- Ralf (9/5): Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt - wir können das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. - Das Zimmer war sehr schön, hell und geräumig. Trotz der Lage an einem verkehrsreichen Platz war es nachts sehr ruhig dank hervorragender Schalldämmung des Verkehrslärms durch das Fenster. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, zentrumsnah - die Innenstadt kann von dort gut zu Fuß erkundet werden. Mit einem U-Bahnhof vor der Tür, der mehrere Linien verbindet, ist das Hotel auch sehr gut an den ÖPNV angebunden. Das Frühstück hat uns auch sehr gefallen. Das Büffet bot viel Auswahl von allem mit viel frischem Obst. Das Personal an der Rezeption war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein kleiner Schwachpunkt waren die Wasserfließgeräusche von anderen Hotelzimmern in der Nacht.

- simon (3/5): Did not meet the expectations of a 4 star hotel and subsequent price. - Expectation was for a 4 star hotel, reality was a significantly less. Not complaining about the hotel per se, just that the expectations were not met. Was not an uplifting place to come back to which we thought was what we were paying for. Left a day early with no expectation of refund, just not the experience we were looking for.

Lovely room with plenty of space - loved the shutters at the windows giving the option of the wind up/down blind for some light to complete black out - would certainly recommend the hotel as a place to stay

The metro and buses are around the corner.,walking distance to paseo Castellana, Serrano, Cibeles, etc. I love the hotel because of their customer service. Tomi and Galo were incredible. The ladies also were so helpful in the reception. Breakfast was excellent and the service there was also a 10. I will be returning for sure.

Some really nice staff in early morning, helpful and friendly. Coffe machine in the entrance was broken. Asked for a bucket of ice to celebrate special occasion which was problematic with one individual at reception. One person in particular was not making any effort or accomadating where others were great.. Ice machine was broken for 3 days. Asked for an iron which was challenging again with one certain individual.

It has it all: location, style, charm, convenience. We stayed in a superior double room with city view and a balcony. Soundproofing at this hotel is really excellent: no street noise whatsoever and no inconvenient indoor noises from neighbors'rooms. Subway, buses, eateries, coffee shops, are all at your doorstep while museums, old city and shopping areas lay within walking distance.

We had the breakfast which was fresh with plenty of choice including gluten free options. The bar closed at 11pm which was a shame as we were a large group and didn’t want to try to find somewhere else for a group.

Our room was comfortably appointed, we had breakfast on our last day where there was plenty of choice. The hotel is only metres from a Metro station which we negotiated successfully. There are several nice cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. My friend arrived at 10:30 on a Friday evening and there was plenty of choice for somewhere to eat even at that time.

The Sardinero has it all--beautifully appointed, spacious rooms with high ceilings, ornate crown moulding, floor-to-ceiling window, and a balcony, along with a very comfortable king bed, and a large modern, tiled bathroom featuring every amenity you could want (shaving kit, vanity kit, sewing kit, shower cap, toothbrush, hairbrush). The location is convenient (15-minute walk to the center of the city), the breakfast is excellent, and the price is extremely reasonable. This is a one-of-a-kind hotel, and we will definitely return! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We were a bit worried about noise but at night with the shutters closed it was very quiet. The front desk staff is outstanding, warm, professional and focused on providing exceptional customer service. The hotel is in a stunning historical building and the room maintained some lovely architectural details. There are two rooftop lounges which offer incredible views and a nice place to sit outside in warm weather.

- Cabulo (10/5): Céntrico y renovado - La ubicación. En mi caso viajé para participar en la media maratón de Madrid, y estaba a 5-10 minutos de la salida/meta. De hecho la carrera pasa por delante de la puerta. Además en la zona hay tiendas, bares y de todo lo que se puede necesitar. Hay una entrada del Metro a pocos pasos. El patio central ha sido techado y reconvertido en bar. La accesibilidad. Comprendo que al ser un inmueble protegido no se puede retocar pero creo que se puede buscar otras soluciones para viajeros con maletas, carritos... La habitación era antigua pero remodelada y amplia. El baño estaba completamente renovado.

The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of good quality food. The hotel was located in a great neighbourhood, north of the central area. The rooms were nicely decorated, and our room overlooking the square was sound proof. Yes, I would recommend the hotel.

- nickgV5256UC (6/5): Okay - The hotel itself is fine - nice and clean. Location is great for most attractions and directly on top of an underground station if you need to get that to go somewhere. What I didn't realise is that the building is built like a hollow cylinder. So if you have one of the internal facing rooms you get little natural light, especially on the lower floors like I was. I asked if I could get a change of room and, after checking, was told it would be possible, which was quite accommodating by the hotel. Yet the following day I was told that the previous employee that I spoke to "made a mistake" and that it, without question, it wasn't possible. A strange dismissal. This peculiar miscommunication marred an otherwise adequate experience.

- SD1007 (10/5): Elevate your city break - Hotel Sardinero is perfectly placed for all your holiday needs. We used the metro from the airport, which was so easy. The entire city is walkable from your base, with some good food and drink places nearby. Also a phenomenal ice cream shop over the road. We stored our luggage at the hotel, as we had an early flight. Fatima was extremely helpful, friendly and informative. On her recommendation we ate in La Latina, and it was superb. The room was beautiful with a small balcony and floor to ceiling windows, making it light and airy Breakfast was fantastic. A good selection of hot/cold and continental options. Wide variety of juices and coffee/tea. The guy hosting the breakfast room was attentive and friendly - he kept everything topped up. If I were coming again, I would stay here in a heartbeat
