- Ingela (8/5): Slamrig matsal - Fina rum med fin utsikt. Rent och fint, men en urdålig matsal. Slamrigt och dålig service. Personalen hanterade all disk där gästerna satt. Personalen var mer intresserad av smutsig disk ön av gästerna. Glasbord, stengolv och inga textilier gjorde miljön urdålig. Vi har bott där förut och inte upplevt samma sak. Vi kommer inte att bo där igen.

- Anna (10/5): Mycket trevligt hotell. - Har bott flera gånger på detta hotell och är alltid lika nöjd. Trevlig personal vid incheckning och väldigt rymliga rum. Rent och fräscht och väldigt välstädat detta gäller inte bara rummet utan hela anläggningen. Mycket bra hotellfrukost.Ända som finns att påpeka är att det inte finns strykjärn på rummet och att vid det senaste besöket tydligen inte är tillåtet att köpa med dryck osv till rummet.

- SHARRON (4/5): - I must say that this hotel is definitely not a 5 star category. There is no air-conditioning in the lobby or the lifts. the staff were rude and not friendly at all. My partner and I wanted to see if we could arrange our wedding there and we were told the events manager will come and see us and never did at all. The rooms are dated and in need of updating. They claim to be a spa but they fail to tell you the spa is closed for 3 days of the week. so they need to take that out of the name. we booked as we wanted to use the spa. to be honest very disappointing for the money they charge and it doe snot fair well that we were ignored by the events manager Vanessa on showing her interest to host our wedding. Very disappointed

- Anas (8/5): - Im Großen und Ganzen eine hervorragende Anlage, geprägt von hoher Qualität und hohem Standard. Zimmer sind wirklich sehr groß und modern eingerichtet, wie jeder andere Quadratmeter im Hotel. Speisen im Restaurants (Frühstück und Abendessen und Büffetform) gut aber nicht die beste Auswahl und Qualität. Mitarbeiter im Restaurant mit mangelhaften Englischkenntnissen. Parken kostenfrei. Insgesamt ein dennoch sehr guter Aufenthalt, der jedoch seinen Preis hat.

- Rubén (8/5): Habitación muy amplia y espaciosa - La habitación muyyyyyy amplia y espaciosa. Las instalaciones están muy cuidadas y con bonitas vistas al campo de golf. Pudimos aparcar dentro del hotel sin pagar mas, lo que es un plus. El desayuno fabuloso, con mucha variedad de todo desde bollería, fruta a huevos, bacon o salchichas. Para todos los gustos. Los alrededores de lujo, con el puerto muy cerquita del hotel.
- Bent-Ove (10/5): Godt golfhotel tæt på marina og restauranter. - Godt hotel som ligger perfekt ved golfbanen og samtidig med gåafstand til by, marina og restauranter. God morgenmad, rummelige værelser og god altan.
- A M (8/5): Ruime kamers dicht bij zee - Hier krijg je nog lekker de ruimte op je kamer. De inloopdouche is heel praktisch. Het verlichtingssysteem van de kamers crimineel. Zonder eerst de bril op te zetten en zonder voldoende kennis van de Spaanse taal, is het gokken welk van de vele knoopjes wat doet. het bed is verder heerlijk. Wel wordt er overdreven grondig schoongemaakt, waardoor je zeeplucht op de kamer houdt. Het ontbijt is redelijk, de bar is goed en het Japanse restaurant de beste keuze voor een fijne avondmaaltijd. In de buurt liggen voldoende alternatieven voor het hotel restaurant en anders is er altijd nog de supermarkt tegenover het hotel. Het hotel is prima onderhouden en heeft een heerlijke tuin met zwembaden.

Tons of hot water for shower, but strangely very little hot water for bath tube. Buffet breakfast was so-so. Can walk to marina in 5 min from hotel. Large golf course, but I’m not a golfer so can’t comment on that. Ideal if visiting the marina to look at yachts for sale.

- Peter (10/5): Nice hotel, great staff - From arrival to departure we have enjoyed our stay in this great hotel. Staff is professional, friendly and focussed on a great guest experience, The view is great and the location absolutely fabulous. My wife, my 14 year old daughter and my 8 month old son were all very happy during our entire stay. This hotel has something to offer for all ages and that is very nice.
- Kayla (2/5): Not even close to being a 5* hotel. - This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. To claim to be a 5* is laughable. Upon arrival, we had no greeting eg "Welcome to the hotel, how was your trip, do you need help with luggage"? The receptionist merely barked that he needed my passport, I replied I didn't have it (we had driven 400 miles to the hotel rather than flying). Again he barked "I need it" without even looking up from his computer screen. Once this issue was overcome, we were handed our room keys and sent to the lift (in the wrong direction), no information about the hotel facilities were given e.g. breakfast time, pool location etc. The room had no coffee / tea making facility, not even a bottle of water was provided. This is pretty standard in a 2* or 3* hotel. One could call room service for refreshments at 2:50 euros for a cup of coffee. Paying the best part of £185 per night, this is totally unacceptable. We asked to borrow an iron and ironing board and we're told "No, you have to send to the laundry". We went to the club bar and after waiting 10 mins for service we went to the bar ourselves for service. The hotel rooms are spacious yet soulless, e.g. no artwork. There is one mirror in the whole room, some 10 feet from the plug socket so drying my hair was a bit of a challenge. I discovered on our last morning that yoga and the like take place, there was no hotel information book in the room. When we checked out of the hotel, we didn't even get a "Goodbye"
- Susan (10/5): Amazing!!! Well worth a stay!!!! - Fantastic hotel, definitely 5 star. The rooms are amazing. Even if your not playing golf it's well worth a visit. Hotel was immaculate. Staff were really helpful and the breakfast covered everything you could want.

My husband is a regular user of this hotel for business and we expected the usual service but as a family the room and service was poor. He doesn't normally eat in the hotel apart from breakfast so the dining was unknown. Disappointing and disengaged, sometimes discourteous staff. A few were great though!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - We stayed bed and breakfast. Breakfast was really good. From walking around the area this really is the best hotel. We travelled as a couple so it was good that in the main families were at the beach hotel. Getting out of Almerimar on buses was nigh on impossible ... but we were ok with that. Everywhere was easy walking distance.
- Blanca (10/5): Modern magnificent rooms - The Hotel Golf Almerimar was a the best hotel in Spain!!! Although it's location is like a barren desert and the nearby land is laced with ugly greenhouses, we would definitely stay there again if we were passing through this part of Spain. The rooms are super large with incredible terraces ,excellent modern decor, great air-conditioning and a super restful bed.The bath is very spacious with an exhilarating shower and large tub. The pool and outdoor areas were expansive and with loads of lush greenery against the hazy mountains.We are not golfers but this hotel made us want to take up golf!! The Spa was amazing and we had an incredible couples massage and enjoyed the spa area for an hour before our massages. Yep we felt newly revived when we hit that road back to Costa Brava.
- Tom (6/5): Not worth the money - Restaurant was closed upon arrival and so was the spa. The staff not very helpful and no services available at the pool area. We paid for a junior suite, the minibar was only stocked with 2 bottles of water.However, very nice breakfast and beautiful surroundings but this is certainly not a five star resort.
- Verified traveler (6/5): 3 night stay march 2016 - 0n arrival wanted to go to bed at 7:30pm as it had been a long day, only to be greeted by pumping (loud)aerobics music coming from directly under my room (no10). Gym underneath. Had to move room, new room not as nice, view of road and car park, instead of pool and golf course. Breakfast first rate 10 out of 10. Hotel nice and clean but surrounding area pretty quiet. Hotel wouldn't waiver my 15 euro bar bill when I checked out as compensation for moving rooms (not much to ask is it), as its "not the hotels policy too". One of the reception desk managers even began to raise his voice when I told him I wasn't happy, left hotel and will never return.
- Nicholas (10/5): Great hotel, but extra for spa, be warned! - Lovely hotel, close enough to town and harbour. Excellent room, fantastic bathroom and comfortable bed. Only disappointment was that you had to pay extra for use of the pool and spa facilities. €18 extra per person to have a swim is a bit steep. Think if you've booked a spa hotel, then the spa facilities should be included.
- Julie (10/5): AR Golf Hotel - Everything fabulous, apart from very noisy music, on till past 3am, (it was a saturday)we couldnt sleep, but we were on the 1st floor, probably over the top of the music, however i rang reception to complain, it did seem to quieten down afterwards. Breakfast was great.

- A (8/5): Pleasantly surprised - Pleasantly surprised by our experience at this hotel. We arrived tired from our journey and immediately had a swim in huge pool at sunset. Staff also very helpful with minor room glitches fixed as soon as we mentioned them. Terrific buffet for breakfast and jazz in the courtyard in the evening. We were a bit apprehensive that noise from two weddings held on Sat. Night might ruin our stay, but the rooms were soundproof, we just shut door to balcony and turned the air conditioning up. I feared this place might be corporate and soulless, but friendly, helpful staff and comfortable facilities made for a completely relaxing couple of days.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent family holiday! - The wife and I stayed at the Golf Almerimar for a week in mid-April with our 2 little girls (one of 4 and another of 18 months). We stayed in a Junior Suite on a B&B basis. Excellent spacious room with an excellent balcony and views over the mountains and golf course. Staff were all friendly. Helped to meet some old faces as I used to live in Almerimar. Breakfast was fantastic. Great diverse choice. Fuelled us for the day. They allowed all of us in the SPA area, but we needed special permission from management for little ones to come with us, and we had to go at specified time for specified duration. The SPA is good and worth the visit. The outdoor pool look inviting, but it was little cold for the girls. It was good to refresh in there after a round of golf. The golf course was in great shape.
