- Michael (6/5): - I specifically asked for a non smoking room and not Nextdoor to a smoking room. Towels, sheets, pillows etc smelled like cigarette smoke. Woke up to a strong smell of cigarette smoke coming from the room next door. Other than that, it was a decent room at a decent price.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Cleaning - We had an issue with our first room and the management moved us to a new room and the difference was almost night and day. However, the cleaning was very minimal and it showed. They basically only made the bed, changed towels and replenished soap, shampoo, and coffee some days. They never swept, mopped or vacuumed and didn't clean the toilet.

- Jeremy (6/5): Disappointed - The hotel was older but looked to be remodeled. The biggest issue we had was that we booked it because it had a pool and we went for the 4th of July weekend. However, the pool was closed/broken/whatever. We were extremely disappointed. Also, the coffee pot had old, used coffee still in it and there were empty water bottles in the room. It really made me question the cleanliness of the room.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Dirty rooms and very poor customer service - Upon arriving I woke up the person at the front desk. I was told that I would need to come back later to receive my room assignment, even though it was well after the 3 pm check in time. I explained this, then the employee said they didn't know where I was supposed to go and I needed to wait for the cleaning person to finish. I suggested we try finding them or calling them, to which the front desk attendant offered me a room key for Room 101. I was told I could look at the room and, if it was clean, I could take it. The room smelled like an ashtray immediately upon opening the door so I returned to the front desk. After some more coaxing, the person working the desk called the cleaning person and assigned me a different room- 109. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, there were visible splotches of something white in and around the sink, the toilet had some mysterious purple goo on it, and the bed sheets had burn holes from cigarettes and stains on them. The room felt like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. I think the "cleaning" consisted of making sure the bed was clean and that there was a sample of soap on the counter, next to the sink. I returned to the front desk, but there wasn't anyone at the front desk who could help rectify the situation. I wound up purchasing Lysol to clean high touch surfaces. To top things off, the walls are quite thin. You can hear the traffic and trains going by next to the motel along with snoring patrons in other rooms.

- Thomas (4/5): - The rooms are filthy, I was supposed to be in a non-smoking room and it smelled like a smoker had just recently been in it. I had to go buy Febreze to make the room tolerable. Not to mention that the sink didn’t work. I would say, what do you expect for the money but the Motel 6 nearby is much cleaner and not any more expensive. The condition of the property is just the owners milking every penny they can get out of it without putting anything back in.

I reported the day without house keeping to attendant who said all they could do is try to reach house keeping because attendant did not have access to clean linens or towels. Never heard from anyone.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't stay here. - Booked a Non-smoking room. Arrived and the room smelled of a freshly smoked cigarette. Towels, bedding all stained. Cigarette holes in bedding. Clumps of hair on floor. Dirty toilet. Flys coming from the nasty hole in sink. Got email from hotel that we wouldn't get room service. Came back to our room after leaving for a couple hours someone came in took dirty towels and again smoked in the room. No pool. Advertised there's a pool but nope it hasn't worked in years apparently. AC didn't work properly.

The sites that assist with booking should know that they don’t allow the pool to be used & that pets are not free to stay. When I booked this 1 reason we chose this location was the advertised pet friendly and there was no mention of additional charges for pets. However, they billed me an additional $200 for our pets.

They moved us next door to another room and there was a dead roach in the bathtub and the toilet didn’t work well at all. Staff was very kind and helpful though. I wouldn’t stay there again though. The roach was too much... these were also supposedly just remodeled also. They didn’t do a great job remodeling...
- FunnyFisher (4/5): Dingy - The Best Word to Describe This Place - As my title states, this place is outright dingy. A magic eraser, broom, and paint could help out this distressed piece of property quite a bit. Unfortunately I booked this room with a pre-paid price, so I couldn’t really get out of it (it had mixed reviews). Walls were covered in smudges, food residue, scuffs, and dirt. Bath tub could be easily seen as not clean, as months of water dripping and dirt have stained the tub liner. Spots of rust and painted-over mold and hair is evident. Furniture in room was a bit beat. There were glass/bottle rings on the desk, so I know that the surfaces were not wiped down. Base of the furniture had a thick coat of dust, as did higher areas in the room such as mirror tops and the top of the shower liner. In a world of COVID scares, cleaning should be a priority - the housekeeping here is close to non existent. Bed linens had multiple cigarette burns (I counted 4 holes on 3 different pieces of bedding) - and the room had a stale marijuana odor to it, despite it being a no smoking room. The odor would come and go- leaving me to believe there is drug usage in the neighboring rooms. It was strong shortly after checking in, and very strong in the morning when I was getting ready. They claim to have breakfast - but none was available. Was thinking because of COVID, but noticed that people have given reviews in the past few months regarding the quality of the breakfast (when COVID was big). No breakfast - in fact they have the lobby completely closed - you have to pay and check in trough a side glass window. I did pre-pay for the room, through Choice Hotels direct, but the receipt was a few dollars more than what I was “guaranteed rate.” My rate was higher, but of course the guy at the desk said it was Choice Hotels’ fault and not his. So much for a guaranteed low pre-paid rate. I travel quite extensively throughout the year for both work and leisure- I make it a point to review EVERY hotel that I stay in, both the good and the bad. I frequently use Trip Advisor for my hotel decisions - and find this is the best way for me to give back to the Trip Advisor community. You can assure that my reviews are accurate and honest.
- saralynnbadders (2/5): Don’t stay - I checked into the hotel there was mold all over my room, dead bugs, blue stain on the carpet, handprints on the wall. Lady said they don’t clean rooms when I asked if she seen that room. Rude customer service.

- Christopher (2/5): Disgusting - This was the most disgusting motel I have ever stayed in. First impression: my non-smoking room stank of smoke. Cigarette burns on the bedding. Then I noticed the walls- dried, blood streaked sputum in multiple places. In the bathroom, previous occupants must have flicked 'buggers' on the wall. The door to the outside had no weather-stripping, and you could see large gaps to the outside- resulting in all kinds of flying insects in the room. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
- tonya (4/5): Not the usual Econo Lodge standards. - They had to move us three times because the non smoking room smelled of smoke. After we went in the third room we gave up and stayed in it even though it smelled of smoke. The floors were not vacuumed there was stuff all over them. The counter in bathroom was falling off of the wall and the sink was stopped up. When I reported these problems at check out the attendant said “ok”. He didn’t seem to care at all.

If it had not been for the fact that my son was in a competition at the local high school and we were desperate for sleep (the surrounding area hotels were booked - I checked), we would NEVER have stayed in the room. It was obvious that the room had not been cleaned - maybe in a while. The tub had mold in it. The sink had either dirt or dried blood in it. There were holes in the wall above the toilet. Overall the room was nasty and smelled terrible. I will never book with Econo Lodge again.

The room was very old and outdated and the bed was very hard and the shower didn't drain. Just an overall terrible experience. Would never stay here again.
