Guest Reviews
- glenda (10/5): - The owners are amazing people!!
- Colleen (10/5): - What a little gem we found! While we did not stay in a hut, our room in the main house was just perfect for our family of three. We enjoyed chatting with our hosts, and the breakfast was superb!
- David (10/5): - Hosts were fantastic!! Breakfast was EXCELLENT!! Would highly recommend this location. Would stay again for sure. We stayed in the bed and breakfast portion. Our room was large, clean and quiet. Couldn’t ask for more. STAY HERE
- Davina (8/5): Weekend away for a wedding - We stayed here for 4 nights for a wedding. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and explained everything about the facilities very well. The room was lovely but unfortunately not a great deal of space to put 2 suitcases, albeit we had one in the wardrobe but didn’t want to put the other one in there with our wedding attire hanging down.
- Ciaran (4/5): - Summary: Room and bathroom were grand but I've never had such an unwelcoming check-in.
Had a long drive from the previous accommodation and were thankful to get to this next accommodation. When I arrived I said my name and I mistakenly said I booked a room outside (instead of a room inside in the guestroom). Our host Ken seemed so hostile asking "Who are you?! Who are you?!", even after restating my name. I was so confused and felt like I had just walked into a strangers house who was shocked, defensive and angry to see me. After realising I booked the guestroom I got a "don't come in telling me you ordered a glamping room when you booked a room in the guestroom".
I booked the family room (1 double and 2 single beds) for myself and a friend. The frustration grew when Ken said I should of stated we needed 2 seperate beds for 2 people as only the double bed was prepped and we're now "creating more work" for him. We did get spare sheets and we made up one of the single beds.
The room and bathroom otherwise were good and no issues, but the confusion and shock of the check-in really tainted our stay. I don't know if it was anger at something else redirected at us but it was the worst check-in experience I've ever had and will not be back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Eriskay Glamping - We had a wonderful glamping stay - very comfortable. Everything you need is there including the option for an excellent breakfast. Ken and Jill were very good hosts and nothing too much trouble.
- Lewis (10/5): Brilliant wee place - it was brilliant to stay in the wee hut. It was very charming, clean and cozy for myself and my better half. The owners were very helpful and friendly and gave us good local knowledge about good pubs and lovely walks to take. The optional breakfast was fantastic and they were able to accommodate to our dietary needs.
- Jase (10/5): 10/10 Stay - We had a superb stay a Eriskay, Ken and Gill made us feel extremely welcome and the breakfast was 10/10. We will definitely go back. The Eriskay is perfectly situated to explore the surrounding area.
- David (10/5): - Ken and Gill are the perfect hosts! Cook to order breakfast, amazing coffee, and pastries. We were heading to Skye after our stay and Ken gave us a route that we thoroughly enjoyed! Coos on the side of the road, waterfall hikes, and a trip around Loch Ness were included in his advice. Do not hesitate to stay at this amazing property.
- christine (10/5): - Cute glamping pod, had everything one could need in a very clever use of space, nice shower, comfortable beds. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious home cooked and well worth it. Set back from the main road so nice and quiet.
- kirsty (10/5): - Loved our stay!! thank you!
- Roxana (10/5): - Very quiet. So many special touches that make this property appealing plus comfortable. The hosts were welcoming and very informative. A lovely stay.
- Sandra (10/5): - Ken and Jill were excellent hosts. Very helpful!!!!
- Yeo Dasheng (10/5): - Friendly hosts made us feel welcome upon arrival. Homemade breakfast was great. Highly recommended
- Ed (8/5): - We have done a few other glamping trips before, so we are familiar with the uniqueness of these places. Our little pod was comfy; tho we had a bit of a dampness issue the next day upon return from our day of activity. The weather had definitely been wet, so probably not unexpected; however getting the dampness out took some extra time of keeping the door open all night and the heater turned up. The hosts did give us another duvet comfort cover to replace the original; we still had a damp smell for part of the evening. Overall, the stay was nice, the breakfast was exceptional, the hosts are very lovely and friendly.
- E (10/5): Perfect :) - My stay at Eriskay was a highlight of my trip! Hosts Ken and Gill are so welcoming and create a lovely atmosphere amongst the guests. Breakfast is exceptional - Gill is a fantastic cook and everything is beautifully presented. My room was on the small side but spotlessly clean and comfortable. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Eriskay - I’ll be coming back here again :)
- Joan (8/5): - Liked the property and gardens and seating areas. Well maintained and cared for.
- Joseph (10/5): Great B&B - The couple running eriskay were very hospitable and friendly. They made sure I had everything I needed and more.
- dawson (10/5): Amazing - Stay was amazing. Gill and Ken make you feel so welcome. The breakfasts were amazing and glamping pods were superb. Will definitely be back.
- Tam Yuk (8/5): - Good service.
- Adele (10/5): A little gem! - Absolute gem of a place .... hidden in a little cul-de-sac off the main road. The owners Ken and Gill were super friendly and the breakfasts both morning were lovely! Despite not staying in one of the pods (my error) the guest room was just perfect and had everything you would need for a few nights stay. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Aviemore.
- Bill (10/5): Visit April 2022 - Very comfortable accommodation and lovely hospitable hosts. Super breakfast too.
- Krystina (10/5): Phenomenal - Absolutely amazing! They were wonderful hosts. I felt welcome from the second I pulled in.
Breakfast was delicious.
Gave ideas of things to do and were very accommodating.
I hope to come back and stay again from the U.S.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The welcome was excellent gave us a lot of information and directions to where we we eating later which were spot on. The property is at the end of a quiet road close to all amenities. Sky tv in the lounge tea and coffee making facilities in room plus tv. They have an adorable cat& dog which popped about through our stay. Possibly one of the best places we've stayed in in 5 years of visiting Scotland. Well worth a visit
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location for Aviemore - just a short walk from the centre and the train station. Very friendly hosts and a quiet location at night. The room and communal areas were very clean.

- jim (10/5): Great place to stay in Aviemore - Cannot fault our stay on anything, hosts could not do enough to ensure we had all we needed. The room was clean, the bed and linen were very comfortable the breakfast was all local sourced food and was plentyfull and of the highest quality
Cannot recomend enough.
- Claire (10/5): Excellent and would highly recommend - The host and hostess were fantastic, really warm welcome that continued into the evening, beautiful surroundings and also let us play board games in their main room and chilled our drinks In the fridge for us. Really good with kids, couldn’t fault it. Upon booking I thought it was very expensive but upon leaving we thought the price was very fair for the welcome and service we received. Awesome homemade breakfast too, would highly recommend and thanks to Ken and Jill for making our evening in Aviemore a night to remember x
- Chun Tung Randolph (10/5): 10/10! - The room is clean and comfy with complimentary homemade cookies, and there is a nice little warm bothy for me to reheat food from supermarket and to have dinner in there. A friendly host family with lovely pets!

Comfortable
Great breakfast
- John (8/5): Marie and John at Eriskay. - We stayed in the pods at Eriskay, very clean and all you need for a comfy stay.
- Alissa (10/5): Recommended - Convenient location...can walk to all of the shops and restaurants in town. Owners are lovely. Room was comfortable with a nice shower.
- Ellen (8/5): - Fantastic host Pat was very welcoming and gave us good info about the area. The B&B is about 15 mins walk from the train station along the high street. Beds in the main house were comfortable, would have been nice to be able to open the windows a bit more due to the high humidity and warmth during our visit. Breakfasts were generous and tasty. One minor complaint, towels were very rough and perhaps would benefit from the use of dryer balls or similar to soften them up a bit. Overall a lovely place to stay in Aviemore.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very helpful owners and a great breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Delightful place. Room small but had everything. Ownerz friendly breakfast excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Glamping in a B&B in residential Aviemore - A cross between a tiny cruise liner and a caracampavan, but very luxurious. Impressive design ,round window and arched roof. If you are an XL person, only room for one to be comfy, bit too cosy for a double?Secluded, quiet but well sited within suburban Aviemore and only a mile from Macdonalds complex and conferences?
- Hannah (10/5): You won’t be disappointed - We have come to this bnb twice now and haven’t been disappointed. The hospitality is great and good scenic location
- Rusty (10/5): A great B&B close to the centre of Aviemore - A great B&B, a warm friendly place to stay. I would definitively recommend staying at Eriskay if visiting Aviemore. Some of my colleagues also stay there from time to time and they were complementary about the B&B.
The breakfast choice is very good and well prepared.
- Eriskay B and B (10/5): Lovely place in Aviemore - Nice, clean, good host
- eilidh (10/5): Nice guest house closes to town centre - Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing would recommend it to anyone
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely place, so quiet and friendly, we stayed in the pods and they were beautiful!
- James (10/5): Just about perfect! - Last minute booking and Ann our host was amazing. Very comfortable and an amazing breakfast!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, neat, and so quiet! Truly well run and delightful.
- Lyndall (10/5): Great concept, lovely location - The glamping pods are a wonderful experience! They are fairly self contained, cleverly designed, warm and cosy to stay in. Although compact, everything in the pod has been designed with this in mind from the clever wet room (combined shower / toilet) to space underneath the bed for luggage to be slipped away.
The location in Avimore is also great, walkable distances to local restaurants, pubs, cafes and supermarkets. It's a great base if you're also wanting to explore the highlands and take in a few local walks. A very enjoyable stay!
- Jackie (10/5): Lovely B+B - Lovely B+B, great location, in main house but next time will stay in Glamping pods!
- Melissa (8/5): Perfect stay - A great stay. Ideally situated to get about Aviemore. Very friendly hosts. Good price too.
- S-J (10/5): Would really recommend - Stayed in the pods, close to the Main Street, really modern and clean, nice and cosy, would stay again.
- Sana (10/5): Fantastic - Me and my Girlfriend decided to stay here for a weekend getaway. The pods were very clean and equipped with all the amenities. Our hosts were wonderful, they even dropped us off at the loch and train station as we never had a car. Overall a fantastic stay and we highly recommend Eriskay B&B Pods.
Blair and Sana
- Sophie (10/5): Lovely, homely, well kitted out pods! - Ideal location with parking and walking distance to local pubs, cafes and restaurants. Pods are well kitted out with everything you would need, clean and very cosy. Loved my two stays here so far!
- rose (10/5): Modern clean on suite pods with all you could need - Lovely relaxing stay in a lovely setting couldnt ask for more
- sam (10/5): Very charming and accommodating host. - The room was fine for the price, great value. The setting however is really charming, will be sure to stay in one of their "pods" next time.
Very accommodating host as I was a late arrival. Great breakfast!
Will revisit for sure.
- Ayeisha (10/5): Will definitely be back!! - The pods are a lot more spacious than you would imagine and very modern inside. Very handy having a fridge/kettle in the pod also as well as cutlery/glasses/plates etc. Even teabags and salt!! A lot of thought has been put into how space is used in the pod and the design is fab!!!
- Irene (10/5): First Class B&B! - First Class B&B and friendly welcome. Room was excellent.
- Jon (10/5): Bed & Breakfast in Aviemore - Best - We had a great time. The Inn Keeper is amazing. She made us feel welcome and she did a wonderful job with our room, breakfast, and talking about the town.
- Vicki (8/5): Great b&b - Lovely stay, pleasant area, convenient parking on site, room clean and tidy, quiet neighbourhood despite busy weekend in town.
- Luc (10/5): Everything was Perfect! - The staff was just great--the owners. Great people, so friendly and happy and cheerful! We missed a sign on the way, so we found it a bit tricky to get to. But once there we were so pleased! The reviews were more than true. Everything was perfect, I haven't got a single complaint! And of course, Rufus was adorable. Breakfast was delicious and definitely worth the £5 per head. It was a pleasure, thanks so much!
- jonathan (10/5): Great place to stay - Had a great stay. The pod was comfortable and clean and had tea and coffee facilities. Loved pod hq where we had our breakfast both days. If the weather had been better we would have definitely have tried out the fire pit.
- sohail (8/5): Staying in a pod - This is the first time I stayed in a garden pod,'it was very nice and cozy. There was s communal kitten with required utensils.
Rating overall good to stay.
- Zin Yee Cheryl (10/5): Relaxing trip in a lovely room - We love the room! It is small but it has everything we needed and is very comfortable! Pat and Alan are also very nice and helped us a lot during our stay :)
- Not Provided (10/5): Great stay! - We had a wonderful night. Pat was very friendly and recommended several places for us to try for supper. She also told us about the fireworks that we're going to be going on in a few hours after we arrived. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and cooked to order. I would highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Best coffee entire trip. - Short overnight, adequate facilities, excellent breakfast, best coffee in Cairngorms.
- Sharron (10/5): Nice on suite room close to main drag - Loved it. Good breakfast and comfortable room. Lovely chat with Owner while she was busy working
- al (10/5): Just what you need after day in the hills - Hotel is warm
And comfortable. Welcome was very warm and inviting. Good hot coffee after a day cold and wet on the hill. Good value for money, clean and great comfort. See you next year
- brian (10/5): friendly - excellent accommodation, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Near to Lindisfarne and farne islands.saw our puffins. great boat trip.
- phil and andrea (10/5): Very nice place to stay - Very nice people, make you fell very welcome and relaxed on arrival, clean and tidy and good breakfest.*****
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good stay - I headed up for a brief break walking in the Rothiemurchus forest and needed accommodation for a night. On arrival our host showed us to our room and offered tea or coffee and biscuits served within their living room - a nice touch as tea/coffee facilities already available in the room, but a good welcome to Eriskay. Note that breakfast is not included, but well worth the small surcharge (paid on site) with a range of full Scottish cooked, continental and vegetarian options available - just order it in the evening, a sample menu is available. Offered good advice for a place to eat in the evening and a discount for a recommended bar (Ben Macdui Inn). The accommodation is only around 5 minutes walk from the central shopping area of Aviemore, so easy to get into town. There is also free wifi offered in Eriskay, so you can (if you want) keep up to date with your family and friends. The rooms were warm, beds comfortable, bathroom clean and tidy and there were heavy curtains to keep the light out at night. All in all, a great base to explore a wonderful region of Scotland.
