Guest Reviews

- Denise (1/5): Disgusting biohazard - Absolutely nothing. This place is a biohazard. We paid $107 to sleep in a filthy, mold infested fire hazard. The curtains were covered in white fuzzy mold. The floors haven’t been cleaned in ages they were sticky and covered in filth, there were electrical wires sticking out everywhere and illegally wired to fluorescent lighting. The towels were stained and every piece of furniture was too gross to sit on. We were a big group of cyclists and by the time we arrived after cycling 65 miles we didn’t have the energy to go look for another place. We should have. It just got worse and worse as we discovered more disturbing/disgusting things. As we were ready for bed we realized that the bolt lock didn’t work do we had to barricade ourselves in. Please avoid this motel, it should be shut down by the heath department. Then to top it all off, we left our cycling bags etc in one room while we went out to breakfast and when a member of our party with a truck came back to retrieve our stuff at 10:10am(check out was 11am) they locked her out of the room and said she was too late that check out was passed and they figured we left all our stuff. She had to insist many times to be let in to get our expensive cycling bags etc. Do not stay here.
- Kinkaid (10/5): -
- Cody (1/5): -
- Heidi (3/5): - There was no conditioner with the soaps. The rooms were not as the pictures portrayed them to be.
- Philip (6/5): Reasinably priced, clean and comfortable. - A fair price for the experience. It shows its age inside and out. But it was clean and tidy. Beds and bed clothes are new and made all the difference. Room had a strong, permanent odor of bug spray.
- Brenda (6/5): -
- Brodie (3/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): The rooms were nice and clean - The room was very clean. Check in was great. Parking was crazy
- Marilyn (9/5): -
- Lynnette (6/5): -
- Robert (5/5): Happy with "pet friendly " but won't stay here anymore. - Pet friendly Room was not very clean, also had a bad smell
- Sharon (6/5): Gave me a safe place to stay before dark. - The room was big, king bed adequate, clean. Motel was located half way to my destination. Door wouldn’t unlock with key card. No extra lock on door. Heater was very noisy. Bathroom needed to be regrouted.
- Alexia (1/5): - Location Room was a mess. Everything was dirty. Sink kept getting clogged and made the whole room smell terrible all night.
- roman (1/5): Stay away - Not a damn thing Fridge was actively leaking water and not running also the Hot water didn't work so my wife had to take a cold shower came into the room being frigid because they didn't have the heat on by far honestly one of the worst motels I've ever stayed in stay away
- SEVERINE (7/5): -
- Kimber Harper (7/5): Clean, comfy, great value. - For an older building it was very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the front desk staff was efficient and friendly. There was a Keurig coffee machine and microwave, but no fridge. It was in a very nice little town with no road noise. A great value for a comfortable, clean room. I would stay here again. No fridge.
- Fredy (10/5): - Thank you
- Jeff (10/5): - For an aging property it is fine.
- Dr. Norbert (6/5): - Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit Kaffeebereiter Ein schon in die Jahre gekommenes Zimmer mit kleinen Mängeln, wie z. B. defekte Beleuchtung.
- Wojciech (10/5): - You're getting way more than you.paid!
- Mayur (10/5): - Well maintained
- John (8/5): - Older property but kept updated.
- Charles (4/5): The Good and the Bad - Good: Price, no critters, great internet
Bad. old building, shabby interior, not clean, hot water takes a LONG time, towels have stains and are coarse and haven't been white in a long time
- Verified traveler (2/5): NOT WORTH THE PRICE - The room is disgusting. If we werent traveling so late i would have left already. You could shower surez but if you touch anything in the room then you need to take another shower. Yeah you save a couple dollars, but it is NOT WORTH IT!
- Rachele (10/5): Helpful and friendly staff! - Friendly & helpful staff! If you need something, just ask them! Everyone was really polite and quick to offer help. It was nice to be close to the strip but have a quiet place to recharge! We were there to tour around the national parks on motorcycles, so it was great to have a pool, cold drinks kitchen etc. to come back to. Easy access on and off the highways. We would stay here again.
- Hale (8/5): - Manager called and asked what type room I needed and had A/C on in room so it was cool. He also had bottled water on check-in. Very accommodating. Light for vanity area and bathroom same switch which illuminates whole room. Not good in the night if someone gets up to go to the bathroom. Disturbs sleeping people. Need separate light switches.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Find another place - Im not someone who is picky about a place to stay when drivng thru but this place ahould be condemned. There was sketch electrical, it was dirty, things were broken. I have stayed at some cheap bad places but this place was the worst.
- Marilyn (7/5): - It was a convenient location from where I needed to go. I was in a room that was close to the road. I'm a very light sleeper, so that's something I didn't like, and I won't stay in that room again. when I go to Nephi, I will ask for another room further from the road.
- Cari (10/5): - Clean and nice staff.
- James (10/5): - A lot of make shift maintenance but comfortable beds and clean.
- Brad E (2/5): - The Safari motel is one one the filthest motels overstayed at. The managers are from India which is great but they don't communicate in English very well. It was the condition of the hotel that I couldn't except. The towel and linens were dirty as well.
- Cassandra (6/5): Pleasant - Price
- Jordan (2/5): - Room was dirty in many areas, a couple broken handles and such that are easy fixes. Hot water did not work so I couldn’t even shower. Overall the place is very neglected and I will not be returning
- Michael (4/5): Satisfactory. - Its location. No hangers. Very poor refurbishment.
- GORDON (6/5): - We appreciated being able to get a room at the last minute when our other reservation which we had made through Expedia fell through. The Safari was old and quite run down. Loose flooring, curtains hanging weirdly, etc. We were too tired to be picky. The bed was really high, very difficult for a short person to get into. We were told to run the hot water for the shower fo1-2 minutes but it was 5 minutes before it got kind of hot. We won't stay there again.
- Munro (8/5): I like the lighted square, I don't have to worry much about theft. - I did not eat breakfast as provided by the motel, as I had brought my own with me. But I often bring a trailer of some sort, and the staff is very accommodating.
- Christian (10/5): - Great and easy
- Lucas (10/5): Safari Inn - Needed a cheap hotel that was clean. That’s what I got.
- Jacob (3/5): Poor - It is a motel, don’t expect anything nice. It was cheap and convenient, but the floor was dirty and the walls were stained. Bathroom looked like it had some kind of mold on the floor, also had no hot water one day. Front desk lady was kind though.
- Dawn (8/5): - Manager was very accommodating.
And friendly
- Keysha (1/5): traumatizing - Noithing, the building needs to be condemned. the windows are boarded up, light bulbs all gone, steel on lamps was rotting, the tub had paint peeling off, there was huge cracks in the floor not to mention the dirtyness overall. The building being rebuilt for safety and health reasons.
- Sarah (4/5): - Unfortunately this property while pictured as slightly updated is far from it. Peeling paint & caulking, tub shower combo is a joke. You can’t use the tub & the shower has peeling paint on the inside, there is mold/mildew all over the bathroom ceiling. Dangling wires across the ceiling to the tv with crap channels. Beds were ok but pillows were horrible lumps. Towels did not match & were discolored. Moved a night stand to plug in my phone only to find trash & dust bunnies. The outlets were basically a joke as most things plugged in would fall out.
- Kambra (2/5): VERY GROSS, VERY STINKY, HORRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE MO - The place stunk to high heaven of old stale smoke from probably 30 years ago, the place looks like a slum lord owns and operates it. The bathtub was so ugly I wouldn't even take a shower in fact no one in my family took a bath or shower the next day because it was so run down. Very poor condition, all of was good for was a warm place to sleep, the for in my dad's apartment is more comfortable than the stay at the Safari motel it was gross. I'll bet they have a coch roach problem because it also smelled of roach spray. Very stinky, very poor upkeep if you can call it upkeeping with the condition of the motel. Looks like something you'd find in a 3rd world country and the price is ridiculous with how poorly kept it is. Very unsatisfied and very unimpressed with this motel. DISGUSTING, DO NOT STAY THERE!!! With how poorly is kept they shouldn't even be on hotels.com as an option to stay at.
- marilynl (8/5): - Great owners
- Tija (3/5): ok - dark run down facility. clean sheets and bed ok. great for 1 night to rest. i should have checked first. no time . it was nite and dark. just wanted a rest
- Paivi (10/5): - Wonderful motel.
- Lindsay (4/5): - It was honestly pretty sketchy and dirty, but for the price it was alright (maybe a little much still)
- Kaylee (1/5): Bad -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Smellie - Rooms had a musty smell
- Timothy (4/5): Disappointing - the patrons. the barbeque grill. that's about it.
- Brenda (2/5): - Large stain on blanket. Were told it was paint and has been there a long time. Bathtub held together with caulking. Coffee maker very dirty. One small package of coffee with plastic cups for coffee. Bathroom floor dirty in corners and along baseboard. Wish I could submit photos.
- Travis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vaunette (8/5): - Very accommodating for the area.
- Emilie (9/5): Superb - It was very affordable, and we got what we paid for. We came in late, and the guy was very helpful. The door key didn't work initially, but he helped us.
- David (6/5): - Only option in price range
- Thomas (8/5): I would recommend this property to everyone! Jackie was especially welcoming and made . - The staff was very helpful. The manager was very professional and very welcoming. I can think of anything. I've stayed here multiple times, and enjoy my stay always
- Cam (6/5): - The employees have hearts of gold but stuck working in a coal mine. Awful property, if you want to get stranded go to Nephi
- KAUSTUBH (8/5): - Clean and maintained place to stay. Very helping and friendly hosts.
- Axel (4/5): Good location and friendly staff, but the place definitely needs a. Akeover. -
- Tom (8/5): Friendly staff and comfortable room. - Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. The room was comfortable and quiet. The wifi was a bit slow.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect location between Salt Lake airport and Zion after a long flight. Great service.
- Larry (9/5): Superb - The value was great. It was basic but clean and had everything we needed including coffee maker, ice comfortable beds, cute decor. The manager was kind, and proffessional. It was very clean. Pet friendly for our little dog. We were so relieved to find this . Thank you
- Harant (8/5): Very good - The owners/staff were very professional and kind. It is obvious that they take pride in their motel and are doing their best to make their accommodations clean, comfortable, and safe. The bed was very comfortable and the area/motel were quiet. My room was very spacious as well. It is obviously an old hotel, but the owners did their best to make some updates and make the space comfortable. Their rates are very affordable.
- Michele (10/5): - It was clean and comfortable! We were able to relax and enjoy our evening.
- Janis (5/5): Impressive king bed! - Impressive king size bed! The facility was older, but everything worked. When we checked in we were offered cold water and granola bars! Really loved that touch! Room could have been cleaner. Shower head was too low for me and hot water took a bit too long to heat up. It was comfortable temp eventually.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Such a great little motel owned/operated by the nicest family!!
The bed was HUGE and SUPER comfy, the owners went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable!!
- Lori (3/5): There is absolutely no justification to charge $94 a night. This place is run down and nasty. - Nothing. This place was gross. I’d never stay here again Dirty, run-down, slow check in, room smelled and very warm
- Kathryn (2/5): - When we arrived at the property the office had a terrible smell. Even know their website states they take pets they told me that pets were not allowed. I was showed the room and it looked fine. Upon actually getting the key and going into the room we discovered there was hair all over the bathroom, the floor was sticky, thwre were burn holes in the linens and curtains, the window was broken.
- Jd (3/5): Looks like they made a halfhearted effort to make it better and failed - Staff very accommodating Cleanliness lacking. Towels looked like they had been walked on with dirty boots.
- NIKHIL KUMAR REDDY (2/5): - One the worst place to stay. Unhygenic and not recommended to stay.
- Dennis (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gary (8/5): - For the price it was great I would stay there again and plan to
- Linda (6/5): - Pleasant room. Unfortunately couldn't get any hot water. Let the water run for at least 10-15 minutes and at least it wasn't ice cold. But not having hot water was a problem.
- Angie (2/5): - Nothing properly maintained. White paint peeling off tub. Towels and washcloths gray (formerly white). Hair from previous guests on everything. Noisy.
- Gabriel (10/5): - We LOVE Safari of Nephi . The best place in town!
- Philippe (8/5): - The Branded Barbers shop in town is a must to stop.
- Lori (6/5): - This is a no-frills budget motel. It looks like the owners are trying to get it fixed up little by little which I like. Locally owned motels have a cool feel to them, and this one has that. The man who helped us last nite was super nice, and was very helpful. We needed a place to crash, and the motel served that purpose. Some little things that would make it even better—cleaner rooms, upgraded pillows (beds were fine), better towels, and making sure each room had all fixtures working. Upgraded soap and amenities would be a nice touch too. This motel has the bones and potential to be a cool place to stop for a nite or two!
- Morgan (1/5): Gross!!! Uncomfortable!!! Toilet wouldn’t flush!!! Overall DIRTY!!! - Nothing!!! Everything!!!
- Beverly (6/5): - Bedding and towels, shower and toilet were clean, but floors and countertops not so
- Tiffanie (8/5): - Great host
- Bri (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lorrie (4/5): - Very old needs updating ceiling floor and bathroom
- David (8/5): - The place was basic but decent. The wall patching in my bathroom wasnt finished but everything else was fine.
- Christine (3/5): Happy to have a bed to sleep in but wouldn't stay there again. - Poorly maintained The room was run down.
- tony (10/5): - We stayed here, due to it being independently owned & great value. It’s a old motel, however bed & pillows where great. Clean, quiet as well.
- Weinbaum (7/5): Good -
- Lenore (6/5): Ok, brief, one night stopover. -
- Dennis (4/5): - I haven't been to a hotel that has been so poorly taken care of in my life! There were patched up holes all over the room and some that were not patched up at all. The sink in the bathroom was cracked, the tub was painted in spots, the bar of lights in the bathroom and the back of the room only had one light bulb out of 4 in each. There was no outlet in the bathroom and no mirror other than in the bathroom, so it was difficult to do my hair. The flooring in the bathroom, tile, curtains, pictures on the wall were at least 40 years old. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
- laurie (2/5): - We ended up leaving and finding another hotel.
You keep asking me to revise this review. I won't. This hotel should not be on you your site. It was so dirty, we couldn't stay and had to find another hotel.
- Kingsley (2/5): Even for the price, I won’t be back. - I could park right in front of my room for a quick escape if I needed it Door didn’t even have a lock. Curtains were torn and felt like no privacy. AC had 2 settings. Cold as Antarctica and that package of chicken that sat in the freezer for 8 months that you just forget you have. I’m pretty sure there were more flies in my room than there are in the wild. Bed was about as soft as concrete if there was a sheet covering it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great customer service! - GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! WE LEFT SOMETHING VALUABLE THERE AND THEY FOUND IT AND WORKED WITH US TO GET IT BACK!
- Alisa (7/5): It was a pleasant stay for not a fancy place. - The owner was super friendly. He even offered us a bottle of cold water when we arrived. The coffee maker had to be moved to where we could plug it in.
- Tia (8/5): Convenient! - Value A teensy bit run down
- Jeff (4/5): Ok if nothing else available - Had a room that was supposed to be two queen size beds were actually two double size beds. The ice maker was broken.
- Jennie (2/5): - It shocks me that $75 would buy something this terrible. Outside our window was a 3-foot stack of trash and construction debris. The floors look like they haven't been swept in weeks. The comforter was so gross, we threw it on the floor; the blanket underneath looked blood-stained and had multiple cigarette burns in it, and the sheets were so suspect, we slept in sleeping bags on top of them. The guy who checked us in was very nice and gave us free cold waters, but otherwise, this stay was a terrible experience.
- Anonymous (3/5): Some what ok - Staff amazing Dirty / smelled / not clean showers horrible
- Alla (3/5): Horrible experience - Nothing Bugs in the room. Smelly beds and blankets. No hot water in the rooms. Fridge is not working. Horrible experience.
- Paul (8/5): Needs some better care. - I would give this place a better rating, but the condition is so poor. Nothing that creates a problem, but just in poor looking condition (very poor patch jobs, paint peeling, curtains that are wore out, missing light bulbs, etc.) Other than that, it was a good stay, Beds are great, cooler worked fine, so we were comfortable.
- Mark (5/5): Passable - The owner was very friendly. The bed was hard, and the pillows were flat. There was a smell of stale air.
