- Enrico (10/5): Amazing hotel, would go back to Kathmandu just to stay here! - It’s an oasis of tranquility in the middle of chaotic Kathmandu. Not much really…our room’s view was towards the back, so not as nice, but not really an issue, you can’t have it all!

- Carolina Maria (10/5): A beautiful and memorable stay in Kathmandu - Everything was great. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, the beautiful design, and the attention to detail. A special thank you to Prosjen, and the front desk team who were always so helpful and made everything smooth throughout my stay. Also, Achyu at the restaurant took such great care of me—always attentive to my food intolerances and preferences, truly making me feel at home. Honestly, nothing. Everything met my expectations.

If you want it a bit more minimalist or more “fas - Absolutely stunning property with a unique sense of place. The architecture and interiors are beautifully curated, blending traditional Nepalese craftsmanship with refined luxury. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. The rooms were spacious, serene, and very comfortable, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and grounding. The food was also excellent, with great quality and variety

- Eoin (9/5): Nice property - Such an incredible property, really comfortable, great food and friendly staff. Everything you could ask for. When inside, feels like you are totally removed from the chaos of Kathmandu city. I was trying to book a second night directly through the hotel instead of via booking.com, but the reservation personnel didn’t really seem too bothered in making a deal happen directly through the hotel, which I found a little off putting as I could tell there were plenty of rooms still available. In the end I just booked it through booking.com which was cheaper than what he was offering directly through the hotel. Secondly, my room wasn’t ready when I arrived to the hotel which is totally fine, no issue, so I went out and explored Kathmandu. For the price I was paying for the room, I kinda assumed that my luggage would have been transferred to the room in the meantime once the room was ready, but when I came back, it wasn’t and I had to get my bags myself and bring them to the room.
- Gavin (10/5): An amazing stay in Kathmandu. Highly recommended. - A sanctuary inside a hectic city. This was the highlight of our trip to Nepal. From the moment we exited our vehicle to walking through the front door, we were met with a high level of service. We opted to take up the offer of a room upgrade which included free breakfast. Our executive suite had a lovely view over the courtyard. Thoroughly enjoyed the activities on offer from the morning blessing and the trips to the sacred temples. The food was enjoyable. We appreciated the chef preparing dishes that were not on the menu. The chicke. Wings were particularly good and should be even added to the menu. The spa was exceptional and the therapies were delivered to a high professional level. It’s a photogenic hotel, be sure to grab as many photos as you can. The only nitpicks we could make about this exceptional hotel would be the noise disturbance brought about by a large group with young kids who were running around the restaurants and getting in everyone’s ways as well as playing around with the shrines in the courtyard. The pool was also under maintenance during our stay.

- Jerome (10/5): The perfect stay in Kathmandu - What an amazing experience from the time I first stepped into the property. An architectural gem. Excellent service. Great facilities. I could have easily spent the whole time without leaving the property.
- Mariagrazia (10/5): Un luogo da sogno - Un luogo incantato, tutto assolutamente perfetto. Atmosfera, stanze, pulizia, personale, ristoranti, bar, spa.

- Sharon (10/5): Learning the History of the Hotel Made Me Appreciate It More - The hotel is beautiful and I especially loved learning about it's history and the care that went into it's construction. There wasn't anything to not like.

- Laura (10/5): - The Dwarika is an oasis. The spa and gym facilities are out of this world. It is a living cultural museum with wood carvings and art and traditional but fancy local cuisine.
It was exactly what I needed after the Everest Marathon, a place to detox and recover. Even the air is better and sweeter in the hotel. It isn’t near Thamel but that is why it is peaceful. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. It isn’t the luxury, it is the support of Nepali and Newari traditions that put it over the top.
PS The basil lemonade is addictive
PPS The lady who manages the treatment center is a fourth generation healer and she has an incredible nasya recipe for your sinuses and lungs
PPS Try a game of Tigers and Goats
- Xuyuan (10/5): A live musuem of Kathmandu - unique architecture, welcoming and professional staff, excellent food options Nothing
- Amanda (10/5): Magical peaceful oasis in the city - I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and resorts around the world and believe it or not, Dwarika’s is my favorite, one of the best! I love the combination of authentic Himalayan style and decor, lush plant life, and modern touches. I feel like royalty staying at this peaceful oasis in the city. It is truly a magical sanctuary, you don’t feel like you are in the middle of the city. The food is outstanding, truly excellent, and the service is top-notch. I love that the rooms come stocked with fruit, snacks, and gourmet tea. Staying here is a must have experience! Everything was perfect
- Johannes (10/5): - This place is an oasis at the center of buzzing Kathmandu. Close proximity to the airport is a bonus. You can of course stay at the western chains but if you wish to immerse yourself in Nepalese culture while having the perks of a 4/5 star hotel, this is the place to be. Don’t forget to dine at the excellent Nepalese restaurant.
- MARCELO (10/5): Amazing! - Amazing hotel restaurant pool na
- Guillaume (9/5): Superb -
- Alessandro (10/5): Amazing hotel in Katmandu - Premium hotel that maintains Nepalese historical architecture. Excellent food in the 3 restaurants. The staff was very kind. The spa is fantastic. The place is very quiet and the suite where we stayed was beautiful and comfortable. There wasn't much to dislike. We couldn't figure out how the curtains/ blackout worked.
- Daria (9/5): Peaceful and stylish stay in the middle of a hectic city - I really liked the general calm atmosphere in the middle of a hectic city. Toiletries were very nice as well, massage was excellent. Shampoo bottles need to be fixed because now they need to be opened fully to use the shampoo (little thing).
- Dalvinder (10/5): Great hotel - Amazing beautiful hotel great staff and good food in the 3 restaurants The gift shop was closed but no issues
- Ionut (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alireza (10/5): - The best hotel in Nepal, excellent services, breakfast, staff. One of the reasons we love to go back to Nepal. The hotel has a character which makes it very very especial.
- Duncan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amirah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ram (10/5): A truly unforgettable and soulful experience—luxurious, serene, and filled with heartfelt hospitalit - We celebrated our 15-year anniversary at The Dwarika's Hotel in Nepal, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The hospitality and service exceeded our expectations in every way.
A special thank you to Adyut Neupane in the restaurant, whose service was above and beyond—attentive, thoughtful, and always had a touch of welcome and warm. We also want to recognize Ram Gajurel, one of the managers, who personally ensured we were well looked after.
The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
One of the highlights was the daily yoga sessions offered at the hotel. Practicing yoga in such a serene and sacred setting felt like reconnecting to our roots—truly grounding and revitalizing.
We are deeply grateful for the experience and would definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a luxurious, soulful, and culturally rich stay in Kathmandu.
The hotel made our 15-year anniversary truly unforgettable with exceptional service, attention to detail, and a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere. Honestly, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like. If anything, we just wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of what the hotel had to offer.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful room great food fantastic service
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gill (10/5): Relaxing heritage hotel with lovely gardens, great staff and delicious food. - Wonderful room, relaxing and great nights’ sleep after high altitude hiking. Staff delightful, we were very well looked after and felt at home. Glorious courtyards gardens are an oasis in a busy city, flowering trees, pots of seasonal blooms, scented climbers, birds. Arranged a guide to take us to Patan - excellent. Also arranged hotel transport from and to the airport. We’re not used to smoking these days whilst dining - but staff were very helpful getting us outside tables away from a group of smokers. No smoking is allowed dining inside. The courtyard dining is a lovely area!
- Alena (10/5): Oasis in the middle of the city - Everything was terrific: the design (preserving beautiful cultural heritage), extremely helpful and nice people, great food, pool area, spacious rooms, the whole atmosphere: calm and peaceful! Definitely recommend!!!
- Alison (10/5): The only place to stay … recommend without hesitation - The staff is friendly and helpful. My luggage was delayed in Dubai and the staff followed up to ensure it was transferred on the next flight and delivered to the hotel prior to my departure the following day. It was my 5th stay at the hotel and the only place I stay when in Kathmandu.
- Alison (10/5): I would recommend Dwairka’s without hesitation. It is the only place that I would even consider staying in Kathmandu. -
- RAYSA (10/5): - The property was beautiful and very comfortable
- Denise (10/5): - One of the most beautiful hotels in the world. Amazing service.
- Mariia (6/5): Not suitable for sensitive people - Authentic design. Nice food (excluding Japanese). Good stuff. Highly recommended female spa master. Soundproofing. To be honest, there is no soundproofing in the hotel rooms at all. Wooden windows don’t block any noise from the street. We changed 3 rooms treated to find quiet but everywhere experienced discomfort with sounds that came from outside.
- Gill (9/5): An excellent introduction to Nepal’s warm welcome, rich culture and cuisine - A very warm welcome to an oasis of calm and peace in the bustling city. Walking distance to the centre to Durban Square (though taxis available), and very near the sacred site by the river. Staff always helpful - room absolutely wonderful! Gardens glorious and we enjoyed sitting outside for drinks and meals.
- Stacey (10/5): Service and property incredible - The breaksfast was outstanding and short of nothing. The location was a bit further out from the centre but given the bustling, loud city, this wasn't a negative. Nothing
- Guido (10/5): Fabulous hotel, we will be back. -
- Rina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annmary (10/5): Really loved the tranquility and beauty of this hotel - Beautifully decorated with a nice history of the property. The staff the restaurants, the decor

- Bruce (10/5): A classic five star gem in Kathmandu. - Hotel property was a gem----Classic old style, elegant, luxurious, beautiful, charming, and immaculately kept. A spacious and tranquil sanctuary in the Kathmandu city center. Entire hotel staff were attentive to our every need---made us feel like VIPs or honored guests throughout our 4 day stay. Our room was very large and comfortable. Multiple fine restaurants on property offered a wide variety of menu choices. Buffet breakfast was lavish in both variety and quality. Swimming pool was clean and beautiful, although we did not use it due to cool weather in February. Central Location was close to the Kathmandu airport and other attractions. Spa was most pleasant with courteous and helpful staff. Without being asked, the hotel staff presented a lovely surprise celebration and beautiful cake (baked by hotel kitchen) for my wife's birthday at our last dinner there. All in all, a wonderful experience for our time in Kathmandu. Highly recommend this hotel for any visit to Nepal. Nothing comes to mind. Everything was perfect.
