- Kristin (10/5): - The staff was by far the best of anywhere we have stayed traveling Turkey for a month! So wonderful with our two year old daughter. The place we stayed had a departed bedroom and living room - tons of space for our luggage and we could leave our daughter sleeping while we watched the sunrise. UNREAL views of the balloons - they literally flew over head close enough to say Hi! Highly highly recommend staying here! Easy walk everywhere and beautiful lounging areas to enjoy the balloons and views of the city.

The hotel had excellent views, great to see the hot air balloons at sunrise. The breakfast buffet was simple but sufficient for us. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We hired a car and there was on-street parking. For the price the hotel was 10/10.

Lots of steps up to the rooms so be aware. Nice patio area with table and chairs. Room is quite dark but stays cool. No full length mirror just a small one above sink. Had to open the front door to get some light in bathroom area for makeup application. Overall I would recommend this hotel, good location too. One downside is that they do not like card payments.

The bathroom sliding glass door came off hinges, we couldn't get into the bathroom. Took them over an hour to come and fix it. No apologies given The breakfast is very poor in my opinion. Nescafe coffee, poor quality breakfast. No Turkish tea options. When you ask for eggs the hotel policy is only 1 egg per person. Overall the breakfast was very disappointing. When we arrived it was 2am. There were no lights, no one to great us at the entrance. Ended up using our phone torch to make our way upto the reception which is up 4 flights of stairs. A word of note. No irons are allowed in the rooms.

The hotel is in a prime central location, but tucked away from all the noise. The staff was welcoming and helpful in arranging airport transfer service and a hot air balloon tour. We most enjoyed the gorgeous pool and sunrise / sunset views from the rooftop. The rooms were spacious and very clean.

The rooms are very large and spacious. Made you feel like you were in a royal Turkish suite. The breakfast buffet and restaurant terrace was lovely. The owner called your room upon request when the hot air balloons were flying over which was spectacular. Only a short walking distance to good restaurants for dinner. Quiet area which is nice after a long day. What more do you need? Trust me when I say stay here :) enjoy !

A beautiful swimming pool complemented the rooftop patio. The swimming pool was very pleasant to use during the hot afternoon hours. If you do not like steps, this hotel may not be a suitable accommodation for you.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel! - Arrived by my self and was welcomed by the owner Yavuz and his staff, they were very welcoming from the beginning and gave me good information as to what I should see and do while in Cappadocia, they made the stay all that much better for sure and I would recommend it to anyone! Location is also perfect, quick walk away from one way cafe, I ate there four days in a row and had a good experience every time, the live music was very good and there is a lot of Turkish people in the place so you get a very local vibe.

Shower area does not have a door so my friend and I had to take turns to use the entire bathroom as opposed to normally one of us showering and the other brushing teeth at the same time. - Mariam (10/5): sophisticated and chic - Out of the many cave hotels in this area, spend the extra bit and do yourself a favor by staying here. Large spaces almost like a suite. Tub is a jacuzzi in room, the staff are amazing. Like family but not intrusive. Balloons can be seen perfectly from 6am on with a beautiful terrace. It’s a great place to come to after a day of touring. The pool sight itself is beautiful. And the dogs that are the pets there are just my most fav things to come back to.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - We stayed at Doors of Cappadocia for 3 nights in April 2019. The hotel is clean and comfortable, although general maintenance is a bit lacking. For example, there were exposed electrical wires in our room and the outdoor spaces were a bit unkempt. The location is excellent with beautiful views and within convenient walking distance to many shops and restaurants. yet far enough from the main street to avoid general traffic noise. Unfortunately there were two major disappointments during our stay. First, breakfast. We are far from picky eaters, but struggled to find anything edible aside from toasted bread and tea. The hot items were cold and the cold items were warm and nothing appeared to be fresh or not recycled from previous days. Second, the tours offered by the hotel. Upon arrival, a friendly reception staff recommended to us a private tour option instead of a group tour. In reality, the private tour was not a tour at all, but rather a taxi from attraction to attraction. While our driver was friendly, he only admitted at the end of the 2nd day of driving us around that he was in fact not a tour guide. When we approached management, the response was aggressive and at times offensive, although he ultimately agreed to provide a 10% discount for misleading us. This experience, in addition to another where a different manager loudly berated a housekeeping staff in front of guests, leads me to believe this is not a hotel that values or treats its staff and guests well.

- Melvin (6/5): Disappointing - We booked for a junior suite which had a window - specifically because I didn’t want to stay in a windowless cave room which was the common thing in Cappadocia. When we checked in we were told that the rooms were fully booked and they can only give me an upgrade to the king suite (for free), which was a cave tucked away in a corner of a dark corridor with a small window that has zero view whatsoever. I was then blamed for booking the room last minute - before I protested and told the staff that I booked a few weeks ago and they checked that to be true. I was annoyed to say the least. The hotel itself was ok. Breakfast was ok but hot food choices was a bit limited - not sure if that’s the norm in Cappadocia. The room itself had air-con heating so that was good. But being a cave - the ceiling was always flaking off some dust, especially in the toilet and shower area and so our toiletries were always covered in dust after a day out. The hotel is not in the centre of town but is walkable to it. Being that Goreme is very small, location is not a problem at all.

- Carl (10/5): - Nice cave hotel with real cave rooms and stone rooms built over the cave. Walking distance to Goreme restaurants and store. All staff always willing to help getting everything. Hotel owner took the time to drive round trip 6 Km to recover some documents left in a restaurant. we definitively recommend this hotel.

Decent location to the Main Street. Short walk into main area of town. Breakfast was decent, could be better from an international standard for a four star hotel. Amazing view to watch ballloons rise at sunrise. Priceless pics Receptionist provided excellent customer service. If you coming to Goreme - recommend Doors of Cappadocia. Ask them to assist with arrangement of a shuttle between hotel and airport

The hotel has an amazing location with great views and the staff was incredible. The breakfast was out of this world and I would definitely stay here again if I ever visit cappadocia again! I would rate this as 11 out of 10!!

- Arsineh (10/5): - My stay at Doors was excellent. I enjoyed the property and the many varied relaxation spaces available to guests. The property is up high which allows for great views, lots of sun and fresh air. It is a few minutes (not even) walk to the centre of town where you can find shops and restaurants. Breakfast was adequate, not the biggest spread I have seen but all the basics were there. I would only caution anyone with physical limitations that it is a little uphill to get to the hotel, but so are many sights in Goreme and surrounds.
- Audrey A (10/5): Lovely Doors - Incredible Door of Cappadocia! Each morning at sunrise the hot air balloons rise above the hotel in a breathtaking display. My room was huge with a sitting area upstairs and a massive private terrace. Breakfasts were delicious with hot orders on request coming from the chef. Towels and linens were fresh and clean. Beautiful courtyard garden and quiet street in minutes walking distance of the bustle of Goreme center. I will definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was nice and the staff will bring you tea coffee and freshly made omelettes. Enjoyable stay
- Carol (10/5): Great hotel in good location - Hotel is very central in goreme with just a short walk to the restaurants, shops, bus station etc. The manager and his staff were all helpful and friendly and breakfast was excellent. Rooms were large and comfortable with nice bathrooms. Couldn't fault the hotel at all and would definitely recommend to friends. Lots of steps as the hotel is built from existing cave formations so unsuitable for elderly or disabled people. However, the cappadocia area as a whole would not suit anyone with mobility problems so this is not a reflection on this hotel.
