C’est un peu loin du centre de Rio (il faut compter une dizaine d’euros - 70 reals) pour un trajet en uber jusqu’au centre. Mais si vous souhaitez du calme pas loin de la ville, c’est idéal. • ELIF (10/5): Everything was absolutely perfect, and we’re already looking forward to coming back! - We initially planned to stay in Rio for just 3 days, but this place was so amazing that we felt right at home and had to extend our stay! Mauricio and Stuart are truly wonderful hosts. This isn’t just a hotel, it feels like visiting your best friends’ home in Rio. Every morning, the breakfast they prepared was incredible (we still miss those homemade cakes!). The house is nestled in the heart of nature, yet just a 15-minute drive from the city. If you want a peaceful, stylish, and warm Rio experience, this is the perfect spot! Their tips about the city made our explorations even more enjoyable. They also offered early check-in and late check-out according to our flights, which was such a convenience. We can’t wait to visit Mauricio and Stuart and their amazing home again. It’s located in a stunning area with breathtaking views of both the mountains and the ocean. We used Uber every day to get to the beaches. Usually, it was quite affordable, but occasionally—depending on demand—the prices could be twice as high. Overall, I highly recommend renting this house when visiting Rio. It’s spacious, very nice, and the hosts are incredibly welcoming. My husband and I truly enjoyed staying there and chatting with Mauricio and Stuart.

• Hannah (9/5): Nice relaxing stay close with spacious rooms - We really liked our stay here. The room and bathroom are spacious and very comfortable. The view is beautiful and the breakfast is good. The location is very relaxed and a bit away from the big attractions, so you can come to rest. Advice for visitors: The view from Pedra Bonita (which is close to the hotel) is really magnificent. No complains at all, only remarks for future guests: - One of the reasons we choose this hotel is, because of the parking space for the car. You have to make sure to write the hotel after booking and ask for a reserved space, because there are only one or two spaces available. And beware, it is a very narrow and steep parking space, so not the easiest to park at all. - the owners have a couple of dogs that walk around the house. We really liked that, they were kind! Just keep it in mind in case you are allergic or don’t like it. - at breakfast it feels as if you are a guest in someone’s house, rather than in a hotel. We liked that feeling and the conversations, but you might have to get used to it.

The house is very nice and in a beautiful area. Easy to get in and out with a car, but also possible to grab a car service to get to from/to the airport, the beach or different parts of town; also to the closest trails up the road, including the Tijuca National Park. Our room was impressive, with a very comfortable bed, a good shower and a hammock to relax outdoors. Breakfast was perfect, apart from fruit/granola, eggs and cold meats, Mauricio bakes really nice cakes.

Stuart and Mauricio did not skimp on anything, from the cleanliness of the property, to the delicious breakfasts, to the thoughtful itinerary guides. We also enjoyed spending time with their three lovely dogs. Above all, we were captivated by the natural beauty surrounding this house. It takes some time to get to the main tourist spots. Considering traffic and parking conditions, we recommend using Uber service.

We enjoyed our spacious room, the comfy bed, the delicious breakfast, the view, the terrace, pool and the steam sauna. The hosts were very helpful, letting us check in earlier and also giving us the best tips what to do and what to see. It's quite rear to find hosts in Brazil that speak English perfectly and the more we valued the experience of locals talking about Rio . Thank you so much for having us! Would definitely recommend it to anyone! The place is located a bit far from the city center, but it has a beautiful beach and all you need nearby, so it might be a good idea to stay in the area for some of the time at least.

It felt like home! We got loads of tips for what to do - unfortunately the weather wasn't that good so hiking in Tijuca Forest was out of question. • Vincent (9/5): Superb - Mauricio and Stuart were great hosts! We loved our long conversations at breakfast and in the evening. The four dogs were a fantastic company too. Especially Frieda and Rocco. We loved the property and the environment (humming birds in front of you) and the scenery from the balcony. Easy to reach by taxi or Uber. The price was a bit high but it was consistent for this period of the year (Carnival) so no regrets.

Everything was great. that being said, I have 2 minor recommendations: 1) maybe consider installing curtains that block natural light from entering the rooms. 2) the pool area may need more shade: a few beach umbrellas would do the trick.

Amazing views across the forest to the beach, stylish rooms, perfect location and super tasty breakfasts all made for a great stay. But it was the hosts - Stuart and Mauricio - that made this a holiday to remember. Friendly, relaxed and fun, they helped to organise tours and direct me to many of the hidden gems of Rio. • Alan (9/5): Making your holiday to remember - Welcoming accommodating nothing was to much bother. Even when we got lost and called later in the evening to ask for . Call was answered straight away. Great holiday great company so lovely to meet such lovely interesting people.. There was NOTHING about the place that We did NOT like. we meet lovely locals along with the hosts who made make the trip so memorable. Would we maybe have liked to stay in Copacobana., Yes but we would have missed out on so much more. Do we hope to stay with hosts again definite YES. I
• Susanne (10/5): - Stuart and Mauricio are fantastic hosts! The place is gorgeous and very pleasant. Great breakfast. Since it’s located a bit outside of Ipanema/Copacabana you’re dependent on Uber/Taxi, but they are quite cheap. Would definitely stay there again!

• EKATERINA (8/5): RJ Guest House- Casa Verde Rio. Super recomendo!!! - Viajei ao Rio a trabalho (3 dias de curso) e a estadia foi surpreendente!!! O hotel fica em um lindo local (o acesso não é muito fácil, mas vale a pena). A casa é grande e bem decorada, envolta em verde e natureza. Igualmente linda é a vista com o mar e as ilhas, ao longe. Os quartos são amplos e bem despojados. A cama super confortável e os lençóis e travesseiros impecáveis. Os proprietários da "Guest House = Casa Verde Rio" são ótimos e receptivos! O café da manhã é servido com vista para o mar em estilo caseiro super à vontade. Senti-me segura e bem acolhida, com se estivesse em casa, ou na casa de meus amigos. Para completar há a companhia extra de dois lindos dogs simpáticos, que recebem a gente com a maior festa. Hospedagem gostosa e cheia de carinho. Uma ótima experiência. Recomendo com certeza!!!
• Cornelis Arie (8/5): De gastheren zijn ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. - We hebben een mooie tijd gehad, ieder morgen een vers en uitgebreid ontbijt dat iedere dag dezelfde ingrediënten heeft. Alleen jammer dat het hotel toch wel te ver van het centrum ligt. Echter er stopt wel een bus voor het hotel. In de spits kost het ongeveer twee uur voor je op de copacobane bent. De bussen rijden onregelmatig, soms een half uur tot een uur wachten. Maar goed, "je bent immers op vakantie en je hebt tijd genoeg".
• Ralf (6/5): Sehr nette Besitzer - Sehr nette englisch sprechende Besitzer! Zimmerreinigung ist eher oberflächlich! Das Casa Verde ist schön gelegen , jedoch entfernt von Rio de Janeiro's Sehenswürdigkeiten , so dass die Anreisen von hier etwas länger dauern ! Anreise vom Airport kann schon je nach Verkehrssituation 90 Minuten mit dem Taxi dauern !
• FRANCOIS (10/5): Au calme dans la ville pas loin du bord de mer. - Casa Verde doit se mériter : téléphone, adresse mail, positionnement Google Maps, sont incorrectes. Pas de pancarte dans la rue. Mais, une fois qu'on a trouvé, tout est parfait :accueil chaleureux, grande chambre luxueuse, grand salon, grandes terrasses, piscine avec mur d'eau, débauche de poutres en bois brésilien, belle vue sur la colline... Comme nous arrivions tard nos hotes nous ont commandé une pizza, trouvé une bonne bouteille de vin, et à notre départ il nous ont commandé un taxi à bas prix pour l'aéroport.
• pamela (10/5): delightful - I had a truly wonderful stay here in the 'forest canopy' of Rio - a small, quaint hotel where the owners went out of their way to be helpful and kind - a rarity these days! It was good value for money, 30min walk down (or bus) to beaches, little local eateries nearby, good WI-FI.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Muito bom - A pousada é muito boa. Sugiro implantar um sistema que de mais privacidade para os quartos. Mais não tenho que reclamar.
• MICHEL (10/5): MUITO SATISFEITO - Uma ótima pousada, quarto muito limpo e confortável, vista linda. O melhor da pousada é o acolhimento, a simpatia e a educação dos donos, além de serem muito prestativos. Enfim, em se tratando de estadia em São Conrado recomendo totalmente o Casa Verde.
• Emerson Rodrigues (8/5): Banho quente e cama muito confortável. - A Casa Verde-Rio é linda! Na verdade, é uma residência adaptada p/ hóspedes. O hotel tem uma vista privilegiada da praia de São Conrado e o ambiente é extremamente agradável. Bom café da manhã. Único senão é em relação à TV do quarto por ser pequena (22", se não me engano), à qual tá mais p/ monitor de PC. No mais, o local é ótimo, lembrando não se tratar de um hotel especificamente, mas, sim, uma casa adaptada p/ hospedagem. Lugar tranquilo e perto da praia.

• Natalia Pereira da Costa (10/5): Hotel excelente - Minha estada foi ótima, o hotel é muito agradável, o quarto super confortável. O atendimento excelente. O dono Stuart é muito simpatico e atencioso. Me senti em casa.
• Verified traveler (8/5): ambiente acolhedor - Local aprazivel, porém para minha condição não turística sua localização foi desfavorável. Apesar do site da hoteis.com falar de uma distância pequena até o local de minha convenção, a distância era bem maior. Mas os donos são simpáticos e acolhedores!
• Zito (8/5): Acima do razoável - Só faltou mesmo um frigobar no quarto.
• Luiz Henrique (10/5): Muito agradável e confortável, vale a pena! - Acomodações muito boas, bonitas e limpas. Realmente vale a pena e retornarei quando voltar ao Rio.
• Gabriela (10/5): Valeu a pena arriscar. - Me senti em casa. O proprietário foi muito atencioso e educado. Ah! os cachorrinhos são super educados!
