• Ole (9/5): - We had a great stay at peaceful cottage. The room was very spacious. Staff was friendly. I cannot confirm some of the reviews which indicate that they found charges on their bill they didn't incur. Our bill was correct. Breakfast caters mostly to local visitors and Indian guests. Few items for European guests.

• laura (10/5): - Great place! Lovely people, we were given an upgrade as the place was empty! Thank you for being so kind to us and to our friend who was autistic. The view from the top of the hotel was fantastic - a little seated area (rustic) which we enjoyed! Rooms were fantastic and had heating - brilliant! The reason we came was the view, which was obscured that day due to clouds. But the view has been built on top of with a glass area, Which changes the outlook of the stone wall and view. It's just a bit different - so watch out - pictures will not be the same!

The staff were very kind, friendly, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The food at the restaurant was delicious and freshly prepared. I really felt relaxed and happy throughout my stay. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nagarkot for a peaceful and beautiful experience. Thank you to the whole team for the great hospitality! 🙏✨

• Penny (6/5): - Some staff were very nice and helpful. The room (not including bathroom) was very nice and a comfy bed and some nice views from the balcony. Good breakfast spread. Lack of hot water and water pressure. Advised there were many guests and hot water will run out. If hot water is a problem, expanding the hotel - which is well under way- will only make this issue worse.

Nous avons payé un extra afin d'avoir une chambre avec balcon et vue sur les montagnes, cependant, noous n'avions aucune vue depuis le balcon. De plus, la chambre ne ressemblait pas aux photos. Notre balcon... donnait sur un toit en béton et la chambre n'était pas propre, poussièreuse et avec des cheveux sur les lits. Ayant fait le tour de l'hôtel, je peine à voir d'où les photos publiées sur Booking ont été prises... Malgré une réponse positive via l'application Booking pour un early check-in, personne ne nous attendait à la réception. Il aura fallu une bonne heure pour qu'enfin quelqu'un s'intéresse à nous et finisse par nous accueillir. Il me semble qu'une simple réponse négative lors de la demande aurait suffit à nous éviter de perdre 1h. En outre, l'hôtel est en construction. De ce fait, notre chambre donne sur un couloir glauque et sale, une sorte d'entrepôt... Vu le prix affiché par Booking pour cet hôtel, nous considérons avoir été trompées par l'application Booking. Le prix ne correspnd pas aux prestations reçues!! Cet établissement a été le plus cher du voyage et est clairement hors de prix pour la région, ce qui ne serait en soit pas un problème s'ils correspondaient aux photos et aux promesses faites par booking.
• Weekday (9/5): - Had such a wonderful time staying at Peaceful Cottage with my co-workers! The place really lives up to its name — calm, cozy, and surrounded by beautiful views. It was the perfect spot to relax after a busy week and spend some quality time together. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were super kind and helpful. We especially enjoyed sitting outside in the evening, chatting and laughing while taking in the peaceful atmosphere. Definitely recommend this place for both work trips and little getaways with friends or colleagues!

• Prabhat (1/5): Waste of time plus the feeling of irritation why I had gone there. - Nothing- The photos shown is misleading The access to the property by care is difficult. The property is in bad shape and the concrete are falling. The property not painted for years and the bathroom is terrible with foul smell. the food is terrible rather we skipped the dinner. The property should not be in your list at all.

The bed was the best bed I've slept in in Nepal! Lovely breakfast with calming music and friendly staff. Beautiful sunrise views from top of hotel! Worth the 6am alarm to see the stunning mountain range in clear weather Sadly the view has changed over the last 3 years due to construction of a new building next-door. The concrete construction and exposed re-bar columns spoil the atmosphere when you want to relax outside. If you don't plan to relax in outdoor areas then it is fine :)

The room was heated by the AC but it was certainly not strong enough for the size of the room. We were there in January and felt very cold during our stay. Fortunately, it was only for one night. The room itself was a little moldy (plainly visible on the doors and on a bed piece as well). The worst was the bathroom which was really cold and completely moldy. The water started to be hot after more than 15 minutes of continuous pouring. We would not choose this accommodation again.

Just make sure you order your food seperately rather than use group buffet food; I had bad experience doing that;

I enjoyed breakfast with great view. I stayed old building lower room. The old room was old, but clean. If you like modern room, you should choose new building room. But old room was unique, more likely to cottage. I could see part of mountain from window. I will choose old room again, if I come here again. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Always smiled to me, I felt relax. Air conditioner was not good enough. It takes hours to warm room.

• Maey (7/5): It was good but could be great - Location were great for what to expect at nagarkot. The shower was strong and felt clean after the shower. We cut our trip short as the weather was not the best, cloudy/foggy and some days it rains which disrupts our plan. The hotel is still under construction so if you have a large heavy bag, you’ve got to lug them up yourselves as the staffs were slightly apprehensive. Most of the new rooms are not fully furnished/ bared but still given the option for us to occupy and we still opted for the newer ones anyway even it was not fully decorated/furnished as the older ones needed a good refurb. For the price it cost, I would say it’s not worth it, I would rather spend the extra quid for the nearby hotel which had better services. It was a peaceful stay in a way. I hope after all construction work is done, it will look amazing.

• Wentworth (4/5): Disappointing - Beautiful old grand building with interesting carving Moldy bathroom with cracked granite, room smelt damp, no coffee machine but advertised having coffee house , not peaceful due to current building going on at property, jack hammers, angle grinders, I'm sure when building finished will be very beautiful! , no hot water in hotel room but available in alternative room for bathing, no TV, oops but I didn't read add properly and it was not advertised, seemed quite expensive... paying 75 AUD night seemed excessive when we had way nicer rooms and facilities in Kathmandu for $30 a night. The staff tried to be helpful despite their obvious adversity, food was great
• Niloy (9/5): Definitely going back for the next visit - The location was fantastic. The views from our room were awe-inspiring. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Excellent value for money. The road to the cottage is being worked on, so we had to hike for 20 minutes to get there from the bus stop. Shouldn't be an issue if visitors have booked cars as they go directly up to the cottage. As we visited in Feb, the water was freezing cold and the geyser struggled to get the water to room temperature.
• Miller (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were excellent, especially Diwana who went out of his way to help. On a clear day the view is breathtaking, I very much doubt there is better. Rooms clean, very good size, & again spectacular views. It certainly is no 5*. However you get the impression it once was. Bit of a " hotel Budapest" if you have ever seen the film. However for service, & a view that will take your breath away, it is well worth it. Could do with some new mattresses

The service was excellent and the staffs were very helpful. The barbeque space would have been better because for BBQ you uae machine only but insted there ahould be charcoal BBQ option as well
• Lin (4/5): Disappointing - Location. Possibility of panoramic view of the entire Lantang mountains. Hot water at 40oC is not hot. The tried to get more money out of us saying that we did not book the room we did. I had a very nasty exchange with the hotel and the booking customer service had to interveeing. I regret that I chose non-refundable reservation. At USD$45,00 a night in Nepal... it was not worth the money and we expected much much more. We chose a room with window with mountain view but I would not recommend this option.

The hotel is under construction and there are annoying noises. Not worth it.
