Guest Reviews
Region tres tres cher.
- Stephen (4/5): - Bed linen and towels were very old and need replacing.
Had to make the beds ourselves and were instructed to un make and fold all linen and towels when leaving.
Pillows were old saggy cushions.
Only 1 roll of toilet paper supplied for 4 days stay in an apartment that takes 5 people.
Told to buy our own toilet paper.
Not very convenient as approx 1k out of town.
All in all not comfortable and poor value for money.
- enric (10/5): - Todo bien......
- Stephanie (8/5): - It was a beautiful property - outside area felt like a park. Balcony was lovely.
- Cristina (10/5): - Very nice place to stay
- Catherine (10/5): Au vert...
- Jane P. (10/5): Good getaway - Very peaceful place
- Frédérique B. (8/5): Endroit calme et paisible - Joli endroit
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great place to start your Camino journey - Our stay was pleasant. Check in was polite and quick. Room was basic, but clean. Overall, this place was good value for money.
- William (2/5): Disappointed - This place was a huge disappointment as we were looking forward to the pool. Heater was broken and their was a crazy amount of booth outside our sliding glass to the grassy area. Lots of flys in the apartment probably because of the Pooh.
- Dante (10/5): Great little gem just a small walk away - Me and my dad were starting the Camino de Santiago at St. Jean Pied de Port. When we arrived we hadn't booked anything yet as we weren't entirely sure if we would start that very day. We checked around and it seemed almost everything was booked so we walked around a bit and found this gem a few hundred meters away from the main street. It was a very comfy small apartment unit with a balcony and great view of the Pyrenees. I would highly recommend this to any traveler. There was an issue with confirming my booking but they were very helpful and amiable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - TODO MUY BIENNNNNN.
UN SITIO PRECIOSO.
UNA CASA MUY BONITA.
- Karl-Heinz (8/5): - Sehr zentral, sehr nette Betreuung, großzügige Anlage.
alte Ausstattung
- Eduardo (8/5): para relax - Excelente ambiente
- Verified traveler (6/5): You get what you pay for - The place was clean but they didn't tell you that you had to make your own beds with linen left in the room. Beds were too short. I'm 6 feet tall and my feet were hitting the railing on all of the beds which made it uncomfortable to sleep and stretch out. People were nice and accommodating. Place was clean but they didn't tell us that the towels that were in the room were for the 3 days. So we had to reuse the towels which is not a big deal if you know it ahead of time but if you throw the towels on the ground not so good. I think that I would have been happier had I known everything ahead of time except for the short beds.
- dorn (2/5): Highway robbery - I got there late and no one was even there to let me in. Called repeatedly but the reception didn’t pick up. Never seen a hotel without a reception. The place looks nice but I feel like I was robbed. Highly recommend tourists check out other options in St Jean. There’s lots of choices.
- Alexander (8/5): Camino Santiago trail head. - Comfortable stay whilst visiting St Jean pied and the Camino Santiago. If we were not on a tight schedule would have loved to spend a few more days.
- jim (10/5): Convenient, clean hotel to get ready for the Camin - This is a very good, reasonably priced residence to spend the night in Saint Jean
- Yew Cheong (8/5): - Good n convenient. Toilet a little smelly.
- Claire (8/5): Value for money, good location, great pool area. - Great location for a week of relaxing by the pool, swimming and reading. Playground, great pool area, secure area, and other facilities also makes this a good place for families. Bike rental available, including trailers for kids. Free parking on site. Reception hours are limited, but if you know that beforehand then it doesn't matter at all. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Loved the library of books in reception - took some, left some. 3min walk to the beach, 10min walk into the town area where there are great cafés and restaurants. Lidl and Carrefour supermarkets are just a couple of minutes drive away. I didn't rate high on comfort because the bedroom was too hot to sleep in, and the mattress too hard - so we slept on the divans in the living room which worked ok (although, we did arrive on a 38 degree day). An upstairs place with a balcony would give more privacy than downstairs with a patio. All in all, good value for money.
- Donna (10/5): Great treat prior to starting the Camino! - Very accommodating and close to everything!
Beautiful grounds and super clean. Very friendly staff!
- Sally (6/5): Okay not a great value, clean. - Clean, pool closed early 7:00 pm, being my train arrived at 7, was not able to use
Had to make my own bed with sheets left out. No coffee for overnight stay in room or out. Pricey for what you got.
- Michael (10/5): Will stay again. - Well equipped, nice location. Easy parking.
- Roberto (8/5): Good place to rest - After spending almost 24 hours to get there, it was the perfect place to rest, the downside is there there are no actual beds in the room but 2 couches that function as such plus one bunk bed. The location is steps away from the town core and main road so it was perfectly quiet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Helpful and friendly staff - A comfortable room with most helpful staff.
- Aaron (8/5): Close To Town And Good Services - The hotel is OK and has nice gardens and grounds to walk around in. It's close to town and an easy walk from most services. The hotel staff are only available at limited times throughout the day so that was a negative. Overall it was an OK place to stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient and clean - Great hotel for the price!
- Ro (10/5): Great stay to kickoff our Camino - This is a low key, very clean, "homey" place. The staff was helpful to tell us how to get in since we were arriving so late in the night. It was an easy walk to restaurants and other places that we needed to get to. I would stay again.
- John (8/5): Close to Remparts. Great pool. Very quiet. - Need to have a detailed map with directions. No one in town could provide guidence & tourist off was closed.
- Dennis (8/5): - All was good
- Jim (8/5): Decent place to stay - Very nice facility. Only complaint is that the office is not open during the critical times of day.
- Lucia (10/5): Great place to start the Camino - Close to town. Nice rooms .
- Rob (10/5): Europe 2016 - 2 nights stop over for Camino walk. Great place to stAy. Close to town but with secluded garden surrounds and beautiful entrance. Everything you need as fully self contained .
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel with a little backyard - Enjoyed everything about the place didn't have much time just stayed one night
- Erica (10/5): Great - Great place...highly recommended...i wish i was able to stay more
- Jan (8/5): Sunshine in the Pyrenees! - A one night stay en-route as part of a touring holiday but having stayed there the once we would happily go back for longer to explore the area as well as chill out by the pool.......
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good rest before the Camino - Spent a couple days resting before the Camino. Very comfortable for one
- Alfred (8/5): On your own - Great hotel, with clean room, and within easy walking distance from old town centre. However, what was disconcerting was arriving and finding the reception office closed. There was a contact number on the board but having just arrived from outside Europe i did not have a phone with which to call. Lickily a passing guest knew the number to the outside safe and i was able to retrieve my key. Next day when i went mid-morning to obtain the access code for the Wifi they were again closed and remained closed throughout the day whenever i checked. Apart from this (which could be fixed if they put and outside one-way phone connected directly to their premises) i thought it was good value for money and a good place to stay.
- Michael (8/5): excellent family residence at bargain price - I was there for the walking, and this was pretty much ideal, situated on the edge of the busy pilgrimage village of St Jean Pied de Port. There is a pool, and the appartments all have patios. I had a big family flat, complete with kitchen, to myself! Visitors need to be aware that the reception only has limited hours, and one must ring if one is checking in late, so one can be given the code to collect the keys. The Residence does not serve breakfast, but each flat has its kitchen; or there are numerous cafes in the village a few minutes' walk away. There is also a Lidl very close by on the main road! Not to be sniffed at if you need basic supplies urgently! Pricing very competitive indeed, good value for a single like me, outstanding for a family of four.
