Guest Reviews
- Matthew (4/5): - I felt that It was a dirty on the outisde and the paint chips on the outside took away the pleasant view of it
- Robert (8/5): - No breakfast. They have it in summer.
- beverly (8/5): - The price was great
- Rosita (8/5): - We arrived in November during a cold snap. The rates were reasonable and though it is an older property and doesn't look to have been renovated in awhile the room we had smelled clean and maintained. They have nice amenities such as soap, shampoo, mini fridge and microwave. Staff were friendly.
- Brendan (10/5): - Great stay, there for a week they refilled cups towls and change sheets reasonably priced rooms
- Loretta (8/5): Helpful and thoughtful service - The proprietor was very helpful and made sure my mom and I had everything we needed. She brought my mom and extra blanket, helped us set up the WiFi, situate the temperature in the room among other things.
- JANE (6/5): - Owners were very very nice to us after my mistake with my booking. That said the Motel was quite run down.
- Daniel (8/5): - Nothing fancy, but it's clean and comfortable. Breakfast was better than expected -- fresh bagels, fruit, along with cereal and packaged stuff.
- Lesley (4/5): - The place was noisy and in poor condition.
- Maxine (10/5): - The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was clean and the staff were friendly, but there was no heat in the room. The temperature dropped to below 40 degrees overnight, which made the room quite cold.
- Joseph F (4/5): - Reserved for two nights - stayed only one! SO many repairs needed. Obvious MINOR repairs neglected. For example the bathtub needed SIMPLE caulking (10 Mins) and door frames needed scrubbing from dirt by hands. Patches on ceiling over the bed from previous leaks. I asked for a refund for the day not used but was rejected because I made reservations online. Not fair!!!
- Nicole (6/5): - Good for an overnight quick stay. No fluff or wow- just shower and go to sleep.
- Jenna (8/5): - It was the most budget friendly option near lanesboro and it is right off the main road. Easy to locate, clean, quick service and breakfast was individually wrapped. Very pleased with the stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Old but clean. No hair dryer.
- Sue (6/5): - The couple working at the motel were friendly and helpful. The room was clean but it and the rest of the property was in generally bad condition and needed painting and other updating. There wasn't much around the property, but it was a quick ride to MASS MoCA.
- ALAN (8/5): - Lovely couple as proprioters. They were very attentive and tried their best at everything.. Rates, for the Berkshire area were good. They could spiffy up a few areas like the office and breakfeast areas. Maybe some paint and Berkshire photos.
- Gabriela (2/5): - They were bugs in the room. After noticing coachroaches we decided to leave afer 10 pm with no other alternatives for the night.
- Mike (2/5): - This is more like a 1 star property. The place is run down and not acceptable. The rooms smelled musty and of mold. The walls had painting tape on them and the rugs were gross. Looked like mold in the corners of the rooms. Bed sheets had cigarette burns. Its bad. Just very disappointing. Our trip partners actually did not stay and chose to pay more money to stay at another hotel. I gave the key back to the owners and they never offered a refund for the one room we paid for (we booked two and stayed in one). This is a big warning to anyone booking this place. Look elsewhere and pay more!
- Samuel (10/5): - Had a great stay here. A basic motel with everything you need and friendly staff.
- Irene (8/5): - We were in the area for a Friday night show at Mass MOCA, and stayed here. As expected, prices are a bit high on weekend nights - I never expect much for under 200. This place met my expectations. The owners were incredibly kind, I had a great check in/check out experience. (There was even a small breakfast buffet (pasties, cereal, coffee) at checkout!) The room, while old, was clean & comfy. And while there’s traffic noise outside during the day, it was fairly quiet at night. I wouldn’t stay here if I planned to spend a lot of time in my room, but it’s a perfect place to crash if you want something on the cheaper side in the area.
- Heather (8/5): - The carpets were not very clean and there were some minor other things. No pests. I have a pretty hardcore allergy to dust though so I had a lot of trouble at night (we left during the day)
- Ritty (4/5): - The couple that runs the hotel are super nice, there smiles do not even hint to the iciness of the room we stayed, so I think maybe they don’t know. The room was pretty squalid. Needs much updating. It was not unclean, just in bad repair. Bathroom tub with dirty corners and frame missing. Walls need paint and brown coloring way past it’s prime. We did not feel unsafe and the shower was strong. I liked the owners but they should know this and good wishes to them in spending some TLC.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - My room was falling apart and so run down as was the whole building. I hears
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bathroom need more update. I could here upstairs foot steps. The building is close to road and a little bit noisy. The bed was comfy and the room was clean.
- Anne (8/5): - Nice motel, clean easy to find. Owners were extremely friendly and eager to make sure we were comfortable. Generous free breakfast, cereal, bagels, muffins and coffee. Definitely would stay again!
- Sharon (8/5): - Small, 50’s style family owned property - immaculate, owners very friendly & accommodating - efforts in amenities, each room has fridge, micro, coffee maker, large flat screen TV, WiFi. Reasonable prices & great location for skiers in winter, visitors to Williams College & leaf peepers in the fall traveling up Rt. 7. For us it’s our overnight stay going up & coming home from visiting friends in upstate VT.
- Sharon (8/5): - Small, quaint “Mom & Pop” motel - owner very friendly & accommodating- even though by definition, outdated, owner has made every effort at modern convenience by adding fridge, coffee maker & micro in each room. Very important, very clean, lots of hot water & beds comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very comfortable beds. Microwave oven and refrigerator. Clean. Facility is old.
- Merlinda (10/5): - Loved the extra featherbed duvet for added warmth and the shower pressure was the best I've experienced in a long time at a motel! They also use Eco plant based soaps and healthy hair products in travel sizes. Those added touches are important to me. Lovely owners as well...warmly greeted for my stay.
- Kristin (10/5): - Very nice room in the mountains. Great continental breakfast and the owners are amazing people. We would most definately stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was very nice. Room was clean and quiet (2nd floor and I kept the AC running). Very limited number of TV channels and the pool was closed for the Season (09/01).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Exellent service, pretty clean, nice and quiet, free wifi with strong signal is surprising. I had everything I needed for the night stay. Overall very very good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pretty good value in this area if you’re not looking for anything high end. Clean, decent room, HD TV, fridge and microwave. Very friendly check-in staff. Would definitely book again.
- scott (8/5): - Love to stay here
- Susan (6/5): - Room was clean but in much need of updating. Bathroom grout and sealant around tub was brown and in Poor repair.
Receptionist was king and efficient.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Coffee maker in room was a nice surprise for a motel. Older facilities but clean and in good working order. Friendly front desk & zero hassle at check-in/check-out. We hope to stay again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst experience ever - We asked for an air conditioned room as it was 90 degrees and humid. The room was warm and sticky. We also needed non smoking and the room stunk of stale smoke. The pool was not opened in July for the season. We were unable to stay there and I don’t recommend it at all
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The family that runs it was super nice. It was a bit run down which I expected for the price I paid. I picked this motel for the pool but we found out they didn't open it this summer so we weren't able to swim. That was a big problem with kids.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was under construction. The wall AC unit sounded like a truck. The pool was closed even though it was 95 degrees.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Two Stars Too High A Rating - Clean, has all requirements, inexpensive and helpful hosts. Good state of repair of room basics. Old building needs better upkeep Clearly replaced needed items, but unattractive.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was very clean. The owners were very nice and helpful.
- Michael (8/5): Close to Williams College - Nice, friendly staff. The place was a bit run down, but good location, nice enough room for overnight stay for work.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The owners are a lovely family. This is a very old facility.
- Felicia (8/5): - Older motel, very clean, really nice staff. Beds comfy, and linens super clean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the view.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very old hotel on VT border. Decent breakfast, good service, nice staff.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This motel requires major renovation. It‘s vry old and obslete.
- Jack (8/5): Nice place - This place is nice and quaint. The family who operates the facility were very nice and the breakfast was better that some of the fancier places I stayed on this trip.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent low price motel - The motel is about 70 years old, not fancy, but clean. The breakfast was continental plus a little. the wifi needed no password and worked fine.
- Helen (4/5): - Hotel is old and definitely needs upgrading in many areas. Staff very pleasant, rooms clean, plenty of hot water. No grab bars in bathrooms which made it difficult to take showers.
