Guest Reviews
- Beth (10/5): - Breakfast was great. Angie was pleasant professional...... parking readily available. Convenient to car show. Recommend!!
- Fallon (10/5): - They upgraded us to a larger room and bigger bed due to a cancellation which was great! Great comfy bed. Very hospitable. Breakfast was good, would have liked fresher more local foods.
- RabePaul (8/5): Nice if you're looking for a romantic get-away - Hershey PA has successfully evolved from a factory town to a tourist town, and thus there are several lodging choices available. There are several chain motels close to attractions, that won’t break the bank to stay at – but sometimes you’d like a romantic getaway for a weekend. If the latter is what you’re looking for, this place might well meet your needs.
Palmyra is just a few miles down the road from the major attractions of Hershey, so you’re close enough to enjoy those, but still far enough distant to not feel like you’re in a tourist spot. However, you’re still in an urban area, with plenty of restaurants & chain stores nearby. Also, it’s located on Main Street (also US Highway 422), so don’t expect isolation.
The house was built in 1915, and converted to a B&B in 2012. The owners have taken care to keep as much of the original floor plan & wood structure as possible. The decor is a mix of both antique & modern, with a few tropical party floats outside. If moving up stairs is problematic for you, this place may not be to your liking. In addition, “Children must be at least 10 yrs of age.”
Our room featured AC (somewhat noisy), fridge, shower, hair dryer, iron & board, and TV with 92 channels. It was clean & well-maintained. Free amenities include parking, wifi, living room, coffee maker available in the breakfast area, and a hot breakfast served at 9am, 9:30am, or 10am (your choice). Our hostess Angie Walton was professional, efficient, and very friendly.
- Dalene (10/5): WaltonMaonorInn - The Inn was very cute and very clean. Had a wonderful day very close to the venue of Hershey stadium. Which is what we were going for. The owner recommended a wonderful restaurant across the street and it was everything she said it was. I would stay there again.
- Susan (8/5): - Noisy AC in the bedroom
- Steven (10/5): - Nice room and pleasant hostess
- Michelle (10/5): - Very clean and tastefully decorated B&B. Soft, comfortable sheets and excellent temp/water pressure in the shower. Yummy hot breakfast with coffee and juices available. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Quick drive to Hershey Park! Lovely spot!
- Denise A (8/5): - Our host was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious!
Highly recommend, just don’t have a room facing the street unless car traffic doesn’t bother you. Beautiful place and well maintained. Otherwise, well worth a stay.
- Katie (10/5): - We had such a great stay! We checked in late so there was a code to get in, everything went smoothly. We communicated through text directly to the owner operator Angie who gave us options for breakfast times and an amazing meal all 3 mornings. Angie was a great hostess and the house was so cool. Parking was easy. The town was very easy to navigate. It was a bang for our buck! Highly recommend best deal in town!
- Jamie (10/5): - The property was clean and beautiful. Jack and Ann were wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We had everything we needed. Felt like a Hallmark movie scene. Loved it!! Next time to Hershey we will definitely book again!!
- generoso (10/5): - Nice place highly recommen staying here
- Brad (10/5): - When we checked in we were surprised to learn that we were upgraded from the king room to the king suite since we were staying several nights and no one else had reserved it. Angie is a wonderful host. She made sure everything was well and wasn’t intrusive. Her breakfasts were very good. She was also helpful with places to eat and things to do around Hershey. We will likely stay again during future visits to Hershey.
- Richard (10/5): - Great breakfast and stay.
- Marybridget (10/5): - I loved the historic elements of the home & the fabulous home cooked breakfasts! Private parking & modern a/c and so conveniently located to Hershey.
- Pamela (10/5): Charming and Comfortable - Walton Manor Inn is a lovely, fully restored mansion in “downtown” Palmyra PA. It is easy to access after hours thanks to the very informative communication you receive from the owner before you arrive. The rooms are very clean, well-decorated with antiques, and have modern bathrooms. The freshly cooked breakfast made the Inn an even better value than I expected. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!
- lizgilk (10/5): Will be back! - This as such an upgrade from a normal chain hotel! Angie reached out to us to confirm our arrival she greeted us and showed us to our rooms and talked about breakfast. I cannot stress this enough, the breakfast was excellent. You got an array of food, (fruit, toast, eggs, bacon, sausage). The host, Angie, was super accommodating and helpful! Our room was big with a king sized bed and a private bathroom. We loved our time at the Walton Manor Inn and will definitely be back if we are in the area!!
- James (2/5): Total disappointment! - This hotel was terrible. I was given a code for the front door to use for a late check-in that did not work. My wife and I were left out in the cold, literally, at 11 pm unable to reach anyone from the hotel for help. After waiting over an hour with no return call or text, we decided to leave and drove 4 hours through the night to return home. I expect a full refund, though I'm not hopeful about that. Total disappointment.
- Deborah (10/5): - The B&B was quiet and charming with comfortable areas to relax, coffee and tea available on the enclosed porch, and a hearty breakfast each morning. Angie was very friendly and took good care of everyone’s needs during their stay.
- Michael (10/5): - We loved the atmosphere, the large bedroom and bath, and chatting with the Innkeeper. The breakfast was delicious. We appreciated that it was only 10 minutes from Hershey activities. And compared to the outrageous prices of the hotels on a holiday weekend, the price of the Walton Manor Inn Bed & Breakfast was very reasonable.
- Walt (10/5): - We loved our stay at Walton Manor. Everything was perfect. So clean!
- James R (10/5): Beautiful old charming house - Short stay near Hershey. Beautiful old but well maintained house. Nice and quiet. Angie was quite nice snd helpful. Would definitely stay again
- Carey (8/5): - Will stay there again if ever in Hershey. Quaint and quiet bed and breakfast. The breakfast was excellent
- Neal (10/5): - Very friendly proprietor who did all that she could to accommodate our special needs. The house and room amenities made our stay a comfortable one.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Breakfast was good and owner was very pleasant and helpful with the area.
- 116margaretn (4/5): Avoid this bed and breakfast - Staying at this place is very disappointing. The building is old and has need of many physical updates inside and outside. We expected a positive experience based on past bed and breakfast experiences. This was not. The host was civil but that was it. We did not sample the breakfast because the " set " times did not match with our schedule.Despite the fact that we were ostensibly the only guests there that night, the host offered no alternate accommodations for breakfast when we notified same that we had an early appointment. Considering that we were so close to Hershey, PA I truly expected that we might get a couple of Hershey kisses in our room. NOT
- Douglas (10/5): - Loved that the owner contacted us for our ETA and had everything ready for us. Also allowed us to choose our time to eat breakfast within a given time window. Would return if in the area.
- Louie (10/5): - Great place!
- Karen (10/5): Fantastic - Room was spacious and so clean. Had everything you would ever need. Absolutely loved it
- SETH (10/5): - Very Nice
- Naomi (10/5): - Clean and convenient
- Patricia (10/5): - Beautiful restored older home. Lots of public sitting areas to use. Small complaint-the air conditioner was loud. Breakfast is served from 9-10; my reason for being in the area necessitated me being out earlier, so I had to forego breakfast.
- Shawn (10/5): - Angie and Jack were great hosts! The property is well kept and quiet! Loved the patio area used it two nights for sitting and relaxing with a glass of wine. Very conveniently located!
- Melissa (10/5): Calming Comfort in a Hyperactive Hershey - What a lovely piece of quiet comfort in a bustling area! Hershey is known for its high energy, fueled by chocolate and adrenaline rush roller coasters. A quick drive from the park was this lovely property in quiet Palmyra. It was the perfect antidote. Angie was the perfect host. Quick and easy check-in, great communication, easy parking, and a wonderful breakfast in the stunning sunroom. But the bed part of the bed and breakfast - sheer luxury! Especially after a day in the next town over.
- Deborah (10/5): - The hostess was a delight! The breakfast was excellent! The bed was the comfiest!
- Jamie (10/5): - I was very pleased with our stay here. Ang was super nice and very generous to all her accommodations, she was curtious and kind and all around welcoming. The Breakfast was home made and delish and very elegant. I would recommend coming again in the future. Was a pleasant trip . Thank you Ang for having us at your delighted place for the weekend.
- dkM6560IV (2/5): Not a friendly place, money hungry! - Not a friendly place, more worried about money than health. I cancelled for Covid. She said too bad no refund! Not even a partial or a credit ! I called them, emailed, and texted. Hotels.com called. They didn’t care and don’t care about people.
- Nicole (10/5): - We had a great stay!
- carole (10/5): - Beautiful bed and breakfast. Wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay again on our next trip to Hershey, PA.
- Sixto (2/5): - Racist lady
- Jason (10/5): - Went to a concert at hershey park and found this little charm reasonably priced not to far from stadium. Comfy beds and charming house for night or even week
- Jill (10/5): - Beautiful Inn and service was great
- P6740ODrogerg (2/5): BEWARE OF MAKING A RESERVATION ! PLEASE READ THIS - We made our booking through Priceline, arrived at this B&B a little after 4pm only to find the doors locked front and back. I called the contact number for the property only to be told they were fully booked and that our pre-paid reservation was null and void.
We'd been scammed by the property owners, No other way to put it. They had double booked us (sold the room twice) and feebly attempted to blame it on Priceline.
You'll read more of the same in other reviews of this property, so evidently the owners have an emerging pattern of deceptive business practice or at the least gross incompetence.
We sat on their filthy porch (hope you like cigarette ends and dirt) in 95 degrees heat as the owners wouldn't even let us into the hallway to call Priceline who confirmed and validated our reservation.
If you're considering staying here, PLEASE LEARN FROM OUR AND OTHERS MISFORTUNE WITH THIS BOARDING HOUSE. Fundamental standards of expected service do not apply here in my experience.
- Kenneth (10/5): - The room.was extremely comfortable and clean. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.
- clI8668NC (2/5): No guaranteed booking here - We booked here over a month in advance and when we arrived the door was locked so we called and we're greeted 10 minutes later and we're told they gave our room away by mistake and they are overbooked. They assured me they would call and refund my money with Hotels.com so we left and booked another hotel. After our weekend was over I was awaiting a call or email that said my refund was being processed but nothing. I called the B & B but of course they didn't answer because refunding your money is not as important as taking it. I called Hotels.com and they couldn't get a hold of Walton manor either so now I have to wait to get my money back even though it was their fault with the booking. Beware you might not have a room if you book here and have to wait to get your money back when they do overbooked you. Book cautiously
- Terry (10/5): - Perfect location for a trip to Hersey and surrounding areas. Wonderful staff and beautiful inn.
- 998michaelp998 (10/5): Short drive to Hershey - Walton Manor Inn certainly came as advertised. My wife and I were in town to see a concert at Hershey and were looking for a quiet comfortable place conveniently located to the stadium. Thanks to Angie, we found it. She greeted us upon our arrival with a friendly smile and shared the fascinating history about her Inn. It is a short drive from the stadium and back. With just four rooms at the Inn, the surroundings were quiet and very comfortable. Angie’s homemade breakfast topped off our overnight stay. Walton Manor Inn has everything a traveler to Hershey or the surrounding area needs to make a trip less stressful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average Experience - Noise and cooking smells from persons apparently residing full time on third floor of building impacted our sleep. Otherwise, the room was acceptable and the breakfast was good (except it was not served until 9am).
- Joshua (10/5): - Wonderful property and even better management. Communication was remarkable, room was comfy and cool, while the private bath was clean. I would recommend this convenient property to anyone!
- Marybridget (10/5): - Quiet, clean, comfortable & convenient historic home with a fabulous breakfast! Beautiful hardwood floors & stained glass window feature were my favorite. Library & outside patio sitting areas are lovely - as is host!
- Samantha (10/5): - Wonderful experience!
- Michael (10/5): - Very nice room. TV worked fine as well as air conditioning. Back yard very nice area for relaxing.
- WilliamF928 (10/5): Beautiful Home, Convenient Location, Excellent Accommodations - Had a weekday evening meeting which made driving home unwise after an already long day. Fortunately, Walton Manor Inn was only a few miles distant from the meeting location, so I made a room reservation several weeks in advance. Plentiful public space on the main level and our large bedroom allowed my wife to relax in comfort while I attended the meeting. Even though the Inn is on busy Main Street, our street-facing room was pleasantly quiet for a good night's sleep. There is an occasional train horn that sounds several blocks away; it's noticeable but not distracting. Topping off a restful night was a delicious breakfast in the large enclosed porch. The Innkeeper is accommodating and the off-street parking is a bonus. We didn't have a chance to spend time in the backyard garden; guess we'll have to plan another visit!
- Stephen (6/5): A little sad-funny... - The host, Angi, was friendly and eagerly served to accommodate us. She noted that the B&B was her "heart and soul." It lacked sufficient maintainance in many respects. Following our one-night stay, we offered feedback directly to Angie on a few items that we thought were significant. She thanked us.
A normal hotel would not (could not) remain in business for a few things noted. We felt reluctant but compelled to let Angie know. A helper with a small budget could do a lot..
- weezie62 (10/5): Warm and inviting Bed and Breakfast - My husband and I chose the Walton Manor Inn for a single night stay last Friday. We were en route to a meeting that was to be held early the next day in nearby Annville. Our charming hostess, Angie, was so welcoming! We were pleased that she was willing to accommodate a special request for an early breakfast to assure we would get to the meeting on time. We enjoyed dining across the street at Babe's Grill, both on Angie's recommendation and our own prior research. The actual accomodations, our room and the common areas and dining space, were very inviting. Her tasteful decoration showcases the fine traditional structure of the Inn; cozy fireplaces (even in our room!) add to the ambience. Our breakfast was delicious. The entire establishment is impeccably clean. We would certainly stay there again, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a short stay like ours or as a home base to explore the Hershey area.
- Ericas123 (10/5): A hidden GEM -Must stay!! - We traveled to Hershey for a wrestling tournament at the giant center; I was initially looking to stay at a hotel when I saw this cute little bed and breakfast pop up for the same price as a mediocre hotel. I didn't know what to expect since I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast. Well, let me tell you, it was wonderful! Angie, the owner, was so accommodating and friendly- not to mention an excellent breakfast maker. We stayed two nights. Each morning, she asked us when we would like to have breakfast and made a home-cooked hot meal, which was great! She provided water bottles in our room and unlimited tea and coffee at the hot drink bar. The entire building was absolutely charming, well-decorated, and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the room and bathrooms were spacious. There is secured parking out back, and this site is literally 10 minutes from the park. I can't speak highly enough about Angie- she was very flexible in working with our schedule. I will absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it. I stayed in room 1, and I have no complaints at all!!
- Richard (10/5): - The property is a historic home over a hundred years old, the room was pleasant, very clean, with a comfortable bed and linens. Breakfast was good, but only creamer, no milk for coffee. If you are in the area you will not be disappointed at this charming B&B, but book early only four rooms are available.
- Thomas (10/5): - 👍
- Anthony (6/5): Very nice - Very nice
- F1912CMlarrym (10/5): Super experience from start to finish. - The best B&B we have stayed at in Hershey.
Can't speak more highly of our stay. Beautiful facilities, rooms, breakfast and hospitality.
First of our many stays there .
Best businesses excel with the owners interaction, Walton Inn is one of those !
- Cherchez-15 (10/5): Wonderful stay! - Wonderful historic and comfortable house the owner has lovingly restored. Large room with a very comfortable king bed. The breakfast was excellent, a large serving of yogurt and fruit followed by scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage, and toast. We will return!
- katarinakate2022 (4/5): Dissatisfied - We stayed 1 night and if we had stayed there on our first night of the trip, we would never stay at a B&B again. Jack and Angie were nice people and the breakfast was ok. The room #1 did not have a closet to hang clothes and it was very hard to adjust thermostat for heat. The room we had was in great need of updating. I personally would not recommend. Ralph
- Lr (10/5): - Stayed for Hershey Car Show, room was great and owner was very helpful.
- 8BellaS (10/5): Beautiful Antique House - This was our first time staying on a B&B, I didn't really know what to expect, but let me tell you that I was very surprised by this place. The house is dated, yes, but that's what it makes it charming. Angie and her husband are fabulous hosts. The house is in the heart of the town on a busy road but the room was very quiet. The breakfast was really good, Angie takes care of all the details to make you feel like royalty. I will definitely stay there again.
- Roberta (10/5): - Angie was very welcoming and made us feel like we were at home. Breakfast was very good and the house was so beautiful. We will stay there again
- DAWN (10/5): Like visiting a family member, homey - Adorable historic B&B! The owner greeted us, gave us a tour, and got us settled immediately with key codes to our door and back door of the house. It felt like settling in at a family members.
- Matthew (10/5): - We were in town for a concert and could not have been happier with the bed and breakfast. The owner was very nice and helpful. Our room was clean, breakfast was delicious, and the property was beautiful
- Thomas (10/5): - Classic home
Very tidy!!!
- Sara (10/5): Perfect couple’s night away - Beautiful place, friendly host, nice clean room and bathroom, great location, good price - this place has it all!
- Gary (10/5): - Beautiful old mansion fully restored to it's original glory, conveniently located for visiting Hershey PA
- Robin (10/5): - Close to good dining. The property is well maintained, pleasant surroundings. A very pleasant stay, we will likely return.
- Carly (6/5): - very dusty you could smell it immediately upon entering
- free (6/5): - The house was beautiful and what you typically think of for a bed and breakfast. The room was large and included a small refrigerator with bottles of water in it. The furniture and decorating looked out of date, not antique. That would be an easy to fix. With such a beautiful home, the interior decorations (especially in the bedrooms where guests are most of the time) should match.
Angie was a great host and communicated with us before we got there. She showed us around the house and was friendly. Breakfast did not start until 9:00 a.m., which was later than we would have liked. We had the option of getting a to-go type breakfast, but we wanted the B&B experience.
The location is close to Hershey, so we liked that.
- Gary (10/5): - Owners were very personable. Beautiful house and sheets smelled so clean and fresh!!!
- Patti (10/5): - This place is amazing! I felt very welcomed and special. Our room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable that I didn’t want to get up. I highly recommend this place. Hershey park is not far at all. Absolutely love it and will be back.
- Salvatore (10/5): - Angie was a super host. Great communication, made sure we had access and was there to welcome us. She made an awesome breakfast in the morning, and we would love to go back when we will travel in the area again.
- Richard (10/5): - This was our second stay at Walton Manor. Palmyra is literally 10 minutes from Hershey, which makes it a convenient base for visiting Hershey attractions. Rooms are large and comfortable — and quite reasonably priced. By contrast, Hershey chain hotels tend to be cramped, and overpriced for what they offer. Also, full gourmet breakfasts are included at Walton Manor, instead of the soggy bagels that chain hotels tend to offer as their free breakfasts.
- Marybridget (10/5): - Such a beautiful & unique place!
- Mary Lou (10/5): - THe property was very easy to find and the it was beautiful..Quiet- never heard any other guest until breakfast- Owners were very pleasant. Went to area for granddaughter Lacrosse tournament - 5 minutes from the field..
I was surprised there wasn't a sm refrigerator in room- Would recommend it to anyone
- Karol (10/5): - A very nice place to stay with a personal touch.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Happy Travelers! - We had a lovely stay and felt entirely welcome. Our room was spacious and homey, and Angie and Jack were great hosts. We'd happily stay there again.
- Richard (10/5): - Nicely restored 1910 grand home with period furniture.
Large room, comfortable bed but you may need a step stool to get into it, and Wi-Fi availability.
Breakfast in sunroom was great with coffee available all the time.
Hosts, Angie and Jack are charming, friendly and gracious hosts.
Great location to Amish country, Hershey Park and local walk around town shops.
Looking forward to staying there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful room. Enjoyed our stay. Would like to stay here again some time. Great hostess.
- JAMES (10/5): - Everything was neat and clean. Jack and Angie were very hospitable.
- William (10/5): - Great place with very nice owners
- Lenora (10/5): - The property is a private bed and breakfast with only 4 rooms. Yet if you are lucky enough to stay there you will be extremely comfortable and enjoy your stay. We will definitely stay there again when in the area.
- Kevin (10/5): - The host was kind and welcoming. Perfect for a weekend stay. Wish we spent 2 nights.
- Maria (10/5): Great B&B - Angie was an excellent host at the B&B. She was very attentive and the breakfast was so good! We will be staying there again in the future!!
- Natalie (10/5): - Warm & inviting atmosphere with delightful hosts.
- Michelle (10/5): - The owners of the Walton Manor Inn were very attentive to anything we needed. They suggested a great restaurant across the street for dinner and it was terrific! Breakfast was excellent every morning. This wonderful couple is so friendly. We loved the space of the home. We played cards every night downstairs with our friends who were there too. We look forward to going back again one day.
- Brian (10/5): - Excellent host
- Kenneth (10/5): - Beautifully restored 1915 house. Room heating was a little noisy but otherwise very comfortable and quiet.
- Lorraine (8/5): - Charming atmosphere
Turn of the century design.
Not handicap accessible.
- ken (10/5): - Beautiful property, Owner very nice.
- RaceTrackHunter (10/5): Pleasant Stay - My wife & I stayed here over Valentines Weekend (yes, I'm very late posting my review). We absolutely loved the place. Our room (with a king size bed) was the perfect size and was very quiet aside from the road traffic, but we have that at home too, so no big deal. Breakfast was very good both days, Parking was off street and seemed safe. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, and the casino all within a short drive. I don't give 5 star reviews very often, but we enjoyed the quaintness of this place, and the smaller size kept it from getting too "busy" with guests. Already looking forward to staying here again in the future. Highly recommend,
- Rhea (8/5): - Beautifully restored home, delicious breakfast, helpful and gracious host. It's on Main Street, very convenient, but a bit noisy with traffic if you have a front facing room.
- Mark (10/5): - We loved the B&B. The hosts were very helpful and so friendly. We checked in late but they made it easy.
Would come back in a heartbeat!
Breakfast was delicious!
- JoBeth (10/5): - The home is lovely, clean, well maintained,
easy access for parking. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. It was nice that there was a mini fridge in the room and access to a microwave in the breakfast area. Two large rooms on main level to relax in on sofas or recliners, read or play games. The hosts were very kind and personable. Great breakfast!
- amandaa575 (6/5): We didn’t stay - This place was just, ok. Upon arrival it seemed fine. Nothing special. The woman who welcomed us was not the friendliest. We stayed in room 3. The bathroom door in our room didn’t latch or shut, when I asked her about it she its because it’s an old house. A few other things like broken curtains rods weren’t a problem but is a simple fix….
We ended up not spending the night and wouldn’t return!
- Eleanor (10/5): - Walton Manor Inn B&B was well maintained and clean. It was a step above area hotels. We were looking for a place that we could get a good night sleep without children running up and down the corridors.
- Maico (10/5): Amazing place! - We had an amazing time at Walton Manor. The owners are polite, professional and accommodating. The property is beautiful and comfortable. The location is great for getting to attractions. This is a must stay!
