Guest Reviews
- Kimmarie (10/5): Wonderful - Spacious and clean
- Michae (10/5): - My family, and I enjoyed our stay. I would recommend it to others.
- Elizabeth (9/5): It was great! Will recommend this hotel to others. - Beautiful property, close proximity to many bars and restaurants The bacon at breakfast was a little undercooked, but that wouldn’t sway us to never stay there again. We enjoyed our room and staff was wonderful
- joleenf_13 (2/5): Gross - This place was dirty and very outdated. There was so much hair on the floors of the bathrooms. Furniture was all stained. Walls dirty.
- Christopher (9/5): - Quiet room. Decent price. Great breakfast and the location to the curling club was excellent. Not a lot. All around great stay
- G9239FFrr (10/5): I highly recommend this Residence Inn - This hotel was so clean. The front office staff was so friendly. The breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. The personnel seem to great pride in cleanliness and customer service. The rooms were so comfortable. The atmosphere was so peaceful. We got a great value on 2 rooms. It is located near some great places to shop and eat.
- Mark (10/5): Awesome very satisfied staff was warm welcoming and helpful - Breakfast was good. Swimming pool and exercise room a plus. Room was awesome! Loved it all Icy parking lot on north side
- S2700XWconnord (10/5): Best Stay Ever - College Basketball Team - We had an amazing experience and they treated us so well. We are a college men’s basketball team and they provided us with a free case of water for after our game! We appreciate you so much.
- MichelleVacationer (6/5): Clean, quiet, needs mattress upgrade - Ok part of town. Cosmetically, it looks good. It's clean. Breakfast has some hot items as well as fruit, cereal, yogurts, juices, coffee. The toaster doesn't work (so I used the waffle iron on the english muffins). Room was nice, kitchenette, gas fireplace. Two reasons this place didn't get a higher review: 1) could not get comfortable with mattress springs sticking into my shoulder blades (they need new better mattresses). The tub doesn't keep the water, so your soaking time is limited. 2) computer system is slow both for checking in and checking out. Was frustrating because we had doctor's appointments to keep (whole reason for this trip). So all in all, not a bad place to stay but given how room prices have gone up, I just don't feel the value was to my expectations.
- Kevin (9/5): Perfect stay for a stop while visiting Fargo. - Good oatmeal, clean and cool room, hot coffee and in a good location for outside walking. The work out facility was a bit outdated. But, functional.
- Lyndi (2/5): - So dirty and old- will NOT stay again. Room/lobby furniture were smelly, worn and dirty.
- Akela Anisha (10/5): -
- pahepners (10/5): week end get away - went with my family for a long weekend. this was our 48 out of 50 states, very clean, thanks wayne!. the facilities were very nice, but the staff is what makes this hotel exceptional.
- Hepner (10/5): -
- Go51233083000 (10/5): AWESOME SERVICE AND VERY VERY CLEAN!!! - The rooms are a wee tired, BUT this hotel is INCREDIBLY CLEAN!!! AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAR NONE! Every employee I encountered was friendly and went beyond expectations! I've worked for 4&5 Star facilities and they have nothing on this team! If you've had a bag experience in the past, try again .. they're making great changes!
- Dylan (10/5): We just needed a place to stay for the night, got a lovely room that was very clean and got to use the hot tub. Overall - Everything was clean, great amenities, loved using the hot tub! There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property
- S4491RNchadw (10/5): Best hotel in Fargo - We've stayed at several hotels in Fargo over the years and this is definitely the best. The staff was super helpful and friendly. It’s in a great location. The rooms are beautiful, clean, quiet and spacious. The pool area was simple but clean and not overly humid like most pool areas and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. I honestly have nothing negative to say about our stay. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Fargo, stop looking and book this.
- Todd (10/5): - Great experience
- Tianne (10/5): A perfect stay - By far one of my absolute favorite properties to stay at. It is clean, comfortable and exactly what you need in a hotel.
- Eve (10/5): Amazing stay and rooms - I was surprised that this room had a separate double bed with his own bathtub and washroom! And had 3 tv’s one in each room and living room. So clean. Loved that the hot tub and pool area closes at 11 pm.
- Steve (6/5): Needs Work. - Never clean our room when requested .
And when they did it was not a complete job always showed up the next day after we complained. Plus the place really needs a make over. Rooms, hallways , stairs and whole place
- Fetzer (8/5): Buying school clthes. - Breakfast was good. The club chair in Room 307 was horrible. It was very stained. Plus the couch had very big stained.
- Emily (6/5): - We loved the layout with 2 bedroom suite - although we wished there was one room with 2 queens and 1 with a king - just easier with our family. But we just noticed a lot of deferred maintenance - scuffed walls, poor carpet... the pool was hot and humid and not comfortable for adults to hang out.
- Lindsay (10/5): - It had everything we needed and spacious, breakfast was good and different options daily Liked everything
- Lennart (10/5): - All good
- Jacob (10/5): - Great property and room. My son even enjoyed the basketball court on the grounds!
- DLNY1 (8/5): I’d stay here again - Great location down the street from the Red River Zoo and the main shopping district is just a block away but the hotel was still quiet. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was firm enough for a good nights sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful. The washer (27 minutes) and the dryer (50 minutes) worked well and cost $2 each (quarters only). Room 410 did have what I hope was rust spots in the tub which made it look dirty and the tub drained very slowly during a shower.
- DianaKC79 (10/5): Clean and Convenient and Comfortable - We stayed here for 3 nights. It was very hot outside but are rooms were cool and comfortable. Our thermostat was at 68 the whole time. The rooms were clean and the kitchen is well-stocked. The hallways were hot but I didn’t spend much time in them, so that was fine. Some of the common areas were worn looking but our room was in good shape. The front desk staff was nice. Check in was easy. The continental breakfast was extensive and delicious. Even GF items on request including bread and muffins! Stayed with friends and they didn’t have any complaints either. Would definitely stay again.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Melissa (10/5): - We were there for State Trap Shooting and they were very accommodating to our team. They let us gather and order pizza for everyone in the dining area. Very nice and clean and friendly staff. This was our 2nd year staying there.
- wpgexpat (2/5): Poor customer service and communication - We were booked to stay at the Marriott Residence Inn June 20-21st. When we arrived, we were told our room was at the hotel next door. This was very odd so we asked to speak to the manager.... he was unavailable. We asked to see the queen room. What we saw was a dingy, grimy hotel lobby and room.... again, no manager to speak to.
This was a bait-and-switch maneuver by the Marriott Residence Inn Fargo hotel mgt. We have since reached out to Marriott Corporate Mgt team.
- jaysO4405JT (2/5): Nice....if your thermostat works. - At 12:30 we awoke and our room was at 78 degrees, despite being set at 69. The front desk person came into our room and stood there for 15 minutes to ensure the temp started dropping, which it did. By 6am our room was at 80 degrees again. I asked the manager what they could do for us, he said he would give me 5,000 points. Not much and I still haven't seen them in my account.
- BRYAN C (10/5): - Great property but it shows its age. Lots of wear on carpet and furniture. Needs to have some money invested in the property.
- Amy (8/5): - Our stay was all we needed, clean and comfortable. The only
- Nygaard (8/5): Very good -
- sandra (10/5): - We had a great stay at this hotel! It was clean and well kept, the staff were professional and the room was nice and spacious and included a kitchen area. The pool area was a nice size as well. I would stay here again!
- Nicole (4/5): - Upon arrival I was given a lesser room than what was booked. I was told the hotel was full. I was flexible and understanding, however asked that I be refunded for the difference in price between different room categories. They would not do that. I was given points instead. Why should I pay full price for a double suite that I didn’t stay in??
- Forrest (10/5): - Very accommodating staff. Clean rooms. Good location.
- Stephanie (10/5): - I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Pet friendly and grassy area with doggie waste bags and can. Beautiful common area decor. Elevator to upper floors. Fantastic staff. Rooms are INCREDIBLE. Full kitchen with full sized fridge, sink, dishwasher and basic supplies. Hook for dog leashes even. Living room has a small dining table and chairs, a comfy sectional pull out couch, a nice smart tv and an electric user friendly beautiful fireplace. The bedroom is separated by a door and has a huge king bed, comfy with lots of pillows and another smart tv. The bathroom has installed large pumps of great smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The shower is hot with great water pressure. The pool and hot tub are hot and FANTASTIC! The breakfast buffet is hands down the best I've ever had. Waffles with strawberries and whipped cream., sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa, hot oatmeal with every addition you can think of to add, brown sugar, granola, etc, sausage, ham and bacon, toast, muffins, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs, English muffins, the list goes on. So many small and thoughtful touches to everything this hotel offers. I wish there was one in every town. Seriously. Thank you for an amazing stay!
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Only stayed 1 night but would be a great place for multiple nights.
- Michelle (10/5): - Our number one spot in Fargo Moorhead!
- Michelle (10/5): Coming home. - Always amazing! Wonderful staff, clean, just like coming home!
- Naomi (10/5): - I like the common seating area
- Tom & Debby (10/5): - Very good
- Lisa (10/5): - Lovely staff and beautiful stay
- Virginia dauphinais (10/5): - The staff was amazing, she helped arrange and change accommodations. Excellent service
- Anna (10/5): - We're repeat customers. We like the quiet and convenience.
- Erin (6/5): - My stay was absolutely wonderful besides the check in with the staff, who was a team lead-named Foysal. I asked questions about what area of the building my room was in so I could get right there, he couldn’t answer; I asked to see a map of the hotel so I could get my answers, and he gave me a map of Fargo ND. Since he couldn’t answer my questions I began walking around to locate which way would be the room number and he began to question what I was doing.
On my final day, my key card was not working, I had to go down to the front desk 4 times myself, to get a key card that would work so I could pick up and not one of them worked. The fifth time I sent my daughter down, because he threatened to call the police on me-when I was just asking to get a new key card and ban me from that property-ALL BECAUSE I ASKED TO SPEAK TO HIS MANAGER the 3rd time I went down
- Angelique (6/5): Unusual unsatisfactory stay for this quality hotel - I have typically been very pleased with my stats here, but this past trip had fire alarms blaring at 1:30 am with fire trucks due to pipe issues. It took about four hours to fall back asleep and I had multiple speaking engagements the next day, so was exhausted. No mention of it at checkout
- Kris (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary and very good.
- Darcia (10/5): Book it! - We have booked there repeatedly because we like it so much. Great rooms, very clean, our top place
- Arlene (10/5): - The Marriott Residence Inn, Fargo ND is a newer hotel located on a quiet side street near I-94 and 45th street ( a major cross-town thoroughfare). The staff are very professional, courteous and helpful. They are knowledgeable about Fargo. The suite was spacious and clean -- there were adequate amenities provided. The breakfast menu included a variety of hot and cold food. We noticed that the breakfast menu was a major step above the usual (cheaper) offerings by lesser-rated hotels. The Residence Inn provided free-range eggs, real cream, multi-grain breads, fresh fruit plus hot and cold cereals and hot entrees. When the air conditioning wasn't working, the staff quickly resolved the issue. I highly recommend this hotel. As an added bonus, it is located close to all the major attractions in Fargo. I look forward to my next visit to the city of Fargo -- at the Residence Inn.
- Gary (10/5): - Did precheck prior to arrival. Greeted by front desk staff in a warm and friendly manner. Best check in ever!!
- Chivi (4/5): Big room but dirty - The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great; large selection and higher quality options. Our room was dirty. The walls had dirty marks everywhere, the dishes in the cupboards were not clean, the bathrooms had not been scrubbed, the fridge had leftovers from the previous guest.
- Corinne (6/5): The hotel was okay, would stay again - The tv in our first room wasn’t working. The staff upgraded the room and moved us. Nice staff. Took care of us. The bathroom was a little dirty in the corners and some of the headboards had hand prints on them. But overall the room was okay and clean
- Sandra (8/5): Very nice hotel - Very nice hotel, got the fireplace room, with kitchenette, nice full fridge which we thoroughly enjoyed, very nice shower. Very good breakfast, eggs, sausage patties, bacon, hot coffee, waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereals, juices, didn’t use pool
- Breanna (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (8/5): Would stay again. - I would stay here again. We had a suite and it was a nice layout. The furnishings were a little worn and the bathtub had a bit of rust but the overall stay was nice.
- Kathy (9/5): Superb -
- Rachael (6/5): - Not very clean. Water bottles under/behind beds. Main surfaces looked unclean
- Matthew (8/5): - Overall it was fine. It allowed pets which is great but there was SO MUCH poop outside. And one of the entrances didn’t work with keys, which got old. A few places in hallways were messy, like with food on the floor and stuff. Not bad, but could have been a bit nicer.
- Gina (1/5): Not Marriott expectations - Rust and mold in the bathtub, cold in one room and hot and stuffy in the main area. Staff said we would have a quiet area but put us right next to the stairs where people were running up and down all night as well as banging. Everything from the sofa to the bed was uncomfortable, the hot tub never worked and fell twice in the parking lot because they didn't salt the ice.
- Kimberly (4/5): - Check in was easy, staff was great. It was unusually crowded but the staff seemed to handle it with smiles and ease. Upon entering the room, I was shocked to find the room was super disgusting. We had been told earlier that we got the last room so we knew that would be our room no matter what. In terms of what was gross: Lots of other people’s hair everywhere (floors, tables, the bed and furniture and the desk and table), food crumbs on the floor and on chairs, piles of dirt in corners, the cups all stuck to the cabinet, the fridge was nasty with old food in all the cracks and sides of fridge, there was a lot of urine from a previous guest on one toilet that pooled at the bottom of the toilet, there were stains (we hope stains) on the pillow cases. The floors in the hallways were in pretty bad condition in terms of fibers being torn but did seem clean on our floor. I found the staff to be kind but on the way out I dropped off my key and the employee asked me how my stay went, I paused because I didn’t want to be unkind but it was the second dirtiest place I’d ever stayed so didn’t want to say it was great. What I said with a disappointed tone and disgusted face, was, “It was….ummm…okay.” The employee said, “great!” And that was that. My husband said, clearly a poor okay is good enough for them.
- Suzanne (8/5): - Staff was friendly and provided great customer service.
- Teresa (5/5): Besides the cleanliness of the room, everything else was fine. - Location and the front desk staff was friendly. My room was not very clean. The living room area was not vacuumed, there was not any extra toilet paper in the room. There was food splattered on the walls. The mirrors were smeared, and the sofa sleeper had dirty sheets on it. When I opened the utensil drawer to get a spoon, it still had food on the spoon. The lobby and breakfast area were clean.
- Jennifer (10/5): Quick, quiet, and quality stay - Quick overnight stay for Christmas with family. Front desk staff was polite, professional and speedy. Room was clean, warm breakfast with a variety of options available, and the hotel quiet. We will be back!
- Nichole (10/5): - Was there cause of Doctor visit..... Loved the stay
- Donnie (10/5): - Kind staff. Pretty good breakfast. Studio suite very nice! HVAC fan slightly rattles. Comfortable bed. Good hotel.
- Ashley (4/5): - Didn’t sleep well both nights we stayed, people on 4th floor were up at all hours stomping back and forth making our doors jiggle as well. Front desk was informed, nothing was fixed. Second night it continued so front desk was notified again. They found the noise this time and we were able to finally rest. Very poor quality pillows, neck hits the mattress even through two pillows. The hotel did discount 30 dollars a night( 60 in total) for the inconvenience but after taxes only seen 27$.
Overall the stay was decent, buffet was okay, staff pretty friendly. Being able to swim was a plus too.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good service but dirty. - Wasn't cleaned all the way/ garbage on the floor/ sticky stuff on the cabinet handles in the kitchenette/ bed clean sheets but unkempt/ old washcloth and hair in the shower.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Will stay again next time - I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was, comfortable beds and everyone slept great. We will definitely stay again. Only thing to note was breakfast was fine, not as amazing as I had read about, but still hot options and also waffles, plus other colder options.
- Sara (6/5): - Hotel was nice for the one night we stayed. The door right outside our room was not useable from the outside. Front desk claimed it was "broken because of the ice". Minor inconvenience but still not the best for the money we spent. Suite was comfortable and warm. Shower performed miracles with the water pressure. If it wasn't for that door, this would be a 4 or 5 star stay.
- Carolina (8/5): - Everything ok but property needs updating. Staff was very nice. Just be aware that the hotel charges a "Destination Fee" of $2.00 per night that is not inclided in their Expedia Fee nor is listed in the hotel description. We found this when did our check out.
- Shelly (10/5): Nice - Easy to book and friendly check in and out.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- marcos (10/5): - This place is very clean and people are very nice… recommend
- Perla (10/5): - It was a very pleasant experience!
- Mark (10/5): - Folks we encountered were helpful and nice, sorry we didn’t get any names. For the most part the property was well maintained. We stayed on the 2nd floor and our room was clean and pleasant to be in. Everything as expected was there and worked. There were however places in the hallways that showed great wear on the carpet, threadbare in fact. Overall we made an excellent choice. Cheers.
- Shelly (5/5): Passable - Room was good size, breakfast was good. Large rust spots in shower, mold on shower curtain. Pool area was very dirty. Ran out of pool towels twice
- Amanda (6/5): - I would call this hotel just average compared to other Marriott properties. The rooms need some updating. Our shower had rust/other stains and parts of the tub that were wearing away, and it also was incredibly slow to drain. Some other area of the bathroom are just visibly getting old, and the bathroom fan was full of dust. Our room was mostly clean upon arrival but some of the not so obvious areas (below the sink) could use a dusting. And the dishwasher had water just sitting in the bottom of it. Also the pool room was on the chilly side and so was the water, so swimming was not super enjoyable for my kids! The breakfast was overall pretty good though.
- Brandi L (10/5): - Excellent location, staff were friendly and very helpful
- Jacy (8/5): - Great stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Would stay again. - The staff was wonderful. Our room was a little dirty (a hair on shower wall and a couple hairs left on the bathroom floor) but nothing to make us want to leave. The tub was a little worn, but completely usable. Top notch water pressure. The pool area was clean and well stocked with towels. Breakfast was well great. Our family left happy'
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing - We liked the area of where it is located at. All the noise from kids running around late at night, and them banging on the walls. The swimming pool was dirty like really dirty, and super cold.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - My wife and I liked the nice quietness.
- Michael (3/5): Poor - Location All the noise from kids running around late at night
- Scott (6/5): - Disappointed, They asked if we would like our room cleaned every other day, which I agreed to, but they never did. I expect better from Marriott.
- Shelly (10/5): Great hotel and awesome staff. - Lovely hotel, friendly well groomed staff. The hotel was clean, inviting and offered a surprisingly very nice breakfast buffet.
- Rome (10/5): - Clean room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing breakfast. Cannot fault the place.
- Lea (6/5): - Property was slightly dated but still nice. Room was decently clean. Breakfast was slightly better than your typical hotel breakfast which was great.
Service was lacking. Pull out sofa bed, however there was no bedding provided for it. Also only two towels provided. Had to wait a bit at the front desk for someone to come. When requesting the items it took him a while to come back but even then, he wasn’t able to provide us with all the bedding we needed. Said he will look for more and bring it by the room. Never came by. There were also no towels at the pool area.
Overall service was lacking a little bit, everything else was good.
- robyny23 (10/5): Great stay, should be rated higher - Stayed here for multiple weeks while my partner was working in town. Suites are spacious and love the size of the couch. Love the TV so you can watch your own Netflix and prime. The kitchen is extremely well stocked for cooking your own meals. A wonderful breakfast is provided daily until 10! Variety of hot and cold items from waffles, oatmeal bar with toppings, bacon, eggs and even one day there was quiche! The pool area is great, including a hot tub. There is a nice outside area with bbq grill you can use. Only minor complaints. Room 410 is by the elevator and you can hear it ding when it goes up and down every floor. Room 402 is close to 3 other doors/rooms at the end of the hall , so you hear all the people coming and going and slamming their doors. Pick somewhere in the middle. Some of the tubs have rust/ older... could use a renovation. Consistency of room service picking up garbage, new towels, toilet paper could be improved for weekly stays.
I loved seeing the general manager talking to guests and seeing how their stay was or how breakfast was. The staff seemed to care about guest experience. Highly recommend this hotel to others!
- davidjl1962 (8/5): Very good stay - would come again - Pros:
-Very well maintained property.
-Excellent staff working at front desk and breakfast area.
-Very clean rooms, nice décor.
-Clean bathroom, very good shower pressure.
-Excellent choices for breakfast.
-Quiet room.
-Smart TV's with lots of choices.
-Very kind Manager.
Cons:
-Bed mattress was not firm, could use replacement.
-Pillows were too soft.
Maintenance items (informed front desk to add to their to do list):
-Sink in bathroom area drained very slowly, needs to be flushed.
-Mold in spots in silicone around the tub, needs replacement.
Summary:
We would for sure stay in this Hotel again.
Stayed October 2024.
- Kathleen (10/5): - Spacious Suite & TV with streaming options
- Matt (6/5): - Great breakfast. Loved courtyard, nice room w/ amenities. Ac didnt work. Bathroom kindof dirty. Hair on floor
- Natalija (8/5): - The room was nice and big, however not spotless. Location wise its great, lots of shopping and dining options just a short drive away.
- Sarah (10/5): - We loved almost everything about our stay.♥️ The bedding for the sofa bed was not in the room so we had to get it from the front desk . Also - the sofa bed was very uncomfortable - we suggest either new ones or at least a foam topper be available.
- Mercedez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elena (8/5): - The room was clean, some spots are dated. The breakfast was really good (cereal, yogurt, eggs, ham, warm buns and gravy, fruits, etc.). Location is very nice, safe, clean and quiet, and at the same time close to everything. When we are in Fargo, we will stay there again.
- Isabelle (4/5): - i stayed at this hotel a month ago and they double charged my card without telling me and never responded to my inquiry when asked about it.
- Ken (8/5): - Management was good. Great breakfast. Would stay again.
