• Sabine (10/5): Beautiful home away from home in the heart of Thamel. - Beautiful place that feels like a home away from home, I stayed here for 2 weeks and couldn’t be happier with my choice of accommodation. All the staff are amazing and the courtyard is an oasis in Kathmandu. Great food, cosy & clean rooms and the cherry on top is a stunning rooftop perfect to watch the sunrise and sunset behind the surrounding mountains. Top location with easy access to all the highlights of Thamel. Highly recommend staying here!

• Flo (8/5): Good regarding the price tag - Very friendly staff, they helped us with taxis at local prices repeatedly and where generally very courteous. The room was clean and the shower hot. The room looked a bit tired and as the window was facing another wall there was barely sunlight.

Basic breakfast for western tastes. No formal indoor restaurant for the colder months. Being woken up for breakfast at 9 when it didn't finish until 10.

Because i’m a smoker i asked for one with or close to a balcony, so i got a room on the top floor with a huge (shared) terrace. Breakfast was great.

• Tahia (8/5): Very good - Everything was good. Very convenient location. You can find everything else nearby at walking distance in Thamel. The reception staff was very helpful with information. We had our bus at 7 am so they packed our breakfast. That was so helpful. Even though the breakfast foods could have been a bit better maybe, but it was okay.

• Sankranti (5/5): Not as great as I thought - The staff was polite and very nice- the hotel is at the prime location, and still it is quiet.the room is quite big and has strong AC, yet somehow it doesn’t affect the sitting room temperature much. Very good hot shower. The photos don’t match the room- there is no microwave, and the breakfast is barely there. The rooms had cockroaches and the water stopped in bathroom faucet on the last day and it was spraying dirt. The WiFi only works in the sitting area and is too slow inside.

They looked out for me when I needed help to see doctors and to get around with a broken leg. Would highly recommend. Is a lot of space to sit and read. Very big restaurant area and also a roof top space to work as well.

The hotel is not that remarkable in itself as it is a little older than some but what it lacks in modern architecture it makes up for in the friendliness, helpfulness and genuine care shown by the staff. I felt I was in good hands the whole time and they went out of their way to make my stay pleasant and safe. I was not well when I arrived and they found me a local doctor; they guided me to places I would not ordinarily have visited and I enjoyed once in a lifetime experiences that were 'priceless'. I have no hesitation in recommending a stay at the Buddha they made me feel very special...and ask about their other 'secret' businesses, worth the adventure. Not much worth mentioning

There's a rooftop terrace. Garden restaurant and bar. It's our second stay. Consistent over the past 2 years as well.

It is quite a noisy area, which you can hear through the windows at night. Felt slightly unsafe walking around once dark but lovely and popular tourist spot during the day.
