• A9893PCshelbyc (6/5): Nice staff, great location. Minor negatives. - Location was perfect and staff were so kind and helpful. Some minor negatives I’m only listing for those this might matter to….not a big enough deal to complain. 1) coffee bar available 24/7 which was nice but coffee was cold and hot water was out. 2) pool was nice, not too cold which was awesome. However, Hot tub was colder than the pool, so only stepped in for a second. No pool towels first night but staff was kind to replace when asked. 3) Breakfast was good but not something IMO that should be $12 bc it was nothing out of the ordinary continental breakfast at other places that’s free. Wouldn’t purchase in advance if staying again. 4) We clearly listed 2 adults, one toddler but were only supplied 2 towels both nights so we had to go down and get more. Again, nothing too crazy to complain about at the time. Amount paid, close to $200/night after breakfast and taxes included. Wasn’t worth it IMO but it wasn’t a horrible experience so I rated it a 3/5.
• Carla (5/5): Unfortunately, Not the best stay - That they had indoor pool, and hot tub plus a gym. The bartender was friendly gave us insight on things to do in Roswell. Walls were thin, you can hear above and side by side. Also the TV kept showing a plug in every 10 mins it would pop up on screen then go away. The water in shower would get warm but not hot. The room is smaller than expect from the photo they show you. Beds were also spring mattress and felt worn out.

• 7Heather (6/5): Just ok - It’s a no smoking hotel but as soon as you stepped off the elevator you could smell someone smoking weed. I had kids with us and was really disappointed. The beds were stiff and the ac took a while to finally cool the room off. Bathroom was nice size. Staff was nice. Breakfast was ok. Server was nice. They only have dove bath/soap products for those allergic. In my opinion overpriced for value of the hotel.
• S1173BXalanl (8/5): Slippery tub. - Everything was fine except for the shower. This location has hard water which makes the tub VERY slick. I almost fell twice. There is no texture on the floor of the tub and no mat to assist from slipping. Management should address this before someone slips and sues.

• Dreamer27794162328 (10/5): Great Business Trip Stay-Quiet and Comfortable - This was an excellent hotel. It is clean, quiet, and accommodating. I stayed a week for business. I ate breakfast which was well done. Fresh fruit, proteins, yogurts, hot oatmeal bar. The bar at night is lovely. Nancy at the bar is very personable and you can also order dinner. The fitness room is not bad. Treadmills, free weights, cables, and balls. The WiFi is fast and reliable. I would stay here and recommend it to others.

• Angela (3/5): - It was easy to get too I was really disappointed with my stay at the Holiday Inn in Roswell, NM. The bed was uncomfortably hard, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The shower floor was extremely slick — likely from the water softener — and honestly felt unsafe. The towels were rough and definitely not the soft quality you’d expect from a hotel in this price range. On top of that, the pool was closed for maintenance, which was never mentioned at check-in. That was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, so it was frustrating to find out after checking in. Even small things were off — when I asked the bar staff where the restroom was, they didn’t even know. Overall, the experience felt poorly managed and far below what I expected from a Holiday Inn.

Anything warm was cold, unable to eat it since there are no microwave ovens. Thats it, cereal and fruit for an extra 20 bucks. Gee thanks. Cold food, hardly any food, poor selection of food.

• Denise (8/5): - Got to change rooms after incident, the kitchen ladies were amazing and had a great attitude. Our A/C system started smoking causing the second floor to smell like smoke. There was no sense of urgency and had to advise the concierge to send a maintenance person to see why and prevent any fires.

• Lisa (4/5): - Check in was a disaster. We were made up wait til 3 for our room even though it was available earlier. At 255 a bus showed up filling the lobby with people trying to check in. Wec were told we had to wait because we weren't members. When we Informed them we were they said we still had to wait. I believe we were treated differently because we didn't book directly with them. The towels were cheap and scratchy. My sister-in-laws room smelled of mildew. They're at other good choices in town and we'll be taking our business elsewhere after this trip.

BUT…if you are traveling on a Sunday and want to catch the NFL Sunday Night game…they do NOT have NBC available at this property. I was told to go to a bar to catch the game after being on the road for an 8 hour day. NBC….really???

• 383AmandaC (2/5): Can’t nail the basics - I travel a lot. In the last week I’ve stayed at a Marriott, a Fairfield, and this Holiday Inn. The issue with this hotel is they can’t execute the basics. Getting guests to their rooms is table stakes. Only 1 of 2 elevators were working. I wouldn’t mind taking the stairs, but the door to the stairs was broken. Another basic feature of a hotel is getting someone into their room, but the room keys don’t work. I had 20 keys made with 50/50 success rate. This wasn’t isolated to my room, as fellow guests also had the same issue. A major inconvenience to go back and forth to the front desk, especially when you only have access to one elevator! The “workout room” had no water, no towels, no mats, and very limited free weights. If you go to Roswell, this should be your last resort. The staff is very nice though.

• Henry (8/5): - The check-in process was smooth enough to which we had two pets with us as well. The room itself was very good in cleanliness and order. The only issue that we had was with the “Smart TV” or Hotel Entertainment System. The TV would play without prompt. Sound would come from the TV when it had not been started. To avoid these constant interruptions, we simply unplugged the TV when not in use. Outside of this, the stay was very pleasant stay.

• joanneb610 (6/5): Don't let the restaurant on premise fool you. - As in hydrogen number, the chicken was lacking. The room itself was okay. Our biggest complaint was the restaurant experience. Happy hour does not include wine and then to order our food. I had to yell up from our table across the bar because she did not come to our table to take her order. The food took about 40 minutes to get to our table and we were the first order of the night. The food was totally overcooked and dry. She charged us by $10 over for each bottle of wine and did not compare food like she said she would. We were not waited on at all. I had to continue to get up from my table and walk over to her for refills. And breakfast is not part of your initial cost.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Average stay - Good hotel for a quick overnight with the family. Not all things didn’t worked, but for a 1 night stay; it served its purpose.

• Stephanie (2/5): - Upon arrival, we were told the elevator was inoperable and would probably be so for the weekend. Not the worst, but inconvenient. The room looked awful, with torn curtains, poorly patched holes in the walls, and a door that looked like it had been kicked in but repaired. There was a car air freshener jammed in the a/c unit. The room was clean, however. When we walked down to the pool, we were also told the spa was out of service as well. Staying here has made me reconsider staying in other Holiday Inns in the future.

• Elizabeth (2/5): I would be embarrassed to be management/owner of this property. - The breakfast was not free and did not go. The hot tub, the ac in the lobby, the women’s restroom and the elevator was out of order.

• Tejano (1/5): Not what I expected 😞 - The elevator were not working and for all the stuff we have that will not work for us and to top it off we were on the 3rd floor I have a bad heart and was not about to walk 3 flights of stares plus had to put a super high deposit for each room not was not expecting that did not stay I cancelled when I got to hotel it was also hot in lobby like AC was out
• Lyn (1/5): Bad - Only good thing was the front desk guy Elevator wasn’t working, had to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to our room. Room smelled so bad of pet urine. Was suppose to have a free breakfast, but when we went down I was told I would have to pay $12 per person
• Billy (8/5): Okay Overnight Stay - Before we checked in, we were told the elevator was not working. We were on the second floor, however, we didn’t mind carrying our one suitcase to the room. Our stay was above average for the night, biggest complaint was the bed was not comfortable, nor were the pillows. The ice machine did not work and had to go to the third floor to get ice. Convenient parking and convenient eateries.
• Patricio (10/5): UFO Festival Trip - The staff was friendly, attentive and went above and beyond. They allowed me early check-in. The elevators were not working on the property. They provided a free breakfast for the inconvenience. Surrounding area was quiet. Not a lot of noise. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room and bathroom were clean.
• Christina (1/5): What a waste of money and time - We came to Roswell New Mexico for my mom's Funeral. I had back surgery and the elevator was broken at the motel. So, I had to climb 2 flights of stairs 🤦 The ice machine wasn't working. My room was dirty and smelled like smoke. I was overcharged on my credit card. It was a horrible experience. I would never ever stay there again. Employees were very Rude. I did Not like anything at all at this Hotel. 😞 My room was on the 2nd floor and the elevator was not working and I just had surgery on my back and it was very hard for Me to climb the stairs. 😭 I am in town for my mom's funeral. The ice machine was broken. The room smelled like Smoke. The bed sheets looked dirty and smelled bad. I asked for a discount for the stay especially since the elevator was broken and I was not given one. I did not enjoy my stay there at all. I would not stay there again.
• Wheeler (4/5): Disappointing - The rate of the room was tripled because of the UFO Festival. We were told after we checked in the elevator was out of order and we would be on the top floor. Our key cards never worked, we had to go back down four flights of stairs and get our key rescanned every time we wanted to get in our room, or the stairwell, or anywhere...... The poor employees were running around like crazy because no one's key cards were working.
• Juan (10/5): Great! Comfy, clean, affordable! - The staff was amazing! Very epic people. Attentive, professional, informative and very courteous! Hotel was clean, professional, great landscaping and parking. they got a pool to beat the Roswell heat! Fully functional and near completely equipped fitness area, not sure what else one could need but they come close to having it. Food and fun all near by. Did Mention the amazing staff! Easiest hotel stay I've ever had. missing and damaged surfaces, some water damage in stair wells, pool area,ECT. scum and rust build up in pool area tiling, metal surfacing and mechanical joints. But still functional! I'm fat so functional elevators would have been a godsend! but the signs made it clear upgrades and repairs were well underway. So it's all good. TNH Nothing that would ruin a trip honestly. I point that out simply to outline a factual visual of the few and miniscule misses in this otherwise picture perfect stay. The distance from the downtown activities is fair nearly walking distance Food and businesses are plentiful and close! All stars for a decent price!
