Par contre, accueil et qualité du service des personnes du management de l'hôtel très moyen et activités proposées très chères (sortie snorkeling min. 60$/pers - taxis 100$ pour Stone Town, taxes 10$/jour, etc.). L'accueil et le service de l'équipe de management : un groupe familial a été privilégié pendant tout le séjour (chaises à la plage réservée, restaurant réservé) au détriment des autres hôtes, générant une note très désagréable au séjour !

• Gregor (10/5): - Wir haben unsere Flitterwochen im Dhow Inn verbracht, 9 Nächte im grösseren Zimmer mit Privatpool. Wir hatten selten so eine tolle Küche...wir hatten aber auch das Glück,dass wir wenig Leute im Hotel waren und 5 von 9 Tagen A'la Carte bestellen durften,einfach Spitze. Auch das Buffet war gut,aber das A'la Carte Menü war sensationell...alle freundlich,sehr zuvorkommend. herausragend waren Happy, Issa und Salmin,welche uns in unserem All Inclusive Urlaub alle Wünsche erfüllt haben. auch der Zuständige des Spa,ein Ägypter, dessen Namen mir gerade entfällt,war immer für einen netten Plausch zu haben,meine Frau hat die Behandlungen sehr genossen. Es wurde denn ganzen Tag in der Anlage geputzt und auch die Toiletten waren top. die Katzen und Raben können ein bisschen nerven aber waren schmählerten in keinster Weise und Wohlbefinden. die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt...sehr gerne wieder,absolute Urlaubsempfehlung

• Belinda (8/5): - The rooms were spacious and very clean. The breakfast was nice with plenty of options. The pools were fantastic and plenty to choose from. I was travelling with a child so we would have liked to be able to have tea earlier than 7:30 and the turn down service needed to be earlier as most nights my daughter was well and truly ready for bed if not already in bed and we would have to leave the room while they sprayed.
• Steve (9/5): Fantastic hotel made even better by all the friendly staff. - All staff were very friendly and the quality of the food was great. On all inclusive just be careful what drinks you order as some are not included and you get given them even though you didn't order them then get a bill.
• Jean-Sebastien (9/5): Great location to relax and for kitesurfers - We liked the atmosphere. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Staff was very friendly. There are several pools which was very convenient. The buffet was very good and offering many options. The hotel is not beachfront. If you want to stay on the beach, there is a private area on the beach rented by the hotel for his guests at a walking distance from the hotel. The surroundings of the hotel (between the hotel and the beach) are not clean since it is a public area. Having said that, the private beach is very pleasant. We spent most of our time there. Bonus for kitesurfers, lessons and equipment are available at the private beach. It is an excellent spot.

The workers are so polite and helpful in any need coming up. The structure of the hotel is very unique in a way every few rooms have their own pool. The hotel beach is wonderful and the restaurant service on the beach is very good. There are two option for dinner: One is the buffe and the second is to order a place for the restaurant and get a very good 3 dish meal. I recommend coming to Paje area, and if you decided to come...book for Dhow Inn hotel. I promise you will enjoy 5 stars hotel. We came family of two parents and 3 teenagers and stayed at two rooms. The kids liked so much the hotel, they was very upset to leave. אחד המלונות הטובים ביותר שהייתי בהם אי פעם. אזור פאג'ה מרהיב, שקט יחסית לנונגווי, ומלא באטרקציות. העובדים כל כך אדיבים ועוזרים בכל צורך שמתעורר. מבנה המלון ייחודי מאוד בכך שלכל כמה חדרים יש בריכה משלהם. חוף המלון נפלא ושירות המסעדה על החוף טוב מאוד. יש שתי אפשרויות לארוחת ערב: האחת היא בופה והשנייה היא להזמין מקום במסעדה ולקבל ארוחה טובה מאוד בת 3 מנות. אני ממליץ להגיע לאזור פאג'ה, ואם החלטתם לבוא... הזמינו במלון Dhow Inn. אני מבטיח שתיהנו ממלון 5 כוכבים. הגענו משפחה של 2 הורים ו-3 ילדים, שהילדים היו עצובים לעזוב את המלון. ממליץ בחום!!! The mattress was very hard for me, so they have replaced it. I recommend to notify them the level of hardness you want the mattress before you come. The service was great by they react fast.

Cons about this hotel are that there is isnt much entertainment in the evenings, the service of drinks/food could be abit faster considering it is a small complex. Could have more (hot) food options for breakfast. But overall 8.5/10

Deux chambres de 3 personnes, grande, propre, eau chaude parfaite, moustiquaire mise en place le soir par le housekeeping, 4 piscines, excellent massage Anti Stress, salle de sport petite mais top, billard, buffet au petit déjeuner et le soir avec du choix! Plage privée… serviette pour la piscine, serviette pour la plage et serviette pour la douche… c’était super! On aurait aimé rester plus longtemps! Tout le staff était très souriant, on a vraiment apprécié cette fin de séjour dont on avait besoin! Merci aussi à Dennis! Rien à signaler tout était top
• Ella (9/5): Great facilities and rooms and best location - Great location, nice private beach, rooms are spacious and light, very comfortable bed and pillows, we had amazing sleep. Didn’t use any of the pools but they look nice. Hotel territory is big enough for evening walk during high tides. Also big thank you to the team for cake and special attention for our son birthday. Water from the shower is coming to the room. It’s not a big problem but maybe something hotel could look into.

• Lorin (10/5): Fabulous location, beautiful facilities, friendly staff, perfect for families. Truly paradise! - My family recently enjoyed a stay at Dhow Inn, and we couldn’t have had a nicer time. Everyone on staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing, pools felt very private and well-maintained, beach location was idyllic and the service was perfect. Rooms were very spacious, clean, well appointed and with comfortable beds. The excursions we booked through the hotel were also great - we snorkeled with sea stars, visited monkeys in Jozani National Park, and they even helped arrange our safari in mainland Tanzania. I hope we can visit again soon!

• Klemen (8/5): Peaceful hotel - Ala carte food was amazing. Hotel is near the beach and has all facilities you need. Nice and huge rooms, friendly staff, a lot of cats. You need to call reception for every filling up of small glass bottle of water because there is not allowed to bring your own water, food or drinks. After 10 pm you need also to pay for bottle of water (5000ths for 2 bottles) what we see very uncommon. Pools were not clean, our swimsuits colored yellow.

We could see that much effort has been put into establishing a high level of customer care & and professionalism, but still room to grow. Friendliness & smiles...10/10. Ground level rooms lack natural light & privacy curtains for daytime living. Following an upgrade, we can highly recommend the upper level rooms with terrace splash pool. This room made our experience all worthwhile. Although senior management appears to be driving a higher service delivery, we never saw them. There was zero customer interaction from management. All credit to the staff who did represent.

The a la carte was slow in service and 2 nights we had no availability for buffet - due to low occupancy, but still had to make a reservation for dinner - we found this weird. Not a fault of the property but we didn’t have the best experience in our Stone Town and Spice Farm tour - for the money - as our guide didn’t know anything about StoneTown.

The staff is so so friendly, they do everything they can for you to enjoy your stay. The hotel is extremely clean, they literally clean like 3 times a day. Complimentary water and coffee in the room which we loved. Great location. The pools are lovely and also very well maintained. The beach is breathtaking. The nearby town is such a vibrant place full of culture. We even visited the local school just about 100m from the hotel. I wish we could go back really! None <3

• Phuong (3/5): Not worth the money - The taxi drivers, nice cool people Not worth the money cause the resort/hotell doesnt have much to offer for the value. The staff was friendly but there was so many miscommunication and the all inclusive was not clear about what was included. You couldnt even use the beach cause the water was so far away during low tide. When it was high tide, we were afraid we were gonna hit the rock cliff. Dont accept free evening a la carte. It took us over an hour for just the appetizer. Then they changed a la carte for kids, they didnt get to choose from the same menu as us adults even tho we paid same price for our kids stay, as adults. Felt like we were robbed. Even the pool are much smaller than what it was shown on the picture. Always bugs in the water.

Something extra: we received one dinner at the a la carte restaurant which was lovely. The location is ok but it gets very warm at the pool because it's situated between buildings. This place is more for families and people of certain age and the price is a bit high.

Food is very average. definitely nit worth the money spent. it says also on booking.com that it is beech front, but in reality it is NOT on the beach, it is close to the beach. rooms overlooking the pools

• Daniel (5/5): Basic stay with good location; buffet shocking. - Location is good - set back a little from the beach but with easy access. Rooms were basic and the main pool was enjoyable to sit around. Don’t opt for full board! The food was appalling in the buffet; very little selection and most stations were empty. For breakfast, we were not warned about the birds stealing food from the table and the waiters were then rude towards us when this happened. We ate out of the hotel for all meals. The rooms are very basic and there is little to no privacy from people walking as there are no curtain nets be the curtains were practically see through. Staff weren’t really helpful and lacked effective customer service.
• Kai (10/5): Lovely zanzibar holiday - We love Zanzibar and have been many times but this was a new location. It was steps from the beach, it had a variety of pools to choose from, the staff were super helpful and attentive. On the day we left, our flight was late in the day. We checked out of the room and not only could we store our bags upfront, but they had a room where we could shower and change clothes before heading to the airport, all at no additional charge. Talk about service!! My only complaint was I was hoping for more of the traditional Tanzanian foods at breakfast. What they had was great but some chapati and mandazi would have been even better.

• Cecily (2/5): Very poor - I can't point out anything I liked about the hotel 1) Food, no variety in the buffet. Left with very few options. Both dinner and breakfast. 2) payment. We had to do 3 transactions due to hidden charges. We paid via card, this was charged at 5%, there were other taxes that had not been disclosed. 4$ per night. 3) location. The hotel environment is very dirty and alot of noise during the night. Music comes from the neighbourhood. 4) beach, its full of idle locals and traders. Making it very uncomfortable 5) staff. We met very discriminative staff. They gave priority and preference to the white guests.

• Luca (5/5): Overvalued - The hotel is good. The food buffet was good quality Food buffet had limited choice. The hotel beach is small and does not have sunbeds for all the guests. The road to go to the beach is dirty and full of rubbish; wven if this is not hotel responsibility it would make sense for them to clean it. We traveled with 2 kids aged 6 and 8 and the hotel is not offering any entertainment for them. One of the staff members was not polite and kids friendly at all, the children were playing with the water tap in the beach area( cleaning some shells from the sand actually) and this guy called Egon approached them in an aggressive way asking to leave immediately and notplay anymore.. Also during dinner time there some tiny lights on each table and the kids changed the color from white to blue, the same guy tokd them to stop because every table should have the same light colors, zero flexibility!! The hotel is good but the price is for a 5 star which it isn't. So it is overvalued.

My favourite breakfast and lunch and we tasted the sushi was amazing. We liked the room with pool on the terrace was gorgeous and intimate and quick to access. There is many nice pool to this place that can never get crowded. We liked the service of early and late check in as allowed and the invite for the special dinner on the new restaurant . Staff was honest as well about mismatch payment and resolve the issues in no time . I would appreciate if there was more work on the private beach as there is no WiFi and need more service support for drink/food delivery and more well set up as the beach space there is amazing . I also suggest to use a automatic curtain above the private pool in the room so even there is any rain happening the pool still well accessible privately and in comfort. Shower need some modernisation. But everything else covered well our stay .
• LEONA (6/5): - Our stay at the Dow Inn has been overall mixed feelings but more towards disappointing. I will lay out, the good, the bad and the ugly regarding this resort. First, food is very good, the buffet, to the lunch menu, well seasoned, very tasty and well presented fresh food. They have a great selection for vegan and vegetarians. The property is pretty nice very well maintained pools very clean and the rooms are very comfortable. The bad is that the items are quite limited in my opinion especially on the breakfast and dinner which are a small buffet. Furthermore during lunch you're only allowed to order one menu item and one dessert from a select menu only. limited overall. The ugly is that in comparison to all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean or for instance Dominican Republic you don't get a lot for your money. There no watersports included, there no shows, there's no organized games, there is no dance lessons so in comparison to the Caribbean it's just pretty much minimum. And if you're not much of a drinker then the all-inclusive is really a huge waste here being there so many items are considered a la cart or extra charge. Additionally, if your order from the bar outside of designated hours its also a charge. Even your room bar is only free upon check-in any refills of the 4 sodas or 2 bottle of beer is also a charge. We also paid extra for a room with a private pool and the word "private" was used very loosely.kids and their parents were able to see us
• Judit (10/5): - Das Personal war sehr freundlich und höfflich. Strand in unmittelbarer Nähe und sehr schöner Strand. Das Essen war sehr gut und das Hotel sauer. Eine tolle Erfahrung.
• Roland Petrus (8/5): - Als het goed is ga je een tweede keer. Alles was goed: het weer, de natuur, de mensen. De accommodatie is ook zeer goed bevallen: prettig en vriendelijk personeel en een goede keuken. Het verblijf voldeed aan de verwachtingen. Het boeken van excursies was in goede mate aanwezig met vervoer vanaf Dhow Inn
• Zulu (6/5): Beautiful place, but I was hungry!! - Pleasant & helpful staff. Generally clean place (the grounds, rooms & dining areas). Beautiful views Those napkins need to be replaced or washed properly. Certain things are not up to par for a five star hotel. Firstly, provision for shower caps need to be made available. Secondly, there isn't a variety of foods from the menu (if you don't eat sea food, you'll have a choice of grilled chicken/beef burger/vegetarian salad for lunch & dinner everyday). Where is the lamb or goat curry? What about serving lasagne bolognaise? This was one of the worst places I've eaten. The chef & menu were completely disappointing for me. If your ordering from the restaurant, order well inadvance because the service is slow & you'll wait forever and a day. The dining area is no place for pets/Cats, it's unsanitary!!
• Bente (10/5): - Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet. Fint hotell og veldig hyggelige ansatte. God frokost og middagsbuffet.

• Michaela (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. Pools were beautifully clean. Our room had a beautiful view and clean. Will definitely visit again!

• Kerim (4/5): - Negativ. Wlan im Zimmer ist Katastrophe. Privatpool wurde nie gereinigt und ist immer voll mit Insekten. All in Clusive bekommen eine Speisekarte mit wenig Auswahl. Im allgemeinen ist die Anlage etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Privater Strand ist nicht direkt am Hotel.

• Aisha (5/5): Passable - Quick check-in Basic toiletries only soap bar and shampoo. We expected at least cream. Salty water in the shower does not wash off soap easily

• Nikhil (7/5): Not value for money - Proximity to the beach The level of cleanliness, the options for food were very limited. The cleaning service was always late, damp towels would lie around and the whole room would be damp. The showers had no doors and generally the rooms were poorly designed.
