- E4606LIjd (8/5): Westin Panana - Located in the financial district with great views of the ocean and close to cafes and restaurants! Pool is up on the 15th floor outside. Very refreshing.Lovely lobby and staff. Air conditioning is very effective. Beds and pillows are comfy. Lavender oil was a special gesture for a good sleep.

La piscina no me pareció tan linda como aparecía en las fotos, creo que le falta más trabajo para que se vea un buen ambiente de piscina y quizas más limpieza en esa área.

The glass of the window covered couldn’t see outside. Requested room change. They ddid. Better view. Free fruit as apologies …. And a 4:40am alarm went off that interrupted my sleep

The guys at the reception desk were professional and very funny and knew where to send us for dinner. The room was HUGE and had a great view of the water and busy highway. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was big, but there was no light in the shower. The buffets were very good, especially the breakfast buffets! That was the best ever.

I would especially like to acknowledge Elizabeth, our waitress,who greeted and served us,every morning at breakfast.Even though we did not speak Spanish very well,she was very patient with us and available for whatever we needed. It was a joy to meet her.

- 17aliciat (6/5): Conveniently located, great staff but rooms need so upkeep. - The overall experience was a good one. The hotel is conveniently located in Panama City within walking distance or a short Uber to restaurants, business meetings, cafes, supermarkets, etc. The staff were really quite amazing and helpful. The onsite restaurant breakfast options were extensive. The only negatives were with my room itself. 1) There's a 3-pane landscape-oriented window but the middle pane was completely obsured with condensation and possibly mold and so I did not have a clear view out my window. 2) The mini fridge door was not hung properly and did not close properly. 3) There's a section where the tiled entry way meets the carpeted 'bedroom' area and the intersection of the two is quite sharp. Walking towards the tiled area one time and hit my toes against the somewhat exposed tile but luckily I did not get cut but it hurt a lot. So ambience wise in terms of the room, there left a lot to be desired but overall it was a convenient, good experience with friendly staff and public areas of the hotel nicely decorated.

The suite was clean and came with a lot of space Our 8th-floor suite was directly above the building's external A/C units, which were extremely noisy and disruptive. Traffic noise from the street was also noticeable despite the height. We were kindly moved to a 15th-floor room the next day, but the street noise remained surprisingly similar, and the in-room A/C rattled loudly (we had to turn it off). The rooms lack adequate soundproofing. Management handled the switch fairly and only charged us for one night, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, sleep was impossible, defeating the purpose of staying in a hotel. Overall rating: 0/10 for noise issues.

The pool is a joke, even though it’s situated on the top floor. hot tub cannot be used because it is inside the spa and you have to pay extra $35, which doesn’t make sense for this big of a hotel

- J5whols (10/5): Say hello to Franklin....! - This hotel is beautiful, immaculately clean, with...Best of all...the most helpful, kind, proactive and thoughtful staff. Franklin especially went above and beyond consistently...sharing his knowledge generously, anticipating customers needs, and meeting them. From taking photos for clients, managing luggage, recommending local restaurants, he especially made my stay run smoothly. Everyone else was lovely, big smiles, it really felt like a happy team which is so relaxing Breakfast was superb, and a brilliant opportunity to try Panamanian specialities. Even better, these changed daily, so became a dieters nightmare! Thanks to the chefs and servers. The area around the hotel seemed safe. The only potential slight issue was getting an uber back to the hotel from the old town due to traffic. Im reliably informed that was due to a dignitarys visit. I really hope to visit again, and would recommend the hotel to you wholeheartedly. Enjoy!

Upon check-in my travel agency payment wasn’t received but Leeann at the front desk was very accommodating, it was after hours and we wouldn’t be able to reach anyone till the next day. She graciously checked me in (as a repeat customer) and had everything sorted by the time I saw her the next day. I was tired from the journey; so this professional and welcoming touch was much appreciated. I also sprang for the business suite which I enjoyed, lots of room for rest and yoga and artwork which I like to do when on the move. Free happy hour for the suite was fun and generous. Thank you.
- MariB1698 (8/5): Just right for our trip! - Lovely hotel with comfortable beds and plenty of bathroom space. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous and the location is excellent for short excursions. The only minor issue is that the is only one choice for breakfast which is a full buffet at more cost than we normally spend for breakfast. There are restaurants very close by that help for choices though. We would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel Manager Andrea Gonzalez was amazing. Her choice for Eric at reception made an excellent difference with his attention to detail. The Spa operated by Liz was spot on. The true highlight was the restaurant Costa Nova in this Hotel. The Captain Gerardo Mosquera was top of his game. He is the reason the food there was fantastic. A great leader for an awesome team at Costa Nova. Visit this Westin Hotel and you will enjoy.

The junior suite was ample and impecable. The only negative is the terrible everpresent music at the dining room, it’s loud and inappropriate for that venue, complained the last time, but it’s still there, specially unpleasant in the morning at breakfast time

- damiond2015 (10/5): Friendly staff and a great stay - Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were super friendly and welcomed us with a drink at check-in, which was a nice touch. I got upgraded to a business suite and it was really comfortable with an amazing view. The gym was pretty packed in the mornings so I didn’t get to use it, but overall the stay was great and I’d definitely come back and recommend.

- jbernard1010 (10/5): Amazing stay - I would like to start of this review by saying that The Westing Panamá was one of the best stays I have experienced in recent years. The hospitality level is truly amazing and they truly made me feel like a family member. I now consider Panamá a second home for how warm and welcoming the people are. The hotel room was cozy, well-maintained, and very clean. Daily housekeeping service was also offered to which we come back after a long day of touring to relax. The hotel itself is 10 minutes away from through downtown area but it is very easy and accessible by taking either taxis or Uber. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were amazing! Not one day did I have neck pain or back pain and I am very happy about that! The food is also good and they have 24/7 In-room dining service which made it very easy if you have a late night craving! This was a best friend’s trip and we left truly satisfied. Our stay was from April 9th till April 15 2025. Having said all this, I would like to truly thank a few people that made the stay memorable. Upon check-in, Eric at the Front Office made it very easy with the information and recommendations and made sure that we were in good hands all throughout our stay. Hanna at the Front Desk was very helpful with the room changes and she made sure that I was accommodated early with my room switches when I had a new reservation started. She was always there with a smile. Last but not least, Isleny who was the Front of House attendant was truly sweet and caring. When. My friend was started to feel sick, she made sure that a tea was prepared very quickly to which my friend woke up the next day feeling better and a bit refreshed. She checked upon us the whole time, and I truly wished I stayed longer so we can engage in longer conversations about cultures, food, languages etc. To the amazing team of Food and Beverage, thank you for always making sure the food tasted fresh, even in the late hours when ordering in-room dining. I will definitely be back in Panamá and the Westin in the very near future just because of how warm and welcoming everyone is.

- PAT (6/5): - This is a nice hotel but the shower was cold for me but hot for my husband. The bathroom sink did not drain properly. There were stains on the wall near the toilet and it looked like someone had spilled coffee. The rooftop deck was very nice. We tried to check in early because we were dropped off at 11am but the room was not ready until 3pm which was disappointing. We found it hard to believe that the room was not ready with a 12pm check out time. Hotel is in a nice location and the staff is very friendly.
- BrazilACA (10/5): Upgrade - This is not an affordable hotel. Probably because it’s the only option in this specific part of town, more business oriented than tourism. The upgrade to the business suit was great and the room is super nice with all the amenities you’ll need. Service was also great and probably the first time I was offered a complementary upgrade proactively at check-in. Hope to return.

- rong1997 (10/5): Nice hotel at a very desirable location - I have stayed at many different Marriott hotels in Panama City, Panama area and the Westin at Costa del este has become my favorite now. In addition to the hotel amenities, location is what makes this hotel more desirable. It is within walking distance from many shops and restaurants. It has lots of curbside area perfect for walking/jogging. It is important to point out that compared to Panama City, Costa del este has much better infrastructure since it has been built 20 years ago. I would highly recommend Westin Panama.
- FiddleJoe (10/5): Just an amazing staff time and time again! - Wow, where do I begin? The staff in this hotel never ceases to amaze me. My wife and I just went through three days of hell with United airlines, lost luggage, same clothes for three days, just horrible as usual with the airlines. When I walked into the lobby two of the front desk people recognized us by name, asked how we were doing and managed to upgrade us to a suite. Then at the restaurant the host and our waiter greeted us by name. We only stay here 6-8 days per year but they always remember us. As always, I know I sound like a broken record, I am completely amazed at this place. If you need a hotel coming or going from the airport don’t screw around, stay at this Westin!
