• Geoff (8/5): - Our room was a delight to stay in, in fact I would rate it a superb room. Beautifully presented, clean, modern. Only comment is that we like fresh air, and the windows were in fact doors with no flywire, so the bathroom door was left open because the bathroom window was open and had flywire.

• Paul (8/5): Hahndorf stay - The stay was great. Excellent location and really friendly and helpful staff. The only problem is that the public does not respect our privacy. We woke up one afternoon with laughter and loud talking. There was a group of Indians were taking photos and sitting outside the apartment. They left after we spoken to them but that was not the only time we had people there. There should be signage to let people know that the area is for residents only. The carpet was is in need of a serious clean which we conveyed to them. Apart from that it was a great apartment and well positioned. We loved it!
• Rose (8/5): - Had a great stay! Bed very comfortable. Everything there that we needed! Close to shops and restaurants. Lovely spot! Room ticked all the boxes except there was something going on with wet area on carpet in front to bathroom door. Initially thought it was from bathroom but after 2 days realised there must be a pipe broken under the floor! Apart from that everything was prefect
• Marilyn (8/5): - Property is right in the heart of Hahndorf. We were given an upstairs apartment. Not the best if you have large suitcases. The stairway is inside the apartments. Lovely shower although our showerhead needed a good clean and descale. Otherwise all good. Have stayed before and would stay again in a downstairs apartment.
• Nathan (10/5): - Right in the middle of the Main Street of Hahndorf. 2 doos up from the Haus German Restaurant and walking distance from everything. Communication with staff great and catered to our needs in every way. Will return.

• LIDIE (6/5): - See NO need for minibar as items extremely expensive and there is an IGA Across the road. Was extremely disappointed with lack of complimentary coffee tea and poor choice of soap for shower. But fortunately we do take our own coffee tea and personal items. So not too important. Apartment was neat comfortable and clean. Just see no need for expensive minibar items. They may as well safe money and remove that. They advertised Foxtel but was not connected.
• Rod (10/5): - Perfectly situated for browsing the many interesting shops. Plenty of places to have a meal or stop for coffee and cake. The Studios have everything you would need for a home away from home. Good attention to detail, with hairdryer, iron and ironing board, spare blankets etc.We would definitely stay here again.

The studio probably could do with a bit of paint work in bathroom the window sill was in need of attention. Had a ‘black’ something on it and overhead shower head could do with replacing as has green on it guess from water . Only minor but has overall affect on the look .

Nice and quiet (except for the restaurant staff emptying bins late at night) - our studio was at the back of the block. Parked our car right out the front and enjoyed wine & cheese on our front deck at sunset. Room was large with a kitchenette and clean ensuite. Loved the side jets in the shower! Walking distance to everywhere. Would definitely stay again.

• Tania (8/5): - A lovely clean apartment in a fabulous location. It is within walking distance to everything. An extremely comfortable king bed. Excellent sized shower. Only minor (and I mean mior) thing was that the block of chocolate and crinkles were where the free biscuits, coffee and tea were. Be careful these are from the mini bar. Would definitely stay again!

• Verified traveler (8/5): - The location is fantastic and parking convenient. We had an upstairs room - if possible ask for a downstairs room as they are much lighter and brighter. My one complaint - the sachets of Nescafé coffee and bushels tea, and broken Arnotts biscuits push this stay down into a lower star bracket - the accommodation is worthy of better coffee/tea and maybe some small local treats.
• sharon (10/5): - Beautiful suite. Central to everything and very well appointed. Found reception staff a little condescending and sarcastic. The suites are 1 of 3 accomodation types Haus offer and manage out of 1 shop front but thats mot clear initially....so i asked what appeared to seem like silly questions and reception made me feel silly. 1 question was Is breakfast served in Haus restaurant which happened to b next to the suites? Wasnt sure if there was a diff onsite breakfast area as Haus looked lovely but set up as a Brasserie ? I got a look like i was stupid. I found a brochure in Haus restaurant with a deal for accomodation , dinner and wine so asked at reception was this still valid ? Response was ..." well obviously not if u have already booked ?" ......i tactfully replied we were considering staying a 2nd night....oh !!! Was the response. Shame reception let down a stunning accomodation option....prob wouldnt go back based on that

• Karen (10/5): Great little studio in the heart of Hahndorf - Arrived in Hahndorf late morning and although it was quite busy in the street finding our accommodation and parking was easy. Very streamlined check in (in our case a little early). The studio is just off the main street but very quiet. Pedestrian access to the Main Street through a lovely garden walk. The studio itself was perfect for our three night stay. Lovely comfy bed, nice bathroom and small but adequate kitchen (we only ate breakfast in the unit). Lots of lovely shops and restaurants in the Main Street. Nice to wonder up and down the Main Street. Tried some other restaurants and pubs but once we ate at The Haus Restaurant, we didn't eat anywhere else. Easy drive to Mount Lofty and other attractions. Hans Heysen house, garden and studio is highly recommended.
• Julie A (10/5): Overnight stay - As depicted in photos and better. Looks amazing from the moment you step in. Spotlessly clean, new, rooms with great modern design and decor. Very quiet on the night we stayed. Great central location to Hahndorf Main Street, shops, eateries and local hills attractions. Only thing we were confused about was the need to cross the road to get to reception, but that was ok once we found it. I recommend dining at the Haus restaurant where the service is extended and good food at reasonable prices

• Vignes (10/5): Perfect in every way! - Lovely location right on the main street but sheltered, beautiful flowers around the little cottage and all of the necessary amenities required within the room. The little kitchenette was a life saver to prep meals for our 1 year old.

• Jules (10/5): - Lovely clean rooms, in a great location - the parking at back was easy to find and manoeuvre our large camper into for a few nights of luxury before hitting the road again. Yummy meals at the restaurant and LOVED the huge shower with extra jets after a week of camping!! As it was very hot, (and being an upstairs studio) the A/C struggled to keep up so a ceiling fan for improved air circulation would be my only suggestion for improvement (and that's being pretty picky!!)

• Steve (6/5): OK, but not for older couples - We had a hard time finding the motel at night and in the rain. The reception is across the road which was also hard to find as there was no outside lighting. We ended up getting an upstairs apartment which was nice, but the stairs are steep.

• Paula (10/5): Romantic Break Away - A beautiful few days away. The Haus Accomodation was very spacious, clean, tidy, comfortable and convenient to everything. The huge shower was amazing! The gardens on the property was so simple yet absolutely stunning. We sat by the waterfall nearly everyday just soaking in the atmosphere.
• Kaye (4/5): Great location but security problems - I dont think its acceptable in this day and age to have the same entrance door as a stranger to enter the room you have booked. Personal safety and comfort is compromised. An otherwise lovely room came off second best because of this feature. No mention was made of this when booking. If places have these double entrance ways keyed the same, potential guests need to be notified before booking.

The negatives: the free wi-fi kept dropping out, the air conditioner was noisy, and the heavy footed guests in the upstairs studio.

• Chris (8/5): Great position in Handorf - Nicely position behind buildings fronting main street so away from traffic and high pedestrian traffic in day time. First time stayed in evening in Handorf was nice to walk around when not so busy. Liked that it had its own car parking area.

The garden area is beautiful, but as the visit continued, we could not get Foxtel to work, and did not want the intrusion of any staff coming in to look at it, as we were tired and worn out after a busy day. The problem was discussed over the phone to desk staff, but the issue was not resolved. The old two bed together creating a king size bed is a bit boring, and the lock to the bed roller on the corner was sticking out, my husbands toe got hooked on it, and was very painful for him. No hairdryer, as I had left home that morning, without doing my hair, and left it to have a shower before tea, and after a long day, ended up going to tea with damp hair, which is not really my look.

Although this may be a bit on the pricey side we found that this property is by far the best. Thank you Manna!

• Julie (10/5): Lovely and quiet place - We had a lovely stay. My husband wanted to take me away for the Australia Day holiday as it was one year from when my mother had passed as she died on Australia Day and it was going to be difficult day. Unfortunately I had also come down very unwell but it was too late to cancel so we still stayed. I have to say the bed was very comfortable as that is were I spent my entire time there. But we were very comfortable and my husband had a lovely pizza from The Haus. We would love to have had a meal together but I was just to sick. We did however have breakfast at The Haus and that was lovely. So hopefully we get to have another stay there and this time I hope not to be sick. We were concerned about being in the ground level apartment as we have stayed in a few and listened to the stomping of people upstairs. So the lady was nice enough to give us one that she had not as yet booked the upstairs apartment and we were lucky enough for it to stay empty so it was a very quiet night.

We were impressed how quiet the room was - with windows shut we didn't notice any external noise (we were upstairs). Everything was slightly nicer than I had expected - happy customer!
