Only issue I had was the noise from moving furniture on the 5th floor at 8am (we were on 4th floor), that woke and kept us up, after getting to the hotel at 3am. Also, was tough to cool down, and the air conditioner was super loud! Those were my only complaints, overall a good stay!

- Leigh W (8/5): Best Location in Lima with Best Customer Service - The most outstanding features of this hotel are its location and customer service. If this is your top concern, I highly recommend Casa Fanning. Both Barranco and Mira Flores are within walking distance, and you can easily access public transportation (the metro stop is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel) if you are interested in exploring Centro Lima. I cannot thank Monica (one of the front desk employees) enough for all of the helpful advice that she provided my husband and I during our stay. Our trip was entirely planned out with standby tickets; we arrived in Casa Fanning earlier than expected and left for Cusco (the next destination in our Peru trip) also earlier than originally planned. Casa Fanning and its staff were more than willing to change our booking without charging us for the cancellations. Concerning the room itself, everything was pretty basic but clean and spacious. We stayed in a bedroom with attached common room and small kitchen. The bathroom is a little tight with not the best ventilation system and the shower heater is very old-school. We were in Lima during the dry season (also winter in that area); the common room can get pretty cold, with just one portable heater provided for the bedroom. The breakfast was also basic but very delicious, and every morning we had different options for the egg selection. My husband always left the hotel a little hungry but I was more than satisfied with the food.

Only complaint was that the shower was only luke warm at best. We told the front desk and they said they would have it fixed but even after they came and looked at it there was no difference.

Also, the transfer from the airport ripped us off. 75 soles to get from the airport to the hotel, but the reverse is 60?! Also, transfer to the airport was too early and we felt rushed. Other than that, it was an okay experience. Spacious room, comfortable bed and hot showers.

The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious and the complimentary breakfast was a nice added bonus. It's located near the main roads but far enough away to be quiet at night. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and would re-book on our next trip.

- E H (8/5): Amazingly helpful staff at this hotel - The staff at this hotel, all of whom speak great English, were so amazingly helpful to me in dealing with travel problems (luggage lost by airline). They phoned up the airline, made appointments for me, organised and instructed taxis etc. I cannot stress how helpful they were. There was none of the "that's not my job" attitude that you get places elsewhere. Breakfast is great, and Barranco is a great neighbourhood, better than its immediate neighbour Miraflores, I think. Would stay here again.

Utilized the hotel's coordinated taxi ride from the airport ($22) and to AP ($18). Hotel is tucked away in what appears to be a safe neighborhood and might be difficult to locate if you are coming in after hours.

- Simon saiwing (6/5): average hotel but cheap - walkable ro restsurants and main shopping areas in 15-20mins. the room rate is cheap for acoomodation in that area but aircondition only available in the bedroom (weak) but not in the dinning room. we cut our stay short n changed to another hotel becos it was extremely hot that time in Lima. the hotel charged me 5soles for printing my bus tickets which i think is expensive. And taxi arranged by the hotel is more expensive than 4 stars hotel.
