- asap_ricky (2/5): Avoid This Place – Worst “4-Star” Experience in Cluj - The moment you step inside Wyndham Ramada Cluj, you’re hit with a funky, musty smell. That was my first impression, and sadly, it went downhill from there. The toilet in my room didn’t flush properly, the Wi-Fi was slower than a remote village in Africa, and the room was so far from the lift it took over 3 minutes to walk there. At check-in, I asked the receptionist if the hotel was full. She said no. But when I complained about the smell, broken toilet, and poor Wi-Fi, the front desk manager, Rares, suddenly told me there were no other rooms and I’d have to wait until tomorrow. So in the 5 minutes it took me to get from the lobby to my room, the whole hotel magically became full? I told him their so-called 4-star service was worth barely 1 star and that I’d write a Google review. Within 3–5 minutes, he magically appeared at my door with a “new” room that suddenly materialized. Incredible. Then there’s their ridiculous rules — this is the first hotel I’ve ever seen that forces guests to sign a waiver promising not to order food delivery or bring outside food to eat in the hotel. Break that rule? €100 fine. What kind of scam is that? On day 2, I ran out of water and called reception. Instead of simply sending some, they brought it up with a credit card machine. I was stunned. Apparently, only the small bottle of water you get at check-in is “complimentary” — after that, you pay. How am I supposed to survive 3 nights on less than 1 litre of water? In every other hotel I’ve stayed in around the world, basic drinking water is standard. For the record, every Uber driver, restaurant worker, festival staff member, and random local I met in Cluj was friendly, warm, and helpful. The only unfriendly, unhelpful, and downright unpleasant people I met in Romania were working in this hotel. Must be the air inside — that same musty smell you notice the moment you walk in. And just when I was about to post this review, I discovered they’ve conveniently disabled Google reviews and removed the review function from their own website. Says a lot, doesn’t it? If you want to enjoy Cluj, stay literally anywhere else.

- Benoit (8/5): Excellent - It meets the standards you expect in such a place: our room was big and comfortable, clean and everything. Personal is helpful. Gym features all you need, you have a sauna, a steam bath and a large enough pool to swim with a view on the city. Perhaps the pool area would deserve a renovation, some things have reached their life expectancy here. If your room is on roads side, it will be difficult to sleep with the windows opened. That being said, it’s quiet when closed and you have AC anyway, so it’s not a problem.

- DuPainDuVinDuLapin (8/5): Decent hotel, a small walk from the centre - Decent hotel close to the centre of Cluj, the rooms are modern and clean, and the pool/breakfast are also very decent. The aircon is very noisy (turns on and off all night long). And I would recommend guests bring their own pillow - the hotel updated the pillows and they are very thick and very hard (none of the other guests on this work trip, or myself, could use them).

The guy at the reception was very polite, helpful and with a big smile on his face. There was a strong ambiental parfum at the entrance of the hotel and in the elevator.

A great base to explore Cluj and the surrounding area. Our flight was diverted on the way which caused us to be a day late arriving. The hotel staff dealt with this in a helpful and efficient manner. - ayalz11 (4/5): Cheap hotel - Terrible hotel. Rooms are outdated and smelly. Hotel is cheap and even water are not complimentary and you get only one coffee capsule... Staff were not very helpful and very slow (took us 5 min to check out). The hotel is always dark and lobby lights are supposed to open automatically but usually don't so you need to find your way. Wouldn't recommend
- KirstyPD (10/5): Lovely Restaurant with Great Bar and Drinks Selection - we came here for the day to work and have food and drinks. We were served by Vaidla Catalin. He was brilliant and very attentive. We ate soup, had many beers, a delicious bloody mary and vodka, carrot and beetroot each. Plus coffees. We were here for the whole day working and taking in the atmosphere. I have allergens but the barman was able to talk me through what I could have and they made us feel very welcome. The bar is lovely and we were the only ones there and were able to work quite happily. The wifi is very strong and its nice and quiet. Would come back.

Breakfast is quit common, but varied, covering a lot of preferences. It is conveniently close to the old center (a nice 15-20 min walk). For.Cluj, it offers good value for money.

Breakfast was good, but we chose to eat out in the evening because the dining area lacked character, as did the bar. The service was faultless - very friendly staff always ready to help.

The only thing was the noise from the room above or next door, not quite sure where the noise was coming from but it sounded like someone was dragging furniture around , it went on till quite late. Apart from that it was a good stay with a decent breakfast in the morning and nice indoor pool.

Staff were all friendly, professional and Cristian, in particular, went to great trouble to recover an item I left behind in a taxi. Executive lounge having only Pork it's kind of shame. Disappointed. Have to always order looks like a way to make money after charging hefty for executive rooms.
- freshokeeffe (8/5): Lovely - Lovely place Great security you have to use your key to travel up the lift. The rooms are lovely with all the amenitys from sewing kits to a little vanity kit. There are robes and slipper which are great for going up to the pool from your room The pool is fantastic the view is lovely and there are sun loungers their to ly on .The staff at reception were really nice and very helpful. The only problem was the cleaners they were a little lackadaisy with replacing the washing gels and caps This is not the hotels fault their were dog barking up to 12 30 at night don't know the law on noise here
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This hotel is very run down and needs renovation. The carpets in the corridor and in the room were stained and worn down. The floor tiles in the bathroom were very cracked. The water in the shower came out brown and smelling of rust for the first few minutes. Wifi signal in the room was weak but usable for our requirements. On the bright side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is good too, and it is a short walk to the old town.
- Robert (10/5): Last minute reservation but superb stay - My son had gone to Cluj to attend a major concert but a mix-up on the flight schedules meant he arrived a day early and before his reservation for the following several nights. I immediately went into Hotels.com and found the Wyndham Ramada, and despite beingthe last minute, he was welcomed and treated like a long-term and valued client. The hotel is very comfortable, well located for the downtown area, has a great gym and fantastic pool (perfect antidote to a long day of travel) and a restaurant far above the typical hotel facility. He would have considered extending his stay but the large number of concert-goers meant the Wyndham was booked solid for the next several nights (and deservedly so). He has great memories of his stay, and of the warm welcome received. I recommend it most heartily.

- Guest (8/5): Comfortable room, reasonable price - I stayed at the Ramada for a week. The staff is professional and I experienced no unusual problems during my stay. The carpeting was worn and should be replaced in the hallways but the rest of the facility was in good condition.

The bathroom was decently sized, but for a hotel of this category I expect more than a loud dusty fan and shower with cracks and stains. The beds were good and the fitness center and pool make it better, but still I was disappointed. I was expecting more style and less average.

- Crisabro (4/5): Not a good experience - Stayed in room 105 and it was in a wing where to take the elevator it was supposed to climb some stairs with luggages. They did ask someone to help but I was not happy to have to ask for. The room is quite ok, but cleaning is not their best skill. The bathroom had a big spider web and I could not close the window because of that. I wouldn’t stay again unless I am forced by an unexpected context.
- kevingK2262OS (8/5): A Great Stay at Ramada in Cluj - The Ramada in Cluj is a very good hotel and I had a very pleasant stay. The only drawback is it ocated on a busy road but it is ony a short walk into the city centre and the staff provided excellent service. Great Spa facilities.

Nice clean suite, very comfortable, unfortunatelly I was at top floor and there was big noice whole from some agregat or whatever machine mounted at the rooftop shower was somehow broken so very unconvenient
- Florian (6/5): Try a better hotel!!! - Never again! Noisy room, couldn’t set up the excessive heat, old furniture and room, the bed sheet had a crack into AND VERY POOR WIFI! Not to mention that the clean up lady entered into the room without knocking on the door twice even the Do Not Disturb sign was hanged. High price for a not cosy, not comfortable and poor WiFi place! I don’t recommend at all!

Room was cleaned at a very variable rhythm, bathroom was cleaned once over the three weeks I was there - they did replace the towels every day, even though I had hung them up to say I would use them again, but never mopped the floor or wiped down the surfaces. Coffee cups and glasses were washed from time to time, free coffee and tea in the room was occasionally replenished. Very disappointing.

The rooms are very spacious, with all the comforts and in general the hotel offers high quality services. The centrepiece is for sure the last floor with the beauty spa, the gym and the swimming pool with a great outlook of the city.
