Guest Reviews
- Jenifer (9/5): - Easy to find easy to park
Felt very relaxed with the surrounding area
- Marianna (6/5): Di passaggio per le Cotswolds - La colazione: fantastica. Vale la pena fermarsi una notte solo per quella Camere e struttura datata, con moquette. Bagno minuscolo e l’acqua calda arrivava a fatica. Ma per una notte, va bene.
- Timothy (7/5): Was okay for what we wanted but not sure I would stay again. - The breakfast was amazing, well cooked, tasty and good quality provisions. The beds were a little lumpy with the springs beginning to poke through. The tv had no instructions on how to get ordinary tv and the bathroom needs updating.

- Christopher (3/5): London Inn - Location. The room/ensuite.
The room was small, which would have been OK, but . . .
Most of the fittings in the ensuite (a cupboard with a sliding door) we're damaged or missing. e.g. there was no handle on the inside of the door, no retaining hook, the vanity shelf was 'hanging off' the wall & even the lavatory was not securely fixed in place). In the room itself, there were various holes where, presumably, there had been light fittings, the radiator did not work & there was nofire exit notice.
This could have been acceptable if the room rate was low but, at £80/night was outrageous.
- Kay (9/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Fantastic value - Good sized room, comfortable beds, friendly staff, excellent bar food and breakfast, easy parking. Nothing
- jonathan (10/5): -
- Daniela (8/5): -
- MuB (9/5): - Bien situé.
Les petits déjeuners étaient bien et copieux.
Notre chambre etait au calme.
- Gordon (8/5): - breakfast quite ok, location was fine
- Paul (6/5): A couple of issues but still good value for money. - Lovely breakfast. Good shower. Comfy bed. Nice friendly host. I was cold and couldn’t get the radiator to work. No instructions for heating. No instructions for WiFi.

- Simon (8/5): -
- Charlotte (8/5): Prima kamer in een pub -

- Coral (8/5): Great location and food. - Great location on the main road, so easy to find.
Staff very friendly and food excellent.
Room and entrance/egress dated but clean. On road parking and unfortunately the garden was not open to us during our visit due to a private function.
Due to the age the floors in our room are not level and the way in from the road was next to the cellar so care was needed.
- Gail (4/5): It suited our needs and was fine for a couple of nights but it really needs a good clean and refresh. Great breakfast. - An ideal location for our needs.
Lovely breakfast with good choice, quality ingredients and well cooked.
Staff friendly and helpful The building was tired and I need of some TLC.
The rooms were very small and cramped and one of the single beds looked about to collapse. Bathroom old fashioned with scuffed bath with shower over. Furniture too big for room space.
Corridors looked shabby and carpets unclean.
- jorge (8/5): - Muy bien ubicado , buen desayuno, muy amables su personal, linda y cómoda la habitación Muy sucia la alfombra de la escalera
- Jessica (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Zelda and Dave (8/5): Adequate accommodation. Fabulous people - Quaint Grubby carpets, no where to hang towels, shelf in bathroom falling off. Noisy
- Hayes (7/5): Adequate bed for the night while visiting Cheltenham. - I only needed a bed for the night as I was attending a musical event Cheltenham to hear a visiting American musician I like (Bill Frisell) who seldom visits England, so it had to be Cheltenham that night. Location was fine, just the right distance out of town on a bus route in to town.
Room was adequate with a comfortable bed, towels, even a Gideons Bible (which I used) and the usual coffee making stuff (coffee bags, which is nicer that the usual Nescafe powder-appreciated). Bathroom was adequate apart from a wobbly toilet seat which needs a little attention.
Some nice local draught ales which I tried. 3 kinds of multi-flavoured 'cider' on tap (I saw no proper West Country cider or perries but to be fair I didn't ask.)
NIce atmosphere in the pub with locals and some visotirs with German accents. Helpful staff, although I was given incorrect information abut breakfast time on Sunday moninrg (I was told 8.30 but it was 08.00, mildly annoying as I had said I needed to make the earliest possible start.) £114 for one person is not cheap for a pretty ordinary suburban pub B&B, but I suppose Cheltenham is dear. and there was a jazz festival on with a lot of foreign visitors. Breakfast was OK but not outstanding. I wish people would use decent sausages, even Sainsbury's Taste the Difference range instead of the reclaimed pork products catering pack sausages one usually encounters would only cost 30p more and make all the difference. Cereal, yoghourt, fruit and nuts selection and coffee was very good.

- Joe (8/5): Perfect for a one night stay - The breakfast was excellent Bathroom maintenance
- Kevin (10/5): - A good old fashioned pub with basic rooms. Great beer, good food, fantastic staff. Would gladly stay there again and will do. Loved the place.
- Don (7/5): -
- Sarah (6/5): Nice pub let down by landlord - Old inn with character ; good facilities. Staff initially VG when we arrived in the evening Helped w cases and told us re doors to use w dogs. Garden super Morning staff (landlord?) got v cross re dogs and told me it was a dog free zone. I booked w dogs in good faith but he was still bad tempered
He made it obvious that we had to pay extra for dogs before breakfast was served. Its fine to pay for dogs but his bad temper made it unpleasant
- James (8/5): Great value- clean comfy room, lovely staff. Great base for exploring local area. - Easy to find, clean and comfy room, nice staff and plentiful parking around- no car park but this was not an issue.
Visit because of a nearby party and room was exactly what was needed. The breakfast didn’t blow me away and the accommodation is a bit tired but for the price I paid, I got brilliant value for money and these are very minor details.
- hawkins (8/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): - All of it Nothing
- Margaret (8/5): Very comfortable stay. Rooms great and food lovely. Enjoyed the pool table. -
- Matt (8/5): - Friendly staff. Reasonable prices menu. Tasty food. Pool table . Tasty breakfast. Tasty ales We were there on a Friday night and the rooms are above the games room of the pub. Loud pub revellers till 12.30am.
- Wendy (7/5): - Its character, quietness ie location..food was excellent good value/quality. A little dated in some areas, further away than advised from Cheltenham. Some areas not clean.
- Uween (8/5): -

- STUART (8/5): - Location. Breakfast was excellent. Very nice to have a full size bath, a luxury nowadays Remote bathroom and very squeaky floorboards en route
- Kerry (9/5): - Excellent location and great to be able to park the car and not worry about it until we left. Good value for money and great breakfast.
- David (7/5): The staff tried their best and we're polite and helpful but the room needs money chucked at it. - Able to eat at the premises Room very dusty, toilet seat hanging on with one hinge. Window handle broken
- Izabela (10/5): I’ll definitely be back again thank you for letting me have a late departure - All the stuff was really nice and the place is nice also The building is pretty old and a little bit far from the city centre
- steven (8/5): Good value for money and brilliant staff - Good location and great staff! Breakfast was very good too Very old and some things needs fixing and it is by a noisy road.
- Peter (9/5): - Excellent food Noisy toilet
- Matthew (10/5): - Nice location for anyone wanting to do the Costwolds without having to stay in one of the closer towns/villages. Bus stop right out front and direct to the Costwolds area (30-40min).
Staff were super nice and the English breakfast we got each day was great!
The room is a bit outdated but honestly didn't really have any issues with it.
We had a great stay!

- ChelseaMick59 (8/5): Great value all round - Good all around add cost of rom food and drinks overall excellent value Parking tok a liule timd to find a space
- Philippa (5/5): Could do with updating - The pub was in a good location, although there was no off street parking.
The staff were very friendly.
The beds were made up nicely. The rooms were up a back staircase, very cramped. The overall feel of the place was tired. I would not choose to stay there with my daughter again.
- Julian (7/5): -
- Philip (5/5): - Good Carpet on stairs was dirty
- Liam (9/5): -
- curetond (10/5): - I found something absolutely charming about this place. Firstly, it was very affordable for what was provided. This included a private bath, great shower, lots of teas and coffees with a kettle, and a brilliant full English breakfast in the morning, on the house. The staff were very friendly and helped me sort out my early check-in and additionally, provided space for parking. I also enjoyed very cheap beers on tap along with a quaint pub setting. An absolute banger of a place, and would stay again. Can't really think of anything at the moment.
- Mick (9/5): -
- Tom (3/5): cold. - location ok. Room had no heating in winter. We mentioned this as we were shown our room and they touched the radiator which was cold, they apologised but with no offer of trying to help the situation. It was really cold that night, very uncomfortable nights sleep.
- Enrico (10/5): - Colazione ottima e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. La camera è essenziale e le lenzuola molto pulite. Personale estremamente disponibile.
- Annie (10/5): Great stay. Definitely recommended - Friendly staff and excellent breakfast Parking is not always available but not a big issue as space nearby
- Karen (8/5): - Bed comfy. Lovely breakfast all to hand. Could do with a makeover
- Stu (8/5): -
- Emma (9/5): -
- Don (6/5): - Food was good Bed was comfortable and breakfast was good
- Hasan (1/5): -
- Elaine (9/5): -
- Anthony (4/5): Disappointing. - Staff really helpful & obliging. Excellent inclusive breakfast. Tired facilities. Draughty room. Poor soundproofing for a busy main road location.
- Jonathan (9/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): - The staff youtube in the room a nice breakfast and I could choose what I wanted Nothing
- Barry (6/5): - The cooked breakfast was adequate and really hot. Poor condition of the en-suite bathroom (loose toilet seat and no sink plug and sticker on the cistern which clearly pre-dated an earlier update). We stayed in Room 1.
Lack of information regarding the Inn, it's facilities and systems (e.g. table for breakfast alllotted by room number), either in person or in written form.
Limited contact with staff - one friendly, one not so.
One night stay for two, breakfast included, just about value for money. Site suggests that charge during festival week would be £450 per night. That certainly wouldn't be.
- Victor (7/5): - The radiator is overly hot. Also some electrical sockets near head of bed would be good
- Lucy (8/5): - Great location No parking. Broken toilet seat.
- irene (10/5): Molto comodo per visitare Cheltenham - Lo staff è stato davvero molto gentile!
- Ahmed (8/5): -
- Bartlett (10/5): -
- Gary (8/5): Good stay for one night - Breakfast
Warm room
Friendly staff
- Michael (10/5): -
- John (10/5): Lovely manager and there was a skittles eveningi was invited to.. - Tradition The shower
- Richard (8/5): - Comfortable stay, friendly hosts. My single room was directly above the kitchen fan. It goes off overnight but may disturb your lie in.
- Sophie (8/5): A very relaxing place to stay with a bus stop nearby making it within easy reach of the town centre - The breakfast is really good and healthy to start off your day, and the pub food for dinner was very British and delicious, I had a homemade beef and ale pie with mashed potatoes and an assortment of veg with a pint of Guinness for a total of £16.50...
The room and bathroom were warm and cosy, with everything in good working order; they have free wifi too!
And if you are a smoker, there is a little sheltered area for smoking outside, at the front of the building
- Michael (7/5): Great food, good service and friendly staff, but room could do with a bit of TLC. - The food was excellent, we had an evening meal that was very good value for money and tasty. Breakfast was very good. There was nowhere to hang any clothes in the room, some lights didn’t work and the extractor fan in the bathroom wouldn’t come on. The room was rather rundown with holes in the plaster work and loose screws holding door handles, etc. so the room could do with a bit of maintenance but was clean.
- Jonathan (8/5): - Great location staff all very friendly Lack of parking
- Sally (5/5): Acceptable for an overnight stay but I would not want to stay a week. - There was a good selection of breakfast food available, with hot breakfasts cooked to order.
The pub offers evening meals. Room utilitarian and appeared to be rather damp, I slept with the window open to get rid of the dampness. This meant I was woken up in the morning because my room faced the road.
- calvert (10/5): -
- Darren (9/5): -
- Geraldine (7/5): If you want a good value clean comfortable room near Cheltenham The London Inn is a good place to stay - Quiet clean and warm - it was freezing outside. Breakfast really good and host plesant The A40 was closed so got lost finding it was a really problem on a very icy night. It would have been good to have been warned.
- nick (5/5): It did what we wanted - Breakfast was ok, it was not too far from the centre. The man running the place was helpful and cheerful The room we shared was tiny and could do with updating a bit,but for Cheltenham it was cheap.so no complaints
