Guest Reviews
- Steve (9/5): - Breakfast was terrific. Lots of Asian and Western options. Staff went out of their way. Very welcoming.
- stephane (8/5): sejour agreable - hotel un peu vieillissant
- Lauren Lyn (10/5): Wonderful hotel for families with excellent breakfast and spacious rooms. - The breakfast was excellent and always replenished. The variety was also really good and the dishes changed each day, while still keeping the 'standard' breakfast foods. The staff in the breakfast room were always present and helpful. The location of the hotel itself is just outside the really busy area, which we enjoyed, so even though we stayed over new years, we could still have a good sleep and not disturbed by the celebrations. This was important as we travelled with our young son. We had a triple room which was very spacious and we enjoyed the complimentary mini bar which included water, soft drinks and local beer. The hotel further provided a complimentary beer per adult each day that could be redeemed at the bar. The rooftop pool is not big, but it's fine to cool down and for kids to enjoy, which is a bonus. The shower is over the bath, which isn't our favourite, but that's a personal preference and definitely wouldn't deter us from coming back. There aren't any umbrellas at the pool area, so you could get stuck with a lounger in the sun, again this is minor issue.
- TAKAO (8/5): 良いホテルです。 - 朝食はバラエティ豊かで良かったです。 部屋のトイレの水の流れが悪かったのですが、メンテナンススタッフの方が改善してくれました。
- patrick (8/5): Staff at the breakfast buffet and the front door were all very polite friendly and helpful - Good location…close to Japan town
- LEE (10/5): -
- YOSHIOKA (7/5): -
- michael (10/5): August stay - Breakfast super. Staff courteous...location very good. Nothing really to complain about
- MAMORU (1/5): -
- Khanh (10/5): - Be careful because they are strict on how many can stay in a room. I got charged for 1 additional person even though we had 2 beds but with 3 person.
- 923tammye (10/5): Great place to spend some time - This is a very nice hotel, just a couple of blocks from the Opera House (as the name suggests). It has one of the best breakfast buffets that we have encountered in many years of hard traveling. There is a small rooftop pool which gets some sun but has shade too. There is also a bar on the top floor. The bar has nice views but is enclosed. The weather was beautiful when we there there so we sought out some other places where we could sit outside. However it might be a nice oasis if the weather was not so good. Staff was very attentive to all of our needs. It was a great stay.
- John (10/5): Wonderful hotel - Lovely hotel with great service, bed comfortable pillows amazing. Small negative was shower did not hold a constant temperature, but everything else amazing. If you walk up street and turn right there were multiple food and drink options including 2 craft beer places which was great to see. One last thing the breakfast was amazing and if you’re like me and want to eat local food, they had a chef that made Pho fresh for you.
- 豊美 (6/5): Blade Runner! - It’s so nice to see Saigon river and neons from the window. Water was leaking in the bathroom.
- 212ericb (8/5): Convenient hotel in centre of HCMC - Booked by our travel agent. Great location. However, nothing charming about the place. Room and bathroom ok though I would have expected better for a junior suite. Pool not used but real clean and attractive. Very diverse and complete breakfast.
- Claudine (7/5): Great location and friendly staff - Great central location, very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is a bit old fashion
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Tsuyoshi (6/5): - Good location with nice staff.
- Thuy (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Strongly recommend.
- Kwang Hyun (10/5): - .
- Trinh (9/5): Superb -
- 385viviane (4/5): Surprised to see the hotel staff allowed guests to smoke in the lobby - Stayed on 18 May, right now I am sitting in the lobby, 3 people are smoking indoor next to me. Asked the hotel staff to inform guests who are smoking, was told these guests are VIP and friends to the owner. So hotel staff can't do anything unfortunately.
(other than this horrible experience, the staff were very nice and the room is cozy)
- Pamela (10/5): Fantastic hotel and staff! - Our stay was amazing! The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel has an on site restaurant on the main floor and a delicious breakfast buffet on its own floor, and a bar on the top floor with amazing views of the city. Room was very clean and quiet. We stayed here twice during our visit to Vietnam and both stays equally good! 5 stars all the way.
- Pamela (10/5): Excellent facility - This is an amazing hotel with excellent service.
- Kim (10/5): - People are sooooo nice. Especially Ngan, Qui and all front door people.
- David (10/5): Great hotel - Friendly staff, clean comfortable hotel and nice and cool inside from the heat
- 302hammersj (2/5): Terrible hotel and unprofessional. - The room very ugly, housekeeping clean room very sketchy, they even forgot a dirty tower inside my bathroom after finished cleaning. Smoking everywhere, can't stand it unbelievable. I booked a taxi first then the security staff gave it to another customer.
- Emmapell63 (10/5): Lovely hotel in a great location - Lovely hotel in a great location close to all the main sites and surrounded by some lovely restaurants. The rooms are clean and a good size and the hotel provided lots of free water. Each day the reception provide a voucher for a free beer in the bar which has great views across HCMC but try the cocktails as well.

- John (10/5): - All the staff provide excellent services
- karl (10/5): The Best Hotel In Vietnam - Will Vo Duc Quy with Guest Relation was the Best . Always helpful and Jonney on the spot. He was Outstanding and also the very nice young ladies work the front desk. The Best Hotel in Vietnam.
- Eiichiro (7/5): Good - Air condition turned off during the night automatically and had to turn on again to keep it at comfortable temperature
- louisem399 (8/5): Great hotel for a stay in HCMC - Highly recommend this hotel - great location, and lovely staff. My partner used it as a base for himself and his adult son for a week, and I stayed for two nights either side of a trip to the UK.
The rooms are well-furnished and clean, and we loved the roof top pool and bar. The gym was also well-equipped for a hotel.
If you're there on Sunday, the complimentary afternoon is well worth it.
- Hernan (10/5): - The hotel and staff is amazing.
- Shogo (8/5): - good
- AmyLMcCauley (8/5): Good value for business travel - Clean and very comfortable. The air conditioning is welcome as well as all the staff who do their best to accommodate. Central location and easy to walk anywhere. Many good restaurants located nearby.
- Martin (10/5): - We thought the hotel was in a great location 10 min walk to the palace and street food market. The street food was good value and made to order. Good powerful shower in room and comfy bed and quiet. Typical hotel hairdryer. Breakfast was excellent and a wide range.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kanji (9/5): Superb - The location is great.
- WOLFGANG (4/5): - Great location and good breakfast. Staff and management were dour, unsmiling, unfriendly to the point of seeming "snooty" and seem unhappy with their place of work.
- David (10/5): I’ve stayed here several times on business travel over the past year and will be coming again. For me, there is no reaso - Location, comfortable room and bed, helpful and friendly staff. Nothing
- Mai (10/5): - Services are great , staff are very friendly , helpful , and professional, the buffet is excellent you have to try the beef pho exceptionally good.
- Abby (7/5): Good -

- Joseph (10/5): - The hotel located in the heart of Saigon, very convenient to walk to everywhere!
Hotel staff are very nice and courteous.
- Masamichi (10/5): - Good location
- David (9/5): Great, no complaints - Location, comfortable beds, nice decor Nothing
- Mun Fai Adrian (8/5): - This hotel has a very convenient location, easy to walk around to restaurants and shopping. Room is clean and spacious. Bath room has ample hot water.
Only downside is not all rooms have windows.
Price is however very affordable. This is my second time staying here and I would choose to stay here again next time.
- Kwang Soo (8/5): Bath and Window - I had a hard time when I take a shower because water runs down very slowly.
Please take care of this matter so that I can visit your hotel again.
And I hope window in room can be opened so that visitors can get fresh air during stay room.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Magooblue (7/5): No window room, not worth more than one night - Location, staff & breakfast were great. Staff made every effort to welcome & provide assistance when requested. Location is excellent for access to district one historical sites & attractions. Food offerings for breakfast was good. A selection of Asian & Western styles available. Room without a window, not for me. Felt like an isolation room. I’m sure the bigger rooms are better. Hot water system felt like it was not consistent. Warm, hot, cool, hot again. Air-conditioner seem to me needed cleaning. Stale air came through into the room.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Excellent stay! Rooms were nice and comfortable. Great - Excellent location! Close to all the popular sights of District 1. Pool was nice and clean too. Nothing.
- Clement (9/5): Every piece of Vietnam is so fantastic except weather in May. - The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were friendly, making for a pleasant stay. The room I stayed in was also more spacious than those of other hotels. Moreover, the abundance of good restaurants nearby made it incredibly convenient. Additionally, the breakfast at this hotel was superb, surpassing that of any other hotel. There is nothing to mention. Everything about hotel was so good.
- Stephen (10/5): - Great location, very accessible everywhere by walking or grab. Will definitely visit again
- Daniel (8/5): good hotel. great service from Wuy - comfortable room, friendly staff, reasonable gym, reasonable breakfast. special shout-out to Quy - exceptional service from him shower poorly designed making it near impossible to have a shower without flooding room. gym ok but poorly designed. why would you choose a decline bench press. hardly anyone would use this. swap it for flat bench.
- Gan-Erdene (8/5): - Great
- Fritjof (9/5): Superb -
- Hamiza (10/5): - An excellent hotel in the middle of District 1. It is walking distance to big shopping place, weekend walk party (can’t remember what does it called), many coffee place etc. The front desk personals are very professional in assisting us in engaging with travel agency (Kim Travel) full day tour (Chu Chi Tunnel & Mekong River), Half day City tour & Mekong river cruise. An applaud ro Ms Hannie (front counter personal) that helpful in assisting us.. Will definitely stay again.
- Stephen (10/5): - Breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choice. All members of staff are helpful, attentive and friendly. Excellent location
- Justin (9/5): Had a great experience. I'd stay here again. - Breakfast here is amazing and the staff are exceptional.
- Wee Keong (8/5): - Friendly staff
- Liew (7/5): Good -
- Thi (8/5): Tuong doi - Good Wash room
- Kok (5/5): for those who just want to sleep at night and easy to everywhere, this hotel can be consider... - strategic location... this hotel is too localised standard !!! how can it be convenient for the foreign guest?
Eg: switch on TV but written in Vietnamese? and all TV channels are Vietnamese program (99% speaking vietnamese)
how can the guest enjoy ? Is hotel expect guests can read and adjust the TV channel themselves?
- Kate (10/5): - Comfiest bed I've slept in all year! Great hotel, reliable WiFi, generous and delicious breakfast, excellent staff. Location is very convenient, rooms are lovely and quiet. All in all, a fabulous hotel at a very fair price.
- Fernando (2/5): - It’s too expensive for such an old hotel
- Robert (10/5): Great stay - Had a great stay here. Staff were friendly, breakfast was excellent, the location was great (easy walking distance from district 1 attractions but could not hear any traffic noise) and the gym has enough to do a decent workout (including an Olympic bar and a few free weights). I would definitely stay here again.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Luigi (10/5): - Very good location in D1 and excellent value overall. Very good breakfast buffet as well
- Maha (10/5): Exceptional -
- A (10/5): Nhat Ha L' Opera, feels like home for sure - Excellent hotel with fantastic staff in a great location for District 1.So much to see and do nearby. Hotel is very clean and quiet with excellent facilities. Very highly recommended
- John Ki Ho (10/5): Best hotel - One of the most comfortable hotels I've been to
It wasn't far from the food street, the bathroom was great, and the bedding was great too.
- Cheyen (7/5): Good -
- Huy (8/5): Good stay in Saigon - Good breakfast
Thankful someone left their Netflix logged in
Nice rooftop swimming pool Service is a bit slow
Need to replace the bench for a squat rack in the gym
- Bobkins82 (8/5): Great breakfast - mid service - The gym is fairly well equipped relative to other Vietnam hotel gyms and feels modern
The pool is quite small about 1.2m deep throughout. The pool area feels quite slick but is again quite small - there aren’t many sun beds if you want to lounge and these are placed in the pool where the water is ankle high.
The breakfast is very good. A great spread and a lot of the items are high quality. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The noodle bar was also quite tasty. The dessert section is a little small but the desserts are very good too. The only issue is that even though a lot of the food is good quality, there were a lot of items that became cold making them inedible - like their wedges.
The service is ok at best - maybe below average but that is because hotel service in Vietnam is generally very good - although there was one time when I was in a lift and a staff member told another staff member to take the stairs so I could get to my floor faster…
Overall good stay - great breakfast, good facilities
- attykzsaba (10/5): Your Best Option in Ho Chi Minh City - VERY RESPONSIVE
Our flight was scheduled to arrive at 1:40 AM, Vietnam Time. I sent a message to the hotel about the schedule, and they were responsive. I was even asked if I'd be needing some help. When we got to the hotel at around 2:30 AM, even if late, we were greeted and assisted cordially, as if we arrived during working hours.
LOCATION IS NEAR THE ATTRACTIONS
It is literally a walking distance from all the tourist attractions in District 1! There are also a lot of convenience stores nearby for your late night needs.
ROOM IS WORTH THE MONEY
I booked a room for three, and it was more than I expected. The beds were spacious enough. The queen size could even fit three persons, and the single could fit two. There is a tub with a window with a view of the street (with roll down curtains, of course), giving you that Italy Vibe. Both the room and the bathroom are spacious.
STAFF IS VERY ACCOMMODATING AND FRIENDLY
ROOM CLEANER IS VERY THOROUGH
The staff of the hotel is very friendly-reception, dining, and housekeeping. They will really provide you with your needs. Here in the Philippines, that kind of service will only be given to you in a hotel worth three times the cost of your stay in Nhat Ha L Opera.
As to the housekeeping, they are really thorough in cleaning. Our room was very clean after we asked for a make-up. Supplies are also abundant.
FREE BREAKFAST IS SUPERB
The breakfast buffet will serve you with all kinds of food- Vietnamese, European, American, etc. They have different stations for each. Imagine having a "GLOBAL BREAKFAST". Moreover, the food tastes really great! Their Pho is as good as that from a specialty shop. I sort of pigged out and forgot about my diet for the duration of my stay because the food was really good.
OVERALL
Overall, this is highly recommended. I will definitely book here again when I come back.
Thank you!
- Carlos (6/5): Pleasant - location and staff the “large” double bed is VERY small. breakfast with poor western options.
- Jorge (8/5): - Amazing place , good location, they are doing a great job, the staff is amazing friendly and polite
- Alexandre (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing . The bathtub should have a glass door instead of curtain .

- Masa-hero (10/5): Exceptional -
- Long (9/5): Superb -
- Lai (7/5): Good -
- Shane (7/5): Great, but.. - Great location and staff are always good. The buffet breakfast had a really good selection of food which was beautifully prepared. I loved that they had succulent pork ribs one of the mornings, which was a bit different. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it also looked amazing and a really nice area to relax. Right front the start, one of our welcome drinks had a huge dirty hair hanging out of the glass. This overshadowed and set the tone for my entire stay. No apology, only a quick swap of the drink. A lot of damaged things around the building and in the room. I put it down to the usual Vietnamese rough attention to detail.
- Kathleen (9/5): Superb - Very clean spacious bedroom, beautiful breakfast buffet, staff very helpful & friendly (we checked out at 12 but had late flight & we were allowed use their Sauna Room downstairs to shower & change)...location great, lovely rooftop pool Mattress on single bed in room was not comfortable...double mattress was perfect
- Wee Keong (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Sannat (10/5): May consider visiting again. - Rooms were very spacious and clean. The housekeeping did a great job. Hotel’s location is prime and everything is at a walkable distance. Could’ve been a bit more tourist friendly. We could mostly see corporate & business guests. Gym could be improved bit still does the job.
