- Peter (8/5): - The dinner and breakfast were both, substantial and good quality. The staff were friendly and chatty. The quality of the room was excellent, although the bright fire exit sign didn't aid dropping off to sleep and the bathroom heated towel rail wasn't on, so the bathroom was cold. I didn't see the area around the property so i couldn't comment.

Food was excellent and all the staff, from Keith , the landlord, down, are friendly, kind and helpful, and all were happy in their jobs. We will be back!

- Nigel (8/5): Spacious accommodation for the family - We stopped in for a night in our way back home from Scotland. The cottage provides plenty of room for a family and has a living area and full kitchen with washing machine. Parking is easy and plentiful. We had dinner in the pub as well, which was good pub food and there is a good kids menu.

- Julian (8/5): Batteries Re-charged. - I stayed here for three nights B&B. My room was clean and appeared to have been renovated and decorated in recent times. The room had a double and single bed making it a little cramped. The bathroom was modern with an easy to operate shower. Being at the front of the pub, there was some noise from the A697. Breakfast was included in the price, and was excellent along with the service. I had one evening meal here which took was excellent.

We arrived very late so didn’t get to enjoy the pub but it looks very cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and lots of choices. Host was brilliant, accommodating us arriving late and cooking our delicious breakfast. I hope we have need to come back!

The room including the en-suite shower room were decorated to a very good standard. My only issue which was more of an Expedia problem was that the location was not as close to the postcode area that I entered, therefore was a further travel than I expected. However the hotel and accommodation provided was very good.

Really friendly and helpful staff, cheapest accommodation in the area that I could find which is always a bonus! Well situated not far from Coldstream on the English/Scottish Border and about 30 mins drive from Lindisfarne. Free breakfast included and the room was cleaned daily. Bed in single room may need to be changed soon as it seems to be on the way out but still slept fine nonetheless. Very happy with my stay!

The young lady who checked us in was very welcoming, helpful and professional. Room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Excellent evening meal, and high quality cooked breakfast in the morning. All in all, a very good stay, very happy.

- Robin (10/5): Exceptional service and a lovely stay - We stayed in the cottage for one night as a break on our journey to Aberdeenshire from Hampshire. The cottage is lovely, very clean and even has a fuzeball table which our teenage sons loved. We received a warm welcome including our dog. There are TVs in all the rooms and a very well equipped kitchen. If you don’t want to cook, try the food in the pub, that also was excellent and great value.
- Peter (10/5): A pleasant stay in Northumberland at the Blue Bell - We were pleasantly surprised with our room,it was of good size and and airy with a view of the garden.The shower was amazing - large,easy to use and good pressure.The breakfast would have fed a family and was beautifully cooked and presented. The only drawback to our stay was the evening meal on our last night,the meal arrived after we had waited a considerable time,the mashed potato potato was dry and lumpy and the pie overcooked.The place was very busy and had minimal staff which I felt was a major contribution to this problem.Overall our stay was enjoyable and the staff were great,pleasant and friendly.Yes,I would stay again and intend to in the immediate future
- Janelle (8/5): - The check-in was easy. We arrived around 8:00 and asked about eating dinner. They stated as long as we got done there before 8:30. Breakfast was included, but we were leaving prior to serving time (we were leaving at 7:00). No discount or other options for a "to go" breakfast were offered. The room was extremely hot, but a fan was provided in the room which was nice. The shower was outstanding! The beds were comfortable.

Room was nice and spacious and great value for money. Only criticism is that the bathroom ceiling in Room 2 needs some attention as part was being held by a wedge of wood. Room was also chilly so maybe radiators could be turned up slightly before guests arrive to take chill off room but understand it’s expensive to heat a room now

We stopped two nights and had two wonderful evening meals which were served to a high standard and the breakfasts were excellent too! I would definitely recommend The Blue Bell Inn. I have nothing negative to add.
- Moire (10/5): - Nice pub with 4 rooms. Check in is after 4pm when pub opens. Rooms are at the back so no road noise. Pub closes at 10pm so again no noise. We had a meal there, large portions, my husband had the steak pie which is the largest he has had! I had the fish pie, very good. No wine list. Bed comfy, plenty of tea and coffee and good selection of biscuits. New shower room with good shower. It was warm, so pleased there was a fan in room. There is also a small fridge. We prebooked breakfast the night before, excellent quality. We also had cereal, orange juice, tea and toast! Had a good chat to the manager after breakfast. Will stay again.

Lovely lovely young woman behind the cosy bar making me feel welcome , even locals engaged in conversation which was lovely. Food was fabulous too and room although only small single was fine for my needs I.e. spotless, flat screen tv, kettle & comfy bed ...all I need really . Definitely be back thank you !

- Andrew (8/5): NICE WEE BREAK. - The Inn is well run & the staff are very helpful & knowledgeable. It a lovely quiet clean place to relax which serves outstandingly good food cooked to order. We stayed over the weekend & had a great little break just before schools go back. I would advise when checking in on arrival to book a table for Dinner, as its a very popular Venue for Dinning and sampling various beverages.

The restaurant and bar is fresh and modern, whilst the food is cooked to order, so it takes a little while. The room we stayed in is snug, but with enough space in the room. More importantly the mattress on the bed is quality. An excellent night's sleep. So many hotels skimp on this detail. Another minor thing which pleased me was separate hot and cold taps on the basin. I stay in a lot of hotels and am tired of bending to wash my face only to fight with some interfering mono block tap! Rant over Would I stay and eat here again? Definitely. Yes I recommend it.

Food was good and both mornings our breakfast table was set out for us and cooked to order. Our room was above the bar so could hear everything but once closed which wasn't late was peaceful. It's a bit out of the way but Kelso in one direction and Spittal and Berwick in the other. We

- Robert (10/5): Saturday night visit - One night stay on a tour of Northumberland. Check in was easy, room very clean, and drinks and meal on evening very good quality and value. Staff and owner very friendly. Breakfast in conservatory next morning was excellent, with fruit, cereals, tea/coffee and full cooked breakfast. Car parking to front of inn.
