- Jamie (6/5): - Very great location although a bit off the beaten track in terms of main road. Staff were up to standard and housekeeping were very efficient and timely. Close proximity to nearby coffee shops and 7/11, very useful. Didn’t use the gym but pool was clean and almost always empty. My main complaint is that on checkout they were very hesitant to return the 1000B deposit and ended up keeping 100B for a damp towel left in the room which I apparently needed to pay for laundry for. They tried to pick anything off at the end of the stay to keep the deposit and this actually ruined the overall stay for me, this hotel was otherwise pretty good.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - Otroligt hårda sängar. Hade troligtvis varit bättre att sova på golvet. Rummen skulle vara nyrenoverade men detta kändes enbart som en budgetrenovering. Något som var positivt var att rummen var stora. Skulle någon få för sig att använda köket är detta förbjudet då man inte får laga mat i rummet. Läget är inte superbra för att ta sig runt i Bangkok. Däremot fanns det en shuttlebus som tog oss till närmsta galleria och tunnelbanestation. Det skulle finnas både frukost och shuttle till flygplatsen tillgängligt, detta var dock något som inte stämmer.

So you really get to see how people live and it’s great to be in the area. Rooms are much larger that most hotels and short-term rentals for the same price.

- Robert (8/5): - For the Price, it was just OK. The staff was very kind and helpful and I was really grateful for the free shuttle service. It was also very convenient to have a 7-11 next door. The downside for me was the bed was so hard and uncomfortable, I ended up sleeping on the sofa during my 4 night stay. I also didn't require maid service during my stay which seemed to annoy the staff (a somewhat nasty note was slipped under my door saying this was not exceptable and they needed access to the room - whatever) Different country, different rules. Overall, the price was very affordable, so a decent budget choice.

- Dogan David (2/5): Fight for a clean towel.! - Bad experience. I had to fight to get a simple fresh shower towel. They don’t care about anything. Bathroom was old like from 70s. The bed was like a piece of rock. I reserved the studio the size was large enough. I’d rather stay somewhere else.

- JOSEPH (4/5): The kitchen is a lie. It is unusable. - I was hear for medical and wanted a place for a month. I rented the suite to have a complete apartment, but the kitchen doesn't work. the stove is blocked off, no microwave, do dishes, nothing, just an empty kitchen. The hotel doesn't make it clear that the kitchen is not usable. There is no reason to get a suite, just get a standard room if you are thinking of staying here.

- Megan (10/5): Good stay :) - The stay was comfortable. The room was spacious, had a balcony, bathroom with a bath. Bed was hard but thats like most bed in south east aisa :) The gym was okay for a hotel gym. It had an old cable machine that you see in a retro bodybuilders gym. Plently of weights and a treadmil but only one seemed to be working. There is also a pool and tennis tables in there. The pool is regularly cleaned and the even show the chlorine and PH levels on the wall. Pool is warm plenty of sun bed. Great view. Next door to the entrance was a 711 which made getting a coffee early hours of the morning for a flight was perfect. Its only 7 minute crab ride to the airport link. If you come out of tbe hotel and turn right wall up the main road you come to a T juncioon there are loads of food options around there. And if you turn left you can head to jon fairs night market. Its about 21 minute walk. All in all a good night stay for us.

- Alma (10/5): - BU place was clean, the staff was attentive, and the near but shops were perfect. This hotel was on top of a coffee shop and a 7/11. Which was way more convenient than I thought it would be. This is a bit out of the way for Bangkok. But the shuttle drops you off at the train station, which is also a shopping center. Like other reviewers mentioned, it can be hard to get a grab to pick you up. However, the front desk staff are able to get a taxi there in less than 15 minutes. The pool is super clean. There is also a very nice Finnish Sauna. The mattress is firm, but that seems to be a Southeast Asian standard. I would stay here again or longer for sure!

- Elizabeth (10/5): - The suite was clean and spacious. The staff was very accommodating and polite. They allowed us to leave our luggage early and pick it up after we explored the city some more-which was super helpful.
- Jade (10/5): - I had an excellent first stay at BU Place and will definitely stay again (I visit Bangkok regularly). The room was quite modest, but they were super clean (housekeeping did a great job every day) and had everything needed, including a fridge. The view from my room on the 17th floor was excellent, and the pool was well-maintained and a great retreat after a long day of walking and adventures. This hotel also has a pretty decent gym, the machines are older but all in English and in good working condition. This hotel is in a more local area of Bangkok, which means it isn't very touristic- but you can easily call a grab car or motorbike to take you wherever you need to go and the hotel also offers a shuttle bus to the nearest BTS station. If you walk out the front doors, turn right, and walk a short way down the street you will find a few massage shops on the opposite side of the street- the one with the reflexology foot diagram on the door was legit. Thank you for the awesome stay, I'll be back in May!

- Julie (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - The pictures online are so misleading so you will be super disappointed if you book this hotel. The building is deteriorating and the washroom is the most problematic one. I only stayed for two nights out of my 6 nights of booking. I tried to cancelled my reservation for at least 10 times but hotel didn’t accommodate. I hated it so much so I booked another hotel and stayed for the rest of the trip. So don’t go there. It is not worth your headache.

- Kanya (10/5): Rating is 9 of 10 - Pro - Room is large and spacious. It is clean. The bathroom is mostly clean, only need to scrub some grout areas on the bath tub wall. I didn’t use the swimming pool, but can see it from my room and it looks really clean. All the hotel staffs and security guards are friendly and helpful. WiFi is very strong for our 4 devices. The air conditioning works fine. The 7/11 store is right next door. The con is the location. It is deeper in the back alley. The hotel does provide shuttle van to and from Fortune Town, which is right beside Rama 9 MRT (subway) and across the street is Central Plaza (shopping center). The shuttle is from 8am to 6pm, once each way per hour. I hope management will extend the shuttle service to 9 pm. Overall it was a comfortable stay.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - this hotel is not really on the tourist trail. it offers very good value if you are an able traveller. older neighborhood with tiny streets and dense traffic, filled with local food and basic services. hotel minibus makes reliable daytime transport to shopping and metro, but can walk it n 15 mins once you know the way. can be difficult to find for taxis so make sure to have telephone number handy. everything in the hotel worked great for me. i recommend to anyone who wants good value and can deal with real bangkok!

If you are someone that does not mind a lower star hotel, this hotel is fine. No amenities except for a soap and shower cap. Staff are friendly, hotel is quiet.

Have to take uber/cab out of the way. Even so, some drivers get lost and cancelled our rides. Suitable for those who like a little bit of adventure and seeing street life. Room and toilet conditions are fine. Good beds and housekeeping.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cash deposit required at check-in - We booked this hotel because it was one that had three beds in the room. The room was clean and quiet. We were surprised that we were required to pay a cash deposit of 3100 Baht at check-in, even though the room was pre-paid on a credit card. Luckily we were able to pool some cash and had some left for dinner. When we checked out we had to wait for someone to inspect the room before we got our deposit back. Other than that, we stayed in a suite with two bedrooms and bathrooms.
