• Vanessa (10/5): Lovely elegant hotel in natural park serenity. - If you want to visit Kenting and Sheding National Parks and return to relaxation and comfort then Gloria Manor is the hotel to book. Friendly professional staff who speak some English were very helpful with our requests. We stayed 3 nights in the Ocean view room. Recommended for the beautiful views plus a balcony! We enjoyed the huge pool, and the restaurant breakfasts and dinners. We used the free hotel shuttle several times to visit the nearby Parks and Kenting town. There is also a spa, exercise room, kids play area and plenty of parking. We didn’t have a car so we booked the hotel shuttle from Zuoying HSR station (only Fri-Mon). Returning to Taipei on a Weds we used the Kenting shuttle bus back to Zuoying station for the HSR train. This lovely hotel in a very quiet and beautiful natural park setting was a brief escape from city life. We would stay here again!

• SAKI (10/5): 洗練されたビーチリゾートでまた訪れたいと思う - 南国の雰囲気を存分に味わえるロケーション。 墾丁夜市などの騒々しいエリアから離れているのでゆったり過ごせる。 朝食はメニューをセレクトするシステムなので落ち着いて食べられる。暖かいパンを提供してくれる。 左営駅とホテル間で提供しているホテルの有料バスも快適。 ホテルの周辺ロケーションまで無料で送迎してくれる。墾丁夜市や小湾などへスムーズに移動できた。 出会ったすべてのスタッフは連携が取れていてホスピタリティが素晴らしい。 事前の問い合わせにも真摯に対応してくれた。 プールに入ってはいないが、とても広く清潔そうだった。 給水機を利用するための持ち帰り可能なボトルや素敵なデザインのサンダルが提供されて嬉しくなった。 特にない。山奥なのでビーチから歩くのは困難だと思う。(提供時間内であれば無料で送迎してくれるので問題はなかった。)

Abends konnten wir noch auf dem Balkon sitzen. Der Pool ist riesig und wir hatten auch Wetter zum Schwimmen. Konnten am Pool leckeres Mittag essen zu einem fairen Preis. Für unseren Zwischenstopp unserer Rundreise mit relaxen war das Hotel prima!
• MNMd (10/5): Beautiful serene hotel - Gloria Manor is a beautiful boutique hotel in Kenting National Park. We stayed in an ocean view room and it was so rejuvenating to sit on the balcony early in the morning and soak in the surrounding forest with a great view of the ocean and a mountain. Plus, a troop of monkeys walked across the pool area one morning which was very fun to watch. All the employees are super friendly and helpful. Probably one of the best hotel experiences I've had.

• Elisa (9/5): Great stay in Kenting - Beautiful hotel with amazing views from the garden and outdoor pool. Comfy room and helpful staff. We had our car so did not use the shuttle service, but found the location perfect for exploring the Kenting area. Food-wise, dinner was surprisingly good, and breakfast consisted of 6 set menus we could choose from - just wish we could have stayed longer to try them all! Hot drinks options at breakfast were a bit limited. The fitness room only had 2 treadmills, one elliptical machine and no weights so imo this hardly qualifies as a proper gym

• stevenrD1644RH (10/5): Just book this already - This is a beautiful hotel with nice facilities and excellent service. We felt the most welcome here out of each hotel we stayed in Taiwan. Clean comfortable nice rooms. The hotel shuttle is always available to take you to and from town/beach/national park area. The breakfast was very good and a nice touch - its not some afterthought -breakfast its actually good. Restaurant in the hotel (we had dinner there) is very good as well - a stark contrast to the overpriced tourist slop in town.

• siyuen (10/5): Excellent hotel with some room for improvement - An all around great choice for picturesque Kenting. Location: it is located within the Kenting National Park. So it’s far away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby town. What you give up on access to public transportation is well offset by tranquility and beautiful views. The hotel also compensates for its relatively remote location with an on demand shuttle. So all was good for our stay. Facility: The building being one of the late Chiang Kai Shek’s vacation home, was set in one of the most scenic areas of the park. Our room has a full view of the ocean and the mountains. It’s breathtakingly beautiful on a clear day. The decor is understated and elegant, projecting a sense of calm and sophistication that many modern high end hotels lack. The room could be bigger by American standard, but is well appointed and overall functional., with some room of improvements (see last paragraph of review. ) Staff: overall very friendly and attentive. The concierge desk in particular deserves a big shout out for the staff’s patience and attention to details in helping us plan out a two day agenda. Just that service alone well justifies the cost of our stay. Food: with a full service dining facility onsite preparing all kinds of local cuisine and some (small selection) of western fares, the food options were more than adequate for our stay. It’s not gourmet level, but excellent still A few things to improve：1) more English speaking staff. Most staff here don’t speak enough English to communicate with my American husband. It is a difficult place for any non-Chinese speaking guests to navigate. 2) Improve room layout: I know it’s hard to change the room size but maybe they can redesign the funiture and room layout to give more moving space. The big bath tub, for example, could be eliminated at least for some rooms for those visitors who don’t need the bath and prefer more space. Also consider eliminating the artificial steps between the bathroom, bed area, and the sitting area. These steps may look interesting architecturally but create hazards in a small space, especially in the dark. I almost tripped in the middle of the night trying to get to the bathroom. 3) improve website with more hotel information. The hotel has many interesting activities and tour options but such info was not on the website. If such info were available, we would have been able to do more planning in advance. In addition, it was almost impossible to contact the hotel via their website. The “contact us” form online does not work. I had to resort to makihh no an international call from the US to get any meaningful info about the hotel. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel.

• Philip (10/5): - Das Hotel war außergewöhnlich gut, perfekter Service. Es liegt im Naturschutzgebiet, man kommt aber mit kostenfreien Shuttles wunderbar zum Nationalpark, Strand bzw. Kenting-Stadt. Auch die Anreise mit dem Hotel-Shuttlebus vom HSR Bahnhof war sehr gut organisiert (ggf nicht an allen Wochentagen angeboten). Das Essen im Restaurant war ungewöhnlich gut. Wir hätten uns vielleicht doch ein Zimmer mit Meerblick/Balkon gönnen sollen.

• Thomas (9/5): Great relaxing stay. - Really nice hotel with a great view. Very friendly and supportive staff. The shuttle service into the town was great. Breakfast was good, but more selection or partial buffet would be great. Unfortunately the bar was closing very early. Even on New Year’s Eve they had no longer opening hours to have a drink. Also the shuttle serves was not extended.

The property strikes a rare balance between refined comfort and the natural beauty of Kenting. • Ann-Barbara (9/5): Fantstische Lage und super Service - Die fantastische Lage dieses sehr edel sanierten ehemaligen Gästehaus von Chian Kai Chek. Sehr schön gestaltet Zimmer und schöner Pool der aber (im Dezember) nicht sehr beheizt ist = Training Temperatur! Der Blick auf die Bucht und den ikonischen Berg des Kenting National Park 🏞️ ist einmalig. Ein Zimmer mit Seaview ist daher unbedingt erforderlich 😉! Ohne Auto ist man dort sehr eingeschränkt obwohl man auch Shuttle Service buchen kann.

Toller Pool und sehr nah am Eingang von Kenting Nationalpark und Sheding Park. Es gibt ein kostenloses Shuttle zu den gängigen Sehenswürdigkeiten und anscheinend auch ein kostenpflichtiges Shuttle zur HSR-Station (haben wir selbst nicht genutzt).

• Susan (10/5): Beautiful grounds and rooms, great pool, lovely staff, delicious hearty breakfast, fabulous views. - Gloria Manor is such a beautiful property. From the second we opened the door to our room, 2301, we knew we had made a mistake by not booking more than our two night stay. We should have stayed at least four nights to fully appreciate the property, the Kenting National park and Kenting town. My husband loved the 25 metre pool. We both loved waking up to the rolling hillside below and the ocean in the distance. Breakfast was excellent with great choices for vegetarians and meat eaters. The beds were comfortable and the towels luxurious. Having hair conditioner has become a treat as it’s often not supplied any longer. The staff, in particular the always smiling and accommodating male at the front desk, were top notch. Kenting Forest park was worth the four hours we spent on the paths. What a beautiful place. Shedding park was not as well developed but also worth a few hours walk although the path bricks are a bit of a tripping hazard. Both Kenting park and Shedding are walkable from Gloria Manor, about 1 1/2 k, but you could also take the hotel shuttle. The path around the headland trail in town is also a gorgeous walk, not to be missed. In the late afternoon don’t miss the monkeys at the front gate of the hotel, they provide great entertainment. Leaving. We loved staying here. Definitely a favourite.

Gloria Manor's setting is spectacular; the expansive views alone offer a deep sense of tranquility and were a highlight of our stay. The standout feature, however, was the consistently high level of service. The staff were not only friendly but notably efficient and proactive. We were particularly grateful for their attention in arranging our commute to Kenting and back, which simplified our logistics entirely. The daily breakfast was a satisfying and delicate experience, perfectly prepared. Though we aren't frequent review writers, we felt compelled to commend Gloria Manor for its commitment to high standards.

• AmauryXH (10/5): An absolute gem in this historic landmark - We initially booked for one night and loved it so much we extended our stay at Gloria Manor ! The place is impeccable and the staff is really great and attentive. Most staff will speak English and do their best to accommodate your needs. We stayed in a garden view room (which really is overlooking some parts of the garden but also the parking lot) and in an ocean view room which was breath taking (totally worth the upgrade in price !). Both rooms were very similar in terms of design and comfort and everything was in great condition. Breakfast was included and you get to choose from a selection of set menus (no buffet). Very qualitative, filling and tasty with high quality products. On the lesser notes, sound insulation isn’t always great as we could hear (sometimes) neighbours rooms with kids running or furniture moving. This didn’t impact our stay but worth mentioning for guests who are sensitive to noise. The evening restaurant did disappoint us and we didn’t eat there for our second night. We had a wonderful stay at Gloria Manor - one of the best we had in Taiwan and definetely our best sleep !
• Macgamper (8/5): Etwas abgeschieden, aber toll für ein paar Tage Erholung - Wir hatten ein schönes, sauberes Zimmer im oberen Stock mit einer tollen Aussicht auf die umliegenden Hügel und das Meer. Das Personal war stats sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend, egal ob an der Reception, beim Frühstück oder wenn es um den Shuttle-Service ging. Bei Frühstück gab es die Auswahl aus verschiedenen asiatischen oder westlichen Sets. Für uns waren die meist viel zu umfangreich und wir haben dann nur noch einzelne Bestandteile des Sets bestellt, die wir auch essen konnten. Tagsüber ging es meist mit dem Shuttlebus an den Strand. Die (etwas kleinen) Starndtücher werden auf Anfrage zur Verfügung gestellt. Der Shuttlebus fährt zur «Little Bay Beach», andere Strände können mit Roller oder Taxi erreicht werden. Die tolle Aussicht (vom richtigen Zimmer aus) wird mit einer recht abgeschiedenen Lage erkauft. Ohne Auto oder den kostenlosen, hoteleigenen Shuttlebus kommt man nur schwer an den Strand oder den nahen Nachtmarkt oder wieder zurück. Der Shuttlebus-Service hat aber meist sehr unkompliziert fuktioniert. Ansonsten kann man sich auch ein Uber für wenig Geld rufen. Die Pool-Sperrzeiten über Mittag habe ich nicht ganz verstanden – gereinigt kann der ja auch ausserhalb der sonstigen Poolzeiten werden. Auch war schade, dass es keine Poolbar oder einen aktiven Getränke- oder Snackservice am Pool gab. Wir haben dann halt unsere eigenen Sachen mitgebracht.
• rosa (7/5): Atardecer de ensueño en Kenting - La habitación esta muy bien, las vistas del atardecer desde la habitacion. nespresso en la habitación que se agradece. El precio es demasiado elevado. Esta muy usado y se nota en muchos detalles. No esta todo 100% perfecto para lo que pagas, pero en general es un buen sitio. El desayuno esta bien pero solo hay una opción accidental L oque no me gustó que les pedí un cafe expreso en el desayuno y me lo quisieron cobrar (mal detalle para lo que se paga en el hotel) al dia siguiente me tuve que llevar el cafe echo de la nespresso de la habitación. Creo que esos detalles los tendrian que cuidar.

• Alex (9/5): A stunning location. - It was in a stunning location, and staff were amazing. Free transfer to local sites and Kenting town really helped us explore the area. The swimming pool was great. And dinner was amazing. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, but could be updated.

• TimothyH1956 (10/5): Relaxing and enjoyable stay - We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Gloria Manor. The grounds are very peaceful and serene, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The resort is very close to the Kenting National Park, about a 15 walk up the mountain. There is an organized tour, but we decided to go on our own one morning, and the park is beautiful. The resort runs a shuttle van into town, which makes it easy to visit the night market or the beaches. That made it very convenient to get around. The resort also runs a bus to Zuoying station in Kaohsiung daily Friday through Monday at a cost of $250 TWD (about $8 USD). We extended our stay until Tuesday so were unable to take it, but if you’re traveling on those days it is the best way to get to/from Kaohsiung. We love it here, and plan to return, hopefully next year.

• 411sandyy (10/5): Best hotel - It was truly a relaxing and memorable hotel. The staff are very friendly, proactive and helpful. We called late to let them know we will arrivr shortly and proactively they know we are on the phone and reserved seats for us for dinner. The hotel itself does not have much extra facilities but just enough, there’s an outdoor pool for you to swim in the mountains and spa for relaxing. The restaurant staff are friendly and accommodating. The biggest plus is it’s just inside the national park and it’s a short distance and the park is just wonderful. The hotel provides shuttle to and from the park and the night street.

• nichenl (8/5): A wonderful place to stay in Kenting - To be honest, the experience of staying was in general great! What amazed us at most is the cleanliness, you can‘t find a tiny bit of dust in the room even in the corner. However, a point which is kind of a way to be improved is the cuisine. That was not as delicious as expected, esp. comparing to the price.

• chenc440 (10/5): Amazing views and great service! - The stay was phenomenal! We came in as a group of 13 people and were greeted with wintermelon lemonade and wet towels to wipe our hands with. The staff was very enthusiastic, attentive, and thoughtful to all our needs. The tour lady was very energetic and pleasant while viewing the manor and helped us take a lot of amazing photos. The front desk overheard conversations of grandma not sleeping well and proactively helped with changing out the pillows to something more comfortable. Overall, the experience was amazing - we could not have asked for anything better!
• jackmT7854NF (10/5): Amazing Stay - Maybe the best hotel stay I’ve ever had. The service staff was extremely attentive and very helpful. There are numerous shuttle locations that they can drive you to nearby. The property itself was gorgeous and had many amenities. I went to the spa and it was very nice and relaxing. The breakfast at the hotel was nice and they had good wine options at the higher end. I have never been to the front desk of a hotel so many times in my life because there were so many amenities that we wanted to inquire about, and the staff was more than willing to help out with everything. It was a very welcoming environment. The rooms were very nice and had a wonderful view of the ocean. 10/10
