Guest Reviews
- Taruna (10/5): - Clean room, good location, staff friendly, nreakfast good.
- Alexander (8/5): - A good hotel, but I wouldn't give it 5 stars. Very large rooms, a very large pool. The service was nit 5 star, same iv valid for the breakfast. Not so good as other 5 star hotels in the area, but also much cheaper. Allover very good for the price.
- Jessica (10/5): - Overall, this place met all of our needs. It was clean and tidy, pool was great and staff were friendly.
- Cherine (8/5): - Great value for money, but dont't expect a 5 star experience. The real 5 star aspects are the enormous, clean and modern pool and the staff. The included buffet breakfast was plentiful but the quality was not 5 star quality. The restaurants were almost empty for dinner. I was grateful for being upgraded to a Deluxe room, but it lacked adequate air con - just a fan really and the control panel was not operating to provide cool air. I could not use the balcony or open the door as there was an alarming sign on the door warning of "monkey strike". The facility is next to a deep forest and I saw many monkeys roaming in groups near a food mart and walkways, which was a bit intimidating and affects the confidence of a tourist walking and exploring the surrounds. Apparently, monkeys climbing onto buildings stealing food and objects from hotel rooms is a known thing. From the concierges to reception to restaurant all staff were always friendly and ready to help. The shuttle service to the beach and "Bali collection" helped with transport in a relatively isolated location. Geger beach is a must, with masseurs, eateries, a few shops, and beach lounges. Cash only. Shuttle service seemed limited but adequate for low season. Overall, I would recommend it if you want to be far from traffic, crowds, and lots of souvenir shops, and yet want a very comfortable chilled and affordable experience, whether you are solo, couple or young family traveller.
- DILIP (10/5): - Staff extremely polite and always greeting everyone. Always smiling and on hand to help. Clean large rooms.
- Kim (10/5): - The overall service of the staff they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, if they didn't have something they would get thank you
- jean (6/5): - Was ok for the price, hotel not busy, bedding seem dated, terrible dining experience every single dish we got was a disappointment... Breakfast wes the only good thing.... Won't be back..
- Sandeep (6/5): - Works were being carried out for upkeep of property so a bit noisy. Staff were helpful and friendly.
- Martin (10/5): - Great property, don’t listen to others saying negative stuff. Most 5 stars in area want $1000 a night. This was about $100 great deal
- Kim (10/5): Wished I could extend stay - Delighted with modern, comfortable room, attentive, professional service and beautiful pool, restaurant areas, sumptuous breakfast.
- michael (10/5): - Quiet, clean, and friendly staff.
- Winarsih (8/5): Great Stay within walking distance to Geger beach - I had a pleasant stay. The hotel features a large swimming pool and is conveniently located near my favorite, Geger Beach. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the management could improve the floor cleaning quality. Additionally, a small clothes rack on the verandah for hanging swimwear would be beneficial. Otherwise, everything was perfect, including the friendly staff.
- Louise (10/5): - Super friendly staff
- Ashiq (6/5): - The public areas were amazing and so was the breakfast buffet.
Our room smelt like sewage with the smell coming from the toilet. The Hotel was nice enough to try and get rid of the smell but it came back the second night we were there.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.
- Mark (10/5): - Unbelievable value for money -- big property, nice rooms with lots of amenities. Close to beach clubs and other outings. Really nice staff.
I will be going back for some weekends, for sure.
- Tommy (8/5): 2 Nights stay, 1 king bed with huge soaking tub - Check in was easy, organized and prepared with my reservation info printed out. Luggage delivered directly into
Room while I went out.
Bed sheets and linens were nice and clean.
3 stars comes from issues with tub drain wasn’t able to release the water, inside the surrounding floor of the show was bad caulking and a lot of black mold. There were two shower towels, one seemed pretty clean, the other had stains and didn’t seem clean.
Furniture was dated and Dull. and tv screen was tilted up due to bad setup, but worked
Overall good size room, didn’t have any chance to explore anymore of the hotel as I was out for the day and stayed only 2 nights
Also, had issues with my keycard after the first night.
Went to
- Ramil (10/5): - Highly recommended. Cute affordable luxury hotel in Nusa Dua. The staff are superb!
- Derek (10/5): - Was in a nice quiet area.
- Maria Natividad (10/5): - Best Hotel esp for the price. Nothing to complain
- Janet (10/5): - The Vouk hotel and suites are absolutely AMAZING. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are so beautiful and most importantly, the staff are all sooo nice. It made my solo stay really welcoming. It's isolated from shops and convenience stores though so I spent a lot of my spending money on taxis to Kuta/Seminyak town centre and back each day. Very expensive.
- Igor (8/5): - Overall hotel facilities were fine. Although a little run down. Upstairs coffee lounge was closed due to lack of guests.
15 minute walk to the beach. But for the price, was great value.
- Hao (8/5): - Too many mosquitos in the dining room.
- Mukeshjung (10/5): - Awesome stay at really good price. Best stay in Bali so far.
- Stephanie (6/5): - Lots of pros and lots of cons.
Pros
Breakfast was fresh and we could order eggs how we liked them
Breakfast staff were friendly and got to know our order which was a nice touch
Upgraded to suite
No one else around the pool all day, we had the choice of lounger
Gardens were always very presentable and well looked after by staff
The hotel was generally clean.
Fresh fruit bowl, bottled water and mini bar in room
Pasek who worked at the bell desk would take you to the beach/shops whenever you wanted to
Cons
Huge renovations to the lobby, walkway and one of the restaurants which we were not made aware of before or after booking
Hot molten metal dripping through the roof of the breakfast dining area because of building work above
Pillows on the sofa in the suite had stains on them and were discoloured
The shower would not drain and flooded the bathroom once and then nearly a 2nd time even after staff had ‘cleared’ the issue
Being woken up by 6 buses, shouting drivers, reverse beepers and keeping the engines running every morning to take all the Chinese guests on day trips
We were the only western guests and this can be a pro and a con at the same time.
Once the hotel was full of people, our toilet began to smell.
All other staff who worked at the bell desk wouldn’t take you anywhere on the shuttle because it wasn’t the right time in the schedule. Even though no one else was around to use it?
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It's a beautiful property, spacious rooms, friendly staff etc. We received a room upgrade, airport transfers, they really were great. You need transport for everywhere as it is a little too far to walk to the more lively restaurant areas. You also need to pre book and sauna or steam room sessions as they take 15 mins to warm up. They are the only slight inconveniences
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff--always happy to help
Free mini bar replenished daily
Complimentary massage offered due to inconvenience
Free shuttle to and from airport
Regular complimentary shuttle to bali Collection
Nice big swimming pool
- AIKO (10/5): Love Bali - All good
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nude Dude in Nusa Dua - The experience could’ve been better. On the one hand the staff is very friendly. However, there was a bit of confusion upon arrival because there was no vehicle to pick me up and I was unable to reach anyone at the hotel by email or phone. So I took a taxi. Checking in was easy but after a long day, I just wanted to rest without interruption so I put the do not disturb sign on. However, while I was in the shower a housekeeper came in anyway. While standing naked in the shower, I had to explain to him that he needed to come back to service the room. Again, he was real nice but I was shocked that it happened.
Like a number of resorts in Nusa Dua, this is probably best for those traveling with family or small groups. A bit far from the action, but that’s what I was looking for this time around.
- Michelle (4/5): Don't bother unless you're chinese. - This is the 4th time I've stayed at this resort. It had changed ownership/been rebranded twice since. Unfortunately it's now targeted directly to the chinese. We were the only non Chinese there. We were literally pushed around in the buffet, had them banging on our door at all hours (kept getting the wrong room) and had them screaming in the pool beside our room until late at night. The resort is beautiful but little things were annoying like very very slow service around the pool (given buzzer to push but no one came twice), waterfall into pool so loud you have to yell to the person beside you, no paper menus/conpendiuim in room (everything on tablets which didn't work properly), tv remote really hard to use (couldn't turn tv off as button didn't work), aircon wouldn't adjust so cold all the time. Buffet only designed for asian cuisine (had to ask the chef for a piece of bacon. Such a shame as the resort itself is beautiful and the staff are very friendly but just not as good as it used to be. Definately wouldn't bother unless you're chinese.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great hotel but needs lots of improvement - The rooms are great and spacious. It was also clean and have good amenities. Hotels has great pool and cool view. The only downside is the slow service and hotel management. Breakfast and room service were slow. Lots of food tray left empty and it took time to get it refiled even though we were there at 8 AM and breakfast is served till 10AM and there were tour group stayed in the hotel. Charges 100k for extra room key, the management is not helpful and didnt show themself when there was an issue with check in. Things were not communicated well between the sales team and the Front office, and rather let the FO deal with problem. Overall the stay was so so but not going to reccomend it for a group trip and will not stay at this hotel again next time.
- Jenny1110 (10/5): Nice hotel - Breakfast was good n pool was also good
All staff was kind
Recommend :)
- JP (10/5): Very good amenities especially the pool - Clean room, good furniture, Attentive staff.. I enjoyed the pool and the gym though it's lacking with equipment.
- hengkyanto (4/5): stealing doormate and bathrobe??? - Honestly i dont know where to start.. too much dissapointmeent. The Loudspeaker was next to our room. You can hear the bass even at the lowest volume 24/7 it just like a vibrating mobile phone. room was dirty, wallpaper mostly peeled off, balcony was sooo dirty, water was stinky when we first turn on the tap and it was splashed to my face on the first place yuckkk, and the hotel were under renovation and sooo noisy, but no notice until we paid for it and staying there. When we checked out, the were blaming us stealing their bathrobe and doormate seriously??????? But the cleaner didnt replace it when they make up the room, then They force us to pay untill we show and open up all our luggage for them to check. And they are really checking into it.. i mean, really??? but Nothing was found offcourse, then they let us go, but it was sooo embarrasing.we rented a bike for 100k/day from the hotel, but it outsourced from some old local guy with an very old bike which has no power at all to went uphill, seriously??? Poor... poor...... the only good this is only the food.. staffs are welcoming when we arrived and some complimentary choc and my name was written on the leave in the room, thats some plus point. But overall... 2stars is good enough.. if they are renovating, i hope they will improve in a lot of ways.
- Pauline (8/5): Good hotel - Staff were friendly, rooms were modern, wifi great
- Evelyn (10/5): Fabulous holiday - We were at this hotel for 16 days. We were very happy with the everything and can't wait to return.
The staff were fabulous and would go the extra mile to ensure customers were happy.
Hotel is located out of the main village but getting a taxi was no issue. Courtesy bus to the beach and shopping also provided.
- Evelyn (10/5): Fabulous getaway - We had a fabulous time at Vouk. Very relaxing and staff are friendly and very helpful?
- Evelyn L. (10/5): Fabulous holiday exoerience - We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Booked in for 11 days and enjoyed every minute of it!
Flights home have been cancelled and it is no issue to extend on a daily basis! Wonderful service!
Staff very friendly and go above and beyond to ensure customers are happy.
Would recommend this hotel to everyone! Will definitely be returning....once we get to go home that it! Lol
- Garrett (10/5): Best Service in Bali - Truly enjoyed my stay at this property. Buildings need a little cosmetic touch ups, but the Staff was truly incredible, especially Ulan at the front desk. She is one in a million. Great personality and service. All other employees we encountered...security, porters, groundskeepers, wait and kitchen staff, etc, were all so pleasant, courteous and professional. I am planning to return to Bali next year and will definitely book my room at the Puri Nusa Dua again.
- rose retired (4/5): Poorly maintained hotel. - Breakfast and staff very good. The pool was lovely the rest needs work.
- lesley (8/5): close to the beach, - traveled with kids. kiddie friendly pool but nice & relaxing for adults too. Free tuk tuk service to beach & back every hour, at beach free lounges & umbrella's for guests. Can buy massage drinks & food at beach too.
Staff super friendly and helpful with things to do. My child was sick in entrance after a tour, this was no trouble for them to clean up, they even called room later to ask if she is was OK & even offered advise for her recovery, very sweet.
breakfast hot food changed daily.
- Verified traveler (8/5): An acceptable hotel - you get what you pay for. - Although the location is further away from the main Nusa Dua centre, I like the tranquillity and greenery around the hotel. There aren't any shops or restaurants close-by so either eat in the hotel restaurant (I had dinner there once - Beef Rendang and was very satisfied with the quality and quantity) or take the free van shuttle to Bali Collection where there're lots of choices. Geger beach (go by free shuttle or walk for 20 mins)is a lot more appealing than Nusa Dua beach which is near Bali Collection.
- Joseph (8/5): - We had problem with shuttle to Bali Collection. Is to far to walk and no near shoping sentre to have dinner and shopping.
Shuttle coming alwayes full and people don't know what to do.
With respect
Joseph & Elizabeth
- Aij-Lie (8/5): Nice hotel with big and clean room - We stay for 4 days with 8 rooms, every body happy with the big and clean room, breakfast good in this price, friendly staff, but baggage transport is not convenient , hotel staff must help to dissolve this problem , even they TF us we can carry our baggage using the elevator in the side door, but too small road, it is difficult to stop there even only for dropping the baggage, and hotel staff not helping in this part, unfortunately!
- JaxNMana (8/5): Good experience - My hubby and I, along with our 11mth baby stayed here for three days. We had a great experience. Staff were helpful and nothing was ever a prob.
Food was great, buffet breakfast everyday and we also had a buffet BBQ dinner the night we arrived, it was amazing!
We both went to Chakra Spa, very good massage and facial, slightly more expensive than treatments in town.
Went for a look at Bali collection, we really liked the laid back atmosphere. Took the shuttle to Greger beach. This was good, not too busy, day beds and umbrellas, food available which directly contributes to Local economy rather than massive hotels.
Used laundry service, ended up with the cleanest clothes we've ever had. Very impressive.
Only negative feedback would be that they need to clean their showers better as there was mould in the corners.
Overall was a very satisfying stay here. Thanks to the awesome staff at Puri Nusa Dua. If u are looking for a laid back place to take your family, Nusa Dua is the place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Very helpful and responsive staff.
- Jason Lim (4/5): Hotel in need of maintenance! - When it rains, the whole hotel is leaking, but not in my room. Floors are wet. Breakfast is fantastic, but DO NOT go for their lunch or dinner because their food are not edible. Hotel staffs are very friendly which I like the most. Rooms are also in need of renovation, the toilet disperse some sort sewerage smell every time I use it, also permanent wear and tear on tile walls and floor, one of our rooms got the wallpaper peeled off. Swimming pool is excellent, no complains about that.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a good hotel to stay - I was first provided worst room with water leaking from the wall. On my complaint they shifted me to another room. However still the rooms were not clean. No play area for kids. Can't make phone calls to outside.
- kate (10/5): Nice hotel - Friendly, good breakfast, AMAZING MASSAGE , convenient, had a lot of transfers, safe, room smelt a iut funny like wet towel, air con was good, balcony was nice would recommend it to anybody really lovely made my experience in Bali really worth while.
- julian (10/5): Quiet spot - Hotel in a quiet spot lovely pool. Staff extremely helpful. Taxi easy to get and will only cost 3 bucks anywhere in Nusa Dua. Lots of restraunts nearby. Dont let concierge book seafood dinner for you. They send you on a 40 min trip and restraunts more expensive than Australia. Trip to kuta will cost around 15 bucks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good - nice
- rangitukia (10/5): the puri hotel - It was so beautiful I highly recommend the puri great staff they are so friendly beautiful accommodation stunning views, beautiful layout. The pool was awesome and I can't forget the free international buffet every morning it was everything and more and can't wait to go back thankyou so much
- Penny (8/5): - Facilities: Typical; Value: Moderate; Service: Friendly, Courteous; Cleanliness: Tidy;
Awesome rooftop Pavillion with views which was the setting for my sisters vow renewal reception.
- Samantha (8/5): Away from the busy Kuta - it was lovely to stay at the resort apart from the peoples who suppose to clean out room never do. so i always have to ring them up and get them to clean our room which is not good enought! Wasnt happy with that! If they did i would rate a better star!
- Rob (8/5): Good value for a beach holiday - Stayed January 26 to Feb 6 2015, off season rate was about $85/nt. Best things about this hotel are the exceptional staff - very friendly and helpful, the super comfy beds, the breakfast (buffet with lots of good choices) and the pool (plenty of shaded areas to get out of the sun in the daytime). I think that the service, breakfast and pool were even better because the hotel was nowhere near full.
'Could be better' would include the housekeeping, and the building fits and finishes and building maintenance e.g. the shower drain was rough cut in the floor with a tile covering instead of a stainless steel insert and the shower was not sloped properly, door trim needs stain etc. Not a big deal if you are just looking for a comfy place to hang your hat while enjoying all that Bali has to offer!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice hotel, close to the beach - Me and my family were very happy about the hotel and the staff is very friendly and helpful and polite.
Thanks
- Jo (8/5): Comfortable rooms, pool area relaxing - Restaurant prices for dinner are quite high, portion sizes are small however food was fresh and tasty
Staff in Rasa restaurant particularly Au, Ruth and Rati were extremely friendly, professional and welcoming at all times
Room was comfortable, clean and housekeeping kept my room spotless at all times.
My only complaint is I found the Assistant Manager to be unprofessional towards hotel guests
- Pammo (6/5): Quiet hotel nice pool - Check in at 3pm we arrived just after told our 3 rooms were not ready had meal in restaurant had to go get our own luggage which was still down front of hotel when our rooms were finally ready. Toilets near restaurant not very clean. Hotel bit secluded need to get taxi everywhere or try and catch shuttle bus which seemed to be full when it got to our hotel. Daughters room had a few minor issues which when advised they fixed straight away and filled up her mini bar as compensation. Pillows were to die for
- June614 (8/5): Not bad - No access to beach. Room facility is good but hotel is old. Staff are very friendly. Food average...very average
- Verified traveler (6/5): You Get What You Pay For - The stay at Puri Nusa Dua was pleasant
Although the hotel does need a little attention to it's restaurant , the food was very low standard.
The pool was beautiful , ideal for a relaxing holiday which we wanted.
- Ace (6/5): Experience in nusa dua bali - Our hotel was a bit far from town and so if you intend on staying at a relatively cheap but comfy and cosy hotel such as the puri, be prepared to spend more on transport fees! It would be wise to hire a driver as it would be cheaper and much more convenient. If you do not wish to spend on a driver, you can also ask the hotel to call a metered taxi for you, which I believe is much more affordable and worth compared to using the hotel taxi(no matter how they try to convince you). Metered fares to kuta legian should be around 100-150k idr while the hotel taxi service charges around 180-190k and this excludes the toll fee of 10k that you have to pay.
Regardless, it was an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Pretty near geger beach which was. A beautiful and relaxing place. Unfortunatel, only shopping area near there is bali collection with prices that are typical of tourist hot spots.
- Sumit (8/5): Easy access to all facilities.. - Staff were very friendly and polite..
Rooms were clean and cosy
- Verified traveler (8/5): excellent - Very good hospitality and service provided !
- Dave (10/5): - Facilities: Modern, Great pool and restaurant; Value: Economical, Very good value ; Service: Go the extra mile, Really friendly staff; Cleanliness: Gleaming, Immaculate, Really clean;
Rooms are a lot bigger than most Bali hotels in this price bracket and well appointed.
- Verified traveler (4/5): There is no reason to choose this hotel - I would not recommend this hotel.
Everything is so shabby and you cannot enjoy Bali atmosphere at all.
I was on business and had a conference nearby, so it was OK for me.
If you want to stay Nusa Dua (quiet area), I strongly recommend to pay more, or choose other area for your stay.
- AussieTravellerz (8/5): Perfect Stay - We stayed at The Puri Nusa Dua for 3 days for a get away prior to staying in busy Kuta for remaining of them stay.
The Hotel was beautiful, clean and just awesome. The staff were very helpful and kind.
The rooms were outstanding, we stayed in a deluxe room with a bath and a balcony - was fantastic, cannot fault it.
Only downfall would be location - being Nusa Dua it is away from most attractions of Bali. For a young couple like us maybe a bit to quiet. However, still a beautiful place to stay for a day or two.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Facilities: Good, Modern; Value: Amazing; Service: Flawless, Remarkable, Outstanding; Cleanliness: Immaculate, Pristine;
- Deni (8/5): The Puri Nusa Dua - Lovely place, fantastic staff very accomodating been twice now and would'nt hesitate to go back again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice - It was good. Nice and clean hotel with swiming pool and rastuarent. Nice food and a very good and helpful staff
- Ellen (6/5): an OK hotel - The hotel is located in the middle of nowwhere, not a very convenient place, except it is not far from Geger Beach which is very nice, clean, not crowded. People who want to go to town to eat or shop around have to take the shuttle bus. The atmosphere at the hotel somehow makes us feel cold, in sharp contrast with The Kana hotel at Kuta where we also stayed for a couple of days. We were very impressed by the kindness and always-smile attitude of the Kana hotel staff, makes us feel very warm. Unfortunately we don't feel the warmness here at Puri. And the food is just so so. It is a clean and quiet hotel, the room is spacious.
- Margaret (8/5): relaxing experience - My daughter and myself arrived at hotel after an early flight. We had heard of the traffic noise and as they where going to put us in a front room we asked could we be placed around the pool area. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a relaxing 5 night break.
Only gripe was we had to get taxis every time we wanted to leave the hotel, there was a hotel shuttle bus but it always seemed to be full.
- Kim (6/5): Isolated - Staff are the best thing about the resort! Wonderful, so helpful & friendly, very professional. Great food & service in the restaurant. However, the resort is quite isolated & surrounding environment looks like the Aussie scrub - agree with other reviews about very poor workmanship in the rooms & unfinished aspects of the resort. Toilet didn't flush properly, air con not the best. We paid for 9 nights & checked out after 2, due to location and the facility itself, seriously nothing within walking distance & certainly not reflective of Bali's culture.
- Lawrence (8/5): 7 nights in the Puri Nusa Dua - Great Hotel with great staff and very nice room(King)
Excellent breakfast and first class pool
We will go back and stay there.
A little out out the way but we liked that so maximum damage for this is some very
cheap Taxi fares and loads of free shuttle services anyway
- Christine (10/5): Nice Hotel for adults - Stayed beginning of Oct 2014. It was fairly quiet at the time of our visit. One wedding was held during our stay, but they were in a separate area of the hotel, so we did not feel like intruders. Beautiful pool. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice open air restaurant. Not very close to the shops, but the hotel has a free shuttle bus going to the beach and the shopping centre. Not much to do for children, but we are a retired couple, so that suited us. We had some problems paying with our credit card, but this was due to a bad internet connection, we got it sorted out in the end.
- Jacey (4/5): Disappointing Experience - On 4/9/2014, we check in to Puri Nusa Dua late in the evening. My friend was the first person to use the bathroom. We heard sound of throwing up and asked her why, she mentioned about the stinks. Upon checking, we found it was from the floor drainage at toilet bowl area n also there was no hot water (shower head). We called Housekeeping n two engineering guys came. We mentioned about the smelly floor drainage to them. BTW you don't need anyone to tell you about the smell. We would have wanted to change room but the hotel was full. And we had to bear d smell whenever we used the bathroom and the door had to be closed all the time, or else, the offensive smell could literally suffocate us all. Seriously, I couldn't 'breathe' when I took my shower/use toilet. Good thing we brought along insect spray with 'serai' fragrance n this helped. Upon check out at Front Desk, I highlighted to the female staff about the stinks n commented that the room should be blocked under maintenance to rectify the defects n also asked her to get the general manager to see the room. One would not expect this from a 4.5 star luxury resort??? Very disappointing!!!
- Balivisitor (6/5): Nice hotel for budget conscious - We had a short stay at Puri Nusa dua. The hotel is very nice & clean. Staff was really helpful. Hotel I bit far , but it was easy to go around in their private shuttles. Initially we were bit scared looking at some bad reviews, but found nothing like that. It is really a nice, comfortable hotel to stay. Loved the buffet breakfast .
- nick and anna (8/5): Good hotel for the price - Good hotel overall good service friendly staff does need some maintenance exterior of hotel as three is lot of water damage but then it is the tropics me and my wife found a little to quite maybe stay there for 3 or 4 nights then move, Great beach nearby which they offer free shuttle
- Kay (8/5): Nice hotel, but average location - The hotel is good to stay and reasonably priced, but there is not really anything within walking distance, ie. you have to catch a shuttle or taxi to beach, restaurants, massages, shopping, etc...and the guys at the front desk are real control freaks - but transport is cheap ($2.50 taxi into town, if the free shuttle is full). The pool is nice, although it can get noisy. Great Wifi internet access. Breakfast was good - as long as you don't need hot, strong coffee to get going. The cleaner sometimes forgot to top up/replace items, eg. toilet paper, soap, towels - but you just had to ask. Overall we quite enjoyed this place and the comforts it offered.
- Petro (8/5): taking to account price, hotel is good - Quite good hotel, did not like location
- Nicole (8/5): Nice hotel , very Mediterranean - Great spa, particularly Eda was wonderful . Hotel service workers wonderful and very helpful .
- MHTan (4/5): Short stay - Am surprised that this hotel is rated 4*,as it is more like a 2*...the only nice thing about this hotel is the pool..
Room have lots of mosquites, bed mattress is uneven..not comfortable to slèep,wake up with a sore neck...
Will not recommend anyone...
- daphne (6/5): Try this hotel if you are on budget. - The outlook of the hotel is nice & beautiful but when look into details in the room, the workmanship is very poor & you can't imagine this is a hotel standard.
The hotel have hourly transport to the beach & there is a shuttle pick up to the Bali Collection.
- emko88 (10/5): Amazing value! - The hotel was in a great location, really friendly staff and amazing value for what you pay for. Rooms were comfortable & clean and the ambiance was peaceful and relaxing. Only a short trip to Geger beach which is has the clearest blue water I've ever seen. You can lounge under the deck chairs and umbrellas at the beach club for free as a Mantra hotel guest. Order cocktails, food and get massages on the beach.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average Stay - While this hotel had a nice pool out of all the hotels we stayed in Bali this was our least favourite.
The hotel was run down and needed lots of attention to detail.
The rooms were nice but when looking at the final details the cleanliness wasn't up to standard.
The sheets and towels were all stained and our room and luggage became infested with ants.
- MGoh (6/5): Good service but not a beachfront hotel - Overall the stay at the hotel has been ok. Staff are very nice and helpful. Hotel needs maintain on the overall look and housekeeping should check rooms for ants. We had to change our room 3 times due to ants found crawling around the rooms as well as wifi in the 1st 2 rooms were not working. Breakfast spread is limited. Hotel pool is very nice. Great that the hotel has car to bring guests to Bali Collection Center, Discovery Mall at Kuta and to Gerger Beach. If one is looking for a beachfront hotel then this is not.
- Lolita De Costa (10/5): Lovely Hotel, Lovely People - This is a really good hotel for the money that you pay. There is a free shuttle service yo take you to the bali collection and the beach. The beach is about a 20 minute walk, but it is down roads which are inhabited by dogs, monkeys and the occasional large lizard or 2, so if you are not keen on wildlife then take the bus. The staff at the hotel are really lovely and the breakfast selection is good. The only negative point is that the exterior of the building is not good, with flaking pain and poor workmanship on show. However for the money paid this hotel provides a really good base , good rooms and pleasant staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): We had a fantastic time the staff were fantastic - Had the best time will be retuning to the mantra, the staff were fantastic, the food was lovely and the room was more than comfy
- paula (8/5): was lovely - lovely hotell and staff was a fit out of the way so needed transpot all the time butthe transport was either free or very cheap and easy to come by i would stay there again
- andy kim (10/5): Very good stayed. - I stayed to 2night.
All everything is very good.
Good staff and good conditions.
I will use to mantra hotel again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok hotel but not in a very good location - Arrived really late and hotel didn't have our Expedia booking.
We were lucky to get a room that they has to clean for us.
They found our reservation the following day
The hotel is not in a good location, better to stay at Sofitel, Westin, Laguna etc.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Ridiculously comfortable beds - Impeccable service. Room aircon was very cold though - even at 27 degrees. The balcony had a day bed which had stains on it. But still, overall a pleasant stay.
- Grant (8/5): Good, smaller resort in Nusa Dua - Nice hotel, with friendly staff and good facilities for a small resort. The building is showing a bit of age, even though it is relatively new. It is a little out of the main Nusa Dua area, but restaurants would still offer free drop offs after dinner.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice resort! but... - Hotel was nice ... the room wasclean. Bed was very comfortable. Service was great! When we checked, they put on a room in which the bathroom wasn't quite clean ... so we asked to be moved and they accepted right there. Everyone was always smiling and helpful . Breakfast was pretty good . they kept continouslty refilling what was consumed Spa was just great! We had one of the best massages ever!Thumb up on that! The shuttle service was well appreciated. The only thing that we really had a big concern with is the strong sewer smell in the bathroom. They really need to do something about it.Taking a shower was a real hussle for us. The same smell existed in many areas on the resort. Also Wifi isn't that good.
- Amitabha (8/5): Nice Hotel to stay - We enjoyed staying at Mantra very much. The hotel is very clean and properly maintained. The swiming pool in the hotel is very good and worth mentioning. The breakfast provided in the morning is awesome. The hotel staffs are always smiling and willing to help you in any regards. It was a very pleasing experience staying in there.
- Patrick (8/5): The staff make this hotel special. - I needed somewhere to work and the Mantra provided a good sized room with wireless internet. It was great to be able to have a swim in the pool or a massage after working all day. The food was good, especially the breakfasts; try the home made brown bread. However, the dinner menu remained unchanged throughout my 6 night stay and it became a little monotonous. The hotel is relatively new but the buildings which house it are showing signs of water damage due to poor finish on the external surfaces of the structure.
- watertay (8/5): Good Value Hotel - Great price for a good hotel. Friendly staff, rooms are clean, new and relatively big. Theme is modern and minimalistic.
- jessie (6/5): hard selling - Location quite a distance from amenities and beach. Also during check in the guys tried to sell us better rooms instead of bringing us to our room directly.
- Gina and Gerry (10/5): Vey nice hotel a bit further from the beach - The staff are very friendly and there breakfast are extremely good and really amaze of their selection of food there pool are very large and beautiful and the room are also very nice so as the toilets
- MMMM (8/5): Good value for money - I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We found a really good deal so we decided to stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially with our toddler, who would be a little difficult during meal times, and the staff were more than happy to take care of him while we ate. The rooms were modern, clean and nice. Some parts of the hotel did look run down but I think only because they used the wrong paint around wet areas. The massage at the hotel was amazing. Food was great, but only downside was that there was only 1 restaurant, and eating at the restaurant had a smaller menu then the room service. Also happy hour only applied to alcoholic drinks, and as we don't drink it was very disappointing to single out non-alcoholic drinkers.
Location is a little secluded but there is a shuttle to bali collection every hour, and to discovery in the morning and return in the afternoon, so wasn't too bad. Also, there is a new bridge to Kuta so it doesn't take that long to get there.
All in all, this was a good value for money hotel.
- s (8/5): Nice hotel. excellent staff. clean. good shuttle - Nice hotel. excellent staff. clean. good free shuttle service to mall, beach, and shopping. Away from noise of other parts of Bali. Restaurant is OK. Pool very large and clean. We will stay again. We will recommend to anyone.
- Nick (10/5): A 4-star experience at a 2-star price - I stayed at the Mantra twice in a short period to attend two conferences. The staff are unfailingly helpful and the rooms spacious and comfortable.
