Guest Reviews
- Jeffery (6/5): Not worth the effort. - Maintenance is lacking on the entire property. The bathroom mirror had a nice saying (not family friendly) on it that showed up vividly when steamed over which happened easily since the fan was useless.
- Shelly (10/5): Great place to stay! - Loved the spacious room size and bathroom size! The pool was phenomenal! Great help at the front desk at the hotel on top of the mountain and bottom! It was a wonderful place to stay and economical for me and my son! We will be back sometime just not sure when.
- Cynthia (10/5): Great Front Desk Staff - Trevor and Katie at The Inn at Snowshoe were absolutely the best. We talked with Katie for several minutes. She is absolutely one of the very best front desk staff, I had the privilege of interacting with.
- Jeff (6/5): Not Bad, not great - The place was a bit pricey, I thought, but it's actually one of the cheapest places I could find to stay in near Snowshoe, so maybe my expectations were just off the mark. Although a bit old and run down, the place was very clean, which counts for a lot to me.
- Jeremy (8/5): - Great retro vibe, hot tubs awesome, people working and that we met were all great
- Robert (2/5): DOORS LOCKED, LIGHTS OFF, NO INTERNET ACCESS - I put in the address from the email confirming my reservation. When I got to the address, the doors were locked and the lights were out. And this was at 3:30pm on Friday afternoon. I was very upset. I tried to pull up my email and had no internet access. I drove back down to the bottom of the hill, then drove South looking for another hotel. When i found none, i drove north to find one. I ended up getting a room in Elkins, WV. I was VERY DISPLEASED WITH MY EXPERIENCE.
- Julie (10/5): - Nice and quiet place to stay. Amazing little place across the street to eat. People are so nice.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - In June the place was deserted, nice pool and spa. Internet didn't work but they fixed the problem relatively quickly. What they didn't tell us was that nothing was open on Mon - Wed. You have to pay $40 for a "fun pass" but nothing was open so we couldn't do anything. Kind of a ripoff.
- Nicholas (6/5): The snow shoe inn stay that is just okay - Average stay for the price, Service poor, cleanliness below average, comfort you get what you pay for but close to the slopes and that is what is important!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The staff was okay. The beds in the room were uncomfortable. They both sunk in the middle. There was no coffee maker or microwave in the room. There was no coffee in the Inn at all. You had to walk across the road to get a cup of coffee from the cafe and it was costly. There was no restaurant on the property. There was a Pub but it was never open. There wasn't enough hot water for 2 people to take a shower. Will never stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was good overall. Nothing to complain about. Not much more to say.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice, basic hotel near Snowshoe Mountain. - Basic hotel close to Snowshoe. The cheapest option. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tubs were nice. The shuttle only ran once every hour, so you had to plan or WAIT which is what we had to do! My son forgot his toothbrush and they did not have any to offer guests...at the rate we were paying, I would think they could offer guests this basic service!
There is no cell phone reception anywhere at snowshoe. They do offer Wifi, but you will not be able to use your phone service. This is not the hotel's fault, this is a blackout area!
- Jeff (6/5): Cheap Hotel Close to Snowshoe - If your on a budget this is a good choice. Not the cleanest or most well kept hotel, ton's of people in the lounge/breakfast area all hours of the night. The biggest issues are no wifi in the rooms, and no microwaves in the rooms. If you want to use the microwave you have to use the community one downstairs where theres tons of what appears to be staff hanging out with their shoes off, etc. Other than those issues, it's a good, cheap place to stay and only a 10 minute drive to the top of the resort. There's a ski/rental shop and a nice little cafe that has great breakfast, but terrible service. You get what you pay for.
- Mike (8/5): Several Day Stay at Snowshoe - Good experience for a motorcyclist. Allowed to park bike under front porte cochere which is well lit and has surveillance. Staff reasonably personable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This place was better than expected, except for a few minor things. Let me talk about the Con's: The bathroom could use a remodel, the shower was kind of small, and the paint on the bathroom walls needs some TLC. Not crazy about the resort fee. Also wish there was wi-fi in the rooms as I have an internet radio show I like to listen to at night. Pro's: continental breakfast, great fill up to get going in the morning! Quite room, couldn't hear traffic at night while sleeping. Nice pool and hot tub, perfect temps! Staff was knowledgeable about surrounding area. Hotel is close to Cass Scenic Railroad, and the Green bank observatory.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very affordable and close to snowshoe activities - Had a great vacation stay and will see the Snowshoe Inn staff again next year.
- Heather (6/5): decent stay for a low price - cheap decently clean stay, packaged oatmeal for breakfast was a plus. biggest downside was horribly uncomfortable bed, woke up soar every morning
- Andriy (10/5): - Good hotel. Nice people. No problem . internet not good.
- Kristi (6/5): happy but disappointed.... - the hotel staff was great...the room was clean and comfy...the view was gorgeous...Wifi sucked "literally only in lobby"...BEWARE THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE ANYWHERE IN THE 40 MILE RADIUS EXCEPT FOR ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN (6 min away)...The entire inside of the hotel smelled like marijuana the whole 3 days...and there was a homeless man sleeping at the back entrance under the tree. I would definitely stay here again if in the area because I would know ahead of time... NOT A BAD HOTEL AT ALL.... I just like to note all of the ups and downs!!!! We even recommended our family leave their hotel to stay here with us....
- Verified traveler (8/5): mid week stay - Very few guests at this time of year. Hotel was almost deserted which actually was nice. Food choices very limited during our mid week stay. Overall had an enjoyable time.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Budget conscience travelers - It was fine for what we wanted. Read the reviews so knew what to expect. They did have a lounge with some good bites and selection of beverages
- James (6/5): Good rate but needs to be renovated - Beds are hard, no WiFi in rooms, no OJ for bfast, wallpaper in bathroom peeling, room was musty. Staff was friendly but hotel seriously needs to be updated.
- Caitlin (4/5): Location misleading - Though the hotel is great if you're looking for a cheap place to stay; however, the address of the Inn takes you all the way up to the Mountain Resorts at the top. We had to travel back down the Mountain once we realized that the address is misleading, since it is the very last hotel you see before you travel up the Mountain.
The condition of the Inn is also very old and outdated. The beds and pillows were a little uncomfortable, and the pool and hot tub were littered with dirt on the bottom.
If I return to SnowShoe, I'm just going to shell out the extra money and stay at the Resorts where all of the action is.
- Joseph (6/5): Good enough - Clean n spacious room. Plenty of towels.
Free wifi only available at the lobby. Free breakfast was very limited.
- Tommy (4/5): Never again! So disappointed! - I have been staying at the Inn at Snowshoe during the last weekend of September since 2008. There has been a steady decline in the hotel. Obviously the decision has been made to not put any money into the facility and it is quite sad. The pub/restaurant has been closed, the ski/apparel/gift shop has been removed, the wonderful breakfast buffet is no longer offered, the continental breakfast is a joke, the pool area is looking quite shabby as are the rooms. I booked 3 rooms this year as I had extended family come along for the weekend festivities and was quite embarrassed at the overall condition of the Inn. And resort fees! Are you kidding me? For what? What amenities were offered? Nothing comes to mind! Needless to say I will not be staying there again (if it is still open for business) NOR will I drive all the way on top of the mountain to stay in one of the "resorts" other facilities. I don't expect anything fancy but come on. When your facility is falling apart at the seams (literally) how in good conscious can you charge a resort fee? NEVER AGAIN!
- Joyce (4/5): No Accident!! - We made a deposit when booking with a cc. We printed our confirmation. When we arrived we had to make our way to the lobby through plastic lawn chairs and men smoking and drinking beer. We requested a handicapped room. The bathroom had a bar to assist with the toilet. It blocked the toilet paper and facial tissue box. The tub had an adjustable shower head and a grab bar on the side inside the tub; and NO grab bar to get into the tub. There was a adjustable chair TOO WIDE for the tub so that 2 legs would have to be on the floor beside the tub; or placed length wise leaving no room to get into the tub to sit on the chair. There was no shelf to place soap etc on and the surfaces of the tub were not flat but curved and the complimentary shampoos etc rolled off. In addition we were over charged after a 77$ deposit at booking and a debit of $154 to pay up before check out for convenience. The first staff member was pleasant and promulgated the RIP OFF with a smile. The evening replacement was intent on avoiding eye contact and very surley. The 3 day road trip was planned after a serious accident in March which caused the loss sight to my husbands right eye which is permanent. My intent was to help with the depression and relieve stress on both of us. If you ski and can't afford the a place at the mountain top Snow Shoe Resort; like to smoke and drink beer outside book this place; there is no other close by. Very long hallways for challenged seniors.
- Susan (8/5): Nice hotel - Very nice time at the hotel. Very comfortable bed. Only suggestion is needs brighter lighting. All else was nice.
- Glen (8/5): - This was the quietest motel I've stayed in, and that was nice. The walls had holes in them, and the headboard on one bed was skewed. That was a bit disconcerting. Also, the ice machine was in need of cleaning. The staff was courteous, and helpful. I would certainly stay there again.
- elaine (8/5): - hotel is in the mountains & attached to a group of hotels in showshoe which is a big ski & sports area; with the other hotels charging close to $200.00 a night it is a real bargain--especially since you can buy the same day passes to use all the sports facilities at snowshoe, the same as the other hotels; the rooms were nice, there is an indoor pool/hot tubs, the people were cordial; however, they list a restaurant as part of their facilities that no longer exists & restaurants are few in the area & either expensive or pizza/burger places; the hot breakfast advertised is a continental breakfast with meager offerings--nothing hot; there are no microwaves/
refrigerators in rooms or lobby so you can't even bring your own food; soda & snack machines are just candy/soda/snacks; i would definitely stay again but would be aware of the lack of facilities; you cannot beat the price; NO CELLPHONE SERVICE which i didn't mind in the least
- Butch (6/5): Poor continental breakfast - The continental breakfast was poor - stale pastries, out-of-date yogurt, few items for children, limited choices of food, staff slow to refill items that had run out - coffee, bagels. On final day, went across the street to a small restaurant for breakfast as did many other hotel guests. Lighting in the hotel rooms was poor - difficult to read at night.
- Jodie (8/5): Comfortable and easygoing - Greatly enjoyed my stay for 2 nights...close to everything without having to pay high dollar for the stay!! Friendly staff...clean room...awesome pool and hot tub...get some cell service and it would have been perfect...will come again!!
- Happy Hoosier (4/5): No internet in rooms, nothing in hotel open, - If you needed the Internet, you had to leave your room and set in the lobby to use, no cell service at all. Lounge was closed, we had originally planned to spend 2 nights, I cancelled my second night and paid a sizable penalty. Also was charged an additional tax upon arrival. Television in room was so snowy it was difficult to watch.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Special Event stay - The hotel was not actually open for the season but had opened to accommodate a special event in the area. It was nice but things were a little disorganized. It was appreciated that they did open but they could have prepared better.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Our children loved the pool and hot tubs!! - We took a long ski weekend. The hotel was easy to find, the kids loved the facility, and we loved the short distance to the ski resort.
- Selina (8/5): Convenient location to Snow Shoe Ski Resort - Enjoyed our stay and the amenities provided. Missed having Wi Fi capabilities, but that just comes with the location.
- Amy (10/5): hot tubs are nice after snowboarding all day - Great location just down the mountain from snowshoe. Loved the hot tubs and pool. Breakfast biscuits and gravy were good too. Front desk staff very friendly and laid back.
- Gary (6/5): It's an ok place to sleep - The company got group rates for ski passes at SnowShoe but we were responsible for our own lodging. The hotels on the mountain were $400 per night or do! We decided to stay at the Inn and drive 15 minutes to the ski resort. It was fine but outdated. There is no in room wi-fi and no refrigerator or coffee pot in the room. The free breakfast was ok but limited to cereal or fattening biscuits and gravy-yuk! I'd stay there again but would appreciate a little more of the modern conveniences! Also, the hot water ran out after my companion showered so I ended up with a cold shower after a long day of skiing!!!
- Yana (6/5): Nice hotel, but a little dated. - Nice hotel and ok staff but dated. Had no wifi in the rooms. Only at the lobby and a very bad one. There is no phone reception anywhere. So if you need a real getaway thats the place, no phone, no internet. Out of world. We felt bad at first but then felt ok being out of everything! Pool and jacuzzi! Enjoy
- Terri (8/5): Great Ski Location-Close to Snowshoe - Enjoyed our stay. The restaurant is not open any more, but the lounge was comfortable and had pizza and wings. The Pink Pig BBQ is just across the parking lot and has great BBQ. The free shuttle to Snowshoe is also a plus. Don't expect cell coverage for the last 1 1/2 to 2 hrs of driving into Snowshoe, so have your map printed off. The hotel is a little dated and not real cushy--but for the price, it is fine and at the bottom of the Snowshoe road--very convenient. Snowhoe has free wifi at the resort and in the common areas at The Inn, so you can still send iMessages and check your email. The indoor pool and 3 hot tubs felt great after a day on the slopes! We liked it and will definitely go back!
- Christian (4/5): Snowshoe was great, but the Inn was not - This hotel is located 7 miles down the hill from the main resort. You will need to take a bus that comes every hour. Be prepared for long lines for the bus on your way to and from the mountain during the weekend. For the Price this was not what i expected, next time i will pay the extra amount to stay at the top of the mountain
- Donald (6/5): Would Stay Here Again - Great facilities - pool, spa, bar with good clean rooms and free hourly bus service up the mountain. The only thing missing is WiFi in the rooms - you have to go to lobby to get WiFi. Would definitely stay there again.
- Steve (8/5): Overall decent room for the price. - Nice pool, basic continental breakfast, shuttle to Snow Shoe okay.
- mary (6/5): You get what you pay for - It's a little rundown and need some upgrades. No cell service for AT&T and the only wifi is in the lobby area.
- Sylvia L (10/5): Nice family get-a-way - Went to Snowshoe for a family Christmas vacation. Kids got to snowboard and ski while we hung out with our grandson. Hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. Indoor pool and hot tubs were very well maintained. The breakfast was very good. The food at the Village was a bit pricey so we ate at the café across the street from the hotel where the prices were much better. Service there was a little slow during the rush but everything was prepared when ordered so it was very fresh. There is also another little restaurant about a mile down the street from the hotel where the prices were even better. Sorry I can't remember the name but it is just past the gas station. After checking out my husband realized he did not have his pocket knife. We called the hotel and asked them to see they could check with the housekeeping staff to see if they may have found it. They said they would call us back after checking with them. About 20 minutes later they called and had found the knife and said they would send it to us. About a week later we received it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent - A little disappointed they got rid of the breakfast buffet they have had in the years past, but otherwise an excellent stay
- Brooke (6/5): Decent hotel - We went the day after Christmas to ski. We waited too late to book our trip to get something on top of the mountain. The Inn was the only place remaining with availability. I was very nervous after reading the reviews. It was outdated but wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It met our needs and our daughter loved the indoor pool/hot tub. We probably will not visit again though. We live in coastal alabama and were hoping for real snow. We ended up skiing on man made snow that was pretty icy. We can do that in a little closer proximity. The federally regulated quiet zone also posed real problems for us. We own a beach rental and had guests that got locked out during their stay. We didn't get the message until several hrs later when we were able to connect to wifi for only a few minutes. It appeared to our guests as though we were not attentive to their needs. We are refunding a portion if their rent to make amends.
- Nichole (6/5): Inn At Snowshoe - It was an older hotel and it worked for sleeping. It would be nice to have small refrigerators' and coffee pots in the room.
The employees were friendly and helpful.
- Yongdong (8/5): Good - Pretty good but the WiFi needs to be upgraded.
- gus@fiddlehead (6/5): Over-priced hotel with very few benefits - We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest (rightfully so) of the places to stay at Snowshoe. Housekeeping was shabby and communal areas including the pool, hallway, and eating area were noticeably grimy. Lacked simple necessities like towels at pool and continuously "all out" of offered things including pillows and several items from the breakfast. The hotel claims to have public wifi, but connection is weak and essentially unusable. Despite negatives, the staff was friendly and helpful to the best of their ability. I would highly consider paying the extra money to stay elsewhere on the mountain.
- Stuart (8/5): Tradition - Free wifi in the lobby, no cell service, nice people, bar with some good beer on tap, shuttle leaves hourly to get to top of mountain, great place for the price
- Mike (4/5): No clear direction to hotel, limited food near by. - I drove to the address at the top of the mountain and had to drive back down the other side to find the hotel. The only food near by is a pizza place and a Subway.
- Frank (10/5): Nice hotel, clean and helpful. - We had a good stay, no problems. We were on the first floor and had easy access to our room.
- Mark theTrain Photograph (10/5): Scenic Mountain Travels - I was very well pleased with my experience at The Inn at Snowshoe. It was close to my location that I was visiting and enjoyed the scenics roads traveled to get there. The location of the resort thru no fault of theirs has them in a limited area for WiFi, and no cell phone coverage, but it was kind of nice being bothered by people trying to get in touch with me. Internet access is only available in the hotel lobby area not individual rooms, but there was plenty of seats and had no trouble connecting to the outside world. I would stay there again if my travels took me to that part of the country...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - reasonable comfort at a good price. Good staff. Lift passes were included plus use of another nice pool at the resort. Snowshoe is a really nice resort. There is a lakeside restaurant and is a great place for those who like to mountain bike.
- Dave From Duluth GA (8/5): Nice Place, Good Deal - Location is 7 or 8 miles downhill from actual Snowshoe resort and attractions, but that's close enough. It was rainy and cold (for July), so nothing on the mountain was open or of interest to us at this time. The resort provided passes to many of the attractions, but since the attractions were closed these were not useful. We spent 2 days at the hotel and it was rather nice. The pool was small but very clean and fun. At either corner of the pool were hot tubs/jacuzzis- fun and relaxing. The breakfast was good, included scrambled eggs, biscuits, and gravy- so a little better than your average motel breakfast fare. The employees were nice and attentive to our needs. Room was clean, lots of towels. If things were perfect, then internet access would be available in the rooms. Instead, had to go into the lobby to log-on. Plugs for computers were not conveniently located, really a minor annoyance.
In my opinion, this is a nice place to stay offered at a great price. I'd go back!
- william (10/5): - We loved it there ..very nice place to stay .I would recommend it to anyone
- Distantlightning (8/5): Good location, clean, quiet but a bit Spartan. - The hotel is very difficult to contact, especially after hours. The reservation number doesn't answer after 5 PM and the number on the reservation confirmation is wrong, ringing a telemarketer's firm. I planned late arrival, and was concerned the front desk might close late at night. But, I could not contact them.
The writeup indicates that WiFi is available. But, it fails to mention this is only in the lobby. Since there is no cell communication in the area, and no mobile data, unless you want to stand in the lobby, plan to be incommunicado during your stay.
The continental breakfast is very, very basic. The coffee is instant from a machine and neither good nor stimulating .
The above criticisms would be easier to forgive were this a mom and pop hotel. But, not having WiFi in the rooms is hard to explain for one of the largest resort operators in the country. They will try and tell you there is no Internet because of the Green Bank Quiet Zone. But, this is simply not true.
OK... That's the bad. But, there is good:
The room was quite comfortable, if very dated. The beds were very comfortable. But, they were short. I am 5' 9" and my feet were hanging off unless my head was against the headboard. That was weird.
The hotel was very quiet. So, relaxing and sleeping in was very easy. It is also in a good location for exploring.
The price was right. Now that I know of the ropes, I would stay there again. I would recommend it to a friend, but, with the advance warnings above. The choices are quite limited in this area.
- Ann (8/5): good value - We were there to visit Cass and found the hotel convenient. Ate at two different restaurants at top of Showshoe.
- Gmaw (10/5): Railroad vs Hotel - I had always promised my 2 younger grandsons to take a train ride when they got big enough to leave their parents for longer than overnight. We arrived at The Inn at Snowshoe on Monday early evening, July 28, 2014. I had read the reviews before I left home and was really questioning the wisdom of staying there BUT with great delight we were more than pleased with the accommodations. The staff was MORE THAN polite and very helpful in directing us to a place to eat. We had NO trouble with the staff giving the boys towels after they had hit the pool and hot tubs on a daily basis. The "Inn" itself is NOT NEW, BUT kept very clean and in very good working order. The staff went out of their way to guide us to the RR and made sure we understood the timetable and need for us to be there at the RR depot early. We were given passes to the "ski resort on top of the mountain" with our sign in to the Inn. They were 4 day passes and allowed us to utilize the resort. BUT the boys were more than content to stay at the Inn and swim after a day of sightseeing. Once again the staff went out of their way to inform us of what points of interest were around the area. We had the opportunity to eat in the breakfast room every morning FREE of charge. They served biscuits and gravy, Danishes, cold/hot cereal, cocoa, coffee, and a variety of juices. We left on Thursday morning, July 31, 2014, and can honestly say that if we were to be in that area again, I would NOT hesitate to stay at the Inn.
- Greg (8/5): Nice hotel for the price. - Not a lot of things open for that time of the year. It was the off season at Snowshoe. A little disappointed that the lounge was not open 7 days a week. Yes, it is the off season, but there where guests staying at the inn.
- Verified traveler (6/5): great for the price - Very nice staff. Hotel is what you expect for the price. I always stay here when I go mountain biking at Snowshoe.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Wi-Fi and Soap - I was very disappointed that there was no Wi-Fi available at this hotel. Even the Super 8 I stayed in had free Wi-Fi, and this was supposed to be part of a ski resort. Also, I stayed at this hotel two nights and was given only one bar of soap for both days and for both the shower and sink. Come on. You can't leave more than one of those little bars of soap?
- Dave2299 (6/5): Great for Skiing - The room, pool, restaurant/bar were great. Must bring a bathing suit to use the pool & hot tubs.
WiFi is poor. None in the room. Often you can not get on in the lobby area. Breakfast is usually better. Since it was the end of the ski season, they had made to much on Saturday so by Monday you were eating 3 day old French toast or frozen waffles that were not heated up. Eggs were very good. Plenty of cereals. OJ was not working. Must have been trying to force people to drink up the cranberry & apple juice.
- College snowboarder (8/5): Good value stay - The inn at snowshoe provided comfortable living space for 2 while we snowboardes for 4 days. The shuttle up
the mountain was convenient. The hot tubs were nice to soak in after a day on the slopes. The free breakfast was pretty good too.
- Dawya (8/5): Ski trip with my daughter - I thought the inn at snowshoe was a very nice place to stay! Shuttle to the mountain was good. Very clean, breakfast was excellent! Staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would change are the pillows. Not very comfortable. Will be coming back next ski season!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Value - Great deals but you do get what you pay for. We've stayed here a couple of times and haven't been deterred yet.
- Melon Head (6/5): Inn at Snowshoe - the room was comfortable. I loved the shuttle service, I liked having breakfast included. Nice hot tub. The price was good.
They were short on staff, which I think affected the quality of service. They were going to clean our room but it was after we had gotten back from skiing. Since we were in the room we just asked for clean towels. I also felt they were short on help for breakfast. The dining room could have been cleaner. The french toast was so hard I couldn't eat it.
- EndlessWinter (6/5): Inn at Snowshoe - Gives Adequate a Bad Name - I wanted to like the Inn at Snowshoe. Unfortunately, its reasonable price didn't quite mitigate the overall shoddy and loveless environment. The entire building was permeated with an odd and unpleasant odor that seems unique to low end motels long past their sell by date.
The room however was spacious and adequate, and on the positive side, the staff really seemed to be trying but were clearly swimming upstream against flagging facilities and lack of resources.
At the low end of the experience the included "breakfast" was truly revolting and remarkably every single item on the buffet was both unattractive and inedible. We were forced to buy a box of cereal and some yogurt at the local gas station market.
- Junior (4/5): Hotel for 19th century - No WiFi, No fridge, BO inside the room, Bad food, No body wash or shampoo.
- GAmomof2 (8/5): Get what you pay for - Although the staff do their best to keep up with the traffic it's an ok place. Don't expect a full cleaning of your room during your stay. They only dump the trash, make your bed and bring fresh towels.
- Alfred (8/5): Great rate that is close to the slopes - The stay was much better then i thought it would be. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, shuttle buses ran on time and prices were hard to beat. Based on other reviewers I thought this would be a very run down hotel, but its not. Its just old but kept up pretty nicely. As a word of advice when navigating to this hotel. The address is not 10 snowshoe drive, that is the address of the main village which is 6 miles away on top of the mountain. type this into your GPS system( 38°24'56.5"N 80°02'12.8"W ). This hotel is located at the base of the mountain on rt66
- daddysgirl624 (6/5): good for a quick ski weekend place to crash - average hotel, average rooms & amenities. stayed here 2 nights w/ my husband. hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. short drive down the mountain from snowshoe village. across the street from a cute cafe (route 66) that had good pizza. might look for a different spot up the mountain next time but would probably stay here again depending on what else was available.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Was overcharged twice made me go negative in my bank account I will never ever go back to the hotel nasty
- Verified traveler (10/5): great experience - Nothing to complain about! Great time , good service, everyone was nice, clean,.
- Dave from VA (4/5): Not even Average - The Inn is convenient to Snow Shoe Ski slopes and the bus shuttle is a fantastic amenity--but the bed will be the worst you have ever slept upon. This hotel could really benefit in purchasing all new beds that are more relaxing. The bed was so uncomfortable, I left a day early without a rebate. On a positive note--they have three indoor hot tubs that are very soothing after a day on the slopes.
