Bedroom comfortable & warm. Tea tray with biscuits most welcome. 5 minutes walk to very good pub for evening meal. Very handy for city centre Limited parking on site but parking discs available from .owner for on street parking. Stairs to top floor bedrooms might be difficult for guests with limited mobility. Check with owner for ground/1st floor rooms.

• Janice (6/5): - We made multiple attempts to communicate w the property (phone calls, knocking in the door, ringing the bell) over a couple hours to drop our bags. We had reached out about dropping bags early. We were unable to ever reach anyone after arrival until late in afternoon.

• Jill (9/5): A lovely break in Carlisle made all the better by a friendly and comfortable stay at this guesthouse - We were very warmly welcomed and nothing was too much trouble for our host in order to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The room and breakfast room were well decorated and fresh. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. I would have rated a full 10, but felt that the towels in the room were rather thin and well-worn and could have done with updating.

• Rob (7/5): - It was in a good location being walking distance to the center of town and railway station and was pretty quiet being on the corner of a small intersection. Breakfast was nice. The bed was narrow for two people. It's something we have experienced often in England so it is not out of character to other places. Size of room is the limiting factor. We found it cold in the room. To be fair we could have asked for the heating to be turned up but didn't.

• Didem (10/5): Perfect hotel - Walking distance from train station and almost everywhere in the city. Carlisle is litterally small but the hotel is in perfect location. Beautifully decorated to the details, rooms are cozy and warm, clean and tidy. You will immediately feel home. Nice English breakfast and endless English tea. The host was also super helpful. Almost everything was perfect, cant say bad thing about it and i mean it. Maybe influenced by my London experiences ☺️.
• Colett (10/5): Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert - Für unsere Zwecke war die Unterkunft perfekt gelegen- an der Ausfahrtsstraße zum Ring, wir konnten schon am Vormittag den Schlüssel erhalten, der Empfang war sehr freundlich, die Atmosphäre angenehm, das Zimmer und das Bad ausreichend groß, sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Bett genau richtig für uns. Das Frühstück war für englische Verhältnisse sehr gut. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden.

• Clare (10/5): Cosy, comfortable stay in Carlisle - I couldn't fault anything with my stay at Warwick Lodge - the host was warm, welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable and had everything I could need for my stay. The guest house is very well located for easy walking access to Carlisle, but it's quiet enough being not immediately in the city centre. The breakfast offering was brilliant; plenty of choice for a vegetarian! There's nothing I didn't like or that I think needs improvement.

I have come to expect small, dark, basement, cheap rooms from cheap bookings on booking.com. However this room was decorated beautifully but tiny.

My room was a bit hot plus duvet too thick. The road outside has a fair amount of traffic noise so opening the window not really an option. (Btw: I find most accommodation too hot so maybe it’s my problem)

Welcoming and helpful owner. Good location, in easy walking distance of the city centre and station. No noise from other guests and surprisingly little traffic noise. Excellent breakfast. Much more relaxing and comfortable than a modern clinical hotel.

• Ruth (10/5): - We had a wonderful overnight 'mother and daughter' stay. Caron is an amazing host and made us feel so welcome. We had a twin room (No 5) towards the top of the house. It was a very spacious room, beautifully decorated and had everything you needed including lovely comfy beds. The guesthouse is spotlessly clean and decorated to a very high standard with some great art work. Caron made us feel at home and spent quite a while chatting with us. The cooked breakfast was first class. We had yogurt to start with and then a full english made with local products followed by toast with a selection of jams etc. The coffee was from a caffetaire and was wonderful as was the tea. The dining room is very large but felt so cosy and warm again wonderfully decorated. Warwick Lodge is in a great location for restaurants, bars, the castle, cathedral, shops and railway station. Parking is provided but this was not needed as we travelled by train and just a 10 min walk from the station. We had a wonderful stay, thank you Caron for everything.

A couple of pubs just a few minutes walk away with a choice of menus . We did not realize they offer a guest parking permit,as all around is permit holders only . However Caron managed to squeeze us in to her own space . So thankyou .

• Lora (10/5): - The owner, Caron quickly became my bestie. She keeps everything immaculately clean, communicates with the guests and you can tell she loves what she does! Towels were fluffy and soft, beds were comfy. Parking was a little tricky and if you can't park on site, she has parking passes that you can use. Please know that this is a lovely old Victorian home and therefore doesn't have an elevator. Breakfast was amazing! Caron provided cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, juice and coffee or tea. You can ALSO order a hot breakfast along with everything mentioned. Caron is wonderful and I would definitely stay here again! Stores, and a golf course are all within walking distance. You won't be disappointed staying here!
