Guest Reviews
- Christopher (8/5): - Expensive breakfast.
- Martha (10/5): - We have visited this property on numerous occasions staff are very welcoming and friendly room is spotless will be going back soon thank you
- Heather (10/5): - The room was very clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Excellent shower.
Easy walking distance to city centre.
The train station was next door so of course there was noise but earplugs resolved that.
Great value for being downtown with parking available.
- Jerome (10/5): - Great hotel
Well center, next to the train station
Easy walk to downtown restaurant, shopping and activities
- Noel (10/5): - Great location and staff. There's no bar but everything else was wonderful.
- David (8/5): Great location - The shower seems blocked and slow to drain. Could cause overflow to general floor area. Otherwise good apartment.
- John (10/5): - We visit Reims every couple of months and we always stay here since we found it have stayed at other places this place has everything we need the staff are excellent extremely friendly will be back in October thank you again
- Lynsay (10/5): - Great stay
Super close to rail line and the city
- Susan (10/5): This is a great hotel and a residence home. - I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel and the personnel working there. It is in a funky location yet oddly safe and so convenient to the Reims Train Station. They have parking, a washer and drier, and very comfortable rooms. The manager that was on staff when we arrived was professional, welcoming, and an all around great person. He helped me work the laundry machines and was very kind; he was so amazing that when I was talking about him to the day manager (perhaps his boss), another guest spoke up and agreed with me that the young man was stellar.
From the reviews, they warn about not getting a room that is next to the train tracks. Those rooms are like right next to the train tracks, but that apparently is a Monday thru Friday thing as it was silent until almost 8am on Saturday morning. I was going to use the 6am train as an alarm. Fortunately I woke up on my own at 6:30am. Our room was clean and comfortable. Comes with a small kitchenette which is perfect for those people that maybe wanting a residence home/hall near the university or to cook your own food.
The hotel is located close to everything on foot, bus, or car, and we wish we had more time to enjoy the city.
- Denice (10/5): - Good location and clean. Had a room overlooking the train tracks but wasn't an issue.
- Garth (10/5): Good location , good value for money - Well located, we had the disabled suite, plenty of room, staff friendly and obliging. Would recommend
- Martha Smith (10/5): - We love staying here every time we visit Reins see you soon thank u again Eloise is very charming and an asset to your company
- Richard (8/5): Basic but clean near Reims centre. - Basic but adequate accommodation very near the main street of Reims. 5 minute walk. Limited parking available, which is fine out of season, but probably fills up early in the main season. Ask for a room away from the railway station side as you can hear the trains early in the morning on the train line side!
- Richard (8/5): Convenient hotel near centre with parking - Convenient hotel within walking distance of main town centre. Basic, but clean and well equipped rooms with a small kitchenette. Rooms away from the railway side are nice and quiet
- John (10/5): - Love this place keep going back 🍾🍾
- Mohammed (2/5): - Please mention in your advertisement that there is no elevator & has narrow steep stairs
- Kim (10/5): - Perfect spot for citytrip to Reims
- Elena (8/5): - Good location and breakfast
- John (10/5): - The staff are extremely friendly love this place
- Shirley (10/5): - Location excellent. Very close to metro station and great information from reception about how to use. Fabulous bakery across the road.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent support by Blaise after the pick-up with the booking
- Giovanna (8/5): - The hotel is right behind the train tracks, you hear the noise until the trains stop running around 10-11 pm.
Internet not good. It only worked one day the next day none. I was out all day, I just needed at night , but I was not able to work due to the lack of connection , no I did not went down late at night to get it fix.
Other than these 2 issues, the place was clean , very spacious, with kitchenette, a fan ( No AC) tiny screen for tv.and very big shower, the entire bathroom was really large.
- Charlotte (6/5): Fit for purpose. Budget. - Ok. Fit for purpose, ie all the basic things like a bed etc.
- Amanda (10/5): - It was perfectly positioned, within walking distance of the centre (through a beautiful park) and all the attractions. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The receptionist gave us a street map on arrival and pointed out good areas for eating and where to avoid. The room itself was very well appointed, plenty of kitchen equipment and very comfortable bed.
Being right in the centre meant there was a lot of traffic noise with the windows open, but all went quiet overnight.
Highly recommend!
- Linda (8/5): - Central, clean and convenient
- Martha Smith (10/5): - Have been to Reims four times before this was the best place very helpful nothing was a bother will return 🍾
- caleb (8/5): Basically an apartment - Large room with a kitchenette. Close to town center. Only complaints- spotty WiFi and figuring out how to access parking.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel near to train station - Nice aparthotel near to Reims train station. Was a bit noisy in the morning with the trains, but overall nice stay with large bed and bathroom and sufficient kitchen area. Would stay here again.
- ALAN (10/5): - Very convenient location for the rail station and town. Good value accommodation
- Catherine (6/5): - Plus sides; handy location for city centre, comfy bed, decent shower, kitchenette, secure parking available Negatives; extremely souless, extras seemed expensive (parking, dogs, breakfast), erratic heating, microwave broken, only provided towels for one person. OK for one night passing through but that would be long enough.
- Sally (6/5): - The hotel room was a pleasant surprise compared to the outside which is pretty tired. However we did discover a lamp with an electric cable parcel-taped together which had unsurprisingly come apart leaving bare electric cables showing. The bed was comfortable and the pillows actually decent, which is a rarety in France. Appreciate that it is a budget stay, but bare electrics are dangerous and never acceptable no matter what the budget.
- Karen (8/5): Reims 2 day stay - This was a very convenient location. Very clean and staff was friendly. Beds were comfortable.
- William (10/5): Where I stay in Reims - I came to Reims to pick up a puppy and this hotel is probably the best set up for dogs. I also had a car and it is the most accommodating for parking of any hotel in the center of town, I've been to in France. The bed and the pillows were better than the CDG Hilton. The closest restaurant to the hotel is one of my favorites. There are plenty other restaurants to choose from.
- William (10/5): I always stay here when I'm in Reims - This Residhome has everything I need. It's just 200 meters from a promenade with tens of restaurants and every kind of store you might need. Very close to the train station, too. Rooms are clean and the bed and the pillows are more comfortable than some big name hotels. There is parking at a reasonable price and dogs are allowed typically on the first floor. I felt very safe on the first floor and it was very convenient for my dog.
- Jonathan Menard (2/5): - I no longer have trust in the Expedia rating system.I feel the rating of greater than 8 is incredibly misleading. It is dirty, mold in the bathroom (I have pictures). Area is less than ideal. Internet is terrible. The price is cheap but the rating very misleading.
- Maria Lynette (10/5): - It is close to the train station and the town center. The staff are helpful and accommodating.
- Andreas (10/5): Great simple accommodation at a fair price - Simple and very good accomodation in the centre of town. Parking available.
- Greg (8/5): - Stayed one night to visit sites in Reims. The property is right by the main train station, so there is some noise from there. Nice having parking on-site (must reserve and additional fee), but somewhat inconvenient to get luggage between parking and hotel entrance. WiFi is on an unsecured network. Overall, it met our needs for the night.
- STEWART (8/5): Good hotel, good location - No air-conditioning in the room and being right on the train line noisy with the window open.
Parking on site
- Tracy (8/5): - Great location
Good value
- jane (10/5): Friendly reception ,great location - Great location near station , short walk to cathedral and across from lovely park 2 Nd stay here
- Graeme (10/5): - Everything was good.
- Chihiro (10/5): - Nice location to take a train!
- Au Yeung Ying (6/5): - No air conditioning at room. Hotel provided electric fan but noisy.
Location is good and near train station, but not recommend at summer time.
- Margaret (10/5): - This is a very handy place to stay in Reims, close to the station and local trams. A lovely city to visit.
- Marah (2/5): Would never go back. - The staff was incredibly rude and rolled their eyes at us when we asked for the restroom.
- ELVA (10/5): - We were only there for one night but the room was nice.
It was large and had good amenities such as acoffee pot frig etc.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable and convenient - Great room, very spacious, clean and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were very comfortable here for a week, and I would happily stay again. It is conveniently located near the station, the central square and central attractions.
- David (10/5): - Very close to the station for trains and buses, restaurants are a short walk away as were all shops required! We didn't use the car once during our stay!
- RoySusan (10/5): Well positioned and exceptionally comfortable - The hotel was brilliantly placed, well equipped and very comfortable. We especially liked the kitchenette and the little box with sponge, washing up liquid and bin liner.
The parking was easily accessed and felt secure. The breakfast was good too.
- Nina (8/5): Convenient location for stopover. - A convenient stopover place on our way back from holiday in Italy. Great central location, Reims centre is easily reached by foot. Great to have kitchen facilities. Only problem was that the room was very warm and it faced a main road. Keeping the window open at night to cool the room down meant a lot of noise from the road.
- Bruce (10/5): - Conveniently located close to station and city centre
- Dale (8/5): - Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful!
- stephen (10/5): - Convenience to shops and bars
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to the train station, big room - The property is about 3 mins walk from the train station, and 5 mins from the Place Drouet d'Erlon which has all the restaurants. The room is quite big compared to other hotels in the same price range and it has kitchen facilities. We're supposed to drop our bags before check in, but they let us check-in early. I guess the only thing is that they only gave 1 set of towels (1 big, 1 small) for 2 pax. We also didn't hear the trains despite the proximity of the property to the track (ours was facing the rail). Other than that, very good stay.
- Brad (8/5): - Spacious. Right next to the train tracks, so could hear that. Room was a little cold. Hôtel is not designed for pedestrian entrance, had to roll bags under gate for cars. One washing machine worked, other spewed water, dryer didn’t work. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Was only given one towel for two people.
- Charlene (10/5): Great place for a stopover - Great comfy place in perfect location .place was spotless and reception staff very friendly
- stephen (10/5): - Well positioned property close to bars and restaurants. Nice park for dog walking
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Always have great stay at Residhome. Friendly helpful staff who speak english. Good park to walk our dog and close to bars and restaurants.
- Loutfi (10/5): - bon service,la chambre excellente, propre et équipée au niveau de la cuisine.
Tres bien
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Second stay.
Comfortable rooms, all you need for short stay to self cater/eat out.
5 minutes to the main drag so handy for everything but away from any noise.
Staff are very courteous and helpful.
Would stay here again.
Dog friendly too!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The studio had kitchen facilities making it easy to self cater. Close to the train bus and trams so getting around was very easy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good condition and beautiful place ..........excelent service in the front desk
- Verified traveler (10/5): - New building, come with full kitchen. Clean and friendly staff. Only problem is entryway is not on mean street and sign is small, big building with not easy find entry.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Good value. - Spacious, spotless and comfortable. Close to main railway station, so convenient if arriving by train.
- Gunnar (8/5): - Easy acces to motorway
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fine spot - Lovely hotel/ residence the sheets were clean and room was in good condition and staff were friendly.
- Anthony (10/5): Best stay in France - Valerie is an amazing host. Cute and Small Bed and Breakfest. She will provide you with knowledge of the area. The breakfest is to die for different traditional French cuisine every morning. If you are looking for a small and reserved accommodation this is it. Easy to get to from the train. Along with restaurants right out the front door of the B&B. Would stay again when I come back to Bayuex.
- Michael (6/5): Convenient location - Unfortunate circumstances relevant only to this occasion, blighted our stay at the hotel. Check-in was straight forward and the hotel is very convenient for the city centre. However, the following problems need to be mentioned. The lights in our room didn'y initially work - rectified very quickly. Parking is very difficult and insufficient places are available at a cost of 9€ /night. The day and night were very warm and there is NO aircon only an inadequate fan. The firidge not working compounded the heat issue. Having said all of that we would stay there again as the above can easily be recified.
- Marshall (8/5): - Easy to the train and walking downtown. Clean, good service. A little hard to find if walking. Door is up an alley.
- Linda (8/5): Great trainspotting in central location! - Location adjacent to railway station while great for accessing Reims centre, meant windows had to remain closed during the heatwave with no air conditioning. Under normal circumstances there would not have been a problem.
- Megan (8/5): Good choice - Clean room with decent facilities, close to Reims centre and the main bar/restaurant area.
- Steven (4/5): Ask for Better Room - The hotel is in a great location to old town, five minute walk. Tons of places to eat in this area. It was within walking distance of the football/soccer stadium, 20 minutes.
The heater/AC did not work at all. They put a fan in the room.
The shower head would only point towards the back wall. Every time you tried to get close to the wall to get under the water, you would bump the control and change the water temp or turn it off.
The Wi-Fi was slow and would drop us off and would not let you log back on for an hour or two each night.
- Bonnie (10/5): Perfect Location - Hotel location is great. The room was nice size and kitchenette was unexpected benefit. Bed was large for a double and comfy. Shower was very nice. We stayed overnight and picked this hotel for location to center Reims and the stadium; perfect. Only negative was that we were on the train station side so a little noisy even with windows closed (could hear train announcements).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is next to the high speed train from Paris so easy to get to from the train. The country champagne tours leave from the train station c a r park. Also very convienint. It is walking distance to main resturant and bar area. There is a bus that stops out the front that goes through town to most tourist spots. (You need a ticket before you get on) Reims pass will work. The appartment was spacious although some kitchen items were missing. An iron and irning bozrd would be good. Laundry on site was great.
- Barbara (10/5): Traveller - Very good stayed two nights on trip to Spain could have stayed longer. Everything you need.
- Rose (8/5): - This apartment is close to the station and so it is convenient.
However, because the access to the entrance is far away, the visitors have to go around and it takes more time than it looks.
Anyway, it is convenient to go sightseeing and shopping.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good value for money. Close to train station and downtown Reims
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was perfect- only couple of minute walk to station and five to town centre. Staff spoke English, were extremely welcoming and very helpful. Tea/coffee in room and mini kitchen absolutely perfect. We will definitely book again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good value - We’ve stayed in Reims before and this was cheaper than previous hotels and just as good. There was no hot water on the first morning because they had a boiler breakdown but they gave us a free breakfast to apologise. Very helpful and friendly staff and rooms are basic but value for money and match their photos. Although you can hear the trains, with the volets down at night, the sound is not intrusive and frankly less than the rain on the window.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not recommended - Location is the not thing good. Bed is terrible uncomfortable, service is basic. I will not live there again.
- Eric (10/5): - Great location right next to the main train station staff was very helpful laundry on site easy walking distance to everything love it
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No acrobatics involved for getting computer and cell phone charged! I liked the coffee in the room. The only thing we didn't find in the kitchen that might have been useful is a bottle opener but we probably just didn't find it among all the other stuff. We did have our own so everything worked well.
One of the stops on the #4 bus is just outside the property.
It is near the train station. However, most transport to "Reims" gets you to the newer train station that is outside the city. Don't worry though -- less than 2 Euro gets you a tram ride to the old train station and then getting to here is a breeze.
Would have looked up this brand more often if we had stayed at one earlier in our trip.
- emile (2/5): - they do not make the room, bed undone.no new fresh towels..they say this is not a hotel but an apartment
- Gillian (10/5): - Excellent
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, wonderful room, helpful staff. Location was great, city sights and restaurants within walking distance. The only negative was the confusing parking set up as others have noted. The listing said parking reservations were needed, but there was no way to make the reservation. There are 2 gates with voice boxes located 50 meters apart along the street, but you need to use the eastern (?) one to get to registration. We eventually parked in a nearby, free overnight, outside public parking area and paid during the day.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Convenient, clean, spacious apartment - 3-minute walk to the train station. Other Reims attraction are within walking distance or short tram ride away. Highly recommended.
- sidika (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Next to train station. No issues, highly recommended. This is my third visit to Reims,, first visit at this hotel however it won't be my last.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ok. Close to train station. 5 min walk from start of main boulevard in town. Clean. Comfy bed. Good bathroom. Little kitchenette. Not a big room but ok. Hot water runs out pretty quickly in morning during peak use time. Not enough milk tea coffee if you are staying for few days. Had to ask for more. Had to keep window open at night as got stuffy- glad i wasnt there in middle of summer. No air con.No satellite tv so only in french which is a problem if not french speaker. Breakfast was good. Overall it was good acco and comfortable and inexpensive. for area. Made travelling to reims on my own a lot easier.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Simple room in a good location. Good price quality ratio. - A bit noisy.
- Martin (4/5): It is fair... could be much better - The fridge was too noisy. The wifi was almost unusable. And you really have to wait until 3 PM to get the room (most hotels let you get in sooner with my experience); I was there at 2 PM.
- Colbree (6/5): Excellent hotel in city centre - Excellent hotel in city centre, friendly staff and modern facilities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, often use as stop over when travelling from UK to Europe. Always clean and comfy; can be very warm in summer but have a fan.
- Gethin (6/5): Meh. - Very, very basic room. No air conditioning at all! It was 27 degrees at night and the little broken fan did nothing. Also there was a surprise parking fee per night.
Not as close to the centre as you’d think and not on a great street. Pretty basic and ok for the price.
- Mike (6/5): Basic but does the job - Well located for the train station and city centre and very reasonably priced. Room was a decent size. Kitchenette had the required facilities. Quiet - but couldn't leave window open due to train station noise (rooms 7 to 15 at the back). Tower fan was just about adequate.
- Mary (6/5): Too hot! - Without air conditioning our stay was uncomfortable. We had a fan and opened the windows but we were right next to the station so had trains parked up and running at all hours. Sadly I would not recommend this hotel in summer but in winter it would be just fine. Location was very convenient and staff very friendly. Facilities were good.
- Michael (8/5): Reasonable value overnight stop. - Good location. Parking limited. No air conditioning. Reasonable value overall.
- Jen (6/5): Book your parking - We had just driven for 6 hours to teach the hotel to find that parking was unavailable as we hadn’t booked. There’s obviously it enough parking for the number of rooms and I hadn’t noticed during the booking process that we had to request parking, we were told to find a space on the road. We did, but this meant a walk back to the hotel with our bags. The room was basic, but clean and well equipped except for an air conditioning unit which seem to be standard in most hotels on the continent, but not this one! The bed was comfortable but not a great night sleep due to the heat, hence my low ratings. I would recommend but not in the summer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No air con in the room so was a little hot but no other problems and we had a very good stay.
- Lee (8/5): Bubbles without troubles! - 500m walk to a Champagne house, another 300m to the market and a fabulous fresh fish restaurant - location, location, location - and there is parking!!!
