Ashley and Matt at the front desk were so professional and accommodating. We had a little hiccup the first night we arrived and they more than made up for that. They really made us feel valued. At the pool, Elzie and Sheila always had a smile on their faces and were ready to help with whatever we needed. This was overall a great experience for our family!

- M9101ZLlauram (10/5): Perfect Winter Escape - We had a wonderful long weekend getaway at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa in early February, and it was exactly what we needed to escape the cold New Jersey winter! Our room was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful view overlooking both the pool and the beach — the perfect way to start and end each day. The property itself is fantastic. We took full advantage of the amenities, including the gym (which has a gorgeous ocean view), a relaxing yoga class, the pool, and of course the beach just steps away. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, which made everything easy and convenient. We spent most of our time poolside, and that experience was truly elevated by Elzie Robinson. He went above and beyond — setting up towels and umbrellas, checking in throughout the day, lighting the firepit in the evening, and even bringing extra chairs so our family could sit together comfortably. He was friendly, funny, and made us feel completely taken care of. Special shoutout to a fellow New Jerseyan — he made our stay extra memorable! Overall, this resort is a perfect winter escape from NJ — warm sunshine, beautiful views, great amenities, and exceptional service. We would absolutely return.

Her name is Victoria , she was very rude to me and my family . My sisters and I came down for a birthday and when we went by the pool to get a drinks she had an attitude when we told her our drinks . She also didn’t know how to make a simple Paloma Correctly . Then we decided to go to the beach for a while and come back and grab some food and sit by the pool. By the time we can back for another drink it seemed as if she had a drink we could smell the alcohol on her breath. She was slurring her words as well . I am very disappointed as to how we were treated by this individual. I will never spend my money here ever again !! DO NOT GO HERE. Also when I asked to speak To a manager she told my sisters and I “ oh sorry they’re not in today” which also made me concerned because where’s the manager ?? I would never recommend this place very unprofessional and I witnessed the bartender hand the male server a drink for him drink as well while he was on the clock

You will not find a better energy giver to each and every guest from the smallest children to the most elderly and in between. Something to keep in mind while booking. Good place if you are looking for a quieter place without much expectation on amenities. - Water was not draining in the shower area as it was not leveled. We were given a mop and asked to mop everyday to avoid water retention - Breakfast was very average, similar to what we get in Fairfield Inn. - There were 2 small elevators in the North tower, where our room was. One elevator was broken/ out of service through out our stay. Ultimately we started taking the stairs to avoid long wait to go up or down. - The room was not cleaned one day when we specifically asked them to clean up - None of the issues were addressed during the checkout.

- kainzow (6/5): Marriott Pompano Beach does not elevate the Marriott brand (pun intended) - We just returned from our first stay at the Marriott Pompano Beach Resort. The resort seemed popular with returning & "long" duration guests. It is well located and has helpful and friendly staff, although they seemed to be understaffed in some areas. We stayed in the (presumably) older 9 story tower in which one of the two elevators was out of service. A longer term visitor mentioned that it had been out of service for at least a month. The out of service elevator seemed to be continuously sounding a high pitched alarm for about 24 hours during our stay one day. The "alarm" could be heard while waiting for the elevators, but not throughout the facility. I don't know what the alarm indicated, but there seemed to be no urgency to resolve it. The elevator seemed undersized for the workload of the tower. About 6 people or luggage pieces could fit into the elevator, so when people are checking in or out it was a challenge to "catch" an elevator ride when was space available in it. It was not uncommon to have to wait for the 2nd arrival of the elevator to be able to fit into it. Seems to me that a Marriott facility should be able to demand more timely maintenance on their equipment. Other than the elevator experience, our first impression of the place was that it a bit littered/cluttered in the pool & patio area with cups and straws scattered about. Hopefully visitors will pick-up after themselves to help the short-staffed crew keep standards up. Also, the food & drink options were a bit on the pricey side. Two after dinner cocktails with tip and tax cost $45, The beach and pool area were nice and the refinished rooms made the place seem a bit more modern, but I doubt that we'll return.

- Guide734716 (2/5): Horrible Tiki Bartender - Our daytime experience at the outside beachside tiki bar was extremely disappointing due to the bartender, Jess. She spoke rudely to children, repeatedly saying “what do you want,” which is completely inappropriate, especially in a family setting during the day. She stated that she is dating a coworker and implied that because of that, rules do not apply to her. She openly complained about not receiving tips, even though gratuity was automatically added to the checks, and said she did not believe she should have to share them. She also said there is “no management” and that the general manager “knows nothing,” which raised serious concerns about oversight. Most concerning, she appeared to be drinking alcohol while working. Several drinks were served incorrectly, and some were missing alcohol altogether. On top of that, the music playing at the beachside tiki bar in the middle of the day was filled with profanity and explicit sexual references while children were present. The overall behavior, language, and atmosphere were completely unacceptable and need to be addressed by ownership.

- kathrynrK9269DV (2/5): Complete chaos, poor management, very disappointing hard to relax in this enviroment. - Stayed 4 night I am a Platinum Elite member. Worst vacation ever, mostly due to horrible management. Check in took 25 minutes only two stations open with probably 25 people standing in front of desk. We are all now use to all of these fees, but $45 resort fee and $44 dollar parking plus tips add at least $100 a day. This is not a congested area parking fees are way to high and resort fee might be OK if they had their act together but they do not. Breakfast day 1 wait 15 minutes for a table to be told there is not a buffet (called ahead). Forced to order a particular meal to use my breakfast voucher instead "American Breakfast". Desk guy was rude about the fact that they did not have the promised buffet. Breakfast day 2, waited 30 minutes at table for server and coffee, then found out no "American Breakfast" as written on my voucher. They acted like it did not exist. Then only allowed the buffet I was originally told about. Sat at the table for 30 minutes could have just gone up. This is a Marriot Resort supposedly but the breakfast buffet was the same as at the Fairfield inn. Eggs and sausage were empty. Asked for more they came out in about 5 minutes. I thought wow at least they are fresh but they will ice cold actually. Not a RESORT experience at all. Nothing around this hotel so you have to drive to dinner for the most part. Asked front desk about restaurant, they suggested we go elsewhere. Bars- Over priced, small, lousy drink again nothing like the Marriott resorts I have been to. On our first evening around 5 we went to the pool bar and had the rudes bar tender. Price for a Rum and Diet was $18. Was given 10 drink tickets for Platinum, we could not use they on Rum and Diet only Gin and tonic only drink that counted. Marriott is now telling my friend what she must drink, LOL. Usually pool bar tenders are friendly and vibrant. She was awful, I just wanted to leave, but with my friends $18 basic cocktail already poured we stayed. I decided to just get a Pina Coloda mocktail with my drink ticket. It arrived in a baby cup all of about 3 ounces at best. I just had to laugh. Luxury resort, not a chance!!! I did order one with alcohol the next day. It was about 6 ounces and cost $24. Not worth it, frankly just a money grab on behalf of the hotel. Don't waste your time at the bar, bring your own for the room. The Room- mostly clean except the brown stripe on the front of the toilet below seat, clearly had that and spray on it and had not been cleaned. The rest of the room was clean but very sparse, I did like the beds. The balcony to our suite was about 230 feet I believe. We had two tiny short chairs and a small side table. You would expect if a resort had these big balconies it might have 2 comfortable chair to sit on. The view was beautiful. I spoke to managers several times on the trip, they were not helpful, not understanding, and did little to right so many wrongs. I asked for some compensation for I paid 63000 in points for just one of the nights. The manager gave me a credit for 8000, again that was just for one night. I honestly would have expected a phone call and an apology. I told him he should comp the one night he refused and gave me $44 one days worth of resort fee for the hotel that was clearly not a resort. Lastly on the bright side, Sheila at the pool works hard and hustles to get you chairs even though it is a way crowded, she does an amazing job and should be commended. Also the guys at the Beach were amazing as well. It is pretty crowded there too though. Do not expect to be more then 24 inches from the next chair on a week day. If you want to relax and enjoy ammenities frankly it is hard to do here in all of the CHAOS. Marriott needs to get some management in here that can run the place. It is a disaster.

- Darin_Ingenito (2/5): If You Want Good Service Stay Away From Here - This is my review directly to Marriott. I am a long-time (20 year) customer of Marriott that stayed at hotels every week for my job. Happy reading! I will begin this review as a customer who traveled to work on a plane for over 15 years. I have always stayed at Marriott as you can see my status. Obviously COVID changed everything, so I do not travel as much as I did pre-COVID. The Good: The rooms were exceptionally clean and well appointed, as the hotel was just renovated. However, you should read the reviews on how you treated guests during the construction period; thank god I did not get caught up in that. Everything felt new — from the furnishings and flooring to the bathroom fixtures and lighting. Overall, the entire hotel had a contemporary, updated feel. The lobby, hallways, and common areas were spotless and stylish, giving the impression that the property is either newly built or very well maintained. It seems like the every hotel is moving away from having a private bathroom which is disappointing and your rooms had a sliding door with no lock and large gaps on either side of the door (my wife complained about this one). I guess your bathrooms are the better designed ones than I have been reading about. The Bad: It is hard to determine which part was bad as I think I have to continue on with everything being ugly. The Ugly: Staffing. Where do I begin. We did stay during Presidents week, however I would assume the GM or the person in charge of staffing would know this and staff accordingly. The lack of service was atrocious. Every morning we wasted 30 mins or more waiting for food and/or trying to pay the bill. Service at the pool bar was non-existent. Check my bill. I honestly did not purchase more of the ridiculous overpriced drinks because I was simply unable to. The Tiki bar is a nice touch however same story there. And it was not just that these folks were overwhelmed, they truly seemed pissed off and gave me a bad attitude when I actually received service. Poolside service was also non-existent as well but again I think I saw one woman handling this so I really cannot blame her. I have to blame management. Now I am not sure if this problem is also related to the new generation of people who do not want to work. However, my trips last year to Bahamas I do not recall this as the service there was top notch. I guess coming off that trip I was spoiled. And by the way, food and drinks there were way more expensive and I still purchased them. Lastly, the front desk always seemed to be overwhelmed; during my stay I consistently saw long lines to check in. Luckily when I checked in this wasn’t a problem however this is a big turn off right off the bat as it happened to me occasionally during my 20 year travel run. I really felt bad for all those customers who got caught up in this disaster. Last but not least. Let me be very clear — the staff at the beach chair hut were the worst part of this entire stay. Their attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Basic customer service seemed like an afterthought. Every interaction felt like we were inconveniencing them simply by asking for assistance. It got to the point where I genuinely dreaded having to deal with them each day. That should never be the case at a hotel charging premium rates. Management needs to seriously address the lack of training, supervision, and accountability in this area. This issue alone warrants a direct conversation, because it significantly damaged what otherwise could have been a positive experience. So from all of this, I most likely will never be returning. My family comes down to Florida once or twice a year consistently. We have 3 or 4 go to Marriott’s and my wife decided to give your hotel a try. Wow, what a colossal mistake.
- 144frequentt (4/5): Disappointment, dont bother with this hotel. Felt unwelcome by some employees and overall poor serervice - Don't bother- overpriced and poor service. Poor service all centered around nothing being done with requests (which all seem to funnel through the front desk team) (and requests made or questions asked when it wasn't long lines, the team would actually answer the phone and also not hang up on the call without speaking, etc.) Not sure if it was lack of training , attitude, overworked, something else, or a combination. But the experience after spending quite a bit for a room, was not good and didnt feel like a customer, let alone a platinum level member at all. One example, when headed out one day requested they ask housekeeping if possible to clean the room while out. Two hours later, room wasn't cleaned. Certainly wasn't the incredibly nice housekeeper's fault, as she never received the request. Nor did the follow up call to front desk for some fresh towels ever go beyond whoever amswered that call - nothing delivered. The two stand outs were the extremely nice and friendly housekeeping team, and the team working in the restaurant where the service was exceptional - ate there twice at different times of day and everyone couldn't have been more friendly. There are a lot of places to stay in the Fort Lauderdale area. Absolutely do not recommend this one, especially if you value some service. This was a lot of money and felt like the central team, around the front desk, etc, wished we weren't there.

- Wanderlust121SS (2/5): Horrible, insensitive management - Do not stay at this property unless you want to support a group of heartless staff. My husband and I had a booking made here through a third party and had a medical emergency that prevented us from making our trip. Despite calling and essentially begging the folks here to offer us a partial refund or rebooking us at any other time, they denied our request and said the “management and director of room services” denied your request. I hope they run into similar emergencies and find the hospitality we received waiting for them. It really is unfortunate. We had saved up and were looking forward to this trip and were met with a lack of understanding and extreme inflexibility. The 3rd party we booked through clearly said they’d make an exception and provide a refund if the hotel management would accept. The reality is people have emergencies that come up - we are all prone to them. Saying “here is the policy” is not human, empathetic or helpful. It is also not “hospitable”. Nice to know you’re purely commercial and don’t actually genuinely care about your guests.

The manager and staff couldn't be worse. 1) breakfast buffet: restaurant is half empty and its a 20-minute wait for the buffet. The manage said he couldn't seat us because he has trouble getting staff since "we pay so little" (18% tip is included on all resort purchases fyi) 2) beach bar sometimes opens at 11am sometimes 12:30 and doesn't have a register. So when you order or try to close out it takes 10 mins as the bartender has to run up to the restaurant to do anything. 3) trash- they never pick up the trash we saw rats eating out of a garbage can at the pool that has been full for 2 days and had 3 bags of foots sitting on the side since people didnt know where to put it. 4) hotel is full of construction still- the manager said sorry we are still cleaning up from a reno. THEN DONT OPEN IS YOUR ARENT READY!!! 5) They staff at the pool bar is clueless. We went to order lunch for the kids and they said we are overwhelmed right now we aren't taking orders for 15 mins. then proceeded to stand behind the bar and look at their phones.

Did I miss something? She then proceeded to make my drink with zero alcohol. Needless to say will not be ordering any more drinks from her or returning to this hotel. This is just one glimpse of the quality of service that Marriott provided on our trip on top of our room not being ready for 4 hours despite early check in, keys not working, employee tantrums etc.
- Mrjason5 (8/5): More like a Courtyard than a Marriott - I have mixed feelings about this resort hotel. It’s branded a Marriott but the experience felt more like a Courtyard. The rooms were clean and ours was recently renovated. It’s on the beach. The beds were comfortable. The balcony was a plus. On the minus the morning buffet was not what I expected from a Marriott branded hotel. There was little fresh fruit. No cheese or cold cuts laid out. On two days there was no cream cheese to go with the large bagels. No English muffins. On one day our omelette order went in and never arrived. The housekeeping was generally fine but one day they did not replenish the coffee supplies and on two days they did not clean the room until 5 pm There is no place to hike or walk. You can walk down Ocean Blvd though. There is no gift shop only a tiny self service kiosk. So I can recommend this hotel but don’t expect a Marriott quality resort. It’s a Courtyard in all but name. If I returned I would try the Residence Inn by Marriott next door.

The new pool is beautiful and the drinks were great for a sunny day outside. Our vacation is over but cant wait to go back. Pro tip- go for dinner and try the branzino and a very unique ceasar salad.
- BeachloverfromMTL (2/5): Major disappointment!! - I was drawn in by the idea of a newly renovated, small Marriott resort on the beach, but we're here right now and very disappointed. When we pulled up, I thought we had come up the side entrance -- no proper signage for the entrance, the valet desk and adjoining door make it all feel like a delivery entrance. I knew this was a small resort, but it's really not very well run. Despite charging a resort fee (of course) there are not nearly enough chairs at the pool. The poor staff are running around doing their best but there's clearly not enough of them. The big water tumblers by the pool run out of water and no one refills, no one is available to come take a food or drink order by the pool or beach so instead of relaxing you end up running back and forth to get your order, then to get your own drinks, then to ask them to clear up the last people's used dishes. Ran out of chicken fingers (come on -- that's a kids' holiday staple!), and both restaurant menus are VERY limited (And Kester's, while delicious, offered little selection. Definitely much too upmarket for this hotel). No coffee shop or other breakfast option, so you either order your $18 avocado toast or go elsewhere. One bottle of water given in the room but I was told it's for the coffee machine and if you want water you need to request it daily. Another guest requested some last night and he was told he needs to buy it for $4/bottle. Haven't seen that in a long time -- most resorts give out water bottles freely and happily now. Nothing really for the kids to do -- no games, no pool toys (other than 2-3 noodles), no giant chess board, connect four or corn hole, as most resort have. Rates are high -- on par with resorts -- but this is just a hotel disguised as a resort. The staff are doing their best (Asheleigh was great, as wall the man at the towel hut by the pool), but I would really recommend staying somewhere else.

The restaurant manager is one of the most incompetent humans I have ever met. Not only for us but hotel guest after hotel guest were complaining how he had no idea what he was doing. The rooms are nice and re done but they opened them up without finishing them. Nothing better than a room with little pieces of blue painters tape everywhere. Also, lots of dust in the hallways. The front desk are untrained and just make sh*t up when they don’t know the answer. Not a manager to be found anywhere. The single and only bright spot of this place is Ricardo the bartender on the beach. Great drinks!!!

- karenmW1429WE (10/5): Best December 2025 - My weekend was everything I needed in my end of year business retreat. From the valet on arrival with warm hellos and can I assist you with your luggage to the check in process. I have nothing but greatness to share. The newly renovated rooms was very roomy and bright. The restaurant on the arrival with the staff full of smiles. The food was delicious. My breakfast experience each morning with Adrienne and Georgianna was a great way to start my day. Then I went out to the beach the service did not stop. Elzie made sure I had my towels before heading out to the beach. The fun on the beach with Ricardo making sure I had food and drinks. Once the beach was to cool we sat by the pool and Dede continued great service. Just great service every day. I hated to leave.

He’s so friendly and great with the kids—all the parents trusted him and commented about how wonderful he was. I felt safe knowing he was around the pool looking out for my kids. He really makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Truly a gentleman and wonderful soul. The beach and food are fantastic. I only wish the hot tub jets were working.

From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional — especially Deshan at the front desk, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. When we mentioned it was our anniversary, she graciously surprised us with a lovely gift of wine and fruit that made our celebration extra special. Our oceanfront executive suite was beautiful and luxurious with stunning views. The newly renovated pool area is gorgeous, and the resort’s direct beach access made it easy to enjoy jet skiing and long, relaxing days on the sand. Between the fantastic amenities, the tranquil oceanfront setting, and the warm, attentive staff, we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Deshan, for making our anniversary unforgettable!

The staff here is attentive to every possible detail, always smiling and kind and going out of their way to be helpful. I did not meet one person that worked here that did not seem genuinely happy and eager to help. The food is absolutely amazing. The beds and pillows are so comfortable this brand new resort is so tastefully decorated and the suites are breathtaking -as are the views. I just held an integrative medical conference for around 150 people and things could not have gone better. The food was delicious- beach dinner so well done. I am excited to announce that the Pompano Beach Marriot is the new home of my annual conference, The LymeBytes! Symposium. Thank you Fanci, Carlisle and your entire staff!!! YOU all made my conference a huge success.

His professionalism and warm attitude truly made a difference — you can tell he genuinely cares about guests feeling comfortable and well attended. The valet service was also excellent. Fast, polite, and very careful with the car, which is something I always appreciate when traveling. The stay itself was fantastic: spotless rooms, clean common areas, and an overall relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. Definitely a five-star experience in every way. I’d be happy to return.

None of that seems like it should be five stars however, it's the people. Sheila out by the pool always has a smile at always always always there to help if you need it. Then there's Kim at the restaurant when you walk in you're greeted by a nice smile easy conversation she sits you buy a nice table and then Georgia comes over or Adrian there's two more spectacular people they're friendly they go out of their way to make sure you got your coffee or your beverage or your food is warm. Then at night if you go to the bar there's Shane. Just another nice nice person with a smile on an easy conversation and really good bartender. So the five stars goes to the five people

We were part of the visiting hockey team this past weekend, and the resort handled our large group flawlessly. The accommodations were excellent, and the staff was always friendly and accommodating. I want to specifically commend FRANCESCO, one of the valets. He was incredibly efficient and professional, managing all the extra luggage and arrivals/departures from the team with ease. The absolute best part of my whole stay was the pool! Elzie Robinson is AMAZING! He made lounging by the pool so much better. He was so attentive, always smiling, and making sure that everyone was comfortable and had what they needed. I saw him go out of his way to give every guest incredible service. The best part was that it was evident that it was completely genuine. I was so excited the next morning when I came down to the pool and he was the first person I saw! I knew it was going to be another great day. How lucky you are to have him! I can’t wait to be back lounging by the pool.

- 755mylar (10/5): Great Vacation Thanks To Staff - I am a frequent traveler for both business and personal trips and this hotel was one of the best properties I've stayed at. The accommodations were very nice, the beds in the rooms were comfortable and the rooms were modern. The staff was the highlight of the entire stay. Specifically Elzie at the pool made sure we were always taken care of and was very attentive. The front desk staff Dietrick and Valesia were also very nice, welcoming, and accommodating. I will definitely consider returning to this property for my future vacations to the area.

I enjoyed the various amenities and activities offered by staff including yoga with Stephanie and Phoenix which made my stay one to remember. The pool area has plenty of seating and direct beach access as well with a hot tub to enjoy. The staff was exceptional in helping my vacation be smooth as well. Elzie and Sheila in the pool area were very attentive and helpful with my needs as they arose and had a bubbly spirit as well. Valesia and Deitrich at the front desk also were resourceful and greeting my party and I warmly. I was able to fully relax knowing I was in good hands, I recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely come back in the future!

Started from the check-in Arda and Maya Friday night were amazing. Made my birthday very special. The view from our room of both the pool and the beach breathless. The pool staff Elize and the bartenders Victoria and Frantz awesome . Breakfast staff, Adrienne and William and the restaurant manager Mauricio were great. The hotel was recently renovated four months ago and it’s beautiful. One tower is still under construction. But the stay was amazing. Highly recommended.

The one down side was the spa...it needs work. The jets were not at all powerful or completely functional.

- deborabN6568LW (8/5): Good - Overall, the hotel is very good. However, the daily rate is not inexpensive – it is on the higher side. For that reason, I believe they should reconsider the price charged for parking, since valet parking is $44 plus taxes per car, which comes to almost $50 per night. On top of that, they also charge extra for internet, there is a resort fee, and the gym was closed during my stay. Another situation that I found a bit unpleasant happened right when we arrived. My daughter was on the phone and had just sat on a chair for less than two minutes, when a staff member approached us to ask if we had paid to sit in that pool area. We were fully dressed and had no intention of staying there, so I felt that approach was a little impolite. On the positive side, I would like to highlight that the restaurant staff treated us very well and were extremely welcoming and attentive, which made our experience there much better.

- Carlos (6/5): - The pool man (or towel attendant) is too rude and impolite. He made our time in the pool uncomfortable, we can’t enjoy it.
- Gina (6/5): - Upon check-in, there was a wait for valet, a wait for check-in, and knowing it was my priority to get to the beach for sunset, it was 5:36pm and when we asked the young man on the beach sitting on his phone, about available chairs, he said they close at 6pm and there were none available. There was a stack of chairs and he was saying it’s too late to bring anymore out. He eventually did but was clearly upset and was banging them around. I get it, there was only 20 minutes or so but we gladly would have gotten them ourselves and put them back had he just asked. You get charged a daily resort fee yet charged for wifi if not a bonvoy member. In addition to the resort fee, there’s a daily parking fee, everything is very costly and upon checkin, we were told about breakfast and based on that we mistook that for meaning it was complimentary. We live in FL but stay in hotels on the beach a few times a year and however we didn’t feel this one delivered considering all of the fees and the service.
