- Lisa (8/5): Clean, spacious, convenient, but VERY SLOW CHECK IN! - The rooms were spacious and very clean. It was in a great location for college tours. Lots of available restaurants close by. It took over 15 minutes to check in. I have never had it take so long. Usually I give them my name and driver's license and they give me the keys. This time they needed all of our names and a physical credit card. Usually they just use the one I booked the room with. They asked us so many questions. They asked for my phone number and address, which they usually already have thru my booking. My family amd I just wanted to go to our rooms. We were standing at the desk with heavy bags and the woman helping us was moving at a glacial pace with no urgency. She was not efficient at all.
The only problem with the rooms were the pillows were terrible. So flat. I had to use 3 just to make a thin pillow.
- Teri (10/5): It was a great stay. - Clean and easy to get to. Nothing
- James (10/5): - Nice location to highway
- Zhanna (10/5): - Clean and quit
- Robyn (10/5): - The desk service was very accommodating. Rooms were clean.
- Marie C (8/5): -
- Ann Marie (10/5): - Hotel was just renovated. We stay frequently. It’s the best place to stay in Oneonta.
- William (8/5): -
- Barbara (9/5): Overall great experience at this hotel - Everywhere was spotlessly clean, staff was extremely kind and helpful No free breakfast
- Karyn (10/5): -
- Christine (10/5): Great Stay…. - Our room was very clean. Food at the Bistro is really good. Staff was really nice and helpful when we had questions. Whenever we needed a cleaning by the time we got back everything was made, fresh towels were there and soaps replenished. Bed was comfy too. Had good night sleep with black out curtains as well.
- Lisa (10/5): - Great stay!
- Eugene (10/5): - the people at the front desk where very nice to work with and the hotel was clean
- SfromJersey (6/5): Nice but really loud - This hotel was clean and the staff we interacted with were very friendly, but it was hands down the loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Not because other guests were loud, but because there isn’t an ounce of insulation in the entire place. I could hear entire conversations going on in the room next door like they were in my room. We tried to come back late each night so the neighbors would be sleeping and we’d only have to hear the tv’s on either side of us. Downside to that is we’d get woken up early by the neighbor above us. The person was a heel walker and our entire room would shake when they walked.
Somebody else in our party (not in our room) was snoring too loud and their neighbor kept banging on the wall to get them to stop.
This was a nice location for our son’s Cooperstown tournament but it’s not worth staying until they insulate the walls and ceilings.
- Adija (10/5): - Nice, convenient hotel with daily housekeeping
- 591chacew (2/5): It’s terrible!!!!(read the rest of the review to see why it will change your life. - This is the absolute worse hotel that has ever been made. This honestly feels worse than a motel 6. The surfaces has blood stains everywhere, the fridge has leftover Buffalo Wild Wings, and the room above me was playing tackle football till 4am. Over it has a nasty and dirty vibe. Pool is as large as king mattress and gym couldn’t hold everything in my fridge. It also smells like a public restroom everywhere. The elevators take light years to go one floor and if u get lucky enough to stay in a room with a view, you get to enjoy a large parking lot. Overall this hotel is the worst I have ever stayed at and brings shame to the Marriott brand. P.S. Stay somewhere else please this made my son’s Cooperstown experience a nightmare.
- Ashley (10/5): - This was a great stay! Closeness to Cooperstown All Star Village. Quick options for eating around the hotel…Dunkin’, Applebees, Panera, Five-Guys, Jersey Mikes, and Moes to name a few. Walmart for any essentials needed!
- Adianna (10/5): - Pretty nice, new and super clean hotel
- L7310ORgaryg (2/5): Bait and Switch racket - This hotel does not deserve the Marriott name. I was bait and switched on the pricing. Quoted one price as all inclusive only to find out not true. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED the total including taxes etc …Totally non cooperative staff regarding the $50 additional charges.
Exceptionally expensive for an at best " lame" hotel. Over $330 night and no complimentary coffee or water in lobby ( before the charges they hide from you)
Run away from this hotel. Having stayed in a 100 hotels, I have never been more disappointed. Rip off
- Candace (10/5): - Lots of options nearby, lovely rooms microwave, fridge, indoor pool
- Stephen (10/5): - The staff was very friendly both evening and morning! Very clean room very updated!
- Nikia (10/5): Exceptional - Location is Great for SUNY parents
- Peter (7/5): Good - Conveniently located Room wasn’t presented well, almost felt like it was lightly straightened up after the last guest rather than set up for a new guest.
- Euclides (10/5): - Overall we like the property.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Very clean and nice sized room. Could hear a little noise from the room above us, not nothing crazy.
- Carly (4/5): Disappointing - Have been trying to contact for days now in regards to the hold still on my card for the room with no return answers or emails
- Bill (8/5): Would not hesitate to stay again or to recommend. Nice place, outstanding staff. - Entire staff was very courteous and personable. Could have given a heads up construction was going to be taking place. Only bad thing I really have to say about it.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- 176mindia (2/5): Awful customer service - The front desk was not accommodating when they messed up our reservation and had the audacity to blame me for not checking my confirmation email on the dates they messed up.
I don't understand how you can blame the customer. Ever. It is not ok.
The right thing to do is apologize for your mistake and offer some compromise to rectify the situation. You NEVER blame the customer.
The manager was just as awful as the woman at the front desk.
Do NOT recommend. There are plenty of options close by in the same price range.
Horrible customer service.
If you do choose to stay there, or have no choice... Be sure to double check your reservation and pray you never need to speak to a manager.
- Karl (9/5): Superb -
- Jaimie (2/5): - Very poor condition, room was dirty. Hair in the bathroom and geunge
- Pat (10/5): Pat Finn - We were just disappointed that the Bistro was closed on Saturday.
- Jolicoeur (9/5): Friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and inviting hotel - Clean spacious room, friendly staff, great common areas despite some ongoing renovation in lobby / meal area. Starbucks in meal area!!
Room is modern and well equipped, and looks just as nice as in the Booking.com pictures! Our room’s shower was not working! There was no maintenance available. As we were on a tight schedule, we could not take the offer of the staff to go to another room that morning. The staff could not offer rebate as we had booked through a third party but was gracious enough to offer us instead breakfast on them. Breakfast with expertly made Starbucks coffee and fresh food options more than made up for our shower issue, the staff being extremely friendly and professional. One of the best avocado toasts I have actually ever had (and the breakfast bowl and tater tots were delicious)! If back in the area, I would definitely choose this Courtyard Marriott again! The outside terrace in the back looked beautiful although the weather did not allow us to sit there.
- Caren (10/5): Clean, friendly, quiet , comfortable. - Clean, friendly, quiet , comfortable. nothing
- Christopher (8/5): - Na
- William (10/5): - Great property. Hot tub was hot, thank you.
- Criscuoli (8/5): Very clean. Very nice staff. Rooms are large. Bistro is expensive but very good food. - It is conveniently located. It has a very nice Bistro. The person working on Sunday evening (January 19th) was exceptionally helpful. There is a construction project going on. This made the lobby and bistro difficult to sit in while the work was going on. It would’ve been nice to know.
- Alfred (6/5): - Did poor job in snow plowing. No luggage carts available at time of check-in.
- Randy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellsworth (9/5): Superb -
- margaret (8/5): - A nice comfortable property!
- Kane (10/5): Great stay for the price - Our stay was very nice. The hotel was clean, the pool and hot tub were very clean and open.
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were pleasant, and the location was great. They could improve the decor. It's a little dated, but still exceptionally clean.
- Kathleen (10/5): - Excellent service. Friendly staff. Clean. Gave us adjoining rooms. Easy check in. Easy check out.
- Karen (9/5): Superb - The staff was super cool and the accommodations were lovely. The food was great too. The hotel is in a great location near food and colleges we were visiting. The noisy neighbors. We had to move to another room in the middle of the night and we were never compensated. The hotel needs to hire security to deal with unruly clients. The front desk did all that they could to help us. The next day the manager just offered us an apology.
- Paul (7/5): good no problems -
- Irina (10/5): Thank you! -
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional - The Courtyard by Marriott was a beautiful place to visit! Of particular interest was the pool, hot tub, AND the food :)
- Charles (9/5): Overall very nice - The mattress and pillow needs improvement See above
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional -
- gerard (10/5): - The hotel was real nice and clean the room had a bathtub and there was a bar and food service in the lobby.
- Edmond (10/5): - Convenient to resteraunts
- Tracy (8/5): - Wish they had coffee available in lobby (other than having to pay for it)
Area did not have a lot of options for breakfast so it would be nice to have more breakfast options. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay
- Groomes (7/5): Good - 👍 👍
- X792REstevek (10/5): Enjoyed this stay. - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel.
Room was clean and well appointed .ADA
accessible as requested.
Parking very covienent.
Lobby well decorated.
Bistro service and food very good.
Covienent to highway and 30 minutes to Cooperstown.
I would certainly come back here.
- Verified traveler (6/5): The good and the bad - The good stuff: friendly, helpful staff, plenty of parking, close to everything.
The bad stuff: the pillows were flat and awful, the fan smelled like mildew for the first couple days, the air in the room was super dry, the pool and hot tub were a few degrees too cold for indoor. It was more like a warm tub than a hot tub.
- jkerry (10/5): - clean
- Furbeck (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cindy (10/5): Staff was excellent. - Employees. Price
- Howard (6/5): Beds and pillows are to soft, dirty washcloth hanging on shower rod - The room had a dirty washcloth hanging on the shower rod told front desk to have it removed and they didn’t
- Kristopher (6/5): Pleasant -
- chrisdZ1840OZ (4/5): Unfairly charged for leaving early when the desk made no mention of it when I made the request. - Very unfair business dealing. Charged an extra night for leaving a day early. DESPITE me calling before we checked in, AND speaking to the lobby desk who said its fine if you leave early with no mention of getting charged, yet then they charge you for it.
- Jeffery (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lawrence (10/5): - People are wonderful there
- Dan (8/5): - The lack of reasonably priced breakfast services.
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hofer (8/5): Would stay again - Clock on night stand did not work. I declined cleaning service, but got it anyway.
- Jestin (8/5): Very good -
- rwcreech (2/5): STAY AWAY. Not a Marriott property - This is the most unreasonable hotel I’ve ever spoken to. Our flight was canceled after 11 hours at the airport. When the flight was canceled at 11:30 PM, we immediately called the hotel and advised of the cancellation. We are titanium Bonvoy members and always stay at Marriott properties. we found out that this hotel is not a Marriott property and is only a franchise. They charged us $340 despite calling and canceling. They said status does not matter at this hotel. Marriott should be embarrassed that they are using their brand name. The GM Vinny Masconi was extremely rude and condescending.
- Kim (10/5): - Very nice people
- John (9/5): Enjoyable -
- Paul (6/5): would choose a hotel w/breakfast included - clean needs to include breakfast for this price!
- Leah (9/5): Superb - Convenient Location. Close to restaurants and grocery. 10 minute easy drive to All Star Village.
- Edward (10/5): Better than expected - My room was bigger than expected and extremely clean. It was one of the best rooms I have stated in quite some time.
- LIsa (10/5): - The hotel room was very clean - even the bathroom! Hotel staff was very friendly and personable and helpful
- Irina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (10/5): Very comfortable, courteous staff. - Scenic. Mountain View’s are great Nothing
- Christopher (8/5): - 👍
- Maureen (10/5): - Close to shopping and SUNY Oneonta.
