- Stefano (10/5): A Lovely Riad with the Warmest Hospitality - We had a lovely stay at Riad Anata. We stayed for 3 nights in the White Room, which is located right next to the reception. At first, we were slightly worried about noise from outside the room, but honestly, it became very quiet at night and stayed that way until the morning, so we slept very well.
The room was in excellent condition and exceptionally clean. Everything felt well cared for, which made our stay very comfortable.
Breakfast was simple but beautifully prepared, with the kind of warmth and neatness that made it feel like a homemade meal.
I also highly recommend taking a cooking class with Samira. The market tour and the cooking class itself were wonderful experiences, but the food was the real highlight! It was definitely the best food we had in Morocco. Samira also prepared an amazing vitamin C boost tea for my husband because he was coughing so much. We will never forget her hospitality and kindness. Nothing!
- G. (10/5): Geweldig - Ligging, comfort, personeel, dakterras
- Margarida (9/5): Conforto e elegância no centro da Medina - As condições do quarto Nada
- Julia (10/5): - Excellent hotel with beautiful rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and delicious breakfast in the ideal location to go explore the Medina. I highly recommend it :)

- Alex (10/5): Amazing & delicious stay! - Amazing staff, beautiful facilities. Samiras cooking class was great! Our room was very comfortable, staff were very helpful and accommodating. Beautiful views from the top terrace! Nothing!

- Roberto (10/5): Soggiorno piacevolmente memorabile - Riad molto elegante e curato nei minimi dettagli. Posizione ottima.
Grazie a tutti! Porteremo con noi un ricordo indelebile! Niente!

- Priya (10/5): Beautiful boutique riad in Fes Medina - I booked the Red Room for 2 nights and it absolutely beautiful clean and cozy stocked with gorgeous bath products. The chef made an extra effort to accommodate me as a vegan during the cooking class
- Samuel (10/5): The perfect riad in Fez. - We loved everything….the building, the room, the roof terrace but most of all the staff, so gracious, so kind. It made our stay in Fez very special. We took Anata’s COOKING CLASS, and it was marvelous. Excellent location as well. If we visit Fez again, no doubt we will stay here. You should too! Nothing to dislike!
- Tetyana (10/5): Beautiful property, excellent service, kind people. -
- yurou (10/5): Amazing experience - Really beautiful Riad with wonderful staff! Make it a 5 star experience for us. I want to also recommend our Medina tour guide Momo who is def the best guide you can find in Fes! Born and raised in Fes knows exactly where to find the best view in Medina for you and very knowledgeable and friendly as well, not mentioning he speaks multiple languages including Japanese haha

- Vera (10/5): Amazing - Design, kindness, helpfully Nothing
- CampbellD (10/5): The best riad in Morocco - Rian Anata is the best riad we stayed at during our Morocco trip. The staff were friendly and welcoming. When we arrived we were greeted by Muhammed and welcomed into the courtyard, after being shown to our room Samira made us fresh Moroccan tea which we enjoyed on the terrace. Having heard about her cooking class from other reviewers, we asked her if we could join and she made time for us the next day. Cooking with Samira was a joyous experience and I would say it was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend taking part in the cooking class. In the evening Idris was always helpful and arranged our breakfast for the morning and shared local knowledge. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and the shower was hot and powerful. We enjoyed washing with the Moroccan black soap. The riad is located in walking distance to everything and it is well sign posted. It was a joy to stay here. It was so great we wanted to stay longer but sadly it was fully booked.
- Michael (10/5): - Es war alles Perfekt 😊 Danke
- Valentina (9/5): A wonderful Riad in Fes Medina … - A wonderful Riad inside the Medina, easy to reach by foot. Cozy room with every comfort you may need.
A super helpful and friendly staff, always ready to help us and give the perfect tips! Nothing… everything was perfect
- SHING WAI JEREMY (9/5): Great staff, great location! - Breakfast portions are huge and always freshly prepared when you arrive. Breakfast is on the rooftop where you'll get a good view of the sunrise.
The staff are sensational and do make this Riad what it is. A little dim in terms of lighting. On a sunny day, it would be no issue but we had several cloudy days and it just felt a bit dark most of the time.
Although they give you a space heater, it takes time to warm up and until then, the rooms are cold in the winter.
Buenos tips.
- Amy (8/5): Super cozy room in lovely riad - The coziest, most comfortable room I had in Morocco. The bed and pillows were lovely, I appreciated the reading lamps, the bathroom was luxurious, and I had no problem navigating the medina with maps.me. Driss was fantastic --when I asked I could buy the tea the riad served, he said there were lots of brands and he would be happy to get the best he could find for me and he returned shortly after with a box of it. Breakfast was always on the roof, even when it was colder and rainy. Sound travels really well. I think I had the place, or the at least my floor, to myself my first night. The second night I felt like I was part of the conversations the couple next door were having. Bring your earplugs.

- Cassie (9/5): - Nice staff and welcoming people
- Elisabeth (10/5): - Great, comfortable rooms, amazing breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff
Lekker ontbijt.
Goede douche!
Donkere kamer.
- KIT YING (10/5): A perfect place to stay. - I like the decoration of the Riad and its attention to detail — the owner clearly has good taste.
The place is even prettier than in the photos; it’s elegant yet creates a relaxing holiday vibe.
The rooftop is also very relaxing — I really enjoyed spending time there.
The hot water is sufficiently hot with good water pressure.
The staff are very nice and polite.
The location is superb.
It’s close to the main road, and the walk from the road to the Riad takes around five minutes, which is convenient.
It’s also close to the Blue Gate, where there are many nice restaurants. Our room was next to the kitchen, and around midday they run cooking classes there. It can get a bit noisy, but you’re unlikely to be in the room at that time anyway, so it wasn’t a problem for us.
At night, there were occasionally some people talking loudly on the rooftop of the neighbouring Riad, but that’s outside their control and it only lasted until around 10 pm. It was probably just a coincidence.
- Steven (10/5): Lovely, well located Riad with a wonderful host. - Right in the middle of the old Medina! The room was lovely as were the staff. Breakfast was always plentiful and delicious, served on the canopied rooftop. . We did have to take many stairs but that was our choice due to the room we chose. Also that’s common for all of Fes. Everything is up several flights of stairs. We definitely got a lot of exercise!
- Maria Daniela (9/5): - La atención del personal
- Monika (10/5): 10/10 - The rooms and the breakfast were amazing!
- Lai (10/5): -
- M (10/5): Beautiful riad in old Fes medina - Very cosy, warm and peaceful place. friendly and professional staff… they have organized airport pick up for us at 2:00 in the night and recommended great 3 days desert tour organizer. The brekafast was nice snd they have great honey which you can buy.
- albert en anneke (9/5): -
- Laura (9/5): Lovely stay, lovely and welcoming staff! Would recommend and hope to return one day! - The Riad is very quiet and clean. The staff person that greeted us after a long day of travel was very welcoming and helpful, leading us to the main area (near the Blue Gate) so that we could situate ourselves in the Medina and find some food. The aesthetic itself was so wonderful and authentic. Rooftop breakfast is a MUST. The best we had during our Moroccan travels. Many stairs if that’s something that bothers you. We stayed in the blue room at the top of the riad mind you.
- Melanie (10/5): - The staff
The breakfast on the roof top

- Kin Kwan (9/5): -

- Aatikah (10/5): - We all loved the Riad, it was very clean and cosy. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and very picturesque. The location was perfect, walking distance from most of the sites. All the staff were warm and welcoming - always ready to help if needed. Definitely would recommend to all looking to visit. Nothing
- Anne (7/5): Enjoyable. - The property is decorated to a high standard , is clean and well situated. The outside space is lovely, with a terrace and small dipping pool. Breakfast was delicious. The safe in the room was not secured in any way at all, simply sitting on a shelf and could have easily been picked up and removed rendering it useless.
Wine was available at the Riad; however, the mark up was outrageous, an 80dirham bottle was charged to guests at 280 .
- Nikhil (9/5): Superb -
- Oi (9/5): Superb - Good location and nice environment
- Gertruda (10/5): - The riad is very nice, nicely renovated. It is quiet at night and the location is great for during the day, you can reach old town within minutes by foot. The room was comfy and so was the bed, pillows etc.
The person who checked us in and helped us with most things, his name is Driss, was super nice, very helpful and makes all the difference in this little hotel.
The only thing you have to be careful with is parking. We didn't manage to find the upper parking lot (it's one way and incorrect on Google Maps) but parked on the street. The guys there are quiet pushy and can get uncomfortable. They asked for double price but thanks to Driss we payed the correct amount, 20MAD. There are different guys in the morning and evening so they might want the money twice, be careful. Also if you leave, you will need to pay again. So the best is to pay per day. Also it would have been helpful if the riad sent us the parking instructions in advance as some other roads do.
- Anthony (10/5): Very pleasant stay - Very clean, friendly staff and convenient
- Cal (10/5): All around great accommodations for a trip to Fez. - Location is great because you are in Medina but able to park very close. The cooking class with Samira was very fun and the food tasted so good.
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Javier (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (6/5): Don’t stay in the down stairs twin room it has a damp problem - The staff they were fantastic especially Driss that boy was a star
The breakfast were lovely and the evening meal we had Staff and location
- James (8/5): Very good - The room was damp and cold
- Catherine (10/5): Beautiful riad, delicious breakfasts and wonderful staff - The riad is stunning and the breakfasts were delicious. The staff were really kind too (especially Driss) - they made our stay in Fez even more special. We would definitely recommend Riad Anata!
- Szilvia (10/5): Riad that exceeded our expectations - Perfect location. Quiet place, yet close to the bustling Medina. Walking distance to all attractions. Delicious and wide selection of breakfast. Very friendly staff. Unique interior design.
- Nicholas (10/5): A fantastic place to stay in the Medina in Fes - The staff at Riad Anata are amazing. Very friendly and helpful. They gave us a lot of information for our stay in Fes. The room was very comfortable and have everything we needed. The breakfasts on the rooftop were great, with new options everyday. This was our favorite breakfast of the 5 places we stayed in Morocco. We enjoyed taking time in the afternoon to enjoy the views from the roof. The location was great, it wasn't far of a walk to get dropped off and picked up and we could easily walk to restaurants and sites in and out of the Medina. A minor issue, but we only received one large bottle of water upon check in, but for the length of our stay we ended up buying more water from a nearby store. It would be nice if they refreshed the room water, but not a big deal it was a fantastic stay.
- Yesha (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible Stay! Well curated, very comfortable, and really cute! Staff was very welcoming, accommodating, and all around fantastic. Cannot recommend this riad enough! Exceptional value. The breakfast in the mornings on the roof was just awesome! We also did the cooking class as a family of 6 adults. That was fabulous! We learned so much and it was one of the best Moroccan meals we had. Chef Hanissa is an expert.
- Hira (10/5): Phenomenal - Everything was aesthetically pleasing. Mr Mohamed and Mr Idrees were of great help. We had an early morning day trip, to ensure our safety and not missing the directions, they made sure to escort us and the best part with take away breakfast!!! Genuinely enjoyed our stay.. 💯 recommended to all those who visiting Fes.
- Haseeb (9/5): Superb -
- Pooja (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent service and staff. The riad was very well furnished and we loved the terrace. Highly recommend. The rooms were a bit small and the breakfast was a relatively minimal.
- Jonathon (9/5): Superb - This was a lovely Riad and great experience. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated.
- Polina (8/5): It’s really well-located, just 4-5 min walk from Medina, on a quiet street. The staff was very polite, there’s always so - Location, staff, spacious and comfortable room. The riad itself is not a riad, because it’s quite small and doesn’t have any garden. So it’s mostly the room experience, like a hotel.
- Vitor (10/5): Outstanding Hospitality and Impeccable Service - We had an amazing experience at Riad Anata! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and attention that we immediately felt at home. The entire team is exceptional, always ready to assist with anything we needed, including organizing our activities in Fez.
One of the highlights of our stay was, without a doubt, the Moroccan cooking class with Chef Samira. She guided us with so much patience and joy, sharing the secrets and traditions of Moroccan cuisine in such an engaging and unforgettable way. A unique and delicious experience that we highly recommend to everyone!
- Wiens (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thais (9/5): Ideal Riad in the heart of Fes - Beautiful riad with a very friendly manager and his colleague Idriss. The room was in our opinion big enough for the center of Fes. Even though we had a room in the groundfloor, the noice was very little. Nothing
- Ross (10/5): Outstanding Riad in Fes - First of all the staff at Riad Anata are amazing. Big shout out to Driss for all his help and kindness, but everyone was so great. The Riad is classy, quiet and comfortable too. We stayed on the ground floor and the room was spacious and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast and sunset drinks on the rooftop terrace were wonderful ways to bookend days exploring Fes. The location was right in the old Medina and only a short walk to great restaurants. Highly recommend staying here. Nothing. It was wonderful.
- Sarah (10/5): A Home Away from Home in the Medina - This beautiful Riad is a true gem, with an incredible attention to detail and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts are unbelievably kind and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Located in a quiet yet central part of the Medina, it offers the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. The breakfast is exceptional—fresh, and delicious, served on the terrace. Parking is available nearby, and the cooking class with Samira was an unforgettable highlight—hands down the best food we had in Morocco!
- Rosemarie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Klaijan (7/5): Great food, great people, but the bed was a little musty. - First thing first, their Chicken Tajine is SUPERB. The staffs were very nice and attentive. Shoutout to everyone there. You made the stay so great! The Riad was a lovely small one so the experience was very personal. I think they have at most 5 rooms. The rooftop area was relaxing. We stayed on the ground floor room. Something in the room smelled a little musty. Throughout our 3 nights stay that bothered me a lot about the hygiene. The bathroom has no lock and eventually the door was not completely shut.
- Katherine (10/5): The best of the best in Fes! - Amazing decor, fantastic location, delicious breakfasts, incredible shower and the most helpful team. We look forward to returning on our next trip to Fes. Nothing. It was a perfect stay.
- Maude (10/5): Exceptional - Everything- dedicated staff. Rooms are spacious.
Easy communication before and throughout our stay via what’s app regarding parking, dinner at the riad (delicious!!). One morning we had to leave early for a day trip and they prepared a small to-go breakfast box :)
Parking near the Riad is on the street where you pay a small fee to one of the attendants. Contact the Riad for more details - they can also meet you somewhere if you’re lost.
- Dou (10/5): Exceptional - Helpful staff, polite. Riad is located in Medina, public parking outside and then reach the hotel by walk.
- Chareen (10/5): A lovely place to escape to after the busy day - Very welcoming, good location , lovely rooms and food delicious Nothing
- Lâl (10/5): Exceptional Stay with a Memorable Tour! - Our stay at this hotel was truly amazing! The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable and cozy. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, making sure we were always well taken care of. The breakfast was fantastic, with a great variety of options. Another bonus is that the hotel sells Fes’ own local beer, which we highly recommend trying—it was one of the best beers we’ve ever had! The location might be a bit tricky to find, but the whole city of Fes is quite complex. However, the streets felt safe throughout. One important tip: don’t let people on the streets direct you. Maps works well from the old city gate to the hotel, so you can rely on that. Also, make sure to ask taxi drivers to turn on the meter; a ride from the train station to a nearby spot should cost no more than 10 dirhams. Lastly, I highly recommend requesting a tour guide from the hotel. We paid 50 euros for a 6-hour tour for two people, and it was an incredible experience. Our guide, Reda, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made our day unforgettable. I highly recommend this experience! -
- Jacoba (9/5): Perfect home away from home in Fez! - I really enjoyed my stay in Anata! The place is beautiful, location perfect and everyone from the staff is superfriendly.
Would definately return when i am in Fez!
- Wael (9/5): Superb -
- Kashif (4/5): clean Riad with nice staff but unreliable AC and misleading advice about restaurants and attractions - The staff was friendly. Mohammad went above and beyond with getting us to our next destination. The rooms were clean and the Riad is located near many sites worth visiting. The AC did not work properly which is a major problem, especially for a top floor unit in a city that can have really hot nights. Some of the information provided about which sites to visit and when was frustratingly unhelpful (we were recommended to visit Qarawiyyin during a time when it was closed before Dhuhr, for example). Some of the decor struck us as incongruent with Moroccan architecture and tradition which made more sense when we learned it was designed by Europeans and not Moroccans.
- Astrid (9/5): Calm atmosphere in a busy town - My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in the riad. Driss and Simo were very open hosts and helped us with every question about the city and things we could do.
The riad is very clean and nicely decorated, we really enjoyed the rooftop in the late afternoon/evening!
The breakfast was not very extensive but perfect for us.
Really a recommendation!
- Rayna (10/5): Absolutely loved our stay - if we are ever back in Fes we will only book at Riad Anata - My husband and I were visiting for our honeymoon and our stay at Riad Anata was beyond amazing. They went above and beyond to take care of anything and everything we needed - arranging a tour guide for the Medina (shoutout to Mohamed for being the most incredible guide), booking taxis for us and recommending/reserving our hammam appointment - they even offered to help book tickets for our bus to Chefchaouen. The breakfasts were the best we have had on our entire three weeks of travel! We cannot recommend this accommodation enough. Location to everything was perfect - not too much in the chaos but not too far out of the way. We also had the best sleeps in the most comfortable bed!
- Iris (9/5): Loved our stay at Riad Anata - We loved our stay at Anata, what a great team and good vibes! The Riad and the rooms are very clean and nicely decorated! The Riad is just outside the medina, perfect location to walk into the medina or get a taxi just around the corner. We had the green and red room on the second floor with 4 friends, we all fell in love with Fez and had a great time.
