While I was told no, the attendant asked me if I wanted to cancel to which I replied 'no'. He canceled it which I found out by way of an email as soon as I got off the phone. They charged me a 1 night penalty which was confirmed days later on my credit card. Shady

Water, food, batteries from remotes being taken out. My stay was for 3 weeks. The smell of Weed is throughout the whole second floor and third floors. People jumping up on the floor above all night long almost every night. When I tried to use my kitchenette there was melted plastic on the stove top.

In the bedroom the ceiling shows a serious leak from floor above. Why do I need to report all of these unpleasantries? Shouldn't someone who cleans the room....fix or report to next level to fix for the guest to have a pleasant stay? I have photos I hope tobadd to this.

- Yi-Fan (5/5): This hotel is a good option if you plan to sleep there only and not spend much time there throughout the day. - Location is good. Kenny at the front desk and Martha in housekeeping are really helpful. Rooms are not the most well “sound proofed”. Walking through the hallway to my room I could hear sounds from the rooms I passed by (laughter or calls) but when I’m in my room I don’t hear what happens in other rooms. The hotel breakfast I had on my first day made me sick (the pulled pork tasted odd and the English muffin looked like it had moldy spots). It may just have been bad luck on my part, but I aired on the side of caution and avoided hotel food throughout the rest of my stay. I tried using the gym but for some reason it was not available but I couldn’t find any signage explaining what it wasn’t in service. Two of the hotel staff I encountered are friendly and helpful but I cannot say the same for the others. I asked one housekeeping staff for a roll of kitchen towels but expressed I didn’t need cleaning and she looked at me like I was asking her to give me a car.

- PizzaGal007 (2/5): Serious Safety Concerns and Poor Handling of Guest Issues - I had a very disappointing experience staying at Homewood Suites in Carle Place, NY. During my stay, mold was discovered in the mattress of the original room, which is a serious health and safety concern. Maintenance was sent up and we were told by maintenance that it was a housekeeping issue and left. I spoke with front desk, housekeeping came up and changed matresses. But since there were other issies in the room and after reporting this, we were moved to another room, but unfortunately the issues did not end there.There was also black mold evident on the vents in the bedroom. Everything in room had dust on it, even after we had housekeeping come in. I called for room service one day and they never came to clean room and then they couldn't because it was after one. The second room had additional problems, including water-related issues, visible paint chipping, a tile shelf fell off in walk-in shower and was told it would take 24 hours to repair anyway for the caulk to dry; by maintenance; and non-functioning phones, making it difficult to contact the front desk when needed. Despite multiple room changes, nothing was properly resolved or fixed. Since the phones were not functioning properly, I was told by maintenence that I had my cell phone to use in case of emergency. I was told by maintenance to also just only call the front desk if I needed anything and disregard the other buttons for housekeeping, emeegency, etc that were non functioning. We were then told we would need to move again to a third room during our extended stay, with no consideration for accommodating a handicapped family member who is staying with us. This added unnecessary stress and difficulty to an already challenging situation. They provided no assistance in moving rooms as well. To make matters worse, no meaningful compensation was provided, even though it was discussed. We were ultimately told to seek accommodations elsewhere when I called customer care and had e-mailed in...with zero assistance, support, or compensation offered. This experience involved repeated disruptions, unresolved maintenance problems, lack of accessibility consideration, and a lack of accountability. I expected a much higher standard from a Hilton-branded property. I would strongly recommend that management address these issues to ensure future guests do not have a similar experience. I'm disgusted how they treat guests here at Hilton.
- adil759 (2/5): Very poor experience – not up to Hilton standards - Stayed here March 14–18, 2026. Overall experience was far below what is expected from a Hilton property. Corridors were repeatedly dirty, with garbage bags left outside rooms for hours. Housekeeping equipment was left in guest areas, and through a corridor window we saw dead pigeons outside that appeared to have been there for days. There was continuous noise above our room during the day. We were told the pool was heated, but it was cold. Later our key no longer opened the pool area, and a sign appeared stating the pool was closed for renovations. The front desk service was also unacceptable. One employee (Kenny) was dismissive, unhelpful, and spoke in a confrontational manner. We raised these issues with both the hotel and Hilton during our stay and received no response. Overall, not a property I would recommend.

Bathroom light flickering, shower head leaking and dishwasher doesn't close. Dishes and silverware were not in the cabinets, after day 5 there we noticed a bad rotten milk smell. We opened the dishwasher and to our surprise found all the dishes and silverware dirty, rotting, and smelling of spoiled milk. Notified the front desk and they gave us paper plates and plastic utensils to get through our trip. I have no idea what happened to those dirty dishes, they remained there until we checked out. We didn't wash them because the dishwasher didn't close properly and didn't want a flooded room. Major heads up, this place is not a full time hotel for travelers. It is mostly a long term family shelter with them staying 28 days then have to leave for a day or two then return. That being said the smell of Marijuana is prevalent in the halls, rooms, and people getting high outside by the entrances and parking lots even though it is a non smoking hotel. Guess they have 28 days to get rid of the smell. They also walk around the hotel dressed inappropriately wearing pajamas and not showering to breakfast, etc.

Also booked a king suite showing 3 left came in and got a double queen. Why not call the customer and see if its okay so they dont cancel and you lose a booking someone else could take? Got to the room and smelled like someone had cooked fish there and the pillows were messed up as if someone laid on the bed prior to us coming in.

- SYLVIA (8/5): Clean spacious suite & friendly service in NY? What??? - Stayed in the 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious for NY city. The rooms & bathrooms were very clean. The check in was quick. Kenny assigned us a room close to the elevators, without our asking, as one of our guests had mobility issues. He took the time to make sure I was getting the membership rate. He smiled and treated us like guests, which is rare for NY. Our complimentary water included top brand snacks. He responded to our room issue quickly. We were pleasantly surprised that the suite had 2 full baths, one shower only & the other a tub/shower combo, with full size shampoo, conditioner & body wash in each. Breakfast was the usual hotel hot breakfast buffet fare plus grab & go upgrades like overnight oats with chia seeds and chia pudding made with oat milk. The bagels were fresh & soft. There were sufficient tables & chairs Our room had a broken thermostat it kept getting cooler as we tried to make the rooms warmer. We had already settled in after a long day of travel, so changing rooms was not desirable. Kenny provided extra blankets & continued to check on us via the hotel's text process

- Gabriela (4/5): Would not stay again, paid $600+ for a hairy room. - The bed was comfortable and we could get a good night sleep but we were also exhausted so that contributed. The staff was very nice and were helpful (as much as they could be). The bathroom was very unclean. When we first arrived the toilet seat had some mystery stains underneath, the floor of the bathroom had little hairs all over the floor (seemed to be beard hair?). The bathtub had hair stuck on the wall and there was a long curly black hair stuck to the shampoo bottle. There were small tiny hairs found on one of the pillow cases as well. The rest of the room felt grimy and furniture looked old and stained. We asked for housekeeping to clean the bathroom and when we came back the same hairs were still found in the bathtub.

The manager itself of the hotel is very helpful, polite and welcoming to the guests pf the hotel. You can see on his act and face that his sincere to help. receptionist are there polite but not helpful. Its very prostrating that if you raised issue they dont even bother to call you back or inform anything. Not that much busy in the reception as we always observe. Even asking them to ask someone to clean our room. For 11 days we stayed in hotel just one time they clean the room, majority of time they only collect the rubbish. I did mentioned to the male receptionist four days before we left that our room need to clean as been many days not been change even the beddings. They just give you new towels thats it. Well i hope the owner of the hotel will see this comments while we stayed in there place. The manager is great and amazing very accommodating and respectful. But the rest i have to think again because they’re only there just to work and earn money. Imagine we are tourist we dont know about the place were asking the receptionist when we came to check in if he can suggest any place that we can go or do they have a map but only we get is nothing.

There was a problem with the room that was assigned to me on the first night - the heat did not work. On the second night, the room was changed but it was even more disastrous - there was a smell and we saw a roach next to the bed. They gave us a refund for those 2 nights, but they said it had to pass through Booking.com, as the room was booked using Booking.com. Despite providing all my information to Booking.com, I am yet to receive the refund from Booking.com. It is already 13 days since I was informed by the hotel that they had issued a refund to me through Booking.com

- Jillian (9/5): Lovely! - This was a lovely stay and had the convenience of everything I needed while visiting family and friends on Long Island. Very close to shopping and a variety of places to eat. I grew up in this area and am happy to have found the place I’ll stay at every time. My king suite was impeccably clean and comfortable, I slept like a baby, and really appreciated the spotless amenities like the dishwasher and fridge! Most of the staff I interacted with in passing were friendly and welcoming. I work in hotels and I understand that check in time can be strict based on housekeeping needs etc. However, I arrived the day of a snow storm and I called around noon asking for a check in around 3pm due to my arrival time and stressful driving. I was told it was a strict 4pm check in. When I arrived at 4pm I noticed on the back of my door, it did state a check in time of 3pm. This bothered me only because there appeared to be no leniency when I called. I think that the time should be universal one way or another or at least take situations into account for guests if the room is already clean. However, I do understand with so many people in and out, if you promise it to one it has to be for everyone. Overall I look forward to coming back here again.

We love the suite because we can all stay together and this time we were disappointed with being told they were out of order and they had to give us two rooms instead and not even adjoining rooms. The pool was out for the first three days. We met the general manager, Paul, at breakfast on our fourth day and it was like talking to a frozen person. He was not apologetic in any way and didn’t seem to care at all when we asked about the pool. Definitely not an overall people friendly person. We came back to our room last night to a warning of the water being off from 11am to 1 pm today. Of course the day we planned to take it easy. May rethink any future stays. 🤔

They were placed on the kitchen counter and after leaving room and coming back after housekeeping came, they were gone. Ive called multiple times, and continue to be told there are no rings found. They were missing after housekeeping came in and management continues to tell me they are not found. Please take my warning, if you value ANY of your items, DO NOT STAY HERE.

- kevinkorell (10/5): Very nice stay in Carle Place - I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I like to stay at different properties throughout the Hilton portfolio when I visit a particular area. I chose this hotel because I was able to walk the mile or so from the Carle Place LIRR station, and it was also walkable to Roosevelt Field Mall and a restaurant in the area I dined at. As I always do, I checked in via the Hilton app the day before, and chose my suite. As I had other business completed on Long Island early, I arrived at the hotel earlier than check-in time. I was ready to ask them to store my luggage so that I would walk around, but they said they had a comparable room ready that I could occupy right away. It turns out the room they gave me was directly below the one I had chosen, so my layout and amenities were exactly the same. Back at my suite after all that walking, I was able to relax. Plenty of space in the living area and bathroom for my belongings. No issues with WiFi, TV, or climate control. Decent night of sleep. In the morning, enjoyed the breakfast before checking out online and heading back to LIRR to leave town. For my brief interactions with the front desk, I did not have any negative issues -- everyone appeared to be friendly and accommodating. I did appreciate the earlier check-in! I would recommend this place as it's convenient to a lot. Plenty of shopping and dining nearby.

This went on for two days!! What a disappointment this hotel was.

- pcnyt (10/5): Great Stay, Great Service, Great Experience! - I stayed two nights in this hotel recently and it was the exact same great experience I received as the last time I stayed here! Kenny greeted me during check in. He was very professional and friendly and did a great job welcoming me! I added a night to my stay and he helped me with that flawlessly. Kenny always gives me a smile with all the fun facts and jokes as well as insights he has. Room was very clean and comfortable. All public spaces were very well maintained. No more parking fees which is great! Joe was also great help when I had some questions. He goes above and beyond for the customer. I once watched him grab a bucket and get ice for a customer. Most front desk agents at other hotels that I have observed would just tell the guests where the ice machines are. None made it their mission to make it easier for the guest. Overall very well managed location with excellent staff members.

Housekeeping never answers their phone, the front desk never answers the phone, & when you complain, they take to offense instead of apologizing. The G.M is as useless as they come. He’s there to pressure you for money, & their bottom line. The pot smoking never seems to go away & the pool is always broken. Stay away of this house of horrors. Such a shame, with so many other great hotels now in the area, you would figure they would make adjustments, but they haven’t & wont.

I think if they’re excited to do their jobs well it will come through and their attitudes toward the customers. I like the room they were spacious and they provided good comfortability for my wife and myself and my daughter. We stayed for two weeks so it was a good stay. The cleaning staff did a good job and they were polite and respectful.

- Starfighter101 (4/5): Not a great experience - I had booked this hotel for 7 nights as I was in the area for work. I had chosen this hotel because of its high ratings, but I was a little worried about the recent reviews. I arrived around 2 pm and had already checked in via the app, choosing my room on the top floor. When I got to the room, I noticed that the digital key was not working so I had to go downstairs for a standard key card. The front desk girl was very nice and friendly. Once I got to my room, I opened the door and noticed how warm the room was. I checked the thermostat, and it was set to 68, but it did not seem to be cooling well. I debated for a bit but went downstairs to ask if I could switch rooms. As soon as I got downstairs, the girl was trying to help a very loud and agitated woman stating there were not enough beds in their rooms. After a while, a manager was on the phone with her and worked out an arrangement. I asked her if I could switch rooms since my AC was not working well, and she noted that they were overbooked by two rooms and nothing was available, but she would send up a maintenance worker. I said that was fine and went back up to wait. I waited about 30 minutes before I decided to go get dinner. I informed the girl I was leaving and that maintenance could go in. I came back from dinner and noted that it was still the same. I asked the girl again, and she noted that they shared the maintenance person with the hotel next door, and he was busy. I felt really bad for her as she was definitely trying. I went back to the room and resigned myself to staying there until I could find another hotel, as they were all booked for the day. I then noticed that the room was very worn and dated for a hotel that had "recently" renovated their rooms. The whole front part of the desk was ripped off and the toilet seat was not secure. The other problem is that the hotel was full of kids running up and down the halls. I finally found a hotel and checked out on the 2nd day, but not before a woman was screaming in the hall outside my door at 6am. As I stepped out to check out, I saw two police officers arresting this woman. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again.

There was no way to call down on a hotel phone for missing items because the phone is unplugged and not working. When I went downstairs for help, the front desk had a “be back soon handwritten note”. The front desk had one person working and maybe this person is in HS or college. Housekeeping was so slow snd just ok because there is no staff. The staff that is there tries really hard, but they need more help. There is no safe in the room.

Seriously?
