- Naoto (8/5): - The room was cozy and worth for the price. Surrounding area is very noisy at night due to the character of Bui Vien St. It should taken into account.
- atancj (2/5): Worst breakfast option... - It only 8am (Vietnam time). The breakfast option is the worst i ever seen. Only noddles and fry egg. Those buffet setup was just for showcase. Coffee and tea are cold. There are guests from other country, have a thought for these guests. How much does it cost to have a decent option of bake beans, sausage, porridge, stew beef etc. Not everyone truely enjoy vietnam noddles. Most of the guest have no option but to accept. Slient does not mean we happy. Either you mention breakfast or no breakfast. Of course we can choose to stay in a better hotel, but please be reminded you are running a hospitality business.

- erinmm1991 (8/5): Loud but friendly - Being on the walking street every motel will be loud of a night time however it is perfect if you are looking for a taste of the night life. My room was clean and beds were very comfortable so even on the night I chose not to go out, the comfy bed made it easy to sleep even with the bass of the music thumping. The staff are helpful. I would definitely come back and stay again.
- Krisma (6/5): Would have received better service with the price. - When I arrived the hotel name is amazingly turned to "Valentine Hotel". The room is tidy and clean. But you can't escape the noise from neighbouring bars which keeps beating until 5 in the morning I believe. Location is good. Near bus station and in the popular District 1.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Exremely convenient for younger travelers - I have stayed here many times and enjoyed the hotel. It is located right on Bui Vien street in the heart of backpacker area. Restaurants, clubs, bars, shops, Circle K are just outside the hotel, so it is extremely convenient. The beds are comfortable and that is important to me as cleanliness and modern styling, and most importantly not very expensive. Because it is surrounded by clubs, it is rather noisy at night with music blasting from the club across the street and the club next door. If you are a light sleeper, then this hotel is not for you. For me it is the same as having the radio on while I sleep so it did not bother me. The breakfast was ok, only few selections, and not a buffet. The only downside is that there is currently construction going on to renovate the hotel and they start work at 8:00am. Hopefully they will finish soon.

The lobby was torn out with full renovation and materials were everywhere. Should not have accepted guests as I feel it was dangerous for them to move in and out of the hotel.
- 629dams (2/5): Last night of a tour - Stayed on the second floor on a saturday night. Hotel staff were friendly. Could hear music from the club beneath hotel until 4am. Woken up in the morning by hammering in the hotel foyer which is currently being renovated. Large mould (black in colour) above shower head. Large mould spots on bedroom wall and ceiling. Glad only stayed one night.

Once the music stops you have about an hour of silence before the workers start hammering and drilling- the aston is under construction at the moment. Rooms are clean and tidy

- Springster19 (2/5): The worst hotel I have ever stayed in - I have never left a review that I believe is as scathing as this. Without doubt, this hotel is the worst I have ever encountered. There are dirty sheets, cold showers, untidy rooms (complete with used condoms and packets) to greet you along with unhelpful staff and broken air conditioning. But despite all of the above, the worst part of all of it is that the windows are held together by sellotape and do not close properly so you essentially feel as though you were in a nightclub until about 5 am the next morning. It is horrendous and I would actively and avidly encourage you to book another hotel in Ho Chi Minh. Do not stay here ever! Donna

- foodyjennyxx (4/5): Very noisy until 4am - Stayed here during a group tour. Beds were comfy and bigger than a normal single size, WiFi worked well, and good AC. Staff very nice. Big downside is the bar next door blasts club music until about 4:30am which makes sleep very hard, even with earplugs, unless you are completely exhausted. Also pretty sure there are rats in the walls/ceiling as we could hear scurrying throughout the night. Only recommend if you are a partygoer and looking for somewhere to crash close to the clubs.
- 427emmaf (2/5): Extremely noisey location. - This hotel is situated between 4 night clubs that pump music till 4:30am ALL days of the week. So if your wanting any sleep at all while staying here then your out of luck. I phoned reception to ask what time the music stopped and they said 4am, then 2am, the midnight. So 4:30am it stopped. If u like relaxing. This is not the place to stay.
- tanyar202015 (2/5): Horrible place, stay away! - The hotel is located on the noisiest street in Ho Chi Min, above a night club and around many different pubs and bars. We got the "quite" back room ob the last floor. The noise was so loud that we couldn't sleep almost through the entire night. The room was ok. All the drawers and the closet in the room were squeaky. There was no curtain in the bathroom which made it difficult to shower and not fluid the entire room. There were lack of options in breakfast, so we found ourselves eating outside the hotel.

I asked the noodle should be dipped in hot water for a while and fried it but the girl bring like this picture, it seemed they even not put in hot water and the noodle is not solf. I asked and she said this can did like this only. This hotel might suitable for customers not caring their breakfast.

Good, clean & spacious rooms. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Good choice if you go solo or with friends. I will book again when go back to HCM.

- 230rakeshs (10/5): ASTON is best and easily affordable - i visited first time in vietnam i just booked it by looking property on net. but by my good luck or GOD'S mercy i found the best hotel in the heart of city. inever haveto walk anywhere in the night . i just sit in my hotel lobby and all the tourist they come over from all saigon to in front of my hotel. its in center of heart of city. next rooms are also clean not smelly at all. breakfast is also good because they make it fresh for everybody after taking order from menu staff is very cooperative and always avilable specialaly a person on reception Mr. TOM

We stayed here during the week and it was still very noisy with loud music until 3am. If you are looking at staying out all night then this hotel might be suitable. Otherwise don't bother if you want to get any sleep. Even the heavy sleepers in our travel group barely got any shut eye. Pros- good location for partying, cheap price, reasonably clean, aircon Cons- loud music, no windows in most rooms, not the greatest hotel security, no safe in room Recommend for party goers only

- glen077 (6/5): Better than expected - I was dreading staying here at the start of an organised group tour having read some of the other reviews on here. The hotel is in a part of the city I had no desire to venture into and I came armed with very good earplugs. To be absolutely fair we were given a room in the middle of a floor (5 I think) - so no windows. This is a real bonus as it minimises the noise from the outside. With earplugs it reduced the noise to a faint bass beat and did not impact on sleep. According to others in the group the music stops at about 5.00 a.m. so this place is probably best suited to you if you want to party all night and sleep all day. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. All in all we were happy that we got a reasonable nights sleep.

Have slept through many things in hostel rooms, etc, but could absolutely not get any sleep in this place. We were on a tour and got put in the 2nd floor with a window overlooking the street below, which contains multiple 24/7 bars/clubs. The noise was insane. I had earplugs and Bose noise-cancelling headphones and could still hear the music. It’s a shame because the other stuff about the hotel was fine. Receptionist was helpful, breakfast was fine for 50k VND (2 eggs, baguette, and coffee/tea/juice) and the room was adequate. But as it seems like a crap shoot at best how loud your room will be, I definitely recommend avoiding this place.
- Discover79852 (2/5): Noisy hotel - This hotel is very well located in the main bar/party street so it is perfect to go parting all night but if your plan is sleeping, my recommendation is that you find another area. My room was windowless in a 4th floor and the noisy was awful as the disco under the hotel has very loud music all night long.

We asked for a room at the back after reading some reviews. The rooms at the back don't have windows but at least we could sleep. Friends at the front could not sleep at all. We were there as part of a group tour but wouldn't choose it.

We walked in and the room stunk of cigarette smoke... there was 2 ash trays in the rooms as they allow smoking in rooms. It was tiny and squishy and very loud! We could here jack hammers and music from our room and it was at the back of the building. Would not recommend. I don’t even know how they received those ratings. Yuk. We stayed a hotel very similarly priced to this one previously, and it was clean and professional. I don’t mind a basic hotel but this one was just yuk. Stay somewhere else !

- Lyle (4/5): Disappointed - Initially we were incorrectly put into a smoking room which smelt very strong and no windows.. Felt like shoe box, we requested to change, they come and inspected first and agreed that the room smelt. after changing the room we were put in the front where the night clubs are and the windows were ajar not sound proof so it was like being in the nightclub.. Couldn't change rooms again, lucky we had earplugs.. Too expensive for what it was, stuff not friendly.. Wouldn't go back.
- Matt (4/5): Ant gonna stay here again . - Ants in my pants, ants in my coffee, ants in the bed. Literally everywhere there were ants. When I asked about switching they had nothing available. The hotel is in the middle of everything which is great unless you want to sleep. You can feel and hear the clubs and bars next door. We lost power twice in one night. Wifi was spotty at best.
- Huy (8/5): Lively area, great shower, okay room, breakfast ?? - One of the busiest street for tourist, night life here is really live. About the hotel, great shower stand, love it! AC in our room is in question, when you leave it turn off, then you come back to a HOT room, no way to leave it on. The AC took almost all night to cool the room down. Here is the trick, we left the key in the room to have AC on, then tell the front desk to open the door when we come back. Room is bit small compare to other hotels in the neighbor area, but not to cramp. Breakfast need to upgrade something more than 4 items on menu. Might stay again, probably my 3rd option if the other 2 are out.

- Ruth (2/5): Hotel by Nightclub, Staff not interested but clean - The hotel itself is in good condition, clean and tidy. The service at the hotel was very poor and the staff not interested in engaging with you, it appears either their English is poor they cant be bothered to listen to you. The hotel is located literally over a loud nightclub/bar, which is pretty noisy if you are on of the front bedrooms. Unless you are looking to go out partying every night I would not recommend this hotel.
- Laura (8/5): Ho Chi Minh City - Good location but very noisy at night from many local restaurants and bars even though our room had no window. Room itself was quite good. Bed was a bit hard for me. Breakfast on the rooftop was good, coffee was amazing. Some of the desk staff did not speak much English but they tried to help. Be aware that minibar charges have to be paid in cash.

- Verified traveler (8/5): clean new hotel in the middle of Bui Vien st actio - Good hotel smack bang in the middle of Bui Vien which seems to be the major bar and restaurant street in saigon Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast ok. Good wifi throughout. Clean room. Nice bathroom. The hotel has obviously been renovated recently. Bui vien does have a lot of bars and restaurants but also a lot of working girls in this area. Aside from that it's a great location. Walking distance to Ben than market (or numerous taxis on bui vien st day and night), walking distance just to the independence palace and war museum also. Staff also helped me book my onward flight online through a Vietnamese website - the girl working during the daytime on reception is really very helpful and good English. Overall a very comfortable stay
- Dylan (8/5): Best hotel in this area - This is a small street , a party street very noisy and fun. Backpacker, nightlife area. This is the nicest hotel on Bui Vien street in the center of the action. The hotel is safe and clean.

- KEN (8/5): Handy location. - The hotel is in a handy location in district 1 , a minute away from the bus pick up points in De Than. We had to leave early and they attempted to accommodate us with an earlier breakfast .Nice tkdy hotel with helpful staff . The only negative being our non smoking room smelled of smoke .
- Verified traveler (6/5): Showers take a while to get hot - Takes 5 minutes for hot water to come out the shower. Staff very friendly. Good location but can sometimes here noise from GO2 nightclub nearby.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay - This is a very nice hotel, excellent location and very helpful staff. The only negative thing I can say is that the rooms do get the noise from nearby bars etc, it's not unpleasant but you can hear it. Everything else is very good.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location friendly and safe. - Fantastic location in Zone 1. Clean and tidy budget hotel. Staff very helpful and available at all times. Close to many good resteraunts and bars. Well in fact too close to some bars that are open till 4am. If you like to sleep in a nice quiet environment this is not the place to be. The noise traveled through the block from the bar next door but one. Pounding music till 4 - 5 am some mornings.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place. Very modern and friendly staff. - We had a very enjoyable stay at the Aston hotel. It is only a year old so everything is modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's in a great location. We walked to the palace and war museum. Loads of pubs and clubs near by which is the one negative. The club next door has music until 4am and we could hear it from our room. Other rooms may be different.. Didn't bother us to much.
- pen (4/5): dont be fooled be the pictures!!!! - Rooms were to small and they kept charging extra fees without telling you until check out. The pictures seem to be big and great but the rooms are so small.
- Jaime (8/5): Convenient location for backpackers - Hotel is located on Bui Vien St., which is in the central backpacker area in HCMC. Around the hotel, there are many travel agencies, and foreign exchange locations. We booked our tour and bus to Cambodia nearby, very convenient. The hotel staff is generally helpful, i.e. helped us book the water puppet show, lend us umbrella, etc. The only thing is there also a lot of pubs and bars, so it's a bit noisy at night. If you are light sleeper, might want to reconsider. But if you want the location, all the hotels in that area are effected by the noise, just deal with it.
