- Sara (8/5): A great stay. - When we arrived we were welcomed by our hostess and taken round to the shepherd hut. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The bed was high standard and we slept well. Breakfast was goid and included a vegetarian option. It was brought to our door and was still very warm. Wevloved hearing the birds singing and even saw a woodpecker in the hedge opposite. There was a plug in heater, for which we were grateful as we stayed in February! The only things to be aware of is if you want an upgrade on tbe standard breakfast there is a surcharge and the app is a bit of a hassle to use. It is easier to buy some bread and make some extra toast! We will definitely visit again and recommend!

- Lizzie (10/5): Five star luxury. Just Wonderful - Wow, this place is unbelievable. Spotlessly clean and luxurious. The bed, oh god the bed was just so comfortable, I didn't want to leave. Lots of pillows so i could sit up and watch the tv and properly relax. Mini fridge with fresh milk and cold water is a wonderful touch of luxury along with many other delightful extras. The breakfast was superb. Loved having it delivered to the door so didn't have to get dressed, much more relaxed morning. The bedroom, bathroom and standard of service belong in a five star hotel. I will definitely be back. I had a nosey round the rest of the site, and its all wonderful. I love the idea of borrowing a canoe from there and heading down the river. Then chiling with a picnic in the charming garden

We paid a surcharge for breakfast but it was well worth it, tasty locally sourced produce and excellent value, we didn’t want to leave.

All the staff were super friendly and helpful - we took advantage of the canoe and kayak hire - great fun. - Clive (8/5): - There was confusion over pet friendly, its not for all rooms, had booked unknowingly a non pet friendly room. The owner very kindly sorted it out. Be careful of this, and pets are charged extra.
- Oliver (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Compact and cosy shepherds huts with everything you would need. Plenty of cooking equipment including a microwave, plug in hob, toaster and loads of utensils. The log burner is great and once its going warms up the room quickly! the electric radiator also warms the room quickly if you're not feeling like making a fire. Was staying in the area for work and found it a great alternative to the humdrum of a hotel room and a place I could cook my own food. Hannah and Debs went out of their way to make me feel welcome including bringing more firelighters to the hut when I'd run out. Would highly recommend for a memorable and cosy stay!
- Julie (10/5): Shepherd's Hut perfect for quiet escape - Just wanted a few days escape from the grind and the Shepherd's Hut was perfect. The interior is clean, well thought out and full of little extras (toiletries, utensils, toaster) that showed the hosts wanted you to enjoy it. Breakfast was yummy and would thoroughly recommend, shower was also surprisingly good and bed very comfortable.

The whole site was really peaceful and relaxing. We would definately stay again but maybe not in really hot weather - we did take a fan to keep us cool. It would be lovely to stay in winter with the log burner. Owners are really friendly and the take away breakfasts are lovely .

The shepherds hut was tucked away from the camp site so was lovely and peaceful and also really clean throughout! We ordered breakfast which was delivered to the cabin and they catered for my partners gluten free requirement which was fantastic. The river was through a secure gate and Had room for fishing, canoeing etc and was a lovely walk along to the town. Everything was great and we will be back! Thank you

We had a lovely stroll along the canal before going out for dinner. We even slept through a noisy thunderstorm so had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was really great, best we've had for a long while. Bev and John made us very welcome and we plan to return for a short relaxing break again. Couldn't fault anything. Thank you.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely stunning shepherds hideaway! Much bigger than it seems in the pictures and beautifully kitted out. It’s warm and cosy, we went there in torrential rain and the hideaway was the perfect place to escape. The people are lovely, they think of all the little details like providing milk and tea and coffee, they also had kindling and logs there ready for us as it was a bit chilly. They can’t do enough for you and the whole place is really quiet and peaceful.

- RubyandCo (10/5): Shepherd's Hut treat! - The Shepherd's Hut was fabulous! Great décor and everything we needed - warm and snug even though it is now October. Loved the sheep cushions and the comfy king sized bed. Owners Dan and Bev and Pauline who showed us around were all lovely and friendly and available throughout. Great walk down along the river path and although we didn't book a breakfast, I wish we had because they looked and smelled delicious. We will definitely be back!

Very large en-suite bathroom excellent value for our one night stay. Hosts were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Large breakfast also included. Would definitely book again and recommend to friends and family as has campsite facilities too. Intrigued by the Shepherd's Hut option. Close to river but good selection of shops nearby and local pub serves good food at reasonable prices.

The area is really peaceful and although we had facilities in the cabin we paid for breakfast which was really good. We were well looked after by the hosts and will definitely be staying again.

- Lindsey (10/5): Friendly, quiet and a delicious breakfast - I received a warm welcome from the owners on arrival and they provided me with all the information I needed for my stay. My room was quiet, clean and very large with a beautiful private bathroom. There was fresh milk and water in the small fridge in the room and some delicious homemade biscuits. There was a good selection of books and DVD's to borrow. Breakfast was in my top 10 breakfasts of all times - absolutely delicious. Made to order with beautiful fresh eggs and beans served in a little cup, which I loved as I really dislike bean juice taking over my plate! The area is nice to explore, probably by car as there doesn't seem to be too much to do within walking distance. However, there were a couple of options for a morning jog, which I enjoyed very much. I would definitely recommend Fourwinds leisure and wouldn't hesitate to return should I be in the area again in the future.
- Erika (8/5): Quaint but cold - Beth was super friendly.the hideaway cabin was perfect except that we were a little cold. (April) Our fault/ we couldn’t get the coal stove to actually catch so we braved the night under the super warm and cozy blankets she made available(even a bear skin plush)... in the morning I was looking forward to warming myself with a hot shower but was disappointed to find there was no hot water in the cabin... oh well, I had some dry shampoo and we shoved on! There was a lot of early morning “farm noise” including a grounds keeper? Who was starting a riding mower at 8am (yikes) we had dinner at the nearby cobblestone and it was super cheap (buy one get one entre) and for the most part we’re happy with our stay:)

- Terry (10/5): Shepherds Hut Heaven - Me and my partner had an absolutely wonderful, relaxing break at fourwinds shepherds hut, so much so that we extended our stay by an extra night. Although the accommodation is on a popular campsite you still have a feeling of seclusion and have your own space. Enjoyable walks including a footpath along the river leading to the town of March. More facilities are available on site than shown in the description. Be back soon !!!

My 8 yr old loved the sheepskin rug and the sheepskin cover. He immediately said we should buy one and put it in our garden. Lovely, eccentric, and heartwarming experience.

- sandra (10/5): Delightful bed and breakfast. - Only stayed 1 night. So didn't really get to check out the area. But four winds was a delightful place to stay, bev was really great, breakfast was lovely and plentiful, the rooms were lovely only thing was that our room didn't have an ensuite we had to go across the hall. But as we only stayed one night it wasn't to bad.Would highly recommend.
- Jane (8/5): Very quite and a lovely outlook - Lovely size room, spacious hanging room for clothes. Bed linen was of a high quality One downside the bathroom you had to cross the hall to get to, which meant passing the dining area in the morning. The bathroom though was lovely and for our use only. Other rooms did have en-suites. But this is a B & B and not a hotel as advertised. So would not have booked if I had known but so glad I did. Great place, will definitely return.
