- Claudia (10/5): - Die Lage, Ausstattung, Qualität der Betten waren toll. Wir haben sogar einen Seehund in der Bucht schwimmen sehen. Wir kamen zu Beginn der Nebensaison am 19.08. Es wäre gut gewesen, wenn der Betreiber im Vorfeld informiert hätte, dass das Restaurant mittlerweile geschlossen war, da der nächste Supermarkt ca. 5 km entfernt ist.

- Katrin (9/5): Es war mal wieder herrlich, sicher nicht das letzte mal. - Das vierte mal im tollen Farsund Resort und wieder begeistert. Die Aussicht, bzw die Lage direkt am Fjord ist fantastisch, mit dem Boot kann man ganz einfach in den nächsten Ort fahren. Herrliche Strände in der Umgebung, wir kommen gerne wieder. Jedes Doppelzimmer hatte sein eigenes Bad, alle sehr schallisoliert. Nach mehreren Jahren merkt man, dass einige Teile im Bad und in der Küche in die Jahre gekommen sind. Vielleicht die Duschbrausen einmal austauschen.

Ogni camera ha la sua card per l'apertura: questo comporta una privacy totale anche se si viaggia tra amici. La casa ha tutto ciò che serve per il soggiorno, è nuova e super pulita. Il resort è in mezzo alla natura e bellissimo: pontile, barchette, spiaggia, minigolf, capre, sauna... oltre ad un ristorante con terrazzo sul mare. Che dire, non si può desiderare di più!!! Nulla

- Yaroslav (8/5): Nice place to stay - Nice location, very nice and big house We made a reservation at 13:10 on the check in day. According to their policy, check in is until 23:30. We added our ETA time, but there was no response. Then we asked about check in instructions in massages, but the same thing happened. Nobody replied. When we arrived at 20:00, the reception was already closed and there was a sign to take the key in the green mailbox, if they are closed, but the mailbox was empty as well. There was a phone number to call, but unfortunately we couldn’t make a call as we didn’t have a Norwegian SIM card. But fortunately, after 15 minutes of waiting and walking around, somebody came and gave us keys and informed us, that they don’t accept reservations made during the check in day. When we asked them, why they charge money during reservation and give booking confirmation, they replied, they don’t know how to cancel this option (making reservation in the check in day), and they weren’t aware of our arrival. The Wi fi was also was very slow and it worked very badly (1 minute you are connected, than the signal is lost and you should reconnect manually again or wait few minutes to be connected automatically)

The rooms had great beds, and overall it was everything we needed and wanted. The reception staff could have been a bit more joyful. Polite but not adding to the experience.

- Malcolm (10/5): I would definitely return to appreciate farsund more with certainly more time than we had - Everything, it was very picturesque and a great start to our Norway trip The only negative was the telephone number needs updating with the site number , we was panicked because our flight was rescheduled then delayed so we sadly only arrived at midnight, but we was worried we wouldn’t have a place to stay due to check in closed
- Roger (9/5): A beautiful place with minor annoyances.. - Wonderfully quiet resort. We felt very comfortable. - The information in the house was only available in Norwegian. A resort with international guests should also provide informations in English. - Unfortunately, we were unable to charge our electric car! The wallbox only accepted a special Norwegian charging card or app. Again, there was no information in English. It should be possible to charge with various charging cards commonly used in Europe. Unfortunately, the charging option is not intended for European tourists from countries other than Norway.
- Petra (7/5): Good - We loved the place and resort overall. Beautiful area! Nice activities for families. Nice and clean apartments/spaces. The flat was on street level and with terrace facing the water which was really nice, the children could easily run in and out and play. Some of our bedrooms didn't have any curtains or blinds or other window covers, which made it absolutely impossible to sleep there - hence we could not use all bedrooms. We had booked one house and one flat and we were very disappointed to discover that the house didn't have access on street level, but the entrance was located one floor up - this made it difficult for us to have our kids play outside while we were cooking and preparing the house for example - overall very inconvenient when you have small children.

- Maryna (9/5): Nice place to visit with amazing views and sauna on water - Lovely place that has everything you need for nice self catering accommodation. Rooms are simple but have comfy beds. Linen and towels provided and we're free of charge. Be prepared to have enough food and necessary staff with you as nearest supermarket is not close. The best feature is a sauna on water.

Frustratingly bad communication and safety feeling - It was a beautiful place and the House was clean and there was lots of fun things to do at the resort They did not have any handicap parking, and when we asked were to park we were shown a good near handicap parking place, but morning after woke up to a move car asap note in window. We had to park the car far away at the resort parking. Which meant I could not get the things I needed in the car because of the distance. Also the house was impossible to get to with wheelchair because of lots of stairs everywhere. Luckily I can walk short distances but they had to carry a heavy electric wheelchair up the stairs for me then. In the area there was also many places not planned for wheelchairs so one walk ended up in over 4 dead ends 🙈 cause there was only stairs or to high edges. So if your bound to a chair. This may not be the place for you. This is as a difficulty specially for those who are handicapped. But it was big things for us. And it was very difficult to talk to those working there cause there was no communication. Also we spent weeks trying to talk to the property about things before hand, but we rarely got any answers. Which became a bit of a challenge, we had to book to separate bookings because the app was playing up and the resort could not fix an extra day themselves to our stay.. and we got no answers on the important questions we had. Usually one mail is more than enough to organize a trip for us that with handicap and dog is always a little more complicated. I know it’s out of season but The communication issue was very frustrating and I’m still tired from writing over ten messages and calling several unanswered times … and getting 2 mail answers that gave us no direction or help. Even a planned sauna trip(which you have to order), discussed on the messages, was not ordered when we arrived. My husband and was very upset about the trip. And I myself though maybe we were being scammed for a week before arrival. But I did love the house and the view when we arrived.

Very pleasant sitting area on the terrace outside not overlooked by neighbouring terrace. Kitchen was adequate for a short stay. No curtains or blinds in living room. Problem with non functioning key which was solved very quickly by cleaning personnel. We couldn’t get TV to work. Narrow car access at the rear of the flat to transport luggage. Meeting cars have to reverse.

Our accommodation, a spacious duplex cottage with three bedrooms and attached baths, was a true highlight of the stay. The large windows allowed us to wake up to the sight of sun-kissed trees and the melody of birdsong. Each bedroom felt like a private oasis, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploration. Farsund Resort's amenities were designed to enhance the natural experience. The outdoor pool, surrounded by lush greenery, was a refreshing retreat, while the spa facilities offered a tranquil space to unwind and rejuvenate. The stunning location, coupled with top-notch amenities and a three-bedroom duplex cottage, exceeded all expectations. Waking up to the sounds of nature in a cozy cottage with attached baths was pure bliss. The resort seamlessly blends luxury with the surrounding natural beauty, creating a perfect haven. A stay felt like a rejuvenating escape into tranquility. Highly recommend for those seeking a crisp retreat amidst nature. The cottage's fully equipped kitchen but for three families we need a moderate freeze with a freezer.

The staff was friendly, the coffee we bought in the morning was really bad (tasted like old coffee). But ok, usually the guest have a kitchen in the flat/houses. The apartment we booked was ok, a bit oldish but clean. For the price one of the most expensive during our Norway trip and in comparison to the other hotels we stayed in, not worth the money.

- Devon (10/5): Hidden gem! - The location is amazing! Right on the water and lots of amenities. Its a 15 minute drive to both farsund and Lyngdal. Having the entire house made it feel more like home. Kitchen was well stocked. We ate at the restaurant and had burgers and fish and chips. Both were excellent! We only stayed one night.
- Elizabeth (7/5): A great house at sea but you’re not alone. - Great house! -House near sea was not entirely private. Lot of other large boats arrived on a sunny day. With about 20 people they started BBQ and stayed the whole afternoon. We expected a private bay for our holiday home. But it was allowed by the owner of the property. -do not expect a lot of trails in the neighborhood.

Parking behind the unit was convenient. Beautiful location!! The restaurant / cafe was closed all weekend (though it was open to a private party). The staff person who directed us to the key box on the day of our arrival was only somewhat friendly. I did not receive instructions that there would be NO food (coffee, milk, butter, oil) in the unit so we had to turn around and drive 20 minutes the grocery store after we arrived. The check out experience was also odd as staff contacted me by phone and email to say I had left my luggage behind, which I had not. That was confusing.

- Ida Birgitte (10/5): - Var en fantastisk resort med masse fasiliteter som f.eks. badstue nede ved bryggen, det er volleyball bane, fotballbane, stier til å gå tur, en liten strand, kajakk hvis noen ville ut i vannet og bare et helt nydelig uteområdet. De har også restaurant åpent i sommerstider. Vi var der jo nå i januar og det var helt nydelig selv om mesteparten var stengt. Elsket huset vi leide! Var bad til alle rom et ekstra toalett i gangen. Gode senger. Servicen av de ansatte var helt ypperlig, var ingen problem å få lengre utsjekking. Kunne vært litt mer oppvasktabletter til oppvaskmaskinen og litt flere glass, tallerkner og bestikk så vi slapp å ta oppvasken så ofte, men ellers enn det så var oppholdet helt fantastisk. Skal definitivt tilbake om sommeren.

Vi er fornøyd, men ønsker å påpeke: * renhold kunne vært bedre - ikke at det er fryktelig men som sagt... * kjøkkenet kunne vært bedre utstyrt med tanke på at huset er til 8 personer. Kjøleskapet er i minste laget, det mangler mikro, fryser og brødrister. * hus til 8 bør ha salong til 8. Som det er nå må minst 3 sitte på pinnestoler. * de merkelige dorullholderne burde skiftes ut. * døren ut fra kjøkkenet i 128 er umulig å låse uten at en er på utsiden og drar opp håndtaket. Servicen er upåklagelig og vennlig. Og hele stedet er en drøm!

- Petter (10/5): Fam. opphold. - Kjenpefint opphold. Vi leide båt og fikk masse fisk. Et nydelig sted.
- Anne-Lise (10/5): En perle ved sjøen - Et veldig hyggelig belliggende sted, med småhusbebyggelse og vakre omgivelser som en luten landsby. Fin og stemningsfull restaurant og fellesareal som et midtpunkt. Nydelig natur med historisk kulturlandskap og bade- og fiskemuligheter rett utenfor døra. Et ypperlig sted for familieferie.
- Marit (10/5): Koselig resort - Idyllisk resort i stille og rolige omgivelser. Fine hus med god komfort for alle familiemedlemmer. Tettstedet Lyngdal nærmeste og beste handelssted. For alle som ønsker å lade batterier, kose seg med familie og venner, er dette et anbefalt sted. Men - negativt at utsjekk var allerede kl 10, litt tidlig. Ellers bra.

Perfekt sted for barn og familier med umiddelbar tilgang til natur enten du vil fange krabber, ta deg en tur i skogen, leie båt og dra på fiske. Eller kanskje du vil dra til sørlandsbadet, vi fikk gratis billetter til det i resepsjonen. Her har de alt samlet på et sted for det perfekte opphold og vi har booket allerede for Juni 2019.
