- Henry (10/5): Great accomidation at an affordable price - The room was as advertised, had a mini fridge and kettle with separate kitchen facility available. The staff are friendly and approachable. Would definitely stay again next time i'm in Taupo. The parking is available onsite but does fill up quickly in the evening (plenty of on street parking so not a big problem)

- Paul (7/5): Fair price, adequate and acceptable room no excessive frills. - New beds had placed into the room so we were the first to use them. Beds were quite firm, acceptable for their role in motel hotel use I would suspect. Detailed cleaning was not the best but overall the room was clean and more than acceptable. Hosts were friendly and Polite. Also the lodge is perfectly placed to allow easy walk into the CBD plus some other establishments Super Cheap and Chemist Warehouse very close by. The price per night is pretty competitive too especially being close to the town centre Just small amounts of detailed cleaning in the bathroom/shower area. the TV was just national TV stations so pretty basic.

- Sheree (7/5): - Great location within town - 4 adults and 2 kids booked for our room and we were only given 2 towels for all of us. - Was told 2pm check in, wasn't allowed to check in until 2.45pm due to them still cleaning. - The bunk bed ladder was on wrong side of the bunk bed. It was on the side closest to wall, instead of on the same side of the bar to stop person falling off top bunk.

As much as lakefront would have been better location within Taupo was fine. Parking was limited & tight, had to park out the front away from entrance when coming back latish, would have preferred to be in ground floor unit, somehow got overcharged when booking online, 40% more than what we clicked on, tried to sort out with Booking,com but have given up, seems that they have no desire to make it right.

- Brendon (7/5): Pretty nice stay while in Taupo. - The bed was large and comfortable. The view from the Balcony was good - relative to where the Lodge is situated. One of the staff went out of his way to get me more Milk and sugar when requested. The Kitchen was close by to use as & when needed. Room 216 was a bit run down - tatty - and needed some repairs - and a improved bathroom. Hopefully it is on a list of rooms to be done up. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom. And the bath was old school. The shower was good though.

Rooms should be checked and supplied to be clean every day. We needed toilet paper after 2 days and there was no supply. Car Park was not sufficient; somebody was parking on the disable car park without a disable card displayed.

- Lynne (7/5): Convenient area and easy to find. - I liked the location and simplicity of the room. The barhroom did not appear as clean as it could have been (mainly the shower), however, the rest of the room was.

- lorraine (9/5): Its a go to - I do like this place it is easy to get to if you're walking or driving. It is quiet overnight and has all the amenities you need and not a bad price. The bed had broken springs and dips in the bed This room.was dirty and almost felt like it was a room they put out of service and stored all the faulty and unusable stuff in it or had as staff accommodation. Then, they rushed to put it in service because they had overbooked that night

There is barely a view on the lake, it's covered by haka house hostel. The room did not have a microwave. The "double bed" was just 2 single beds moved together so there was a uncomfortable crack in the middle.
