- amanda (8/5): - Rooms were clean, the rooms were older but the staff has been updating them. I would classify this as a retro hotel. Pricing was wonderful, location was perfect. There is housekeeping and they come 1x a day take out trash, dust, vacuum and swap towels. They do not change your sheets. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. I was concerned with the mix of good and bad reviews but after being there with a few family members with a few different rooms, it's a great choice for a budget.

- Anthony (2/5): - The first room I got had a big ass dead roach and the carpet wasn’t vacuumed and there was a plastic bag covering the smoke detector which was ladder high there was blood on the top blanket and a black mark on the sheets I complained to management they transferred me to another room but was surprised that the room wasn’t cleaned than the other room key didn’t work I had to make like 4 trips in and down the stairs to get my key reactivated after it worked the carpet still wasn’t vacuumed the beds were cleaned but there was a big ass roach on the wall. Than the next day I woke up and found a big ass roach on the vanity. I came down for navy graduation so all hotels were sold out so I had no other option to stay here.

- Amelia (2/5): - We changed 3 different rooms in just 1 day! The first room was on the very far end of the 2nd floor. Very dark and the furnitures were like in the 50's. Smelly! The 2nd room has broken bathroom door broken; i can't close and lock it. The front door where the chain was connected to the trim came off and fell on the floor. It looks like someone push it hard from the outside that the door trim got busted. This concerned me very much. All night long people above us kept on stomping their feet. Walking all night long. We were not able to sleep. To make matter worst, 5 am they turned the music on so loud! I couldn't call the front desk afraid of retaliation. (if you can call it a front desk. A small window with a glass and a bar. I guess for their own security). The following day before the check out, I complained and demanded my remaining 2 nights to be refunded. Fortunately, they did. The place is so run down, Disgusting! I don't believe there are other costumers checked in. Very few cars parked at the parking lot. It makes me wonder how this place still in business.

- Scott D (6/5): Doing their best - It’s not the nicest hotel, it’s also not labeled as such. We had one of the 2 story rooms, it gave our family the rest and space we needed. Any of the staff we encountered were very kind and helpful. It looks like they’re in an ongoing process of making the property better, on a daily basis. We had no major issues with our stay.

- Kayla (2/5): Dont Book! - My family and I had a horrible experience the room had 3 beds it had an upstairs and it was so hot no air would go up there ceiling fan would not work. No one ever cleaned our rooms we stayed 5 nights and our sheets never got changed we only got towels cause we had to ask and they refused to give us more towels. No remotes or batteries. No one asked us if we needed anything or any trash taken we had to do it all ourselves. As a navy family we are very upset we had such a horrible experience.

- Tiana (4/5): - Rented a family room. Horrible smell of smoke, condition of linen was stained. Requested a different room. The smell wasn’t as bad but the shower and toilet was gross. There was water in the bathtub with a drain stopper in place. There were no towels. When I went to the counter to request, they gave me 3. Mind you, it’s a family room. I told them there’s 6 of us. He said there’s no laundry lady today. We had to wait a whole day for towels. Unacceptable.

Even had to change my room twice because of how dirty they were still got a really dirty and smelly room. It had a lot of insects especially cockroaches and got so many bites at night. Couldn't even sleep one night and I really don't recommend wasting your money here.

- Erin (6/5): So so for the money - It’s very dated and not very clean. The bathroom floor had a soft spot and you feel like you’re going to fall through to the room below. No one cleaned our room in 4 days or emptied the trash. The tv is hung on the wall above a tall dresser so if your on the bed you have to stand up to change the channel.

- Beth (10/5): - This place is a dump. I closed the door and put the chain on for extra security and the door frame fell off. Bathroom door has a hole in it plus is cracked at the bottom making it difficult to open and close. Mold or something on the bathroom ceiling. Black cob webs in the bathroom.2 towels for 3 people. Heating/cooling system was either broken or hard to understand. Slept in a 63 degree room. The only thing good was the beds were soft and cable tv. Falls under “you get what you pay for”

- Verified traveler (4/5): Do not book - This hotel was absolutely not as advertised. The pictures on the sight are not at all what this property looks like. The room was very dusty. Beds very uncomfortable. Only 3 small towels in the room stains on the bed spread. The room has not been thoroughly cleaned. I bought my own cleaning supplies to disinfect and clean up the room. The outside of the hotel looks horrible broken windows, trash outside of other rooms. It’s very gloomy, the fridge was nasty and old. The phone dirty carpet dirty. I’m very disappointed and feel that I was duped. Beware of cheap hotels. The price may seem good but it’s definitely not worth it. Fuzzy tv. Thin walls. Dull lighting. Very much false advertising.

- Mohsen (2/5): - This was the worst hotel, ever. It was the only available one for that night and our flight got delayed so we had to stay overnight. The blankets had holes in them, the bathroom had a big slab of what appeared to be poop on the wall. There were holes everywhere. You could hear the people in the next room and above you, loud and clear. The people upstairs were up the entire night!! Horrible, horrible hotel. Absolutely disgusting!!

- Berenice (2/5): Stinky Nasty Red carpet - Room stinks not a single person to clean up the rooms, blood on the bedsheets, cold water, faucets broken, front desk person named Roman was rude and aggressive. Would Not recommended for anyone whos going to the Navy graduation ceremony. My family and I we left the hotel because the unsafe place. Before I ask for the reimbursement of remaining days the front desk person Roman toll me that we wouldn't have any money in return.

- Stephania (8/5): - You get what you paid for, it was convenient for me because it was close to the naval base but they should do better I was scared to death because the room lock looked like someone tried to break in, the bedspread had cigarette burn, the towels had red stains on them, the shower was not working well and to make matters worse the day of my check out as I walked to the door to open at 10:58 mind you checkout is at 11, that girl knocked door screaming scared the heck out of me when I ask her if that her way to chase people out of this place she said “oh no I just knock and say front desk” like what, girl you scared the heck out of me. Never again red carpet, do better and please don't say that I notified the front desk I'm not the first one talking about it everything should have been fixed, never again red carpet.

The room smelled like a giant ashtray. The blankets were dirty and had cigarette burns in them. I pulled back the sheets and there were stains in them too…. Like old period stains….. It was so gross…. So I went to lay the bath towels out over the comforter, but the towels had black stains on them as well. I booked it up out of there as fast as I could.

- James (2/5): Stay Away From This Place - At some point, the door to the room had been kicked in with the chain on it. Door frame was ripped apart and not fixed and no new chain. Room smelled of smoke and had cigarette burns in the bedding. Plastic covers over the lampshades with stickers that said to remove before use.

- Jennifer (2/5): Find a better place - I guess like they say you get what you pay for. The bathroom had cigarette burns all over the tub and toilet. The bed felt like it was crooked and slanted. There was no table in the room. They only came once in the 5 days to clean the room. Never gave fresh towels unless I went to the front desk. There are mold spots in the bathroom. As soon as I got home I washed all my clothes to make sure I didn't bring any critters home. Oh and the 1 day someone did clean the room they left my window open and some guy pooped his head IN MY WINDOW and scared the life out of me and my daughter.i would never waste my money here again.

- Andrew (6/5): - The location near the naval recruit training center. Very convenient. It was very nice to park next to the room on the 1st floor. It made bringing luggage to the room very easy. I wish they served a hot breakfast. We had to find a place to eat breakfast.

- Chris (4/5): - The property is conveniently located near great lakes navel station which was nice and they had the lowest prices in the area but this for sure "get what you pay for" hotel. There is no amenities at the location to speak of they didnt even have clothes hangers in our room. However, worst of all was the cleanliness/condition of the rooms we had gnats in our room when we checked in that took us 2 days to get rid of and our AC unit was being held up by a few small pieces of wood. If you just need a place to stay for a couple days it works.

Never offered additional towels or linens or anything. Vending machine had old snacks. Half of the tv channels didn't work. Bathroom was super tiny.
