Guest Reviews
- catherine (10/5): The annex was a convenient and comfortable place to stay -
- MARIE NOELLE (9/5): Cosy et calme - Très cosy et calme. Propre et confortable. Hôtes à l écoute et attentionnés. Mieux que sur les photos.
Super pub à 5min Rose & Crown. Et super petit déjeuner ou afternoon tea à Old Dairy 3min. A pied ! Si on devait chercher un point à améliorer : une petite table + chaises pour la terrasse permettraient de manger à l extérieur. Mais cela reste un détail.
- jordi (7/5): Correcte - L’espai confortable i ben decorat, la facilitat del check-in i que pots aparcar ben aprop Que no tingui cuina i si has d’utilitzar plats o tasses les has de pujar a rentar al lavabo, una mica incòmode
- Sarah (8/5): Quiet, clean, great location between Bristol and Bath - It has its own access to the unit so you can come and go as you please. It’s very quiet and clean. There’s not much room for luggage in the bedroom (we left our suitcases downstairs), and you have to mind your head on the sloping ceiling in the bathroom
- Lissa (10/5): Exceptional - Comfy, clean, modern. Perfect spot for visiting Bristol & Bath with Cheddar Gorge only 50 mins away. George couldn't do more to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Will be highly recommending to all. Not a thing wrong...fab stay!!
- Shirley (6/5): Convenient for elderly relatives living in the village - Unfortunately there was no breakfast, which had I known before hand I could have prepared. How can it be advertised as a B&B when no breakfast is provided I would advise this B&B would benefit a younger clientele, as the bed is in a very small place also very low as is the settee. To fill the kettle with water that's a trip up stairs to the bathroom.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): Very nice place and we would happily stay again. - Property was clean and welcoming.
- Adam (9/5): Perfect place for up to two people with all that you need - Perfect for single person. Very clean and comfortable and perfectly placed. Felt safe - just what was needed
- Fayona (8/5): Very good -
- Jeffrey (8/5): Quiet annexe in small village - Quiet location in a small retirement village. Easy to find. Not having a sink downstairs to wash dishes or fill the kettle. We had to use the shower as the bowl provided didn't fit in the bathroom sink, same with the kettle, it was also too big to fit in the sink. Only little things, but a bit strange?
- Laoye (10/5): Felt like home - Our recent stay at Orchard Cottage was simply amazing. We were greeted and made to feel at ease the moment we arrived. The comfortable atmosphere, mixed with the host's great welcome, provided an amazing experience. The cottage was tastefully designed, with thoughtful details that made us feel perfectly at home. The living room was comfortable and inviting, ideal for unwinding after a full day of exploration. The wonderful couple were very helpful and accommodating. They were always ready to address our questions. We would strongly suggest this Airbnb to anyone seeking a tranquil and pleasant holiday. Thank you for making our stay memorable! Everything was perfect
- Sarah (8/5): Great hosts and quiet location - Very friendly and welcoming hosts, and a great shower! There’s no water downstairs for filling the kettle or washing up.
- Katrina (8/5): Nice place very clean comfortable and perfect for what we needed . - Very clean and comfortable. Would’ve been nice to have a little seat outside .. was extremely warm week . Just an idea x
- Linus (10/5): Everything about the place is very clear and spot on. No issues to complain - Excellent The last person that use the toilet didn't clean up
- Adam (6/5): Pleasant - Everything was very good
- Wayne (10/5): WPVW Australia - A beautiful cottage accomodation. Great layout, lovely friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect!! An added bonus was their very friendly pet dog 'Stanley'. Definitely recommend this property and would have no hesitation to stay there again. 😎🤙❤️ We only had 3 nights here.... a week at minimum would have been perfect!!
- Penny (8/5): Very good - Easy to find, clean, and comfortable . Lovely en- suite and plenty of towels. No kitchen sink , have to take the plates upstairs or the washing up bowl up and down to the bathroom
- Paul (8/5): Nice and cosy - Good communication with the owners for the key, directions etc. I won't say much (for obvious reasons) but access was made easy. The place is very nice, clean and (according to my aunt) comfortable. There was WiFi but I forgot to let her have the code so she didn't use it - my bad. The small space dictated what was available but (being the sort of person she is) my aunt would have liked a small kitchenette area as she didn't like not leaving all the dishes not fully clean. From my perspective (and I admit that I didn't ask) it would be useful to possibly offer a breakfast option for solo travelers but this didn't mar the stay at all.
- Chris (8/5): Very good - Good entry instructions. Very clean and tidy, new fittings. Comfortable bed. Plenty of power points. Kettle, toaster and microwave present but a little impractical to use (limited space, only water in upstairs bathroom sink.).
Heating erratic - first night I had to ask for it to be turned on; second night was cold again but nobody in to ask. In the morning, however, it was too hot at 7am.
Pity the Spar has closed down, miles to another decent shop.
- Donna (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent for us for work. Hosts & Stanley their dog were amazing. It was very clean & comfortable, bed was comfortable too. Parking was excellent off street parking. No sink or water downstairs had to use sink in bathroom. Lovely large TV downstairs but not a streaming TV no Netflix or Prime only normal channels.
- Sandra (9/5): Lovely cosy and clean accommodation - Natalie and George are fantastic hosts and I was made to feel very welcome. The annexe was peaceful and warm, and very homely. Just right for one person, or a couple, and I would be very happy to stay here again. Plenty of hot water and good shower (though smaller than I am used to). Small fridge and kettle at one end of the sofa and microwave, plates and cutlery on a shelving unit at the other end. Tea/coffee provided, but bring your own toiletries, milk and biscuits! Orchard Cottage was absolutely great for me, but it is compact and no water supply downstairs so you have to go upstairs to wash up etc. Reduced headroom in bathroom.
- William (9/5): Superb - Compact,clean and comfortable.
Welcoming, pleasant hosts O
- Jackie (8/5): Very comfortable stay - The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished and is cosy and comfortable. The location for us was absolutely excellent because my daughter lives within easy walking distance in the village. There are facilities (microwave, toaster and fridge) for making a basic breakfast or heating a ready-meal, but the dishes need to be taken upstairs to the shower room, where the basin is just a bit too small for washing up - a washing up bowl is provided and it's by no means impossible to manage washing up after a meal, but it is a bit unsatisfactory and if you can plan to eat out - there are two good pubs in the village - it's probably a better option than eating in.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Sandra (3/5): False advertising, not a B&B, small annex to fend for yourself? - What did you like? that it was very clean we had to go out and get some breakfast as there wasn't No milk or welcome pack the shower was to small could hardly move in it not any room to move around the bed Advertise as cottage, shock to arrived at a small annex
- Alun (8/5): Very good - Clean and spacious Limited catering and washing up facilities
- Rajwinder (9/5): Clean and comfortable -
- Pope (8/5): Very good - It was clean and tidy ,ideal for a base It's a very little criticism, but the only place I could find to put the toaster was on the floor , but the rest was wonderful ,everything you should need
- Edwina (9/5): Comfortable place to stay in a great location - Good location. Easy access. Good communication. Clean and tidy apartment. Parking nearby was taken up nearby. Only a problem on the night we arrived due to the awful weather!
- Brian (9/5): Great location for Bath and Bristol, clean and comfortable - Clean, airy, with all handy cutlery, bowls, plates, microwave and fridge, ideal for making snacks Bedroom a little on the compact size, but fine really. Very hot weekend, so fans would have been useful
- Cattle (8/5): Location was very good for our needs - No breakfast included More comfy sofa and a sink downstairs in kitchen area to have water for kettle and washing up etc. Would gave been much appreciated rather than having to go upstairs to bathroom.
- Joseph (10/5): This was a perfect location. Close to buses, and the Crematory, which was the reason for my visit. - Breakfast was not included. There was nothing that I disliked.
- Sally (9/5): An apple of a place - It was very quiet , wonderfully decorated and easily accessible. I liked everything , but there isn't any views.
I was there for the balloon fiesta but couldn't see the sky ....mind you not sure I could have seen them from here anyway .
- Helen (10/5): Highly recommended! - Lovely stay, very quiet area. Excellent facilities and lots of lovely touches (fridge, microwave, crockery etc). Great comms and very friendly hosts. Nothing
- Tracy (7/5): Good - Compact and relaxed owners. I am sorry I did not manage to meet you. I arrived later than expected. My fault, I do not cook with a microwave, so instructions with the super Jetstream microwave would have assisted me!
Also a knife would have been useful, for food preparation.
- Bradley (10/5): Exceptional - So peaceful, very homely ,I like the place so much I've booked indefinitely
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely comfortable stay ☺️
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional - New fresh warm everything you wanted including porridge and tea and coffee items Nothing .great place to stay cafe and pub food 5mins away
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (8/5): Nice and comfortable place. Close to all the amenities. - Location was good. Close to my office and local to my community work. There is no kitchen sink
The grey stained sofa
- Becki (7/5): Was fine for the purpose of our stay - visiting family nearby, so not spending a long time in property. - Very quiet location, nice space. No way of controlling heating so quite cold. Sofa was stained and the arm was broken. No washing up liquid to clean dishes.
- Anonymous (10/5): loved it was perfect and was the hosts and Stan the dog - so clean a peaceful nothing
- Ian1965 (8/5): Quit and cosy - A lovely annex with privacy and all your needs under one roof. Easy to find and park nearby.Ate out everyday so didn’t require the breakfast.
Very quiet and comfortable There was dust and dirt under the toaster and behind the Sky box. The cutlery was dirty. I could have done with another pillow. There was a large stain on the sofa I don’t know what it was.
- Alwriter (9/5): Superb -
- Teresa (8/5): OK place for a few days - Privacy.Televison down stairs very good. Settee was very uncomfortable to sit on.TV in bedroom didn't work.No iron.
- Sebastian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (10/5): Wonderful cottage and located perfectly to enjoy both Bristol and the surrounding countryside. - Perfect spot to enjoy both Bristol (and surrounding cities/towns) and the countryside. Everything was in perfect order when we arrived and all instructions concerning the check in were perfectly clear. No disappointing things found. But if I have to name something it would be related to a local pub, not Orchard cottage, the fries were a bit greasy.
- Jake (9/5): Superb -
- Phillip (9/5): great little gem of a B&B - quiet location, spotlessly clean and comfortable
- Veronika (8/5): Very good -
