Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely chateau - Beautiful vineyards, lovely chateau and excellent service all made for a terrific stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is a working vineyard, with a lovely Château in the middle of it. The rooms are spacious; the grounds are pretty. More like a b&b than a hotel despite its size. Intimate, friendly.
- Robert (10/5): - Beautiful setting. The hosts we genial and very accomodating - booked us dinner at a great restaurant nearby, and made a fabulous breakfast. The property is wonderful, with outlooks over the river and surrounding vineyards, and the chateau is beautifully decorated. Room was great. Access from inside and had an entry on to their beautiful back garden. Could not have been better.
- Brid (10/5): Lovely warm welcome - We had a lovely stay at Château Belles Graves, the setting is fantastic. Beautiful interior. Comfortable bed and spacious bedroom. We were incredibly lucky to receive a personal tour of the vineyard and also wine tasting. We must thank Laurent and Xavier for that. All in all, a wonderful experience
- Karoline (10/5): - Smukt, roligt. Adgang til haven.
- Vince (10/5): Beautiful settings over the wine valley - lovely private gardens where you can relax and enjoy the scenary. Comfort bedroom and living rooms. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Nice touch with the free wine tour and tasting.
- David (10/5): - Accommodations were wonderful. Winery tour excellent. Great location. We loved it.
- Patricia (10/5): Beautiful place to spend time! - This is one of the most relaxing and pleasant places to spend time. Large comfortable rooms
and walking around the grounds and vineyard are a delight. Would definitely return and stay
longer. Large windows and the most beautiful spot to watch the sunset with a glass of wine.
- Victoria (8/5): Beautiful Chateau in the Vines - Xavier was a wonderful host, giving a very detailed tour of the property and vineyard. Room was large and comfortable and breakfast was wonderful. Quiet and well located for touring the St Emilion area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful, quiet setting in the wine country. Close to St Emilion and other Chateau's.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A stay in the pomerol region of France. - Warm and immediate welcome from a cordial and professional staff. The breakfast was good. The chateau setting was peaceful and picturesque.
- Colleen (8/5): Lovely charming hotel in a quiet area. - Beautiful setting and very attentive host, Lucas. Lovely breakfast and very comfortable bed.
- Terry (10/5): Lovely experience at this elegant winery! - We were thrilled with our stay and hope to return. The grounds are delicious and the owner and his assistant were very warm and welcoming......their wine was wonderful and they were happy to chat about the area and the business. It's a true find for that price range in the Bordeaux area. Only 5 rooms and all have beautiful views of the sprawling countryside covered in vines. It's well worth the lovely drive to get there!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic Views, quiet location - Lovely chateau in a rural location. Friendly staff. I would recommend that if you plan on staying here you will need a car
- per (6/5): - Rent och fint men saknar personlighet, vackert, dåligt wi-fi, ingen service, man får klara sig själv, gratis invisning av vingården
- Darrell (8/5): - Friendly, hospitable staff. Beautiful location. Nice tour and wine tasting.
- Nora (10/5): Utrolig bra service og gjestfrihet. Anbefales.
- Alan (8/5): Ideal spot for appreciation of wine and country - Chateau is a working wine producing chateau near the beautiful town of Saint Emilion.
The peace and beauty of the area is wonderful. The hotel is comfortable and has all the amenities. Breakfast is limited in scope but excellent in quality.
The old chateau is nicely furnished and comfortable for a summer visit. I would think winter may be draughty but our weather was superb.in summer.
One needs a GPS to find it and nearby villages to visit.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Chefen kunne have været mere opmærksom, men han havde nok travlt.
- Bordeaux brilli (10/5): Beautiful vineyard setting - Very welcoming staff. Thanks to Xavier for a wine tasting and very informative tour around the vineyard. Beautiful clean room with amazing breakfast. Would love to have stayed longer
- Verified traveler (10/5): A beautiful location - The chateau is a great stay and good base location for the area.
Note that check- in closes at 19:00 but I called ahead to say we may be a little late on arrival. We arrived just minutes before 19:00. However, another couple staying at the hotel arrived around midnight. They had notified the staff that they would arrive late. The owner greeted them when they arrived.
The grounds are beautiful. I would have gladly stayed longer than the one night we were in the area.
- momo (10/5): It is a beautiful and historic Chateaux. - Everything is wonderful. The room is cozy and have been perfectly renovated. Hospitality feeling is transmitted.I will want revisit.
- Denis (8/5): Very good hotel. Excellent location. - Excellent breakfast and very careful service - always with a smile. I would highly recommend this place if you want to be in the middle of the vineyards. Wifi works very well too! Excellent value.
- Roland (8/5): Emplacement exceptionnel - Excellent service
- Jluc (10/5): Classy little Chateau - Excellent Service and quality of rooms and breakfast. The only observation would be the matress which was too firm..
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic chateau - beautiful location! - Staff very helpful and welcoming. Rooms were delightful. Setting in the vineyard was wonderful. Great place to sit on the terrace and enjoy the view with a glass or two of fine wine!
- Ethan (10/5): Great stay in Bordeaux - Really enjoyed the stay - beautiful building, great scenery, and Xavier made the stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Overall a wonderful stay.
- RenoWulf (10/5): French chateau - Fabulous accommodations, terrific wine, great holiday experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely quiet hotel - We had a great experience at the chateau. Warmly welcomed by staff.
Rooms we very clean and had a love view over the garden.
The pictures on website make the hotel look quiet large or grand.
This was just the place we needed after weeks of travel in major cities to escape the noise.
For lunch n dinner you must drive a few km to local towns I st-emillion 10km, which was no problem.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location for wine tasting.
- Morin (8/5): In a Chateau - Chateau Belles-Graves is situated in a beautiful setting in the middle of the wine region, near St-Emilion. We enjoyed our stay.
- stunawine (10/5): Great location - Comfy provincial place to stay. Good location to Saint Emilion. You need to alert in advance whether you will arrive late from Bordeaux. Need a GPS to find things. Overall value for money
- John (8/5): Loved the view from the balcony! - Great views. Nice atmosphere. Great food. Restaurant was closed when we arrived but they made us a terrific salad!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Unique Experiance - Beautiful views and lovely environment. Did a tasting and tour of the winery the morning we checked out.
De rustige locatie, toch in het midden "where it all happens".
- Verified traveler (10/5): Genuine hospitality - Beautifully located in the wine district close to St Emillion the Belles-Graves is a superb experience, well kept, nice interior and a garden with a view. ,
- Carlito (10/5): Amazing place - what an amazing place, in the heart of great vineyard, overlooking Petrus! Staff rooms and everything about the place was just perfect.
- Peter (10/5): Perfect in every sense - Chateau Belles-Graves, beautiful!! We loved it. The room is generous in size and the door out to the perfectly manicured gardens took us to another world. Perfectly located 10 mins from St Emilion it was a wonderful relaxing holiday.
The team looked after our every need and provided us with great suggestions and information.
TIP - Before you head off for the day, have the team open a bottle of the Chateau wine to breathe.... then from your days travels, bring back some cheese and bread, sit in the beautiful gardens and watch the sunset over the valley - superb!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Definately recommend a stay at the vineyard - Perfect night in the vineyard, amazing views and rooms.
- A Traveler (10/5): Excellent place to stay to see Bordeaux region - We really lucked out choosing this B&B. Great place to stay. It was off season so we had the chateau to ourselves. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Great view of surrounding vineyards. We were given a tour of the property and wine tasting. Room was very large and clean. Great place to stay when visiting the area.
