- raymondgonzales1978 (8/5): Affordable Comfort in the Heart of Juffair - The Juffair Gate Hotel is an excellent choice for travelers seeking an affordable and conveniently located stay in Bahrain. I arrived late at night and was pleased to find a clean, spacious room with all the necessary conveniences, including fast Wi-Fi. The hotel is situated in Juffair, a lively area filled with bars, massage shops, and a variety of restaurants, making it perfect for those who want to be close to the action. Free parking and a safe environment added to the convenience and peace of mind during my stay. While the room showed some signs of wear and tear, it was well-maintained overall and met my expectations for the price. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would choose Juffair Gate Hotel again for its value and location.
- Omar (2/5): - Even the reception lady was very rude!
- Mark (2/5): - It's nothing like the pictures. It's a dinisaur fallen on hard times. None of the 5 restaurants, gym or spa are open. Very average breakfast is delivered to the room due to no dining space. Key card stopped working. Er... staff were polite (except the noisy haridan on reception)
- Hasan (4/5): - ا
- turki (6/5): - Room had no Towels
Safety Box not working
- osama (2/5): - its was ok but not clean
- Hasani (4/5): - The room was spacious, bed super comfortable but that is about where the good ends. Every time my GF came came into the hotel they kept bothering her if she checked in even though she's staying in the hotel. And my biggest issue was the A/C didn't work properly. The room was scorching hot compared to outside in the hallways or even outside at times. Definitely not staying here again and I stayed here a few times before COVID, it was great. The SPA there is amazing I have to say.
- Sam (6/5): - First time staying at this hotel, fairly last minute booking visiting the Bahrain F1.
On the plus side. Our twin room was very spacious and the aircon worked very well.
However, the shower in the room was probably the worst shower I’ve ever used, the room wasn’t cleaned in 4 days and the switches to either request cleaning or do not disturb didn’t work.
Found the reception desk a little bit moody as well.
The area around the hotel seems okay, a few restaurants nearby, the hotel has a bar/club in it - it looked a little ‘suspect’ I have to say.
- ALA (6/5): - I went with my kids. Won't recommend it if you travelling with your family. Room is old style. Bathroom was not really clean.
- Freddy (10/5): - Good value for money, room is clean and bed comfortable.
- Mohammed (6/5): - Receptionists was not helpful at all
- Elaine (10/5): - Unique staff
- jabesa35 (10/5): Gem of Juffair - Professional, courteous service from the front desk, housekeeping and room service teams. Spacious rooms, large bathrooms, comfy bed. This is my go-to spot on all trips to Manama from now on. Uh oh, the secret’s out!
- Stewart (10/5): Two night stay, solo traveller. - You really can't go wrong with this place.
Staff where fantastic from reception to cleaners, all very friendly and polite.
Room was clean and in good condition, room facilities a good and shower is fantastic.
Good breakfast delivered to my room.
Pool was closed unfortunately and i had a look at the gym which i wound say was the place only let down.
Very conveniently located for pubs and clubs.
I would happily stay and recommend this property.
Thank you Juffair Gate Hotel.
- siddharthm318 (2/5): Fortnight Stay with excellent hotel staff, non caring management - We stayed for a fortnight here
Full points to Excellent staff
However, hotel management did not care to send a cake / greetings for our sons first birthday ! We arranged our own self for a cake !
Even though we overstayed for 9 hours but hotel charges full day cost ! To mention we checked in at 2am the first morning ! To sum up over all we did not even stayed full 14 nights but were charged 15 nights !
if you wish to stay here: hotel staff is excellent but clarify the financial parts before confirming your stay
- Michael (8/5): Fair to middling - 3 star hotel got what I paid for. Room was clean but bit run down. En suite so no issues taking a shower. Parking was scary tight bends in multi story.
- Francis (6/5): Pity... - It seems this hotel exists to provide 4 nightclubs for Russians and Saudis, up to 5am at deafening levels. ..The concerns of the actual customers who sleep in the rooms are very low on the totem pole...the nice staff are hamstrung by the owners pursuit of profit from the clubs to the detriment of the actual customers. Surreal really..!
- Stephen (10/5): Always a pleasant stay - It had been 4 months since our last stay at this hotel, yet the staff still recognised us and made us feel welcome. It’s always a nice stay. Would certainly recommend.
- rashidhahmed (4/5): Make it your last option - The rooms are good enough but housekeeping is terrible. The locker wouldn't work. They give you a single towel which has stains on them. Wouldn't recommend for families with small children as there is music thumping from clubs on the lower floors way into the night.
- marcus (8/5): good stay - My Hotel stay was good for the price
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bed sheet was not clean.
Not enough towels.
Spa timing is not suitable.
Car parking (p2) miserable, do full of wooden workshop. Not enough parking lot.
- Antonio (6/5): - The overall stay was ok. The room was a bit on the small side, personal opinion.
- John (8/5): Great Hotel! - I stayed here with 3 other friends and had a great time. It is a great price and very local to several bars in Juffair. There is also a small nightclub next door. We will definitely be staying agaon
- Verified traveler (2/5): - All property smells terribly to cigarette. Even though I requested non smoking room they gave smoking room. It is not at hotel for families.
- Javed (10/5): Stay with juffair Gate Hotel - Room was small, cleaning, service all good also friendly customer support, overall it's good. Wifi also good
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Always its a nice place to be in.
spa needs some upgrades.
- BM (6/5): - The place is old and needs an urgent refurbish. Rooms were smelly, AC not easy to adhjust, and in general they focus on their bars and clubs instead of the rooms and guests.
- Madeyes (2/5): Run down - There’s much nicer places to stay for the same price. Broken shelves, safe fell on the floor, slow service f generally just a run down room & fittings.
I wouldn’t stay there again unless they halved the price.
- peterdK8373KO (10/5): Great Service - Always stay here when visiting Juffair. The staff are all extremely helpful and welcoming with room requests. There's a decent bar on-site and there are a lot of other entertainment establishments within walking distance along with some good restaurants. Highly reccomend. Staff take good care of you. Large clean rooms and excellent value.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel was nice but the area offers nothing for tourists. There is a small mall a few blocks away, but nothing else.
- George (2/5): Don’t stay here - The toilet lid was broken and they kinda fixed it but not really. Stepped on a nail in my room 5 minutes into arriving. There were two shower heads the sprayer was ok but not great the rain one over head one was broken. The internet WiFi was so bad I could not text anyone. Honestly this hotel is poorly run by an agency looking at quantity over quality and repeat customer base.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was very small, and needed some repair in the shower.
- Ahmed (4/5): Very bad experience - This the worst hotel I've ever visited. Staff are really rude and never helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I stayed at this hotel many times before and the quality has fallen. The room was much smaller than what I had stayed in before. They made excuses about why I couldn't get a better room. Then, they tried to double charge me even though I had paid online. I will never stay here again.
- eyesonthomas (10/5): Nice place in the center of Juffair - Clean, well maintained. decent breakfast. early check-in / late check-out. staff helpful and well trained. reception very fast processing. parking slight tight but manageable. Liv club within the hotel. Busters club walking distance
- Shimnik (6/5): Extremely loud in the night! - The hotel is extremely loud! For most of the people it would not be possible to sleep. It seems that a night club is the next door. Take into account that we stayed in the hotel on Tuesday. It is not family or couple friendly. I would call it a motel if it was in the USA. A shower is a joke. It is broken. The hotel is not new. It is not very expensive but still does not worth the money you pay. Even though I booked a non-smoking room, we found an ashtray on a table.
- Ramslb (8/5): Comfy + Spacious Rooms - Checked in for one night at the Juffair Gate, reception staff are friendly and very supportive. Rooms are very clean, spacious with a nice view. Beds are very comfy. WiFi is very fast. Overall this hotel is great. It’s only noisy at night and most of Bahrain hotels are noisy at night.
- nakkad (6/5): good - The price of accommodation is very good; the employees in the reception and restaurant are friendly , in general the room good clean & comfortable, Reasonable breakfast, free parking, free wifi and was close to the shopping/ food area
- 400bassemk (8/5): Comfortable but noisy at night - It was a good stay and clean with good service. Night club sounds at night was noisy. I would go there another time, however I hope they add some noise proofing or reduce the music volume. The breakfast was OK although it can get boring because they offer the same everyday.
- romello_202 (8/5): Excellent location and price for the area - Excellent location and price for the area.
If you need a hotel in the Juffari area, near all the action, this is the place for you. Clean, nice room, no guest fees, near all the good bars, clubs, etc you can't ask for much more.
- Samoline (6/5): noisy... excellent staff though - The staff were really very good specially those at the reception, have changed the room several times on check in due asking for as far as possible from the party venues, the pub and night club, which they have several in the hotel, yet at night it was still loud and i can hear the music, the room was clean and specious. I have chosen the hotel due to location, being next to where my friends live.
- nraj99 (8/5): Juffair Gate Hotel (formerly Al Murooj Hotel) - Had a superior room for 1 night (family of 4) and the hotel accommodated without paying extra for my son who is above 12. Clean hotel with good smiling staff at all time. Check in was quick. House keeping was quick and responsive. The Mini bar was filled and not empty. Wifi was fast. Parking available in the premises as well as in front of hotel. Good Location. Safe for family though it has clubs in its premises.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room is small but overall the hotel is clean and friendly staff.
- Christopher (4/5): Beware 11th floor! - Pretty much had a miserable time from start to end. They put me in a room with the name plate of disabled on the 11th floor. Staff was OK but room was terrible. Room smelled of urine. Bed was really uncomfortable. Felt like sleeping on cement. Bathroom I later figured out was the cause the smell when I turn on the shower head and the bathroom floor completely filled up... no bathtub.
- Trent (10/5): Top Juffair recomendation - Best value in juffair. Newly renovated, steps from everything. Free breakfast and wifi. And impossible to beat the price for the money.
- T (10/5): Great Staff - Excellent staff! Very kind and helpful! Even kept the breakfast buffet open past closing to accommodate me.
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice hotel - we enjoyed in this hotel it is wise to clean would like to break fast
- Ryan (10/5): - I stayed 2 days. The staff was very nice and bent over backwards to assist in all request. the lounge was quite with a friendly staff also. the only downfall was the menu for room service however the in room breakfast was good.
- Mark (8/5): - Solid / basic room ... very reasonably priced and close to a bunch of restaurants. My only complaint is there were only two cheap towels in the bathroom, one bath and one medium, but otherwise a decent place for someone on a budget.
- Abdulrahman (6/5): Normal hotel. - The hotel is good or very good. The resptionits were very cold in reiceiving me. The breakfast buffet was included but not good at all. I won't stay in it again I will choose Al saif area.
- ali (2/5): Terrible Stay - This place is a joke. We showed up with our reservation and they couldn't find it for some reason even though I had the reservation number and e-mail showing the confirmation. So they asked us to sit for around 20 minutes until they sorted it out. I asked if we can have some water while we wait and the rude receptionist, without even make eye contact simply points and says "the restaurant is over there..."
We finally got our room keys and went up to our room. The whole place stunk like ammonia. I'm not sure what they are trying to clean or cover up. The room was small and the bed felt like it was made of cement. I asked for an iron and it never came.
Never staying at this filthy place again. Dirty, rude staff, no customer service, and honestly it is overpriced for what it is.
- Francis (8/5): solid performance.. - I've stayed here a few times. Does what it says on the tin..modern, new, good breakfast..good taxi service to airport, could improve on wifi..and the noise from the nightclub..(moved me a few times )..which every hotel seems to have. nice staff but communication often difficult (patchy english)
- Franklin M (8/5): A great value for the money - I frequently stay at the Al Murooj when I go to Bahrain. The staff are friendly, the rooms are comfortable though the bathroom towels are could be better. That's my biggest issue, they only provide 2 thin towels
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice and clean hotel - Nice and clean hotel it's my third time in this hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel but too small parking that's only the problem in this hotel
- Frank (8/5): Good location in Juffair. - I worked in hotels years ago for some time, so I'm qualified to say that this one scores well in all areas.
The staff were nice and helpful, the room was of adequate size, and it was clean and quiet. The hotel facilities were in good condition. Room service was very satisfactory.
For the price I paid, I think I got good value. This hotel is just as good as two others I stayed in within a 100-metre radius of it, and it was just as good, but the price was considerably lower. I definitely would like to come back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice stay
- Cass (8/5): Great location - This hotel is right around the corner from the wrangler which is a very fun club. And walking distance from America street and the navy base. It was very convienent and I didn't have to use a taxi a lot which I love! Elevators are slow. Fitness room is minimal, pool is old, but overall good for the price.
- Ziad (6/5): First stay was better - This is the second time I stay here in the past two months. I was quite impressed the first time, less so this time around. The room seemed in need of some updating, and noise from the club on 2nd floor was heard in the room. The bed was comfortable and I did have a good sleep.
- Verified traveler (10/5): V good - Hotel is very good and nearby market and resturant and coffee shop within 2 minutes
- azs (10/5): it is outstanding hotel - one day was excellent since nearby restaurant
mall
bank ATM
parking
visitors
- Masudbek (6/5): Good hotel - In general I think that hotels in Bahrain are outlandishly overpriced but comparing to its peers in Bahrain this hotel appears to be quite good for the money it costs.
- Franklin M (8/5): Nice hotel, nice rate - I travel to Bahrain often and always looking for a good hotel deal. The Murooj is a nice hotel, clean, quiet, and conveniently located. Parking is a bit tough in their garage as the spaces are very small, so if you have a large SUV wouldn't be able to park there without risking hitting the walls with your car. Definitely a great value for the money. I will stay there again
- PM (8/5): Nice hotel - This is a comfortable and quiet place to relax. A solid 4 star hotel.
