Guest Reviews
- Caden (8/5): It was incredible - Hotel exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend! There is nothing that I didn’t like
- Joseph (10/5): -
- Dean (4/5): - The trip was to take a ride on the train in Cass . We were there to enjoy a pleasant time with expected accommodations to be appropriate (clean, comfortable and accessible) None of which were available or a person to express our disappointment. We left a day early because of the conditions.
- Mia J. (8/5): Great condo, hotel.com didn’t give any chk in info - The condo itself was lovely. Very clean, comfortable blankets and pillows. We appreciated how nice it was. The issue is that we showed up at 9 o’clock on Friday night and there were no signs, no information on how we were supposed to check in. I ended up wandering the village and I found another couple who told me they had the same experience and let me know where to go. If you’re going to rent out rooms at hotels.com, you need to give better information on what to do when you arrive.
- Kate (10/5): - Very nice, wish there was dish soap. I had a wonderful stay
- Amy (10/5): - Excellent experience even in the midst of a large, crowded event!
- Edward (6/5): - Nice staff
- Stewart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (8/5): - Nice place overall. Carpet could be replaced, kitchen sink drains slow, small microwave over sink not operating.
- Joel (10/5): - One of the best mountain/ slopes views, right in the Snowshoe village, steps from everywhere, even the shuttle. Cozy apartment, with everything you need.
- Jacob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Xxxxzz (10/5): Being that this was our first time visiting Snowshoe, we were so happy about the location and the cleanliness of Highlan - Property was clean and offered extras such as loaded up kitchen cabinets and silverware. It really did have everything you need. Nothing
- Amanda (5/5): Need better cell service! -
- Elizabeth (6/5): I was glad I came with friends who had been before since the staff was not helpful. - Meals were very good Staff at ski rental and check in were rude
- William (10/5): - Overall, a very nice room and property. We had a couple problems with electronic key access (to our room and to the front door). While inconvenient, staff always addressed the problems quickly. Make sure you read the check-in instructions and look over maps so you know where to check, etc.
Overall, very nice...we will be back and stay in the Highland House.
- Tara (8/5): second time we’ve stayed at this property, although in a different room each time. love the location. would stay again. - convenient location right in the heart of the village, very well equipped and upgraded kitchen and room. very roomy and large balcony with a great view of the slopes. it was very clean as well. decent water pressure. right by the snow blowers…VERY noisy at night - sleeping was a challenge. both beds were pretty uncomfortable and not very sturdy. the toaster doesn’t work properly and we had a heck of a time (the third store we tried off mountain had some) finding coffee filters. we brought our own keurig supplies but couldn’t use them. bathtub in second bedroom was extremely slow to drain.
- Victoria (8/5): We appreciated the location and the ample space for our family to be together. - The location was terrific. The space worked out so nicely for our family that gathered for a wedding. It was really nice to have 3 full floors. Some folks could relax while others had coffee together or got ready to leave for our events. The pillows were so flat I could hardly sleep, I did find one that was alright. Next time I will bring my own pillow. The half-bathroom was so small you could not close the door until you were completely inside.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Gerald (8/5): Very good -
- Clifford (8/5): Ski trip - Ski in ski out, great location. No services offered at the highland house. Must check in at other location.
- Lynette (10/5): Fantastic stay - proximity to the lifts
- David (8/5): Staff were great check in after we found was excellent in room coffee service was poor at best - Check in many people could not find check in needed to be marked from parking are
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): A beautiful place to stay for amazing views and fun active adventures! - The views were amazing! We enjoyed walking around the village and using the trails to explore! We how to come back soon! The ride up and down the mountain was scary for my wife and made my wife nauseous. However I have nothing negative to say about the resort!
- Christopher (10/5): - Great property and location. Also there’s no front desk. Check in is at Allegheny springs which is at the end of the village.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - When we arrived we could not get in our building. The place was like a ghost town. Finally found another building that we could get in. Turns out that’s where we were to check in. No information was ever provided to tell us that. No signs either. I called numbers for the Highland house and was told they were closed for the day. It was around 6. You would think phones could be forwarded to the desk in Allegheny where we finally found a person. . Almost everything was closed. We’re unable to take advantage of the amenities. Disappointed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location for ski in/out. Condo was spacious. Check in was easy and efficient.
- Courtney (8/5): Check-In - Check in was awful. There was no direction on where to go for check in. We walked around for an hour before we found someone coming out of the highland house to ask. Overall a great stay! Nice room. Now that I know where to check in at I would book again.
- Patrick (10/5): Great room /location - I really enjoyed this property. I will start with one thing that can be improved and move to the rest which is positive.
1. Check-in location is NOT at the highland location. It’s up the street in a separate building. Several attempts to call and find out did not go well. I realized this was an ongoing issue as another family was wondering around trying to find the check-in location. Once I located the check-in location my experience got much better.
2. Unloading the car and finding the room was easy, the room looked amazing (I recommend the 4th floor which is the top floor).
3. The room was warm and had a fireplace and porch/balcony looking over snowshoe. I would recommend getting updated pictures of the property as the property looked much better than what was displayed on Hotels.com (this is a good problem IMO).
4. You get a locker to lockup your snowboarding/ski equipment that’s easily accessible from the slopes.
5. Location was right in the middle of the village which made getting coffee/food easy.
6. Parking is across the street, you get a parking pass. Make sure it’s showing as I noticed a tow truck making its rounds around the property (parking lot). I didn’t see it towing anyone, but it was driving slow looking at each car. My car was just fine as I backed in with the parking pass showing. I took pictures just in case...
7. Checkout was easy by calling and giving your room number and location.
Wonderful property!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Highland House is in an excellent location. We needed pillows and other sheets and they were very timely providing them to us.
- Rachel (4/5): - The property is beautiful. Our condo had mouse droppings on the bed and on the dining table. The fold out couch was broken. The heater made a ticking noise that was irritating.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like this property very thing was convenient and the activities were fun!
- Ken (8/5): Fun place. - Great location and cozy accommodations. We will definitely be staying here again. If there's was anything negative to report it would be that checking in process isn't very clear.
- jessica (6/5): - Our throw pillows and bed skirt was ripped. Extra blankets for pull out sofa was ripped as well. Toilet bowl was stained black! All the walls were marked with black scuff marks, looks like it hasn't been painted in years! A pool is on the amenities list but you have to walk to a different area in the resort to get to pool! No close parking when trying to haul luggage. Beautiful mountain view!
- Ruby (6/5): Nice location - Great location, everything is near by. Only complaint would be the cleanliness of the rooms.
- Pam (10/5): Great 1 br condo on the ski slopes - The Highland House was a great place to stay on snowshoe mountain. Great location at the village plaza.
- Tim (6/5): Not pleased - This is the perfect place to stay if you enjoy very small spaces. It's small when the foldout sofa isn't open, but when it is, you can barely turn around. Small TV that cannot be viewed from the bed which was on other side of room. Opened the blinds to enjoy the beautiful mountain views only to discover they hadn't been cleaned for a very long time, one of them looked as though something had been spilled on outside and ran all down the window. You check in at a sister hotel (and not until 5 pm!), so there was nowhere to go nearby to make a request or lodge a complaint. To call family members on another floor, couldn't just dial their room number, each room had a long, full-fledged phone number assigned to it. WiFi was only good in your own room, not all over the facility. Hated the entire experience. Will never go back.
- Beth S. (8/5): Great location - The only real problem we had was check-in. There is no check-in at the facility. We were sent to one location which was closed for summer. Then we had to go to another location to actually get checked-in. Location was in the middle of everything which was nice. Parking across the highway not so convenient.
- Susan (8/5): Nice weekend get away - This was a nice hotel for a weekend get away. Check-in was a little hard to find (late at night plus foggy). Wish the weather had been better - resort offered a lot to activities to do (weather permitting).
