it - Room felt very outdated. Mattress was not up to par. Service was friendly and amazing.
- Jerome (10/5): - A very clean and quiet room. A lot of areas on the property to relax and enjoy the evening
- Josh (2/5): - Air conditioning did not cool the room, was set on low with blinds closed for hours and had to sleep in 78-80 degree conditions. Beds have mysterious powder underneath. Bunk beds have food crumbs, women’s sanitary pads, and a generally musty odor. Shower water smells more like pond water. Left feeling dirty and as if we needed a sanitized spray. Didn’t sleep more than one consecutive hour due to sweating. Highly regret my decision to stay here.
- Ramirez (8/5): I'll be back - Grounds Gross pool showers
- Jeff (10/5): - The staff I can't remember the name of the woman that check me in but she was awesome great attitude and the people doing breakfast were fantastic also
- Eric (10/5): - The room was clean, the breakfast food was great, the pool is awesome, the staff are friendly and great, and the area is safe and beautiful.
- Steele (3/5): Poor - They had to shut water off for over 24 hours. Couldnt bath or use toilet
- Hope (10/5): - Very well decorated and classic
- Hope (10/5): - They have rooms available with jacuzzi tubs in the room
- William (3/5): Poor -
- Banks (9/5): Nice place but seems staff short - Nice place Staff was not readily available
- Vicki (5/5): Stay - Beds were comfortable, and blankets were warm. The beds were comfortable. Horrible tv viewing options, instructions for TV viewing were confusing, and the TV didn't work. The front desk staff member had to reset the tv, which took about 20 mins. The AC unit was so loud that it made it difficult to sleep. Didn't care for the bathroom sink outside of the bathroom. Had to use the blowdryer which the other person wasn't able to hear the tv.
- Charlene E (6/5): - Loved my stay. Off season. Not much attention to cleaning room. There 6 days. Never entered room to clean had to ask to get clean towels. Not ADA compliant. Unable to access laundry facilities due to steps and no elevator. Doors
- Angela (10/5): - This was a very nice place. They could use a refresher. Description stated dining and spirits. Does not have a restaurant or bar, only small kitchen for breakfast items and small bottles of wine in the convenience area.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- Donna (3/5): Very disappointed. - Enjoyed having someone make eggs of your choice. Had to wait 10 minutes to check-in as the front desk was not manned. We needed a room on the first floor due to husband’s knees (he’s scheduled for surgery). Our room didn’t have an electric outlet on one side of the room (perhaps because it had a jacuzzi which was turned off). Lamp was missing a light bulb. Again, I had to search for staff to make a compliant. Exterior door nearest our room wouldn’t work with fob.
- Justin (2/5): I have stayed before and really enjoyed it. My one bad experience was very bad - I had a jacuzzi tub room. Well I finally decided to put it to use and let my 4 year old get in it. We filled it up with water. Clean and clear water. But then I turned the jets on. And out came a brown or rust colored debris that got into my child’s eyes before I could lift him from the tub and I ended up having to pin my son down while trying to hold one of his eyes open at a time stabbed a whole in a water bottle so I could flush his eyes while he screamed of course. That was what I would call a freak accident. But was not and am not happy about it. The hotel is overall a very nice place other than that. I just wish I had spent the $400 for the 2 nights somewhere else Check your jets on your tubs.
- Kelly (8/5): - Was ok. Priced too high
- Sherry (8/5): Very good - Large rooms No ice on 2nd floor nice place
- penny (10/5): Love this place - Great place we have stayed there four times
- Melissa (9/5): Superb -
- Tana (5/5): It was ok. - Location and scenery Beds were very uncomfortable.
- Nicholas (10/5): Great place to stay! - The entire experience was comfy cozy, it's a beautiful place to stay with your significant other or a family trip, the entire place was very clean and the staff are extremely nice, I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone, the price is well worth the stay! I didnt like that my time here had to end so quickly, it was a lil get away I wish I could get back
- Julie (10/5): Quiet, restful stay! - Super friendly and helpful staff!!
- Jennifer (8/5): Nice place - It’s a nice little place to stay
- Ashley (9/5): Superb - exceptional cleanliness
friendly staff
beautiful location price
some outlets didn't work
tv signal was poor
toilet REALLY low
- Ellen (7/5): Unusual, large property which we liked. Overall, fine. - Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good. Building/room looked tired, in need of some sprucing up.
- Spencer (2/5): - Bed bugs
- Sonja (10/5): Quaint and Memorable Place - Much attention to detail, very quaint place offering perks that are out of the ordinary, which made it that much more adorable. Will definitely stay here again!
- Christopher (5/5): It was ok, but not worth $160 a night. Next time we will just pay a little more and stay at Oakwood - Ac didn't work properly.
Shower didn't work properly
Vanity light didn't work
- Mel (8/5): - The shower head in our room wasn't operating properly, I was told on check out it was being addressed.
- Maureen (6/5): Great location! - Breakfast was great after we returned from Mass !! I'm not old but how do you get away with no elevator? That can't be ADA compliant. I'm very capable of carrying my bags, but my parents would have needed an elevator ~ too many steps.
- Kaine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenna (6/5): We were initially happy with our stay until the fire alarm went off in our room early in the morning - The location was close to the wedding venue we were in town for. The property was nice and the rooms were pleasant. It had a homey feel to it. When checking in the ladies at the front desk were very friendly. Our fire alarm began chirping around 6AM. When we called the front desk to get this issue addressed, they told us there was nothing they could do. With as loud as the fire alarm was we were not able to fall back to sleep and ended up leaving earlier than expected and did not get a full night's rest.
- Garrett (4/5): - Our toilet wouldn’t even work. When we told staff, they did not fix it. Would not recommend staying here.
- Jacci (8/5): It wasn’t good. Was pricey at 459.00 for two nights - It was comfortable. Barely spent any time there, but to sleep. No light in the shower/bathroom, no one made up my bed or checked the room for the second night?
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - This place was beautiful and peaceful! The bed wasn't comfortable but other than that, our experience was great.
- Miller (8/5): Nice getaway weekend place - Aqua massage Room was cold
- James (7/5): Good -
- Michele (10/5): Unexpected stay, new to the area, very pleased with the cleanliness and location. - Very clean, well kept and updated
- Gregg (10/5): Exceptional -
- penny (10/5): Awesome - This was our second stay! We love everything about the place
- Mark (10/5): - Beautiful property with a lot of amenities. Close to food and lake.
- Dawn (10/5): I would recommend as it is a Perfect place - Perfect location Did get to spend more time their
- ken (10/5): - Nice rooms. Quiet.
- Thompson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trisha (2/5): - Arrived at 330am to find out the heat and television didn't work very outdated beds weren't comfortable notified the front desk just to find out the heat didn't work he lied and said it was fixed just to leave the room he said he would leave a note for the manager to contact me just to find out the manager wasnt there i called back 2 days later just ro find out she still wasnt in we usually stay quite often but probably wont be back we asked to be moved to another room he said they were full
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My husband and I along with our son and his family stayed 2 nights, very family friendly and pet friendly. Our Dog and Grandbabies loved the trails they had fun exploring.
- Catherine (10/5): - Na
- Delpriore (10/5): This was our wedding night stay. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and overall just the peacefulness of your property. - Staff was attentive. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great! Really have no complaints! We would like to come back when the weather is better to enjoy the outside amenities.
- Lisa (8/5): - The staff was super attentive and made us feel very welcome. We had a late night craving & they didn't hesitate to make us a pizza .
We will definitely be back.
- Cathleen (8/5): Good - Stay was good
- Brittany (2/5): - Property is outdated and the carpets are covered in stains and look very dirty. The beds are very uncomfortable. Neither of us could sleep at all the two nights we stayed. The daytime from desk lady seems to not like her job and not very nice. Breakfast was non-existent. Went down at 9:10 to eat, breakfast is available til 9:30. She let me know twice that food wouldn’t be served anymore in 7 min. There was only dry cereal, oatmeal packs, juice, coffee and the “grill” available which was just eggs and blueberry bagels. The front desk lady makes it, which she seemed annoyed to have to do. She walked in from the front desk, didn’t wash her hands and without gloves started pulling my bagel apart to make. I would’ve rather made my own food than do that. Would not stay again.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): A great night's sleep - The decor is a bit dated but the beds and linens are very comfortable AND a good night's sleep for their guests is a high priority. This was probably the quietest hotel I've ever stayed at. Ever! And there are made to orders eggs for breakfast.
- David (10/5): - This resort gives a lot of bang for your buck! Amazing hotel, grounds, and features.
- Raymond (10/5): - Everything you could ask for especially for the price. Would recommend to anyone that is looking for a nice stay in Syracuse. Can’t beat it with a stick 👍
- Raymond (10/5): - Absolutely nothing wrong with this place. Mom and Pop style but not in a bad way pool was 89 and served more than the moneys worth
- Roxanne (9/5): Would recommend and stay again. - For being an older hotel this was a nice place. The place was clean, staff friendly, pool warm for grandkids, pet friendly and had a nice breakfast set up. This isn’t a newly renovated hotel but had everything we needed. I felt safe staying there with 3 young grandkids. Was close enough for food and snacks. This had nothing to do with the hotel itself but the inconsiderate guest. If a hotel is nice enough to be pet friendly and not charge an outrageous amount for that privilege pick up after your pet!!!
- Brooke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Corey (8/5): - Our anniversary getaway for the last 6 plus years. We love it! Always quiet and the staff is awesome.
- Nicolas (8/5): Honestly, a good place to stay. - Was a very nice location, got there and was welcomed by the staff very well- even with them switching due to their shift patterns, each one felt like they were there for you first. All were extremely welcoming throughout the stay and kept a high standard of customer service. I added my Girlfriend on the day as I was going there to stay with her and there were no quarrels, simply signing a piece of paper extra with her name! No charges thanks to the room being able to house two already.
We even had a jacuzzi in our room, which I forgot I'd booked! It was a nice little thing, fits two somewhat comfortably if you're both of around average height.
The area it's in is great for wanting to check out Syracuse, being a 10 minute walk for the main 'highway' such area with all the food places, and even allows door dash directly to the room.
- Cathleen (10/5): - Breakfast was great. Made to order eggs with choice of options. Pool was warm and relaxing. Room was clean and quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Never got to stay. Money lost. They would not move my reservation a half week for good cause.
- James (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at Brook Point and will be back. Beautiful grounds, a great breakfast with eggs/omelets made to order, nice pool and a homey feel at a great price.
- Alan (8/5): - Electric hook up for your boat.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Not happy at all!
- Marilyn (9/5): nothing objectionable - close to family event
- Lynna (5/5): Passable -
- Devra (10/5): - They don't have an elevator, so be prepared for lots of stair climbs
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Lack of elevator
- Daryl (10/5): - The room was perfectly clean , smelled great and very quiet!! The entire place was wonderful and nice !! A definite yes place to go too!!
- Scott (10/5): - This is a very fine place to stay! Clean quiet friendly. The grounds are beautiful . They even have a nice breakfast with very good coffee.
- Kimberly (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (10/5): - Beautiful grounds, clean rooms and great staff. Will definitely be back.
- Jay (10/5): - The service provided by the staff members was first class.
I was impressed that the property had recycling containers in each room.
