- Michael (1/5): Avoid this place - Not much Where to start....after confirming my booking days before, being told that its booked full and other rooms weren't available. I show up and theres maybe 3 guests in the whole place. Theres construction everywhere which was conveniently not mentioned prior when I confirmed on the phone. Told the power might go out in the morning, which it did for 3 hours and probably still out as im writing this. No mention of this as well before on the phone confirming. The room itself was okay, although very dirty and reminiscent of the 90s. A rusty 80s hair dryer was provided, but I dared not try and plug it in. Despite all doors and windows closed the entire time there were fruit flies buzzing around all night. Attempted to take a shower in the dark and found the shower had zero pressure and ice cold water, the shower head was also faded beige 90s plastic. After checking out and complaining asking for a refund (150 bucks is a scam for this place, I wouldn't even pay 50 bucks) the "gentleman" I can assume was the owner argued with me saying I was making excuses, telling me "I should've left when I saw how bad it was when I arrived" instead of staying (not much of a choice day of) and was incredibly rude and didnt apologize even for the state of the place. Should be condemned, not fit for being open.
- Michelle (7/5): -
- Roy and Sima (8/5): We liked our spacious room and the beds were comfortable. The whole room was very clean. - Our room #18 needed a mirror in the main room. There was only a small one above the bathroom sink.
- Michel (8/5): -
- Pauline (1/5): - Room was dirty. Beds not made properly. Mice dirt. Portable heater on desk. Would never recommend this hotel. So run down. You get what you pay for
- Violet (1/5): - The room was dirty. Both of them. Still had a food bag in the room from December 5
- Tarek (1/5): Trash. - Absolutely nothing. I get it. It’s a motel. But for $110 a night could you make sure there are no stains on the sheets and some clean towels would have been nice as well but ya, I get it, it’s a motel.
- Philip (10/5): More than expected! ☆★☆★☆ - Friendly staff, very welcoming, check in/out was a breeze..
NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL. 👌
St. Dave's restaurant has excellent breakfast just 1 km north of the Inn. Distance into town is a bit far if no vehicle..
- Anne (8/5): -
- Felicia (10/5): - Staff was very accommodating.
- Karen (4/5): - Property was undergoing renovations.
Front office very sketchy.
Room wasn't completed (no towel rack in bathroom, paint job wasnt finished)
Exterior grounds of property were rough (limited signage, drove past it on our first try, parking lot was dangerous)
We were en route to attending a wedding and didnt have time to find other accommodation.
Expedia needs to make sure these details are evident on their property descriptions.
- Sara (3/5): - Good location
Good hot water Room is in need of an upgrade- dirty shower curtain, clothing in closet, food in refrigerator.
- Omar (10/5): - Very quiet and calm area and rooms were spacious and accommodating especially since i brought my pet along
- Felecito (10/5): - Good
- L (6/5): Knights Inn Stay - Undergoing construction made it a little more challenging.
- jeff (7/5): -
- CANDY (10/5): - Room, towel, bed sheet, are very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. I will book again. Its very good for stay
- Claudia (10/5): -
- Cornelis (4/5): OMG sums it up perfectly - no breakfast and looked like location was just bought . A construction zone .Putting a new roof on in the summer took 80% of parking lot . Even the enter sign along road had rocks throw and was broken .Room was good and clean but out side was a dump. Wife and I thought same thing first time entering location ...If I had not already paid a night I would have cancelled and drove to next hotel. read above as I included all together
- Wensveen (3/5): -
- Shaky (8/5): - Rooms are clean.
- Irena (8/5): - The motel is very clean, bed is comfortable, staff is excellent
- Glenn (8/5): Nice renovations so far. Hopefully, finished soon - The room has been redone and quite comfortable. New bed and floors. Lots of ports to plug computers and things into for power. Lack of hooks to hang towels in the bathroom which had the only mirror in the room. Our big disappointment was the tv. I looks very new but you could not get any current programming. Was all set to watch Friday night football and couldn't get it. Settled on an old tv show and we kept having to wait for streaming which got tiresome. Hopefully, they get cable to go along with what is there,
- Jacqueline (5/5): -
- Karla (8/5): - Very nice people.
- Violet (7/5): Good -
- Holmes (10/5): Great for the last second. - Quiet, Quick and Comfy
- Bill (8/5): - Motel is older, but they are working on upgrading it.
|Room was decent, new furniture and floor. Bathroom, while "upgraded" had a few minor issues.. the fan did not seem to work, there were no towel racks to hang towels and the bathtub (while being a newer acrylic molded one with the walls etc.) had a lot of deep scratches in the tub itself making it look dirty. It was not actually dirty, just seemed that way.
Only other minor issue was the door was REALLY hard to open from inside the room. You had to put ALOT of effort to get it to pull open. But, that could also be partly due to how humid it was outside.
Most other guests were friendly. One a couple of doors down from us was a little too friendly, and was constantly drunk, but hey it's Lindsay lol
Over all though a decent motel for the price in peak "cottage" season. Staff were friendly room cleaning was good.
- Annakay (4/5): - It was just there. Had to be swatting flies couldn't sleep properly. Can see hairs on ground n so forth. Bed was ok no issues.
- Gregory (10/5): - A great night sleep in a clean motel.
- Vt (7/5): Good -
- Donald (6/5): - Ok
- Everard WADE (6/5): - Quiet easy to get too
- Brett (6/5): Pleasant -
- Paul (7/5): Good - Updated room
Quite clean
Convenient location If you are on the ground floor you will clearly hear anyone above you.
The air conditioner was loud and "clunky" all night.
- Garth (7/5): Good -
- Lauren (10/5): - Quick and efficient for check in and everyone there is so nice! It’s nice and quiet at night and leaving is a piece of cake if you’re up before the sun! Just left my keys in the room and was off! Would stay again!
- Macintyre (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was not available as per email. OK.
- Kim (8/5): - Was pleased over all. But wish the t. Had regular programming channels
- Sue (2/5): - Dirty rooms, renovations incomplete, maid service non existent, room need more lighting and heat and more outlets. The owners Bhavesh and Dharti Patel were polite and met requests we had for a room change, more supplies, and electricity restoration. Unpleasantly decorated rooms --- and the lack of cleanliness makes guests feel uncomfortable.
- Marie (10/5): Great and comfortable - Friendly and great update Climbing steps to 2nd floor
- Brian (8/5): - It was not bad
- Elizabeth (6/5): - Dated facility needs a proper front desk and better lighting. Pet friendly is great.
- Nivia (9/5): This is my second time there and would stay there again. - The staff was kind and friendly. Recently updated and reasonable. Smart TV, big room and no carpet. I appreciate the new fridge that works well and coffee machine maybe paint the room in white
- Deborah (8/5): Very good -
- Amleto (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kaily (7/5): Good -
- Warren (8/5): - Was quiet and clean
- kim (8/5): - There was a problem with the door. When we first arrived the door was not locked and we could not close the door or lock it. The owner fixed the door right away but, the first night it still didn't close properly. After 2:00 a.m. someone walked by and pulled the door closed and hollered that our door was open. Even after that the door still popped open throughout the night. We figured out we had to push the door hard to get it to close. There was a deadbolt but it didn't work
- Travis (10/5): - Place was nice. Owner is very, very helpful.
- Boby (8/5): - Really nice place and ambience
- Dawn (9/5): Room was clean and heated very nicely. -
- Nancy (8/5): good price - there was no breakfast just in your room coffee nothing it was all fine
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- John (4/5): - Typical motel, outside Lindsay as expected. Check in is a pain. If you didn't bring your cellphone, you'd be sleeping outside. Our room was pleasant and this is our third stay so it's good value.
- Tanja (8/5): It was positive, thank you - I did not have a breakfast. Just used a hot water for my tee. I like that it was a nice temperature, no odour, a lot of lights, it was clean. Good price. Some things might be renewed, people talking loudly on the balcony. That it.
- Anne (8/5): - Clean rooms
- Teresa (6/5): - We had a great overnight stay. The motel is a no frills, basic stay but the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. There is some highway noise but that's to be expected.
- Richard (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sabourin (8/5): Will be back next year great location great staff and good price! - Convenience literally a 2 min drive to our event Bathroom wasn’t the cleanest
- Edward (2/5): - No cable TV . Cable was dangling from the wall . This place should be condemned . Rickety steps up to the second floor rooms .
- Vito (6/5): It was OK - Room was OK. Manager was very helpful. Sink was clogged, shower head needed rescaling or replacement (water sprayed sideways on floor), no fan in bathroom (hole is ceiling), no phone in room, could not access cable tv (manager very helpful)
- Marie (1/5): outrageous pet deposit - The hotel tried to charge me a 250 deposit for my pet. I cancelled my reservation and left. I would like a refund The hotel tried to charge me a 250 deposit for my pet. I cancelled my reservation and left. I would like a refund
- Sylvia (6/5): - I found the room clean but dated. There were rust stains in the sink. Compared to other places I stayed in during this trip at comparable prices this was not the nicest. I would look for some place else next time I visit Lindsay.
- Karen (2/5): Don’t recommend - Beds were good Outside poorly kept up
Absolutely no effort made
Office was dirty
- Pardeep (6/5): Pleasant - Good water pressure, bed were comfortable. Was clean. Climate control was nice. Shower curtain was mildewy and stained.
- Jeannine (5/5): Passable - No breakfast, and not a great location since there is nothing else for a couple of miles, not even a coffee shop. But it's a motel under new management, and lots of work being done. I am sure it will improve, and the only staff person we saw was very friendly, polite and helpful.
- Olalekan (10/5): - Renovated rooms
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Nigel (2/5): - Very dirty, we had booked for business travel and needed to change hotels.
- Cheryl (4/5): - Although the gentleman that helped with the booking was pleasant and accommodating, this location could definitely benefit from a few updates to their rooms. Very outdated.
- Chandrasiri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josh (8/5): - Cheap and cheerful.
- Maria (5/5): Was an ok stay for what we needed but to sleep but prob wouldn’t get again - New beds / shower hot water was good Very run down.. when booking pictures in room were not what was there very deceiving .. they are under renovation . Owner didn’t seem to care that website wasn’t updated ..
- Katherine (7/5): Good -
- Jan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dipti (6/5): - Room door was broken, can't lock it
- Amber (8/5): It was an amazing experience. - It’s an amazing place comfortable beds, beautiful rooms. The 250 deposit was a bit ridiculous, I get there trying to deter people from smoking in the rooms but there going to lose business there.
- Glenn (7/5): Good -
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -
- Ken (6/5): Practical for one night say. - Everything in the room worked well. Nice towels, comfortable bed, and lots of hot water. TV had many channel options. No breakfast offered. Tim Hortons down the road but had no seating, only takeout. Area around the property needs to be tidied up to make it look more attractive. Location poor, out in nowhere, long way from Lindsay.
- Pradeep (2/5): - It’s not worthy
- Soukchamroeun (4/5): Very nice - I want you to put one more chair in the room because we have partnered Nothing
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (1/5): Don't stay here - Nothing The room had folding chairs and boxes. The a/c was noisy and ineffective. The shower sprayed up, not down. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We will not be recommending this motel to anyone.
- Catherine (8/5): - I wish we had been told of the car dealership and repair garage behind the room.
- Susan (4/5): - On arriving, one of our door “keys’ didn’t work. There were no hangers for the closet, no rod to hang things in the “closest” alcove, no towel racks in the bathroom, no toilet paper holder. The room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable and the refrigerator was great. Because there was no housekeeping (or even a broom) supplied, the floors got quite gritty. Our room was non-smoking; and the motel was quite empty of other travellers. Somehow, the front desk staff rented nearby rooms to smokers who gathered outside to visit, so our air conditioning unit sucked in all the smoke from their cigarettes.
- Ida (8/5): Adequate - Breakfast would have been nice. No breakfast. Really far out of town for walking. A shuttle service I to town would have been nice.
- Dale (8/5): - This property is clearly under construction as the new owners renovate. The rooms were clean, the mattresses very comfortable. No amenities at all, but for a quick overnight stay in the Kawartha’s at half the price of other hotels in the area, it worked just fine for us.
